hello ladies I have a question. Have you had gas (sorry tmi) and you felt a little crampy at times but when you release it, you feel a lot better? I just want to know if anyone had that, b/c I do. I'm only 5w3d...so I don't know what is going on at this point.

Sameera- I'm telling you, my mom spoils me. I feel so bad that she comes to my house to clean, but she always tells me it gives her joy to know she is helping me. I only hope that I can be as good of a mom to my baby as she is to me.
DH thinks 'we need to cut the umbilical cord'....he doesn't understand why we are so close. My mom lives about 10 mins away...she recently moved to our town to be close when the baby comes. But we talk or text everyday and he thinks that is weird. I'm like, that is so normal! But his mom & sister are not close at all, so maybe that's why he thinks its weird.
DH is going out of town twice this month, so my mom is going to stay with me (I am still doing PIO's).
Plus I think my mom is trying to prove to DH that she will be a good nanny/housekeeper.
God Bless!

chelly - sounds like your DH is not use to very close mother/daughter relationship. But he will learn to appreciate it when baby arrives.

But I would die to have my mom around me to help me out or something.. we aren't that close but mainly because of all the stuff that happened in the past. We don't agree on a lot of things but that's OK i have learn to live with it..

My DH's mom is wonderful she is always calling to check on me and see if she could help me out any way possible. So that's extremely helpful.

so i would say your DH would get over it eventually LOL :)

Hi Ladies-
I am not officially a part of this site because I dont officially know my due date...but I will hopefully find out tomorrow. I have my first U/S tomorrow. Based upon the online calculators I think I am about 6 weeks along. Any input as to what I should expect for my U/S tomorrow? Is the 2at U/S usually a vaginal or not? I cant wait!
Thanks for your help!

CookingGirl - Congrats on your BFP!! Yes, ultrasound is Transvaginal - and you may or may not be able to see the heartbeat but you will see sac or sacs depending on if you have more than one implant :)

Good luck tomorrow with your ultrasound and keep us posted!

my next u/s is tomorrow...for some reason my m/s is getting worse! I get the awful dry heaving while i'm driving to work...I'm sure some people must see me and think i'm going into convulsions or something! I've tried eating crackers before getting up, drinking ginger ale etc but nothing works. My RE absolutely does not prescribe anything for the nausea...they really don't want us to take anything. I am miserable until about 1 or 2pm...its starting to make it really hard to practice. Anyone have any all-natural suggestions for the nausea?

God Bless!

oh, BTW- do any of yall watch jon & kate plus 8?
I love that show! I think it was also a reason I did IVF instead of IUI!! Their kids are sooo cute, but OMG such a handful! I would have loved twins, but I am perfectly happy with my one bean! I was watching last night, everytime they show Kate's belly when she was pregnant...wow...it looks like she's hiding a torpedo or something!
DH is already talking about #2...I was like hold on, lets get #1 born before we start talking #2. To be honest, I don't know if I could go through IVF again. We only have 1 frostie, I would try a FET but I don't know about another fresh cycle!
sorry, I have word diahrrea this morning!

Chelly - have you tried taking gingerale or lemonade with crackers? maybe that might help your nausea?? I have heard that helps but I have personally never tried it..

My DH watches that show and he loves it - I on the other hand does not watch it cause it stresses me out just watching it.. I dunno how she manages it and I dunno what I'm gonna do with Twins and a 3 year old together LOL

As far as going thru IVF again - Do you HAVE to go thru IVF each time you wish to get pregnant?? or can you try on your own again later??

This is our LAST pregnancy oh i dont think i can go thru this or anything else LOL I will be having hysterectomy as soon as I have the babies...

so hopefully you don't have to go thru IVF again but if you do I wish you all the best :)

Atleast you already have experience with kids! I have no experience with babies...I have not even changed a diaper...so this will be all-new!
I like watching the show just b/c I think it is so amazing that each of the sextuplets has their own unique personality. I am sure will be just fine with your kids!
Was your 3yr old natural conception?
I drink gingerale in the morning, it helps a bit but not that much. I shouldn't be complaining, I am blessed to have my baby.
We tried to conceive for 2 years before doing IVF...I really don't know if we will be able to conceive naturally after this baby. I suppose we could try, but more than likely we will have to do IVF. If this baby is a girl, then DH will def want to try for a boy. If this baby is a boy, I would love to have a girl but its not a big deal. Its a bigger deal for him to have a son than for me to have a daughter.
God Bless!

Well its official...its TWINS and my due date is Feb 3rd. I saw their little hearts beating. One was 111BMP the other was 109BMP. I guess there is an 18% chance that something could happen to the one of them between now and my next U/S on 6/25. So I'm going to keep my fingers crossed!

Congrats Cookinggirl!!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that your little beans stay safe. :)

Sameera: You are no sweet. This is such a great forum because we all know how hard it was to get here.

Chelly: I think you are so lucky to have such a good relationship with your mom. DH talks to his mom everyday. I hope my kids are like that. MIL and FIL will definitely be helping once the babies come. I am lucky I got the good inlaws, DH got screwed. LOL

I am so jealous, I cleaned myself this weekend, and the dust gave me a WICKED sinus headache. I am not going to do that again for awhile. hehe I am new to John and Kate +8, but I got a season pass on Tivo and I am almost caught up. I just love it. DH watches it with me sometimes. He likes when John gets snippy. hehe

AFM we got to see the little beans yesterday. One of them was moving around and the other was sleeping. They are both facing the same way. They look like little aliens, just like the pictures in the book. hehe I love getting to see them. I am doing the Nuchal Translucency in two weeks so we get to see them again. I can't wait. DH didn't come to this one, I hope he gets to the next one.

Looking forward to hearing about your U/S Chelly.

-Tiffany

P.S. If you are close to 10 weeks. By 10 weeks, 20 tiny baby teeth are forming in the gums, she squints, swallows, moves her tongue, and if you stroke her palm, will make a tight fist. The toes will develop in the next few days and brain waves can be measured and she will react to loud noises. DH says I can't yell at him anymore cause the babies can hear me.

cookingirl- congratulations on the twins!! wow, so that makes 3 sets on the jan board?? looks like 2009 is going to be a double trouble year for yall!

waiting- good to hear you are close to the in-laws; my in-laws mean well but i think they will have quite a different philosphy than me when it comes to raising kids. Did you see the episode where she showed her pre-tummy tuck belly?? Its was crazy...she called it "bread dough". They are hilarious...sometimes she's mean to Jon, but he does get snippy back.
How far along are you? What is 'nuchal' test? This is my 1st and its a singleton, so I don't know anything about multiples. The RE had given me all these pamphlets about genetic testing for the baby...I hadn't even thought about it. I had scanned the 7 week u/s and emailed it to my family...hopefully I'll get another picture tomorrow.

God Bless our little beans!

Tiffany - wohoo glad to hear both your lil babies are doing well. I really hope your DH gets to go with you on the next scan :)

Chelly - My daughter was conceived naturally, we both were surprised when we learned I was expecting- just with the second one we seemed to have tons of issues because of my endo.

Cookinggirl- Congrats on your double trouble :) LOL - hope your pregnancy is a breeze :)
