All I can ever say is just keep positive and calm. Although there are no signs to say that it has worked, anything you do experience is a good thing as well. I know, it's a contradiction in itself

You know, with all the talk about symptoms of pregnancy and the fact that it's different for everyone and therefore unreliable to speculate, my real worry is to start feeling symptoms NOT of pregnancy but of my period coming.

I am someone who has always had cramps before and during my period--when I was young it was so bad I had to come home from school often.

And so, since I know this feeling so well, if I start to feel it before May 17, I am going to be really bummed...

I know some have said they felt cramps and were still pregnant, but my particular form of premenstrual cramps I think I will know if I feel them!

Oh why do I have to be 42 already?

Please try and stay calm. My last treatment, which was successful (early m/c) I had terrible pains like my period leading up to the test date and was convinced that it was -ve. I had very sore boobs and these awful cramps.

There really is nothing definite to look out for and that's what makes it harder.

Don't give in - you're still young and there's every chance that this is the one - stay positive.

I got pg once and it felt like AF was really on the way, even had some brown discharge... but it never did so feeling cramps is not necessarily bad. A lot of women have felt cramps and thought it was all over and then it wasn't...

i know it's hard but hang in there and vent all you want - someone will always answer to you! You'll be fine, you'll see!

Emily ... I've got cramps at the moment too. My test date is 20th, so only 3 days behind you. Don't worry - it will pass in a day or so. Think of it as implantation cramping. Lots of PMA !!

Unfortunately, the symptons and feelings for AF and pregnancy are exactly the same. I had no idea in any of my 4 cycles whether it had worked until I did the test at the end of the 2ww - my physical symptons were exactly the same.

You have to try to use the power of positive thought and try to not relate all those pains to AF. We know its hard at this point of the process but you must try to relax - you are not on your own, we will all try to guide you as best as possible.

Ok guys,

I'll try to remain positive...

I'm actually feeling more positive at the moment anyway because I have started feeling in the last half hour slight nausea, as I was feeling the day after the transfer. I'm pleased with nausea because I never have nausea before AF. Plus my San Francisco center's web site (the center that was treating me before I started seeing my French doctor in Paris) says it's normal for symptoms of pregnancy to come and go during the 2ww.

I can't believe the degree to which I am freaking out and I am only at the start of day 4 (it's after midnight in France)!!! I have another week to go!!!

I am blessed to be one of the this month. Everyone is different, I agree. I thought it might comfort you to know that at the beginning of my 2ww I was on the board asking the same thing and also called the dr's office. The cramps went away by day 7. The doctor's office believed it was my ovaries contracting to get back to a normal size after producing 32 eggs. 2-3 days before my Test Date I had ever so slight discoloration and slight cramping. I was sure I was going to have -ve....I was sure I knew my body and it's AF signals. But..... to my shock and delight I got a BFP!

Hang in there and try not to worry (easier said than done I know). I this helps a little.
