stay positive....if you're already PG, then it sounds like your damaged tube did okay. right? The baby should be in your uterus by now, so I don't think the tube is a factor? I hope those other mommas are nice enough to return your stuff....check out craigslist too! My SIL had a "surprise" 3rd baby last year. She was stressed about having to tote around another one, but to see her now....it was totally meant to be! She's in heaven...as I'm sure you and DH and Annelise and Bodie will be too!

I am so psyched about my new car! We had two very old cars (because we were too cheap to do car payments  ). But, we were getting concerned about safety. DH found an INCREDIBLE deal on a gently used Lexus SUV (the smaller one). So, we picked it up today! it has all the bells and whistles, so I am getting spoiled already. JUst have to get it checked out by a mechanic tomorrow to make sure everything is aok.

A quick post...

Holy Molly, Kim!! Congratulation!! You must be so surprised like we were. Wow!! Yes, life works out funny. When you are least thinking of pregnancy, you get one. Oh, I am sure everything will be fine! I was also worried because my one tube is blocked and the other has some problems with it. I feared ectopic, but the ultrasound confirmed that it's fine. Like you, I had no idea how long I'd been pregnant since I had a light period. Hope you can get an appt for ultrasound very soon. Wow, I am still very surprised! It's a very good news. Sure, you will be quite busy but you already are! We conceived in Aug and I am due early May so I am assuming you are several months behind me. Congrats!!

How is everyone else? Steph, congratulations!! The babies are so gorgeous!! Brought back memories of my twins being born and at NICU. I hope you are feeling better. You went through a lot in the end!! Oh boy!

Buckeye, your car sounds like a spolier! I hope everything checks out fine at the mechanics.

It's 5:45 am and I am so tired. I like my schedule though because I can get off from work at 1:30 pm. Then I have some time with my babies and time to cook dinner etc... before I go pick up Sean from his daycare. I don't know how a new baby would fit in our busy life but we'll figure it out when the time comes. Wish me luck, I am going to tell my employer about my pregnancy probably next week!

Anyway, just wanted to say hello.

Kim~ The new car sounds great! I always said I didn't need the bells and whistles but then once you have them it's hard to turn back. What did people do before heated seats???Enjoy it!

Thanks girls for the votes of confidence! I am making my appointment this morning to see how far along. Who knows?? I am still bfeeding Bodie but Annelise went solo about a month ago for good. Guess I better ditch teh boy and take a break from it for a while since I will have plenty more in the future! I'll keep you all posted!

Kimi~ Keep us informed on how your boss takes the news! I'm sure it will all work out just fine!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi ladies,
Quick question for you all. How long were your twins in premie, newborn, and 0-3 month clothes? The reason I ask is because I'm worried I'm going to buy too much of one size and not enough of the other. Thanks!!

Carisa~ I think everyones preemies were so different and even full term! Mine were sooooo tiny forever! They wore 0-3 onesies until they were about 9 months old. My little guy is still in 9 month sizes for everything and my daughter is barely fitting 12 mo. We were in preemie and nb for about 5 months here. That was us but I personally wouldn't buy too much of any size because the weather plays a big part as well.
Good luck!

Carisa--I wouldn't buy too much preemie stuff....although it depends on how long you carry your twins. Mine were about 5 1/2 pounds when they were born. They were in preemie stuff for about two weeks or so. They were in newborn for a few weeks, and then they were in 0-3 months stuff. I would just get a handful of preemie things, a handful of newborn things, and a little more 0-3 months. You'll be doing laundry all the time anyway (with burp cloths, spit up on YOUR clothes, etc.), so I just kept washing and wearing the same things those first few weeks. By the time my kids were 3 months old, they were pretty true to size. Now, they are true to size or even a bit bigger! Good luck to you!

Kimi--good luck with your boss...do you plan on returning to work after this baby is born?

Thanks ladies, yes buckeyegal, that's just about what I have, a handful of preemie stuff, a handful of newborn stuff, and a little extra 0-3 month stuff. And kholton, a was trying to think of what the weather will be like and what size they might be. It's a little overwhelming, I guess I'll just wing it. There really is no way to know for sure. Although at the last ulrasound at 24 weeks, they were in the 95 and 100 percentile. I was shocked!!

Ok, to the ladies out there that already had their twins....

What did you do to make your skin not be stretched out anymore. I have never had a belly that is like jelly before and I just hope that it goes back to the shape it was before. I have a lot of weight to lose between the fertility and the pregnancy. It is so weird it is like I hold my stomach in and this chunk of belly just hangs low. Does it go back?????

Steph---sorry to hear about the "twin skin"! A lot of twin mommies have it. Luckily, I didn't---I have my mom's good genetics (and oily skin, I guess) to thank for that! You should notice more difference as time goes on....you just gave birth a few weeks ago, right? It took 9 months to put it on, so give yourself time to take it off. Some people's skin seems to tighten back up, other's don't. Don't worry too much about it right now...you've got little babies to take care of! If it doesn't go away after a year--then you can go get a tummy tuck! I know LOTS of momma's who've done that!

Wow! Lots of catching up to do on here!!!

Kholtan: HOLY COW!!! Congrats!! So happy for you! I actually started to tear up when I read your post! My biggest wish is for us to get preggers naturally for more hopes of only one. But we have 2 frozen that we have to use also. I think here in a few months I will come off BC and just let things go. But I have PCOS so who knows if I will ever get preggers on my own because I have it so bad. You never know though do you!??! I can not wait to hear how far along you are!!! Congrats again!!!

