Hazel...Congrats on your little boy!!! I love his name!

Emerald...Congrats on your little girl!!! NICU sucks...been there, though not as long as you will be there. I hope and pray that she grows big and strong quickly and that you are all home together soon.

Steph...Sooo scary...sounds like it is about time to meet your little ones soon...so I am going to say Good Luck now...just in case....though I hope they stay put for a little while longer.

Thanks everyone for everything. Heading to go give blood now and then off to a play place with the local mommy's group to let Zach run around and play...anything to pass the time. I will update this afternoon when I get the results. Thanks again.

Hazel - Aw, honey i'm so happy for you & your DH! You must be head over heels in love with little George (well, not so little actually lol) I'm sorry that your labor was so long, but it was all worth it, every minute of of the discomfort, yes? Thank God for epidurals, right? Enjoy being home with your new baby and know that we are all thinking of you - much love and cant wait to see pics when you're more settled in - xoxoxo

Steph - How are you holding up twin mama? I've been thinking about what that nurse said, about you having just a few days left and hoping that the time passes quickly for you. I know you're over being stuck in bed and in the boring hospital! I hope that Ethan & Angelina are looking to make their arrival soon - and without too much hoopla. Even though you're not looking forward to a c section, ( I wouldnt be either) I hope that it is as quick and easy as can be.
we're all thinking of you and those babies, miss you much! - big hugs & kisses mama - xoxoxoxo

Lou - Aw, honey, I've never stopped stalking you! I read the Fall thread almost every day, but I'm just too tired to post alot of times. I've been keeping my eye on you, and Franny, Tammy, and Es, Lauren & Tiger. I think that seeing my ticker was a little painful to Franny, so I try to refrain from posting too often. ( note to self to uncheck ticker box!) I swear that I'm half brain dead lately. Of course I'm wishing you all the baby dust in the world - Hee hee. I've already figured out that your beta (darn it!) will fall right around my EDD - argh! and I know that you feel the same way I do about those darn POAS sticks  - I'll never trust them again. I'm all crossed and ready for your FET - roll on 10/15! Oooh, and I love the new pics you've put up! Miss you lots!

Tammy - I hope that you read my take on the darn POAS sticks (maybe previous page?) I hate how they can just destroy your PMA, and pull you under, they did it to me twice! and were totally wrong both times -grrrr! And they were the FRER ( and at 20 bucks for 2 tests? I expected them to be moore reliable than that!) You've got the right idea, try to keep busy today ( I'm sure Zach makes that easy sometimes  ) and I'll be stalking your posts this afternoon
Wishing you a nice beta number! High enough to make you relax and get out of beta hell - good luck honey - xoxoxo

Gi - My buddy, who isnt getting to sleep well either - sigh. Last night was out of control! Between having to pee maybe 5 times!!! and then acid reflux kicked in around the time I was totally exhausted and kept me up til dawn - It was like a night of nothing but 30-45 minute catnaps - ugh! Ummm, yeah, I guess its like practice for when we really will be walking around sleep deprived - sigh. How funny that your westie didnt care for that wallpaper and took it all down by himself! hahaha - guess he has a flair for design? Is Kayla still having the all night dance parties? Hi to your Mam - xoxo

Angela - Orange, no question. Steph had given me a heads up on that - and really it wasnt too bad, and I'm no fan of sweet drinks either, I did bring water with me to rinse the taste out of my mouth though, but dont forget a book - its really boring to wait the hour for the b/w. I wasnt told to fast, was told to eat normally and I ended up having a rather large piece of quiche w/ bacon & swiss (yum!) about an hour beforehand - I did tell them that and they said it was fine. Oh, walnut sounds like a beautiful color for your nursery! I just love the darker wood tones, we went with espresso, and I love it - but I have heard that it scratches easily - well, kids are destructive anyway when they're toddlers, right?

Babyluv - Tee hee, so Juliette & Amelia are trying to form a syncronized kick line in there? haha you may just have future Rockettes someday. Good Luck with your 2nd GTT, sure you'll pass no problem.

