Transfer Sept 22nd, provided all goes well the 16th.

I can't wait to get to know all the ladies that have recently joined and learn where all my old friends are at! This is our cycle ladies! I can feel it!!! PMA all the way!

Hi All!

I was hoping to join you ladies here on this thread. My name is Steph and I have been with the IVf roller coaster for 4 years now. After one miracle born in 2009 and numerous heartbreaks we are back after 4 failed adoptions! Although we still may adopt in the future, Re called with three perfect donated embryos, and we are not going to pass up the opportunity! We are scheduled for a transfer of at least two of them on Oct 28th. So for the next eight weeks, I will be waiting and waiting and waiting! I hate waiting! I have spent years waiting and now I just want another baby!... I hope this is a very successful cycle for all of us! Can't wait to get to know you all!

i am in the same boat as you - now waiting for my beta to go down. my number yesterday was about 3500 - so i figure 4 more weeks for it to go down before AF comes and i can start another cycle. WE - how did it work for you?

i'll be doing a long lupron cycle - which after AF is about 2 weeks of bcp, 2 weeks of lupron and 2 weeks to egg retrieval i believe - so all together another 2.5 months till ER. OMG - so long!!! ER mid november!!! i thought about freezing all and doing a frozen transfer later - but i dont think i can wait that long. maybe i'll just take my chances on the fresh transfer. assuming my E2 is not too high. they'll watch the levels and we will decide how to proceed at the time. i guess my DH will have plenty of time on his fertility supplements

Neffi - i think i remember you when i was ttcing #1 in 2009. i just updated my siggie and i feel like a veteral - such a long list of cycles and outcomes. urghhhh. the fight for number 2 really feels like a fight! my DS was relatively easy compared to this attempt. well i am super excited about your embies! i dont know my schedule yet but i think we may be transfering at the same time

oh yeah - one more thing - my doc mentioned the d-word today donor sperm. i said no way - that's not for us. since we already have one, we'll try a few more times and if it doesnt work out we'll just call it a day and get a dog. i've always wanted a dog and my DH will not be able to say no at that point. hopefully i'll have twins and then a dog!!! here is hoping!!!!!

Lyd-I am glad that your little one is feeling better. I am sorry you are on the Beta rollercoaster. With regards to your question about the Beta, I started with a Beta of 1,513 when I had the MC. The Beta initially went down significantly but kind of slowed down at the end. I believe it took a little under a month to get to a negative Beta (less than 5). I can say it is bitter sweet at the end. But once you get there you will be ready. Unfortunately there is nothing that you can do to hurry the process. I wish there would have been something I could do to hurry it up because I think I would have done just about anything to get off of the Beta Rollercoaster. My advice, try not to focus so much on the numbers. I know, easier said than done. It will get down to zero but it may take a little longer than you would like. Focus on taking care of your physical and emotional being and enjoy your little one. You will be at zero very soon. Sending you much love and a great BIG hug.

WeHaveHope - sorry, I guess I should have clarified - I am doing a FET. I am on Estrace and will start POI on the 17th, transfer on the 22nd. They do a Pre-op before hand to make sure the uterus looks good and plump!

Got it. Thanks for te clarification. I will update the board. I have to say, initially I was so hesitant to start the Fall Board. I thought it was going to be very difficult to keep ip with everyone or just difficult period because I had never done anything like this before. And I have to say that I am enjoyin it very much. I sm also finding it to be so therapeutic. Being a nurse I love to help people, it's in my nature and starring this board has just given me the opportunity to help in a different way. I guess you never know what plans God has for you. I will go ahead and update the board later today. Hope your having a wonderful day.

Thanks for the welcome! LYD- yes, I thought your name looked familiar from back in the day! I really thought I was done with this forum...but as I should know already.....plans change. The next eight weeks can not go fast enough! On top of my transfer, my sister is pregnant and about 8 weeks along.....she has had 3 m/c in the last year and I am praying that this is the one for her! She has an u/s today and I just want her to be further along and "out of the woods" if there is a thing like that in pregnancy. My Af should arrive around Sept 12-14 and then BCP start then Lupron I think....

Hey ladies! I just haven't checked in for a couple of days and I wanted to say hello and see how things were going for everyone!

So I think I've decided I'm going to go ahead and try using Dr. Ripps in Pensacola to start with. I talked to a lady in his office today and she was great! She feels really good about getting me in for a consult before 10/3 and she's going to try to squeeze me in the week of 9/12. If that happens then she says I will most likely be good to go for the October cycle of IVF that starts 10/13. The IVF prices range from $8,500-$12,000 with a $750 cryo preservation fee. Then if I have any embryos that get frozen then I can do a FET later for $2,500. They don't do financing there, but she gave me a lot of good ideas. I have looked into taking out a loan through my credit union against the balance of my savings there (that would get me about $4,000 at a 4% rate), taking out a loan against a portion of my Deferred Compensation which is my supplemental retirement plan (that would get me about $3,000 at a 4.25% rate) and many, many other things. Some of those things won't work for me, but I found a lending company that will give me an IVF loan with about a 6.5% rate. Anyway, I will find a way to make it work. Do any of you ladies have any suggestions?

I did call and make an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Koulianos, but I can't even get in for a consult until 11/9 and I'm just ready to get this thing started!!!
It sounds like your 12th anniversary was amazingly romantic! I just know that things will work out for you! Do you have any children already?? I've only been married for about 16 months so I guess I'm still a newlywed! I was 29 when I got married though, but I married a youngin....he's only 26! LOL

I am so excited that you set an appointmnet with Dr. Koulianos, who I've been seeing since July! He's the head director of the IVF program...I wanted to tell you my first consultation was originally set for 8/31 and since someone cancelled he was able to move me up on month ago. So it was VERY considerate that they called me back to let me know since AF had came that morning and talking to them put me in such a better mood. I know you would love their staff, but keep me posted on Dr. Ripps and I wish you only the best success! About our forum, not sure about the messaging part on here, put you can always reach me anytime and I'll message you my facebook info if you are on facebook? I like to keep everything related to babystuff on this forum, but it's always nice to make some friends along the way. I am so excited that I found you! Hi ladies,
Hope everyone is doing well. I updated everyone's status on the board so please let me know if I got it right or if I need to make any changes.

AFM-I started my Lupron injections this morning. I received my calendar for our next FET. Things feel like they are really starting to move along now. Although, I am still a little concerned about the fact that I haven't stopped spotting since the MC. I had my AF which was pretty bad bit I though that would be it. However, I have gone from dark brown spotting, to pink spotting, to bright red spotting, then back to brown and back again since then. I've never had a MC so I am quite unfamiliar with what happens afterwards. But my RE does not seem to be too concerned so I guess I should not worry. I also recieced my progesterone in oil injections today. I have to say that I think the Lupron injections are going to be a piece of cake compared to the PIO injections. The projesterone oil looks pretty thick and the needles, of course, are huge in comparison. As a nurse you would think that this would not scare me but it's quite the opposite. But I made the decision to make this change with this cycle and I am sticking to it. Just as a side note, I looked at my signature today and noticed that I am no longer 36. I just turned 37 a few weeks ago but I guess I've been in denial. Its finally time to change it.
