I am so sorry that you are losing your best friend at your work environment. That is so hard. We can get so close to the people we work with because we see them all the time. At least we do have good communication tools but it is so hard to stay in touch. Hopefully you will find someone to become close with that you see a lot. So sorry. Have nice glass of wine in front of the fireplace and maybe that will lift your spirit! It does for me...LOL

Well AF came for me and I am so happy. I have to go to the clinic on Monday for all of my tests to be done and then they will tell me when to start the stims. I AM SO HAPPY about this!!!!

Talk to you soon.....

Thanks for all the info on the differences on acupuncture I missed my appt today with a different place since I am not permitted to drive yet..

I had drama the day before my scan to start Lupron I was in the regular DR office with what they thought was gallbladder attacks. SO I scheduled my appt for sono to find out too bad there was no appt till Monday. BUT I went to RE for baseline anyway and just asked if IF it was my gallbladder if I could continue my cycle and she said she did not think that if I ended up with the worst case and needed surgery I would have to stop.
STOP after all the wait. DAMN  ..... anyway I ended up in the hospital that night (Weds) to find out that yeah I had to go for emergency surgery Thurs. So depressed I didn't want to hear them say I had to stop I called RE office and they had one of the DRs call me back in my hospital room. Dr Asmar to my suprise said that if I wanted to continue I could YEAH WOO HOO..... So DH snuck in my needle with a double dose of Lupron and my pills. He was so silly pulling out of his jacket like he was a lil kid hiding something .. It was so cute. Oh well...

Will catch up with personals later DH is watching to make sure I rest rest rest.. lol

I do so hope everyone is well and having a great weekend.

Good evening / afternoon / morning lovely ladies
Here are some more pick me up thoughts to perk us up for the next few days

•Plan a night out together to a movie, dinner, show, the beach with pizza, stars and moonlight what ever you can think ok – it will give you something to look forward to – or even better make it a surprise for your DH. Pick your DH up after work and give him some clues to work out where you are going. Planning the “surprise” will be a great distraction and doing something that isn’t IVF related is a great boost.

•Send your DH a card and a quirky gift – something fun that is going to make him smile and remember some of the things that are special and fun between the 2 of you.

•Chocolate – lots of it

•The fact that I have family, friends and a dh who I love and who love me whether I get a BFP or a BFN.

•Plan a few days away in the middle of your treatment – something to look forward to and a bit of time out for you and your DH

Does any one else have some ideas to add to the list this week?

Have a good day everyone
Hugs to you all

Hello Girls

I am so excited to start stimmies tomorrow! I go in for my work up and then I will let you know what they say! I guess they call in the afternoon to let you know what is going on with the shots. Cant wait!

Shantala
Nice list-I will start stimming tomorrow night I believe if you could change that-Just when you have a free second! Glad that the new job is going well. So glad that you stopped in!!!

Angela
I would like to add-listen to a good cd with headphones and just really try to relax. That is what I do and it blocks out all other things. Not like heavy metal or something just nice relaxing music....

Steph
OH NO!!!! Not a surgery on top of everything else!!! That is horrible. How are you feeling now? Better I hope. That is no joke. My mom was crying when hers flared up. So cool that you can keep going though. That is really cool. Hopefully you are back on the mend. That is funny about your DH and the drugs!!!!

Hello Ladies:) It is Sunday, the sun is shining, and it is just an overall wonderful day. I do believe spring has found it's way to Texas. It has been about 80 degrees the past two days...windy, but still the sun is shining. Amazing how we take these things for granted unless we don't have them.
Have been bleeding for a week now...not really AF as it is too light, just a pain in my hinny. Hope it stops eventually!!!
Just got off the phone with the "drug" company. Will be receiving my meds on Tuesday. I am pretty excited. Then they get to sit in the refrigerator for about a month. Guess I can jut prep myself for all those lovely needles. Oh, and they were much, much cheaper than I expected. They were LESS than $2000:) Yippee

Steph- Bless your heart. I can only imagine the ups and downs that you have been going through. fortuatley, your doctor has agreed to let you continue your cycle. That must be a real upper for you:)
Your husband sounds like a great guy...lots of silly antics to keep a smile on your face.

Shantala- You did a great job on the list. I understand the pressure of starting a new job, and being ever so busy. I am glad you are enjoying the job. I think once a week for fixing the list would be wonderful.

TansRN- I am so glad that AF has finally shown her miserable, but happy face. Does it not amaze you how desperately we want AF right now, when normally we are dreading her showing her face. hehehe

ltaylor- sorry to hear about you losing your best friend. I have been there a few times. It is amazing though how it can open your eyes up to some new friends. we are all so fortunate to have the wonderful ladies on this site to help us through. Though, I understand how nice it is to have a face to face conversation with someone who somewhat understands. We all need an out other than our dh's.

Well, I hope all is going well with everyone who I missed. Everyone enjoy their weekend..and their wonderful Mondays!!!

HRobinson -Doesn't it just make ya excited knowing that the meds are on the way and that means the start is near.As I found out AF is a real witch just taunt her with chocolate LOL

ltaylor - Sorry about your friend but true friends are always there even if now you have to call instead of walk down the hall.

Shantala - So nice to see you again. So happy to hear that you love your new job.

Trans - Hey so glad you are excited- crazy that we get so excited about jabbing ourselves with needles huh.

