Teresa - My husband sent a follow-up e-mail saying he's sure they are busy right now with storm preparations but he hopes to hear from them soon to set up an interview. The guy wrote back and just said "Thanks - we'll be in touch." I'm trying to figure out if that's good news or the kiss of death. Is "we'll be in touch" like "don't call us, we'll call you"?? I keep reminding myself they are the ones who called him like 20 minutes after getting his application... WHY did that afternoon have to be the ONE DAY my husband was home alone with 3 kids?! I just hate his job now, he usually leaves home at 3 in the afternoon and gets home at 3:30 in the morning with at least 45 minutes of driving on each end. :(

Wondercat- UGH! :( That is a really long shift if you count drive time. Plus I'm sure you guys dont see much of each other since you're probably at work when he leaves and sleeping when he gets home. It could be that they are busy with hurricane preps and arent really setting up interviews until after it passes. Since they called him I'm sure they really need someone and will get in touch with your DH after things settle back down. Hang in there!

Thanks for the comforting words, yes we don't see each other that often unless he has a day shift...

Oh, right. Earl. Yeah, some people are freaking out and others are acting like it's no big deal. I'm somewhere in the middle. I don't really think we're going to get hit that badly where I am on the Cape, but I have a lot of really big trees around my house that make me nervous in high winds. Some of them - especially this really big, old, half-dead-looking oak across the street in my neighbors front yard that took some bad damage over the winter - could really f*** up our house. This particular tree is poised to crush my son's bedroom, so we will be setting up camp tonight with a pull-out Ikea couch and pack-n-play in the downstairs den/laundry area of our raised ranch. Probably a needless precaution, but a pretty easy one to take and I figure better safe than sorry.

Franny- I had an SnS this morning but I'm still waiting (go figure) for them to call me back and let me know my E2, follie count and if we are chaning anything up. RE still seems pretty happy. He said my right has produced a lot but my left not as much. He said as long as the left stays that way that we should be on schedule for a TUES. ER. He's worried still worried that I might develope OHSS, but I didnt last cycle so hopefully everything will be ok. I bet you will see something on Sunday since they are loading you up with the stims this time. Are you feeling any twinges?

Franny, I will only be on the BCP for 2 weeks. I start lupron on the 17th! May I ask what SnS means? I'm usually pretty good at figuring out the abbreviations but that one has be stumped.

BLang4d, Congrats! on starting BCP. How exciting. I'm glad you asked what SnS stands for. Like you, I've been able to figure everything else out but I can't get that one. I'll be watching for replies. :-)

Tammy, So very excited for you. How wonderful to read that great news.

Krys, Hoping your numbers go up like they should.

Rio, I'm so very sorry your in-laws won't help. It must be beyond frustrating especially considering how they are so quickly to blow money on things of no eternal value. I'm sorry you are dealing with that.

Me 39 "normal"
Dh 49 problem with tubes so no sperm "gets out" (basically like a vasectomy)

currently in 1st IVF -- BCP until 10/3, currently on Lupron. Suppression check 10/8. Start stims 10/9.

haha sorry guys!
SnS means Stick-n-Stir...and stick-n-stir means bloodwork and ultrasound! haha there was a woman on these boards about a year ago who came up with the saying, and it always made me laugh so i've always used it from then on...somehow it got shortened into SnS along the way.
i think ive been on these boards way too long!

Ok ladies...I feel so behind because I am back at work!!! My job is cutting into my IVF girl time. This isn't going to work for me! Bear with me as I catch up!

Karin...That's great news about your follicles, but glad you are at peace with your donor decision!

Wondercat...Many prayers for your DH and the job! My DH just landed his dream job a month ago and he is a cmopletely different person!

Nancy...Doing the AF dance for yoU!

Franny...I am do excited that you are stimming!!! You are right=-the 6th was MUST be the one! I can't wait to hear whats going on in there Sunday! BTW...you can come to Chicago to try your new shoes...it's actually COOL here today! I love this weather!

