Hi girls,

dogzrule : 14 eggs!! I am sooo egg jealous ha ha i usually end up with around 7, fingers crossed on good fertilization rate, when do you think is transfer?

Babiesgalore: your eggs are cooking nice and slowly so hopefully that means better quality!

Miyaya you shouldnt have had to do all the running around you dont need any more stress added to you, try relax now.

Kaie99 OMG the cost of your meds!! I am in shock how much ye pay i should count my lucky stars that mine is so little though in comparison as this is my 6th attempt its starting to add up now.... but it will be worth every penny.

geckogirl i was never on lupron but keep well hydrated to keep those headaches at bay.

Teachertam how is your cycle going??

lw918 hi, is this your 1st cycle??

ugh- I am so aggravated with ivf right now. I called the clinic yesterday hoping to find out some dates and about my protocol. I got a message back on my cell phone saying that yes, I am gearing up and on the list for september 21...SEPTEMBER! I was upset and called them back. I asked why september and not august, especially considering I have already paid. They said the embryologist is only there once a month and that will be aug 17, and I still have 2 wks of bcp's, atleast 2 wks of lupron and 2 wks of estrace, which would bring me to the week after aug 17. I begged her, please, is there anyway we can speed up and try for august? She claimed rushing into lupron could cause another cyst and my e2 to rise, causing an even further delay again, but promised me should would ask RE at their meeting today. I just can't deal with all the waiting again. I really hope I get good news and that I can go in august...

CT_Michelle you poor divil you must be so frustrated with all the delays, you would think they would have an embryologist there more often! You are paying enough money as it is and they already know of your delays, i really hope they can fit you in, Ella needs a playmate!!! xxx

Teachertam- I feel your pain, in Vermont they don't pay for a cent either. It's killing me! Hang in there.

Cressicaw- Yes, I found out today that we are going to be doing ICSI too. I feel more positive about the procedure, do you? Is this your first time?

Kayce- I just came to NYC yesterday to begin the process. And you?
I start my stims tonight.

Again....I am having trouble navigating to find the place where all of the acronyms are...any help? Thanks!

I am thinking very positive thoughts today and I hope I can pass on the vibes to all you :D !

Hi everyone!

OK so I started baby aspirin today - I'm at the very beginning of the schedule, but at least I've started...finally!

dogz - Congrats 14 eggies!!! waiting to hear how many fert!

babies - I know, its crazy, the med dosage - I'm scheduled for 8 vials a day + lupron too :?

cheekyone - fingers crossed for your ER tomorrow!! :D

gecko - I didnt get them last time but I keep hearing that headaches are common with lupron :(

gi -That was only a half order - keep in mind that I had alot leftover from the month before! craziness!

michele - I am so hoping that your RE will let you go in august. I find it ridiculous that they only have an embryologist so infrequently! plus your clinic sounds a bit like mine in regards to telling you to stay calm throughout this process - then they get you all worked up!

sunny - at the bottom of the page is "select a forum" choose General - at the top of the page it says "sticky" so it stays at the top choose abbreviations ( think its 3rd from top) I have to ask if you live in VT why are you cycling in NYC ?

HUGS & PMA!!!

Michelle I hope you get good news. Waiting is so difficult. I waited almost a year from finding out that we would require IVF and actually beginning the proccess.

Yes, this is my first cycle. Guess I never gave a history!
I have a 7 year old daughter than I had at a very young age
My husband and I were married in november of 2003 and started TTC right away. As we neared the 5 year mark last fall I decided it was time to investigate what was going on! I had all of the routine female tests and recieved all positive results. My husband went for his test (like pulling teeth!). his results were not promising :( His total count was less than 2 million, only 16% had proper morphology and only 4% of the 16% of the 2 million were even moving! We met with a proper expert after that (last december) for our first consult. We scheduled the IVF with them then- waiting until I was finished with school and we returned from a vacation.
I think I stated earlier about my meds, but I started lupron 6/29 and follistem/menopur on 7/10. Go for another u/s tomorrow to try to get a better idea of which day the ER will be on.

We are facing a major delima right now. We are not comfortable fertilizing all eggs because we do not want to end up with any more embryos than we feel comfortable using eventually (for personal reasons). However, as you all are well aware, you never know how it's going to work out! We could fertilize just a certain number and end up with all or none! and that's scary :( We were going to fertilize the eggs so the process would be easier if it didn't work out, but the dr. called today and said we need to meet tomorrow to discuss that because it's basically not worth the time as low as the success rate is. Such a difficult position to be in!

Hey guys - still lurking around here...waiting for the kids to go home. I did get out of the one vacation and had a nice time with my friends in the evenings while they were gone, so that was good. I have another friend here who just did an FET and their beta is tomorrow, so I am hoping that goes well for them. They have one son from IVF previously, but this is their last try for a brother or sister.

Michele - really sorry to hear you are pushed to September. That's about when mine will be (I think), since I won't start the BCP's until the second week of August, so maybe we are just meant to cycle together again. I know how frustrating it is to get pushed back at the last minute. I was so aggrivated when I realized I had to make that call myself. The youngest kid had a huge "I hate you" then slam the door fight with DH last night, so I know it was right to wait. I'm afraid that when I finally call with my period, I'll find out that because of their schedule I'll end up pushed to October. Eeek.
Me - 30, Perfect
DH - 47, Failed VR 2007, 3 kids

1st IVF- May 09 - BFP - Chemical :(
2 Frosties Remaining
2nd IVF- Oct 09 - BFP! :) Beta #s - 567, 1302, 3016

Just got the call! We have 8 embies! And they look so good they are scheduling the ET for 5 days (7/20). Wootwoot!!!!! Grow strong embies, GROW! Beta will be 7/30.

Michele - I'm so sorry about your frustration. The same thing happened to me on the lupron: big fat cyst and e2 at 120. I hope the timing works out just as you wish!

geckogirl - I got the WORST migraines my 1st couple of days on lupron. It is definitely the meds, but it won't last. Hang in there hon!

lw - grow follies grow!

babiesgalore - your ER date will be here before you know it! Those follies are growing yay!

miyaya - Sorry to hear about your frustrating experience this time around! I hope it all gets cleared up and goes smoothly.

Still doing the AF dance for those of you waiting!!!

pammie - WELCOME!!! There is a list of abbreviations. Go to the forum index, click on General Forum, and you'll see the post for abbreviations towards the top. You have definitely come to the right place for support, and we are so glad you are here. Where are you in this cycle? Just starting, part-way through? I'm not sure what pro-stab means. And I SO hear you about the glass of wine thing!!!!

Dogzrule: Great news on your 8 embies!

Gi: Thanks for asking about me. I had my ultrasound yesterday and I had already ovulated. I still had 3 follies (2 - 15mm and 1 - 12 mm) but
my progesterone showed that I had already ovulated. Therefore we will not do IUI, just tried to accomplish it the "old fashioned way".

Take care all,
Tammy