Well as for here it is driving DH nuts that we can't play around like we usually do.. Well its driving me nuts to.. We usually act like kids playing about. Overall I do feel better just not back to 100% just yet..God I hope soon. The Lupron is going well 6 days till I stimm Yeah!!

Wishing everyone a great weekend. :D

Shantala,

Once a week is fine but if others would like it updated more often I'm happy to do the list each day for the next couple of weeks if you need a hand - starting a new job is always full on - make sure you take care of you, give yourself some down town and a couple of treats to look forward to

Angela

Steph- What does a gallbladder attack feel like? I had horrible pains a couple of weeks ago from under my chest down. It felt like horrible cramping. I was crying and yelling and DH had me in the car to go the ER after 45 min. of it, then they slowly went away. I never got into the ER. I was afraid to go because the pain was almost gone and I thought they would think I was crazy to come in and not even have the pain anymore. My MIL said she thought it was gallstones. She has had them.

Hope everyone is having good weather this weekend. I have a job interview tomorrow, so I'm trying to prepare for that. Write more tomorrow when i'm done with interview and the stress is over!!
Jenn

Jen it is alot of pressure and pain in your tummy under your chest(BBs) pain shooting into back. I don't know what a heart attack feels like but I thought that is what I was having. The first lasted like 20 mins and that was a while ago then about 3 weeks ago it happened again and lasted about 2&1/2 hours NO matter what you do and which way you turn you can not get comfortable. Now this last time it lasted 4&1.2 hours SHEWWW and it was hell. Just be carefull All you have to do is goto DR and tell them you think that you had an attack and they can order a sono to see if you have stones.I ended up in ER before my appt ha ha. GOOD LUCK I don't wish that on anyone.

Take care.

Tia, Hang in there, take one day at a time. You can do it and you are a week closer than you were last week.

Nimble – hope you are doing OK

CarolynB – How are your pep talks going - keep working on the PMA with your eggs – they can’t wait to meet their other ½’s and have some fun !!!

Nicola – I hope you are starting to feel better and they symptoms are subsiding

LTaylor – Did you find some lovely flowers to plant in your garden? I am sorry you friend and confident is moving to another job – can you keep in touch and catch up for lunch occasionally. I know it isn’t the same but we are all just down the virtual hall if you want to chat any time.

Tanya – I hope you are surviving the night shift. Yippee – you get to start your stims tomorrow, you are on your way. Remember one day at a time. You will get there. Hugs (I’ll add your pick me up to the list – sounds lovely and relaxing, I’ve promised myself I’ll try it later in the week)

Steph - Glad you are able to keep going with your cycle, I hope you are feeling a lot better, I have a picture in my mind of your DH peering around the corner to make sure no-one is looking before sliding the needle swiftly into you, extracting it then checking around the corned again to ensure no one saw !!!

Shantala – Glad the new job is going well, as I said earlier take it easy on yourself – you have had a challenging few weeks, remember to give you and your DH some TLC. Plan a treat for the 2 of you……Take care.

Literatriz – glad you got your meds – one step closer

Jenn – It sounds like you have some good people to deal with organising your medication. 14 days to go and counting. All the best with the job interview!!

Hrobinson – I hope you were able to get a bit of time out from work this weekend – isn’t it amazing what a difference a little sunshine can make

Jen779 – happy sailing & Sophie – give the Eiffel tower a smile for me
-
lwalker25 - It is scary, daunting and frustrating starting all this and your feelings are perfectly normal. I found the process for my 1st attempt a step into the unknown. At the clinic it is a normal routine for them – for me I felt like I was out on a limb and I felt silly about asking questions and I wasn’t sure what to expect. There were 2 things I found really helpful. This website and all the lovely ladies here were a wealth of info and support and secondly I wrote a list of questions and asked the nurse when she called with some blood test results.
We are here to hold your hand and help get you though the next few months – you will look back in a few months and think wow I did it !!!

As for me our Italian night went really well, I think our next one will be a 70’s evening as everyone is keen to get dressed up. I think it will have to be Fondue on the menu that evening. We will be doing an Octoberfest in October and my DH (originally from the States) is keen to do a 4th July theme also.

Have a good day everyone, Take care and I’ll catch up with you all soon

Love to you all

Perk me up thoughts and ideas for today

•Listen to a good cd with headphones and just really try to relax. That is what I do and it blocks out all other things. Not like heavy metal or something just nice relaxing music....

•Head out for a walk and fresh air - 20 min at lunch time is a great refresher and pick me up

•Plan a night or 2 away part way through your cycle (or just a night out together to a movie or dinner) – it will give you something to look forward to – or even better make it a surprise for your DH. Pick him up after work and give him some clues to work out where you are going.

•Plan a few days away in the middle of your treatment – something to look forward to and a bit of time out for you and your DH

my2 - sorry you had a gall bladder attack and interesting how you thought it might have been a heart attack. my dh was rushed into hospital in jan with an infected gall bladder and had pains exactly where you described them. when the ambulance came to our house they said they think its a gall bladder attack but that the symptoms are very similar to a heart attack and it could be that. so you're not wrong at all. anyway, he's having his gall bladder out on friday. hope you're better now.

arizona and others - thanks for letting me know about the list. and arizona thanks for offering. people, shout if you want the list and i will email it to arizona.

hi to everyone else...sorry, in my lunch hour and have to be quick!