AFM - my appt was fine yesterday, but the OB made me get a flu shot, even though I told her I've never had the flu - or a flu shot in my life. The BP meds are working, my BP since starting the meds have all been within normal limits. So whew! I had to have the GBS (group B strep) swab and she told me that 30% of women test positive for that - it really only means that they'll run antibiotic IV during delivery, so we'll see if I pass that next week when the results come in. While she was down there, she did a quick pelvic exam - and it hurt a bit! It was sort of like there was just no room for her fit - weird, huh? Anyway she said that my cervix is tight and closed, so yay for that. She was pressing so hard though that I was afraid I was going to pee on the poor Dr! Yeah, fun, right? She thinks that all that pelvic pressure is because Savannah is already head down, but she said she's still up high - so does that mean this feeling will get worse when she decides to drop down more? Eeeek! I'm walking like a old woman now - jeez, what will the 9th month feel like? Oh, and my appts are now weekly, so we're getting closer... And ummm, yeah, its just as I thought, my weekly u/s? yeah, well I havent had one now in 3 weeks, so I guess that flew out the window now that they're happy with my BP - ugh :?
Much love & patience to us all - xoxoxo

God is Good!!! 72.2!!!

Long story short...the lab messed up...and the clinic never received my results. A few phone calls later...the girl who waited on me this morning...gave me my number when I begged...and sent the results to the clinic. So I already know...and havent even talked to the nurse yet. lol :D

I know my clinic wants to see anything above 100 today...but honestly, 72.2 is almost double what it was on Monday at 38...so even though I am not out of the woods yet...I'm estatic! Sooo happy to be wrong about everything. lol

Thank you everyone for helping me to pass the time today and for all of your thoughts, words, and prayers! xoxoxo

Tammy-Woo hoo!! Congrats....do you go in again in 2 days or just wait for an u/s???? So exciting and I am wishing you the best!!

Katie-yuck for acid reflux during the night...I can't believe you have 5 weeks left!!! It really seems like yesterday when we all got your email explaining the decision to take the couple's embryos or not....crazy how time flies!!! We are painting Flick's room Silver Sage from Restoration Hardware and if it's a girl then we are going to accent in Lilac and a boy with greens and blues. I think I'm going to buy both beddings and just return whichever gender I don't end up having!! I could order it after but I like to see the finished product right away and don't have patience!!!

Hazel-MAZEL TOV!! (that's what Jewish people say as congrats for a big celebration!!!) I love the name George and I can't wait to see your lil man!!! Get rest and we can't wait to hear the updates of motherhood :D

Angela-before my Glucose test my OBGYN didn't really give me instructions except to stay away from carbs the night before and of course I was a big shot and didn't really watch what I was eating the day before and I failed my 1hour test!!!!! I ended up having to do the 3 hour and the day before I stayed away from carbs and sugar and fasted 12 hours before the test and passed with flying colors! I will tell you the glucose made me feel a little sick (sort of like a hungover feeling) so just be prepared in case your not feeling so good.

Steph-can't wait to hear the latest update!! thinking of you guys...

GI-LOVED the story about your dog taking off the wallpaper! hilarious!!!! Can't wait until you figure out how to finally post a picture...hehe

AFM...we had a guy come look at our room to remove the wallpaper and paint and he wants like $700 bucks so DH and I are going to home depot to try this on our own!!!! I just want it to look good and not worry about the quality of the wall when we remove the wallpaper!!!! I had a small scare last night-a few hours after dinner I realized I hadn't felt Flick move around and I started to get paranoid. I drank juice, layed on my side and still NOTHING. I was having some bad cramping and I was totally working myself up to go the ER when (TMI) I had some gas and after I went to the bathroom I felt 100 times better and cramping went away and Flick started kicking!!! Such a relief and today he/she was moving around so I feel better!!! Took Lincoln to the doggie beach on this 92 degree day and I have the next two days off for Sukkot so I'm feeling good! Going to a workout class tonight for weights and making beef stew for dinner!!!! I will take a new belly shot the next day or so and post

Tammy!!! YAY!!! I was praying for anything in the 70's and there you have it! I am so thrilled for you! I'll keep on praying for more great results. Let us know what your clinic says!

Claudia - wow, $700 for the wallpaper?? Let your DH do it! Yikes.

Katie - Ugh, those cervical checks are getting worse, huh? When they did mine at the hospital a few weeks ago it was so painful! Either it's just harder to get to now or the female doctor was digging for something else! Glad those meds are helping your BP go down. Just 1 1/2 weeks and you will be full term!

