Hello ladies...some personals first

rosarios- congrats on your 7 embies, and I am glad you did not have ohss, I have heard it is miserable, hope you are feeling better and now that you are doing a 5day transfer, your body will have a couple more days to recoup

julie- I think it is a good sign for a bday defrost! How many frosties do you have? I have four and they we will be thawing 2, but if both don't make the thaw, they said they would thaw the other 2 and I might end up transferring 3...eeek.

I created a section on THE LIST for us FET'ers per your advice. There are a bunch of us and I know how wonderful it is after waiting for so long to finally see yourself moving on these lists. So for all the FET'ers, when you start your estrogen let me know, and I will bump you up, I guess starting estrogen is kinda like stimming.

tanya- glad to hear af arrived. make sure you let us know after your appt on thursday

sarah- glad baseline went well and you are so close now. And good think teaching is over the 10th...where are you from again? That is so early, our schools don't get done until around the 24th, but I bet we start a lot later and have a bunch more snow days to make up.

angie- the family stuff stinks big time. I don;t think things will ever be the same. It is so hard to look at all the pictures I have all around of my grandma and aunt, just knowing what has happened. But if it is any consolation, me and my immediate family(mom and siblings) are much closer and have sort of bonded over the mess. I think it just makes us all realize how important we are to each other and how much we love each other. It is just so sad that things have been blown so far out of proportion with the others.

prayin- how did appt go? Do you start lupron tonight? What is the rest of your schedule?

Carolyn- are you on estrogen now? I will move you on the list...your transfer is coming soon too right??

AFM- Clinic called this morning, they got my biopsy back and said everything is perfectly fine with my endometrian. I made an appt for tomorrow to repeat the office hyst (camera thingy). I guess RE just wants to look again, and although I feel it is unneccessary and quite uncomfortable, I will do it and just get it over with so he can rule everything out. I took my last bcp last night, I am still on lupron and will go for u/s and bw on june 4 which is when I am supposed to decrease the lupron and start estrogen pills. Looks like I am still on track for June 24 transfer.

I am starting to destress and try and take care of myself too. With the BFN and all the family crap, I have been so stressed I have not been watching my blood pressure or diet at all. So now that things are calming down a bit, and I am done tutoring in about a week and finals are over, thank god, I really want to focus on eating good again and preparing for the transfer. It is costing us so much, I really feel like I have to give those embies the best chance possible.

Ok, I gotta go shower while Ella is still napping. She turned 9 months yesterday and she is almost crawling! Now she wants to be on the go all the time and I have to watch her every second of everyday!

New comer to the board.

Post by Sheri_121 »

Hi everyone, I'm new here but looking for support from you all. Here's my story.

well Yesterday was the end of my 2ww on my first IVF cycle and the test came back negative. It was going so well, Started with 8 follicles, got 3 mature eggs at ER 5/12/09, was told 2 fertilized then on day of ET 5/15/09 I was told we had 3 embrios, the 3rd fertilized alittle late, but all had great ratings & healthy, (2) 8 cells & (1) 7cell went back in. and it didn't take.

I think my DH cried harder than me. I'm 43 and just got married for the 1st time this past October, hoping to start a family, better late than never, at least I thought it was ging to be easy, but you do learn quickly it's never that easy. My Dr. is going to do a team review of file and get back to me in 2 weeks with the next plan for IVF #2, I should start end of June/ early July.

Sheri,
So sorry about your bad news. Is this a fresh new cycle you'll be starting? Welcome to the board!
Rosario,
How are you feeling? Any better? We're all worried about you. Friday is the big day, are you ready? Rest honey. Keeping you in my prayers.
Michele,
Glad to hear things are coming along. Are you a teacher/student? Family bs sucks- I know. My sister is coming in town around et. Added stress I don't really need. Forget about the $$, Poof it's gone- that's a lot of dough we had to shell out- donor & broker fee too. I feel your pain. Love the graphics.
Ladies,
Lupron shots seem to be going pretty well overall. Have baseline tomorrow at 6:30am. I'm not sure what exactly is going on with the donor right now. Still looking at mid June for retrieval/transfer. i think I'm the only one using a donor on this thread. I'm not stimming like the rest of you with your variety of drugs. Been craving sweets & just a little irritable, not bad really. How are you all? Getting excited? Time is just flying for me. Take care & God bless!

Smiles,.

