Rio my sister had a c-sec 4 months ago and I asked her for you and she said by day 9 her incision had almost completely healed so deff no bleeding. I would suggest you call your OB regarding this because I would be concerned if it were me

Thanks annas! I will get an appt with ob on monday, the bleeding stopped but it is sore, i am keeping an eye on it and so is dh.

Bliss check out this website on attachment parenting http://www.askdrsears.com/topics/attachment-parenting
And
If you can check out the articles. http://www.askdrsears.com/topics/attachment-parenting
4ways attachment parenting can lower the risk ofSIDS. I read his book on night time parenting and was sold on sleeping with baby, i looked at co sleepers but due to csec i could not turn that much, i looked at Snuggle nest too. I will try and take pics of our setup. We have a tempurepedic bed so it is firm and not pillow top, i would not recommend co sleeping on your bed if you have a pillowtopp or mattress with depressions, if you do then use a snuggle nest or something so that baby does not sleep on too soft of a surface, i keep any pillows orblankets rolled under me and not around her, i use a waterproof pad and blanket over it, she is always between me and wall or rail and never near dh who sleeps soundly, you will know your level of awareness, the book really helped me get more sleep and ds to get more sleep from an early age. Sorry typing on dhs ipad so weird!

Hope to post pics tomorrow!

thanks, Anton. It is my birthday. This is really hard, since usually I *love* my birthday and this year I really don't feel like celebrating. I can't believe I'm 25! No party this year - instead, we spent the day at home doing nothing and are planning to go see a movie tonight (I'll eat a large popcorn and a large diet soda for dinner).

I had a large glass of wine last night. First time in more than three years that I haven't been TTC, IVF cycling, pregnant or breastfeeding. Crazy.

I probably won't be posting so much in the coming months. Part of me wants to TTC as soon as possible, part of me just wants a break from all the craziness and waiting a year after the C-section is a reason to take a break. We'll probably take a few months off and start TTC in 6 months. In the meantime, I guess I'll look for a new job (how depressing...).

Hopefully, I'll be back here with my rainbow baby soon. I think the hardest part of this is having to get pregnant again. TTC is so hard for us, and I hate being pregnant (and super sick). I feel like I've 'put in my time' and I should just have my baby by now. (I've been pregnant for a total of 56 weeks in the last 2 years....)

Leora:

Happy birthday. I know you aren't feeling like celebrating, but I think it is great how you are planning to mark your special day. Enjoy all the popcorn you can eat. You deserve it. And if I were you, I would have enjoyed a big BOTTLE of wine...or three. :D But then again I am not known to be good at moderation when it comes to anything in my life so I am not a good person to listen to when it comes to such things!

You absolutely SHOULD have your baby already after 56 weeks of pregnancy, a lot of time devoted to trying, and a lot of happy moments and tears. I am so very sorry that you don't and that your time with your babies was cut so short.

It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, you have to do what is right for you. But I do think your plan sounds really good. Who cares about how young you are? What you have been through is awful and there is no age where it makes the experience more or less painful. But the good news is that you do have the time to take some time for yourself and your loving husband to make sure you hold tight to each other and begin to heal from your experiences.

And I know that you know this...but your TTC friends are here for you no matter where you are in this journey.

Lots of Love,

Alisa

Leora Happy Birthday and eat all the popcorn you can.. Definitely take some time to heal and when your ready you will know it. How are you healing from the c-section?

Lou- That's an awesome appointment. Looks like she is growing really well.

Anna- So exciting you made it to 37 weeks. I'm so happy for you. Love it when we prove doctors wrong.

Blair- That is so cute that your daughter was moving around like that. Looks like you may have your hands full with her;)

Blissful- Good luck on writing your paper. Do you find being pregnant that it's harder to concentrate on school?

AFM: Nothing new to report here. Heading out in a little while to go to my first baby shower of the year. 3 more to go to after this one (not including my own). I went to 5 last year and it will be 5 again this year. At least this year one of them is mine :)

Leora - Happy BIrthday. Enjoy your night out, popcorn and soda. Do whatever you need to find your peace. As always we are all here praying, cheering and crying with you. You will always be in my prayers. I know your time for your rainbow babies is coming - never stop believing.

Kat - your picture was so cute - what a little sweet baby bump you have!!

Lou - She is growing so well. I am so glad you are having a good pregnancy. Mine are smaller but there are 2!!

Rio - I have not had a c-section but got the same incision with my ectopic. It did not bleed and staples came out at 1 week. The incision was sore for quite awhile - and is some with this pregnancy too. My worry would be infection, which would likely have a fever, redness around the incision or puss like drainage or smell. I am sure you are watching those things as well.

Blissful - Glad you have a good time with seeing all your friends. Good luck on getting that paper going.