AFM - GTT went MUCH better than last time! I made an appointment this time, but didn't need to. There were only two people ahead of me, unlike last time when the system was down and I had to wait forever until a VERY kind woman gave me her spot so I wouldn't pass out! I got slightly dizzy, but not bad like last time.

And, um, weird...had ANOTHER stranger ask if he could have one of my babies!! This has happened a couple of times now. Today it was the guy checking me in at the lab. He was nice, funny, etc, but not sure he was entirely kidding! He said his youngest is 15 and his wife really wants kids but can't have them. Ok, I get that, but... Makes me a bit uncomfortable, especially since he has access to my address and SSN!

Babyluv – thank you so much for the advice. Hopefully, I will have an uneventful experience…

PA_FA – Thank you also for your input. I forgot that you did your test early.

Katie – Thank you also for your input for my test. I am so happy that your appointment went well. Oh yes, those pelvic exams can be quite uncomfortable for us now that we are so far along. I had my last one about 8 weeks ago and I was so very uncomfortable during the test and definitely afterwards. I can’t imagine one at this stage in the game. But, I am sure they will do one soon or later. I am too scheduled to have weekly OB visits also from here on out.

Ronda – It is so good to hear from you. I hope you are doing well.

Tammy – I just had a feeling that your beta would continue to rise. I am so happy for you and your DH and of course Zach!

Claudia – Thank you for your input also. I kind of think the drink will make me sick to my stomach also because I can’t even drink Hawaiian Punch without feeling a little sick! So I plan to take the day off next Friday so I can go directly home afterwards. Yes, I have been having those same symptoms (her not moving) but luckily I still have my Doppler so that eases my mind. Also, I have found that the room in my colon is becoming scarce so gas and digestion has been a nightmare for the last week. Oh, how I love those Tums!

AFM – Well, today one of my biggest fears came true. Babyluv you should enjoy this little story. I came out of an office to find that the person who parked next to me parked so close that I could barely open my door and I had a huge bag to put in the back seat. Luckily the guy was still sitting in his car. So I went up to him and asked him to move over and explained that I am pregnant and can’t fit into my car. He apologized and moved over. So for the rest of the day I took two parking spaces everywhere I went. I know I made a lot of people mad by taking two spaces but I wanted to be able to fit in my car … lol. I hope you ladies are doing well!

Angela...Too funny! lol

Katie...Thanks for helping me through everything and keeping me sane...yes, I read it. xoxo

Claudia...Soo scary! $700 is insane.

Babyluv...That's just weird and would make me really uncomfortable, too. Weirdos!

AFM: I talked them into letting me test again Friday. There is no way...I can wait another week like they wanted me to. lol I ended up calling the after hour service at 6:30pm...who paged the doctor...because no one ever called me! Ugh!

Well...he told me that it almost doubled and that is great. I told him my theory on why it is lower than expected at this point and he completely agreed. He called the nurse (they're there every night till 6:30-7) and she went and found my faxed results and also called me back and said the same thing as the doctor. They are both optimistic.

My theory. I got a positive on an hpt last Thursday...my lines continued to get darker till Saturday...and my odd pregnancy symptoms of insomnia, bloody nose, and drooling while sleeping went away by Sat. I had implantation spotting on Friday and a tiny bit on Saturday...light pink and brown and very little. My lines got lighter on Sunday and Monday...and then darker again on Tuesday. It was also slightly darker Sunday night (1 beta coming down/the other going up)? I didnt test on a hpt today...I didnt have any left...and thought why bother. I believe that 1 baby implanted last week giving me the early positive hpt and it passed away Saturday (the day "I knew" something was different), while another baby was implanting and growing. Crazy, I know...but both the doc and nurse agreed that it is VERY possible. We shall see...holding on to hope for now.

Tammy - We are all holding on to hope for you! I am so happy your numbers are going up. SO reassuring! I like how you analyzd the whole thing so closely. That is exactly how I am. lol I did the sam thing back at the beginning of my pregnancy when they couldn't tell me if it was a SCH or a third baby miscarriage. This was after the twin confirmation and the Army doc wouldn't diagnose the bleeding. I didn't get an answer on what the bleeding was until I went back to my RE. Explaination or not, you are a BFP and growing! Keep up the good work. :)

Angela - Cute story. lol I wonder how many other parking stories we will here the bigger everyone gets. Oh and Babyluv is right. The orange tastes just like orange Fanta. I was able to basically chug that stuff. Being preggers before and knowing what the cola colored one and the clear one tastes like, definately choose the orange!