Hey everyone;
Well I started Lupron this morning…10u every morning until I get my period again. The nurse said it I could start in a few days or a few weeks depending on how my body reacts. I am hoping for a few days since I only have 2 weeks of Lupron on hand. I have to go through mail order pharmacy now and it is such a hassle. Before when I was doing IVF I got an over ride to get my meds from the local fertility pharmacy and they filled and delivered same day. But alas my insurance says no more and I must go through mail order from now on if they are going to pay. I guess its not too bad but if I need more Lupron I would rather get it now than when I am close to being out. The shot wasn’t bad (especially compared to the menapur and bravelle shots) and I was expecting some of the side effects I read about like burning or redness but I didn’t get any so that’s a relief. I have to call my RE though because they efaxed my protocol and like a doofus I erased the email! UGH! I have to call them as soon as I start my period again and then I am assuming I will go on estrogen at that point. They did say they were planning on a mid June transfer so I hope I stay on track. Thanks to everyone for their kind thoughts!
A few personals;
Sheri: I am so sorry for you BFN. Hang in there. Maybe your RE will have another plan for your next IVF.
Rosarios: Glad to hear you don’t have OHSS. I had it after my last IVF and it really is awful. Good luck on your transfer.
CT Michelle; Thanks for making that FET section. I cant wait to move up the list!
Tanya; Congrats on AF showing up. I never thought I would be so excited about AF until I started doing IVF!
EYCI; Awesome news about your lining…good luck!

I am off to finish up dinner so those I missed you are all in my thoughts~

sabi- I am a teacher and a student. I am an elementary school teacher, but I took this year off because I had Ella at the end of the summer and my position last year was temporary anyway. I figured I would go back in January, or even next year, but I don't think I am ready yet. I want to try for baby number 2 and enjoy as much time as I can with Ella. If we can afford it, I might stay out until she is in preschool. But I am currently tutoring after school twice a week for awesome money, and it ends in a week. I also just finished my semester. I have now fulfilled all of my requirements (besides for the state test) to also be a middle school math teacher and I am 3 courses away from my masters in elementary education.

Aloha all =)

I popped in a a week or so ago and I'm popping back now =)

Got a box of meds last week . . . kinda hit me hard that my IVF will be starting soon!

I had my first acupuncture treatment today . . . very relaxing! will continue through my stims and through implantation . . .

I have my baseline ultrasound June 1 and start my shots June 6. Doc says my follices are a tad on the low side, so she's giving me a more aggressive dose of stims . . . Follistim and Menopur, I believe . . .

I can't believe this exciting journey is about to begin!
My goal is to visit this board more frequently . . . It's so supportive and full of information!

Rosario—Congratulations on your 7 embies. Are you any less boated now that you had your ER? I am only on day 4 of sims and am pretty bloated and soar.

Tanya—Glad AF came. It is crazy that after all this time wishes AF won’t come, now everyone is waiting for AF. My cycle is like clockwork and I was so worried that when I wanted it to come it would be late, luckily she didn’t fail me.

Julie—Birthday thawing definitely is a good sign!

Michelle—Good news on your endometrian. Hope all goes well tomorrow, the doctor appointments seem endless. Good luck on trying to de-stress, I feel like I am on a constant roller coaster of emotions. I looked at the pictures of Ella, she is just beautiful.

AFM—I have been on sims for 4 days now. I started off like a champ; the first injections were easy with no bruising. Next day one small bruise, and day three I must have hit a blood vessel(huge bruise). My tummy is very swollen, and my right ovary hurts a little. I saw the doctor today, she had a very perplex look on her face during the u/s. My lining is 6 and there are between 5 & 10 follicles. She ordered a blood test to determine my estrogen levels, stating that she may change my sim dose . My estrogen was 518, which she said is good, so I will stay on the same dose of sims. I start the ganirelix injection in the morning and go in for another u/s on Friday. So I am a little confused, not sure if things are going good, bad or normal.

Sheri, Sorry to hear about your rough road. Hang in there. Your BFP will come, eventually. There are plenty of other women on this board waiting for their first baby too.

Julie, Our situations are pretty similar looking at your signature. Our sons are pretty close in age and we both went back for baby #2 this spring only to get our first BFN. Michele is in a similar situation too. It's nice to have a few ladies in similar boats on this thread! You're about a week ahead of me. It's nice to be actually rolling now.

Michele, I'm from MN, so I hear you on snow days, but luckily we've passed law here (I believe) that we don't have to make up snow days unless our district says we have to, and we don't! My district actually gets out about a week after most districts in the state. So, I'm bumming! We start the day after Labor Day each year so I don't know if that's earlier or later than you out East. This is my 9th year teaching, and I don't think I've ever been more anxious for the year to end. I know all this IVF junk has something to do with it!!

Tanya, glad to hear AF showed up. I was waiting and waiting this time too. How did your "education" appt go? It's nice to actually be doing something!