Anna - 37 weeks is awesome!!! I am so happy for you - way to go!!

Stephanie - I love the pictures of your little grumpy old man!!! They are both so cute. ANd you really can tell the similarities with the 4d ultrasound and current picture. Hope all is going well and you are finally getting some rest.

Ashley - YAY for no GD!! Gotta love the extra iron. Get lots of fiber. I'm on 2 extra pills and have controlled things with my fiber intake.

Blair - Great news on the anatomy scan - they are so much fun!! I think I had gained more at 19 weeks but I was never sick so I gained in 1st trimester too!! I am up 25# now - hoping to keep it around 35 to 40 by delivery.

AFM - I had my anatomy scan last week. Both twins measure 3 days behind and about a week behind in weight (2lbs8oz) but they both look good and fluid levels are good. I wasn't able to see Dr as he had to leave for a surgery. But I had my blood levels checked and my iron has gone up but it still low - hematocrit is at 29 (was 27 when I started 2 iron pills a day) normal is 37 to 47. Not sure what he will say to that - I got the results at work before he has called. Otherwise I am feeling good, for iron that low you would think I would be very fatigued but not really. Starting to get really bad pressure on my bladder, esp with increased activity or when I sit upright or leaned forward too much. This is normal, Right??

Hope all have a good week!!!

Kat- YES!!! I find it very difficult to concentrate. I swear this paper is taking me twice as long.

AFM: Quick question for you. Those of you that I cycled with may remember that my acupuncturist got pregnant during my second BFN cycle and I was like "WTH???" :-) :-) :-) Well, She and I became very close and unfortunately she gave birth to her beautiful stillborn little girl right at 40 weeks. I just got off the phone with her and just cried with her for about an hour and listened. I want so much to do something for her. Do any of you have recommendations for pregnancy loss support boards? I would recommend this one but she has never had fertility issues. Sorry to add to our fear/sadness, but I just want desperately to help. She is going to an in person support group tomorrow, but I know how much you have all helped me and I want to offer her the same.

Leora - continued prayers for you. I hope you had a good birthday regardless of all that has occurred over the past few weeks/months/years for you. We're all here to lend you a shoulder to lean/cry on, whatever it is that you may need. We all wish for a better outcome for you in the future, and I know you will be a terrific mother someday. Big hugs for you, dear. Take care of yourself.

Rio - Lizzy is absolutely precious! What a sweet face! And I love the pictures of her and your DS. Looks like he'll be one caring and loving big brother.

KJM - You look great! Love the belly shot! I'm guessing my baby is measuring around 2 and half lbs. as well. She was measuring 2 lbs. during my 26w5d visit. Now I'm 28w3d, and over the past couple days, her kicks have gotten a lot more vigorous. She's gaining some strength in there, alright. I'm nervous she's going to be a big baby at birth because both DH and I were pretty big when we were born. Hoping for nothing bigger than a 3rd degree laceration. The smaller, the better, of course. :P But it's okay; I'll take what I get as long as the lil munchkin is healthy!

Bliss - I am so sorry to hear about your acupuncturist. That is just terrible! Was she being closely monitored towards the end of her pregnancy? I can't even imagine reaching 40 weeks and giving birth to a stillborn. How awful. My deepest sympathies for her. Sorry, I do not have any recommendations, but I did do a quick search and found the following message boards: http://forums.ivillage.com/t5/Stillborn ... pbornstill
http://silentgrief.proboards.com/index.cgi
http://forums.fertilitycommunity.com/stillbirth/
Hope she finds the support that she needs during these difficult times.

Kjm- So far Im thinking 13 lbs isn’t too bad. I think 35-40 is a good goal. Im glad both twins looked good and had good fluid levels at your scan. Hoping your iron levels keep going up! Your belly pic is too cute- you look great!!

Kat- Yep at least one of these little girls seems to be very active. Id like to think its because shes getting all her energy out in utero so she can rest peacefully once shes here.

Alisa- I am so sorry to hear about the loss that your acupuncturist is going through. I don’t have any sites to recommend but will keep her in my thoughts. Do they have any idea how or why this happened?

Rio- What a beautiful baby girl!!! Glad we finally got to see pics of little Lizzy. The pics of DS kissing her are adorable! Congrats again.

Leora- Hope that you and David had a good time at the movies and enjoyed your popcorn and coke. I have to say that I agree with everyone and you should have enjoyed much more than 1 glass of wine.

AFM- DH finally got to feel both girls kicking up a storm yesterday. Up until this point they always stopped kicking once he put his hand on my stomach…but luckily they kept kicking yesterday. It was so cute watching his face once he finally felt them moving. Feeling bigger every day but other than that things are going well. We went and registered this weekend, and are pretty much done except for a few outstanding items.