Teresa...Thanks for the crossed fingers! I'm glad to hear you're moving along nicely!

Annashope...That's awesome that you are moving along! Good for you for being there for your sister even when it is painful for you. And I think October is going to a great month for this WHOLE board!!!

Victoria...Good luck with ER tomorrow!

Klinger...Every small step toward your baby is great news! Lots of updates...but I'll list it below in the "AFM" section :)

Lauren1171...You are one brave girl for letting all those people in on your D&C!!!

Chili...Welcome to the fall! Glad you joined us!

Amanda...I know road blocks are no fun, but you are YOUNG! I hope you had a great birthday!

Tiger...At least it's finally September! I hope you are staying out of crazy town! I have seen Wicked 4 times and absolutely LOVED it! Have a great time at the cabin!

Krys...I'm sorry that your beta isn't what you wanted to hear...but remain positive!

Rio...I'm sorry about the in laws. So frustrating!

BLang...Yay for BCP!!! I'm glad you asked about SnS as well! I figured it was US and BW but couldn't figure out what it stood for!!

Tammy...Yay for trigger! You will be 1 day ahead of me! I trigger tomorrow :)

OK, I know my personals were short, but I am starting my first school year ever without caffiene and it isn't pretty :) I usually take Excedrin in the morning with Dr. Peppe for the first few days back to work, so I am dragging!

AFM.....I TRIGGER TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ER is set for Monday morning and I have somewhere around 24 follies! No wonder I feel so fat! My E2 went from 830, to 1,014, to 960 and then back up to 1,400...GEEZ! RE says all looks good and as long as I still feel good after ER I will have my ET on Thursday! I never thought I would be saying these words (Yes, I'm saying them out loud as I type!!! :D ). I'm still a little bit in a state of shock....but here we go! If I make it to ET I am taking Thursday (obviously) and Friday off from work so I will have 4 days to do NOTHING and let my babies stick! Please continue to pray and/or keep everything crossed that I make it to transfer!!!!!!

Ryann--2 DOZEN FOLLIES!!!! :D :D :D Awesome! It's such a nice surprise to hear that you're going to make it to ET. I will be praying for you!

Teresa--Tuesday ER sounds great! I think that you're going to be just fine! Your RE sounds optimistic bout your follies. You're doing great!

Franny--So funny about the SnS! I didn't know either. I assumed it was ultrasound. How are the stims?

Wondercat--I hope everything is okay with the hurricane. I used to live in Myrlte Beach,SC for about 10 years in my 20's. The threat of hurricanes was so common. Like you, I was always somewhere in the middle. We rode out many and left for a couple. I'm praying that Earl misses you completely! Stay safe!

Chili--YAY for stims!

Rio--Happy Anniversary!

Tammy--Trigger already! Sounds like you have some fantastic looking follies!

Victoria--Good luck on your ER tomorrow!

Krys--I'm praying for good numbers tomorrow!

AFM...My ED's drug test came back clean!!! Yay....she's drug free! Today she's going for genetic testing. The tests will include Cystic Fibrosis, Tay Sacs, Fragile X and Spinal Muscular Dystrophy. Not sure when we will get those results. I also got the ball rolling with the attorney and signed a stack of consent forms...UGH. It was like buying a house. DH and I have to go today for more b/w because it's been a year since our last....sucks. Everything seems to be on track. I haven't gotten an official calendar yet of when stims will start. I will keep you updated.

I hope that everyone has a safe and wonderful weekend!

*Lots of love*

Dvcantu - Good luck with you ER tomorrow! Everything will be fine!

Tammy - I can't believe your ER is already here! This one will be it!!

Ryann - I am glad you have a chance to transfer! I hope all goes well. Keep drinking the Garorade!

Wondercat - How is the storm? I hope it doesn't come up here. DH is working 24, and I do not want any water in the basement. I tried to secure the yard stuff, but I don't think I did a great job. Supposed to be 45 mile per hour winds after midnight.