Rosario
, How are you doing? Feeling any better?? Watching those symptoms? I'm definitely worried about you even if the doctors aren't! I've been there and most of these REs are MEN so they don't know the pain!!! So speak up if you need to!! :D

Carolyn
, I think we're scheduled for our FETs on the same day! I started my "stimming" yesterday--Estrace. Have you??

prayin4BFP
, Yeah, you've started Lupron!

sabi, I'm really intrigued by the whole donor cycle, so I'm anxious to hear how it goes for you. I take it this is your first donor cycle? How many other cycles did you do? (It's so hard to keep track of everyone!)

deftonesmo, congrats on finally starting everything. Glad to hear the acupuncture is relaxing you. I haven't ever tried it. Is this your first cycle??

AFM, Day two of Estrace...things are going fine. Nothing much to report. My household is finally healthy. We all had the Rotavirus (husband first, son next, then me). We just finished cleaning and disinfecting the house. SO NASTY! I hope to stay healthy through the rest of this cycle and through the summer!!!

Baby dust to all,

Hello Ladies,

Well, my education apt went well! I should be going in for ER the week of June 22nd. They are not putting me on Lupron this round, becuase i produced so many eggs the last round, but 90% of them did not make it because they were not mature enough.

Here is what they are doing, on 6/9, i go in for my BL Ultrasound and Blood work. On 6/11, I start 150 units of Follistim in the AM and 200 units of Follistim in the evening as well as Luveris. As of 6/16 i wil need to take Antagon (Ganirelx) until they "trigger" me for the Ovidrel.

Starting on the 14th is when i go in for ultrasounds and bloodwork ever other day until the ER.

Nicole - i never thought i would be so happy that AF came. I am normally not late, but this time i was 2 days. probably cuz i was so stressed about getting it on time.

Julie - Keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes as planned (which i know they will!!)

Have a good night ladies!

Good morning everyone!

Carolyn- I moved you up on the list...wow june 11th is coming fast!

tanya- glad the education class went well. Every fresh cycle I have done has been an antagon cycle. My clinic uses menopur and follistim and then I start ganerelix halfway through and I have triggered with ovidrel once. It worked for me once and the other time I still stimmed well.

sarah- hope these last days of school go by fast and i am glad your household is feeling better now.

deftonesmo- wow, you are stating your stims soon, must be exciting. Like I said, I did those same meds both times and stimmed well.

afm- went to ER yesterday for hysterocopy. besides for the office getting my in over a half an hour past my appt time and me being late to turtoring, everything was fine. Biopsy last week was normal and hystercopy was fine. Now just u/s and bw the 4th and the 18th and transfer the 24th.

So everything is good on the ivf front, but family is still a mess. And on top of everything that happened last week, now my grandma is in the hospital. Something with her blood being thin or her bleeding inside...she has been there for 2 days now, was taken by ambulance because she almost passed out. And my mom has flu (might be the swine, she went to NY this past weekend) so I can't see her for a long while, and I have developed this god awful neck pain. I almost went to the emergency room myself yesterday. It came on sudden, not from sleeping or anything I did that might have injured it, but it might be from holding ella a lot on the same side as she is getting heavier. Ph, it is so bad, I almost can't even sleep at night, but no dr's available this week, so I either rough it out or go to the hospital. So far, I am making it with drugs and heating pads, but I really hop[e it goes away this weekend.

ok, I will catch up again soon and keep updating our list, remember, if you need something changed or added, just shout me out and I will do it.

Hey Everyone - I am still on vacation and pretty much taking a break from the boards. Just wanted to chime in and wish Rosario the best of luck with your transfer. I have my fingers crossed for you.

I will be heading back home tomorrow. We decided to stay an extra day which is nice. AF should be here next week and then I start the estrogen priming part of my cycle. YEAH!!! I love drugs.

Hope everyone has a good weekend and I will catch up more once I get back. It has been really nice to have a week away without really thinking of IVF.

My FET is being pushed back  . I guess my estrogen level was high. So now my new date for my FET is June 26. Now I have another month to wait. I am so frustrated. I just thought I would do a quick post - I have so many people I want to talk to but I'll get all my questions out tomorrow. Sorry I haven't posted in a while.

Hugs and prayers to everyone!

Sorry I have been MIA... I will make just a brief update and hopefully later go on to go into details about my transfer. I am proud to say I am officially PUPO. We transferred 3 beautiful blasts with one hatching and another starting to. I took an HPT yesterday afternoon which still was positive. I will test again Monday just to make sure trigger is gone... I am a POAS queen. Beta is scheduled for June 8th which will make me 15dpo.
