Meg: Thank you for your words. I hope I didn't offend you...it's just so many people have diff opinions but I think until you are faced with it and the consequences, no one can say for sure say what they would do. I appreciate your support and in no way do I want you to feel like you offended me. I just need to state the facts so people understand the facts and what is involved. It's a lifelong decision and keeping three would mean accepting a life with possibly children that are handicapped. I can honestly say I don't want that life..some people may find that hard to accept, but I'm just being honest. I have always appreciated your emails and don't want you to feel like you offended me. Thanks!!

Hi Girls,

Happy New Year !! Hope you are all doing well and I am hoping that 2007 will be a great year for all of us.

Cinders - I wish you all the very best. Just wanted to let you know that we will be here for you no matter what your deciion is. Another friend whom I met through this site also had to make a difficult decision and finally went for selective reduction and doing fine in her 5th month with twins. Please let me know if you will like to get in touch with her. Her user name is "Chel" and I am in touch with her via email as well.

Suzhan - I hope all is well with your scan and I am praying for you !!

Crash - I can understand your concern with the progestrone isuue. I am also confused and wondering whether I took too much.

I was asked to take 400mg twice a day just after the transfer i.e. 800mg. Have any of you experienced this ? I am wondering whether this was too much and whether this caused the miscarriage.

Eventhough I had a FET cycle, I was asked to take one 400mg prog supps about 4 days before my FET (after my final scan). I read that some girls were asked to only start the prog. after the FET and not before. In my fresh cycle, I was advised to start the prog after EC.

I too feel that the clinics are not very clear and I am wondering whether I had taken an overdose.

Would appreciate your views.

Thanks,
Sita

Cinders, hope you are doing okay, the decision has to be yours and no one elses, we are all in this because we want a baby i do not think it is unjust after everything we go through to want them to be healthy. Whatever decision you make is the right one for you and don't beat yourself up about it. Good luck and i wish you well.

Sita,Re: progesterone, my clinic only started me on 400mg after fresh cycle and not until after transfer, I used 2x400mg after FET but started 2 days before transfer, both at night together. so who knows there is no set standard with the clinics, i will let you know my answers next Wed 10th.

to everyone else hi and hope your all doing well.

Cinders - What I was told was that Drs didn't see a difference (better or worse) after SR with triplets. According to my clinic your body reacts the same even after the SR. Does that make any sense at all? I do not know if that is true as I didn't get too far in a pregnancy. I also don't know if that is just the effects on you or the babies also. I know in my case they are just concerned by my size. I sincerely hope that I didn't sound like I was judging. I am NOT. Ultimately your goals are sincere and important. No one wants unhealthy babies. At the end of the day, it is you and your DH footing the bill for three too! That could not be an easy task. I really hope the best for you and again I apologize if I sounded like I was making a statement...

Amy: Oh no, I didn't think that at all. I was just wondering what you meant because I never heard that before. I read that the baby that is SR, basically absorbs into your body with the result being twins. So, I curious what that meant. Thanks for the info!!!

Mia- good luck with Lupron, I had better results on my second cycle, very little side effects, wishing you the same!
Suzhan- back from scan yet??? I'm still nauseous, thanks for asking. certain smells helping and constant eating helps. I can't sleep throught the night so that might be a big part.
Vicky- did they give you a FET date yet?
Jovigal- no more shots???? Lucky dog, lucky dog!! DR said 3-5 more weeks. DH gets more uset during them then I do now.
Beachbaby- yes I was the one with low HCG and progestrone, they were only able to test progesterone level because I was on suppositories not PIO shots, that's what they said. So far so good with me though, whatever they did has worked to date.
Meg- they all say that wearing your newest and whitest brings AF from hiding! Good Luck!
Sita- Are you going to try again? did they give you a time line?
Cinders- I cannot imagine making that decision, my thoughts and good wishes are with you. Does DR give you a timeline?

I guess US was OK. DR said it was good, but I still feel like we should of seen a HB. DR said fetus measuring 6 weeks 1 day, so that is behind what we had thought and still within reason that a HB wasn't visible yet. DH says I drive him nuts and I need to STOP reading. Saw sack, yolk and pole, and got another great picture for the book.

Jordan22--So sorry. Isn't that just like a double punch in the gut when you think it's positive and then they say oops, sorry you're not. I'm thinking of you!

Noodle: Thanks..I probably will have it in 4 weeks. First they do an early amnio to see if one has genetic problems...so another four weeks to go and then I will meet with a specialist. Don't worry about not seeing heartbeat. At 6 weeks, only 1/3 babies had a very slow h/b and the others didn't have any. At 7 weeks, they all had h/b's over 125, and at 8 weeks, they were all 174bmp. Many times 6 weeks is too early to see h/b. Good luck!!

Jordan: Sorry to hear about your chemical pregancy. That's upsetting...my thoughts are with you.

Jordon - I'm so sorry to hear - what a frustration. I know it's a long shot, but I will keep everything crossed for your 3rd beta tomorrow.

Noodle - Sorry to hear you're having trouble sleeping. Is it nerves? I know sometimes this process can be nerve-wracking **understatement!**. Not to mention the crazy hormones in your system. I know it's cliche, but the warm milk thing helps! I wouldn't be concerned about not hearing a hb yet - 6 wks, 1 day is super early. It's great news that all the 'parts' were in order for 6 weeks. I think the baby needs to be at least 5 mm to have any chance of hearing a heart beat and at the beginning of week 6, I think you're only at 4 mm....so give it another week! I'm sure all will be well, but I know all to well from experience how the week between scans can be stressful! Try to just enjoy the fact that you're pregnant!

I had scan #2 today - heart beat was 176 and baby was measuring 8 wks, 1 day....still 1 day behind but much better than last week when we were 4 days behind. Of course, the good news had to come with something else to worry about. I had a small area where the placenta seemed to have come away from the uterus wall. I haven't had any bleeding, but I did have some light cramps yesterday which the Dr. said could be related. Dr. and all the nurses said it's nothing to worry about, it's pretty common and mine is much smaller than they usually see??? This still doesn't sit too well with me - it sounds like a bad thing! Ugh...why can things just go 'as planned'? Oh well, thanks for letting me rant a bit....

Take care everyone,

- Suzhan