Steph: LOL! Twin skin! I suck in my belly (mind you it has been 3 mo) and yes, there is the skin that hangs down there. My upper stomach is almost back to normal but there is so much fat lower that I can not fit into my regular clothes still. I have only lost 8 lbs of pregnancy too (Gained 19). So I think it varies for each person. I have to keep that in mind as well, 7 months on, 7 months off for me!

Carisa: I agree, it is different for everyone. Mine were born at 31 weeks and were in preemie for a long time...but they were in the NICU a lot of it. They got out of preemies when they hit 6-7 lbs (Newborn was still too big for some reason) They are still in Newborn and they are both 9 lbs 6 oz. Some of the newborn stuff is just now started to get small on them. They are 3 months old (1 month adjusted). So I agree, not too many preemie, some newborn, more 0-3. It really depends on how much they weigh when they are born. I did not buy any preemie until after they were born and I knew they were going to come home in them.

Kim: we bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee (used as well) not too long ago and it has all the bells and whistles as well. It is like heaven compared to my old Honda Civic! lol. However, we have 2 dogs and want more kids and we stupid not to get something bigger. So once my husband is done with school we are going to trade it is for a ....*cough cough* Mini Van or something a little bigger cause we have 2 frozen ready for us plus the dogs to travel with. But, congrats on the new car and I agree, safety is very important with little ones!!

Ok ladies, is there such thing as post-traumatic NICU stay? I know it sounds weird but every time I think of the NICU or see something like it on TV I cry! Like really cry! Then the girls got sick (cold) and I thought they got RSV (not yet anyways!) and I thought of them back in the NICU and just cried and cried. Sheesh! But Mackenzie just has a stuffy nose now. Brooke is still a little sicker so I have to watch her more. Hopefully she gets better soon. She is on Albuterol.

In other news, Mackenzie is totally jaundice free!! She gets to stop that medication! I am going to take a picture of her pouring it down the drain since she has been on it for SO long! Her level was 1.1 today and they said that is within normal limits! Stupid TPN giving that to her!

They are both 9 lbs 6 oz! So they are still gaining about an ounce a day. We are getting their Christmas pics taken next Friday so I am excited! Anywhoo, time to clean the house....I have really let it go!

Well Ladies. . . drum roll please! We are officially 7 weeks pregnant! Just got home today from the OB and that is the guess. Looks like the 1st of July is our due date. Still seems crazy!!!! We are so thrilled to be having just one! ONe. . . I cannot even begin to imagine!!!! Although, now we have officially decided to let our 26 frozen embies go.   I just cannot donate them to science never knowing what they actually do to them and I cannot seem to give them away knowing they are full siblings. There is NO easy choice but with 3 children and the newfound ability to get pg naturally, well. . . .can't win!

Steph~ I just heard about this belly wrap that Brooke Burke sells and I hear it's amazing! It's supose to help your skin go back to normal and help you gain stomach muscles. I was lucky and never had that at all but who knows if I will be that lucky this route. Good luck and go easy on yourself. Your babies are new and it takes time.

Suga~ Sorry to hear about your NICU trauma. I don't know how to help you there but talking about it helps. Your girls are a good size now and it's pretty doubtful they'll end up in teh NICU again unless they were really sick. Just take care of yourself and remember that the NICU was the best place for them at the time and that it's why they are here today. I hope it gets better for you.
Congrats to Mackenzie!!!!

Better run! Lots' to do while the babies sleep and little time!

Kholtan: Wow that is a lot of frozens! We were lucky to get 2. I did not produce eggs easily. (Thus another reason I doubt we will ever get prego on our own). I am THRILLED for you!!! I can not imagine just one either!!! WOOHOO! July baby! At least you do not have to go through the hot summer months.

Kholtan- OMG!! Congratulations! My mother laughed at me when I got my tubes tied during my c-section. She said after all we went thru to get pregnant, surely it wasn't necessary. When I see her at Thanksgiving I am going to tell her about all the ladies here with natural pregancies.

Buckeyegal- Wow a Lexus! What a great early Xmas present.

Jeremy and Nicholas are doing really well. They are running around the house and learning new things every day. I think they have their own language. They chatter a lot to each other but the only thing we can understand MaMa and Da. Everything else is incomprehensible. I guess it makes sense to them!

I hope everyone is doing well and best wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Suga, did your babes get the RSV vaccine? They gave mine the vaccine yesterday because we meet the criteria for it. Did yours?

LauraLou---Hey lady! It's been TOOOO Long since you've popped in! Glad to hear the boys are doing well. My kiddos love to babble to each other too. It's amazing to hear the words they are starting to use consistently! Can you post a pic on the bucket? I haven't seen your fellas in so long!

Kholtan--Congrats! 7 weeks! That's great news! I remember I came on this site when I was about 7 weeks preggers! That must have been a difficult choice with the embies....so many different issues related to that--kind of mind boggling, kwim? I guess, in a way, I'm relieved that I didn't have any frozen embies. I only got 10 eggs out of IVF. Only 4 made it to the transfer day. Of those 4, only 3 were looking good...so we used them all. I'm going to live vicariously through you during this pregnancy! Who knows? Maybe you'll inspire me! BTW--checked out your blog. YOUR KIDDOS ARE TOO FLIPPIN' ADORABLE! They look like little models! Bodie seriously has an eye for the camera! And, I love little Annelise's bows!

Suga--we definitely considered a car with 3 rows of seats....cause we were afraid of not having enough room. But, we still have our minivan (DH uses it for his business--transporting stuff). so, if we have an issue where we need to cart the dog and kids around, we can still do it. I just hope I don't regret not getting a car with 3 rows of seats?