Babyluv - Funny enough, that happens to me too. Even after finding out that I had left over embies, one of my friends (more of an aquaintence) asked for my frosties. What? Really? Then when she found out that I was having twins, she then asked for one of my babies. Seriously? Not sure what is going through some people's minds, even if they are kidding. So many people say things and are mostly serious until they see your reaction then they say they are just kidding. Isn't that a saying? Even when you are lying, you are 50% telling the truth. I don't know. lol

Claudia - 700 bucks for wallpaper removal? Sounds like a heck of a side job to have. lol I think you and DH doing it yourselves is a good idea. It might be a pain in the tookus, but it will be cheaper and just that more love will go into the room. :) As far as Flick, sometimes these babies get lazy too. lol Maybe your gas bubbles and such were helping him sleep?  You know what I can't stand... getting a contraction while having poo cramps. Talk about uncomfortable! I know, TMI but I thought... since we are sharing. ;)

Katie - I am doing as well as to be expected. I am miserable really. lol It is so hard to get omfy in any position. These babies take up every empty cavity in my belly and are trying to move into spaces that aren't meant for them.... like my ribs. I literally have to push them out of my rib cage so I can breath and hopefully not feel the awkward pain. lol It sounds like I'm complaining doesn't it? Well, I guess I kind of am, but I love these babies, just ready to meet them. The one nurse does predict just a few days but that would mean tonight or tomorrow if she is right. lol I don't think I will pass the 27th though. We shall see... :) As for you and your questions, after the baby drops, yes it does feel worse. Not trying to scare you, hopefully it won't feel too much worse for you. Sorry you aren't getting your promised u/s each visit. Grr!! What is wrong with them and broken promises. Does mentioning it help at all? So close you are on your weekly visits! I should have been on wekly visits but was always pushed out like a regular singleton. Of course before I could get to my last two week check up, I was in here and haven't budged. My OB is no longer my doc now, it's whomever is on call or on duty. :?

Hazel - So happy to see your update here!! I could hardly hold in the excitement but didn't want to take away your thunder at the same time. lol So little George is behaving well and eating up all the love from mummy and daddy? How have your first days home with him been? Have you had many visiters and gifts? I hope you are checking your vouchers, I sent you a few! :) Take it easy new mummy! Remember, if you find you can stand still, sit... if you find you can sit down, lay down... if you find you can lay down, take a nap! That's my advice. ;)

AFM - Nothing new to report after the last bleeding scare. I did however take an awful picture of my belly in my horrific hospital gown. lol I keep asking nurses every day if they can find a tape measurer since I am so curious how big my belly is. It has definately gotten bigger since being here. The top of my belly button sticks out now. Andrew was playing with it the other day. lol So it's just sit and wait and see. Fun fun! Here is my big ole belly pic.

Stephanie – It is great to hear from you and to know that you are doing well. Thank you also for your advice for my glucose test. Hazel...I forgot to mention that George and Zach are date twins....too cool! :D How are things going?

Steph...Such a great belly picture...love it!!! One day at a time...you are beating the odds and your nurse's predictions....Gooo you!!! You're 34 weeks today...Woohooo!!! That is awesome!!

AFM...Katie close your eyes and plug your ears!

I had Bill go out and get more FRER's...I had to see it for myself...and yes the lines are getting darker again!!! It's crazy...when you line them up...you can absolutely see what must have happened. I stand by my theory...though it makes me sad to think that I lost one. Some of my symptoms are coming back again as well. I'm cautiously very optimistic.

I'm so sorry not have been on here doing personals this week, I intend to every day but have been amazed by how time consuming a newborn is, even when there's a ratio of two adults to one baby! I'm hoping things will calm down in a week or so and I may be able to get back on here more regularly. In the meantime, you are all in my thoughts, particularly steph and Katie who are both getting so close now.

Here are a few photos of George, our little miracle...

Take care everyone,
Hazel x
