Sonya - I really like the idea of you posting a blog or even thread here on POAS. Most of us crazy girls are going to suffer from a sever case of "can't remember shit" so we will be asking you the same questions over and over again!!!

Tammy - I am the only picker upper in the house since my DH was in an accident and his back cannot handle picking up our son :( so it is hard for me not to pick him up but last IVF I did way too much and had ectopic, probably unrelated but I want to try and take it easy this time, it will be tough... Let me know how the POAS goes, I think you have a BFP!!!

Margi - that's so exciting! I did acupuncture too, go in again tomorrow! You will have a BFP soon!!!!

Bit of a rant here....

I called my actual RE clinic today. Don't know why... I guess I just wanted to share my good news and elation. They are so nice and comforting when I am there. But if you ask them to give you any kind of personal opinion... might as well be talking to a wall.

I told her my numbers, and she said she would put it in my file. There was no exclaim of happiness or admittance of positive anything. She just said she would put the information in my life. Feeling rather deflated, I said that I was really excited about the numbers, and hoped that they were a great sign that I wouldn't be having yet another (I've had two in a row) blighted ovum.

Then. She told me that the numbers mean NOTHING after four weeks. That's why they ONLY order two betas and then wait until the seven week ultrasound. She said my betas were in NO WAY indicative of a healthy pregnancy and only the ultrasound would determine viability. She said that extra betas only caused women to obsess over their numbers and it was better to just wait. She said that having high betas did not mean I was at less risk for a blighted ovum.

I'm pissed off. She's full of shit and it pisses me off. I've spent $20,000 at that clinic, plus travel and meds. The doctors are some of the best anywhere, and the clinic has huge success rates - but what the hell does she think she's doing? Would it HURT to not be so f*cking politically correct and not give me one iota of hope beyond the 'standard' operating procedures of the clinic?

So.. if I had gotten more betas and they were LOWERING would that mean nothing? If they were rising at an alarming rate that might NOT indicate an ectopic pregnancy? If I called and said my betas were at 0 would they still tell me they mean nothing?

I think she was just doing her job. Offer NO medical advice whatsoever. Stick to office policy. But c'mon... wouldn't it be nice to hear "that sounds positive!" or "that's encouraging!"..... after what we've gone through? It's bad enough they make us wait five weeks for an ultrasound... I've walked down that hallway twice before and had my heart ripped out... THEN had to tell my husband and witness him going through the same pain. Can't they just do a six week ultrasound to make sure there's a yolk sac... a fetal pole... and MAYBE a heartbeat? No... they want to be SURE it's viable so they wait until seven weeks. "No need to do an early ultrasound if you are possibly going to be left with questions..." they say. Ugh.

Anyhow... rant over... am I totally wrong here??

Rio - Congrats on your ET! Sounds like a huge success. Take it easy and let them snuggle in!

AFM - Went for my Trial Transfer and Sonohyst yesterday. RE said everything looked great. I am still on schedule to start Lupron on 11/18....it's getting closer....time is going so slow. I can't even imagine what kind of torture the 2ww is! I go in 12/1 for bw & SnS. I have to start stims somewhere between 12/1 - 12/3 or I am cancelled. 12/3 is the last day anyone can start stims due to the clinic shutting down around christmas. Off to bed for me for some reading before sleepy time! Night Ladies!
For some reason the time leading up to my stims seemed to fly by. I never even thought about it until it was time to actually start the process. Then again, I had to get my business in order so worked the ENTIRE month of September with one day off so I could leave for three weeks and still have a standing shop when I returned. LOL

Good luck with the timing... I hope it all goes perfectly! Enjoy your reading and keep us posted on how things are.

Hiya ladies!!! I've been keeping up with the posts everyday, but being back to work, I don't have a ton of time to post personals... Got a few minutes so here's a few.

Sonya - Awesome numbers girl! I'm so happy for you! We're almost to our u/s!!! I can't wait    Sidenote after reading new post - That nurse sounds like a jerk! I mean, I understand not wanting to give you false hope, but COME ON! You're #s are doubling normally, they are consistent with a normal pregnancy, why not be a human being and have SOMETHING positive or optimistic to say! I completely feel your frustration. Maybe she was having a bad day... Not that that's any kind of excuse. You just stay positive, you have no reason to feel anything besides elated! Then you can WOO HOO all the way down the hall after your awesome u/s next week!!!

KarenS - Wow! Great egg making!!! Let us know as soon as you get that fabulous fert report! :D

Amanda - Have I told you how excited I am for you??? You're gonna be seeing your baby's (babies' ???) h/b (s???) very soon!!!

Lou - Hope all's great with your furbaby. I agree with everyone else, go ahead and do the HSG. :D

Ryann - You're such a great sister! I know everything will be great with the FET, you totally deserve it!!!

Tammy - I'm feeling like you should listen to your body. If you have all these symptoms, especially ones that are specific to you, then it sounds like a BFP to me! :D Can't wait to hear when that line is unmistakable!!!

Rio - Congrats on being PUPO!!!   Relax and enjoy! You'll be POAS soon and seeing that BFP!!!

Margi - So great to hear you're back in the saddle!!! GROW FOLLIES GROW!!! :D :D :D

To everyone I missed, you are all in my thoughts and prayers!!!

Wow! You girls are on an IVF frenzy today! I've learned a lot in the last few pages! I wi
L try to catch up.

Rio.......Congrats on FOUR!!! :D :D :) :) Rest up!

Ryan...... I was thinking the same thing about being PUPO and POAS. I won't be doing a trigger either, so i wouldn't be getting am false positive. Planning a wedding is so fun! So sweet of u to help your sister and it keeps you busy. I'm praying that things go well and u can get on with your FET.

Sonya......You have so much IVF knowledge and we all really appreciate you sharing it with us. I don't blame u for being pissed at the nurse. What a *****! With everything you and all of the women at your clinic have been through, she should be more compassionate. Don't let her ruin moment. Enjoy every mount of it! :D. BTW.....YOU r the POAS Queen! LOVE LOVE LOVE your methods! You know that we are all hanging on to your every word.....can't get enough....just like junkies on crack.

Tammy......you and Sonya make me laugh at your POAS addiction. I laugh because I'm not there yet. Taking the test apart is definitely a reaching moment. You learn something new everyday! Can't wait to see your BFP! :D

Lou.....I hope that Roxy is okay. Sayiing a prayer for her. A friend of mine from Atlanta a few years ago was ttc and did IUI's and 2 IVF's and nothing. They couldn't do anymore because her DH lost his job. He got a new job, but they couldn't
afford it and got pregnant naturally. Ir can happen. Hopefully all that baby dancing will pay off. At least it's a lot more fun! :)

Lauren......r u in crazyrown? Be patient.....

Klinger......how r the you feeling? Feelong like preggo X 2?? :D :D

Sonya - If betas no longer mean anything and it's all about a u/s - why haven't they scheduled an u/s yet? My clinic does them at 5.5 and 6.5 weeks. I think sometimes the clinic nurses don't understand that we aren't just another patient - this is *everything* to us.

This group moves waaaay fast! I try not to obsess too much - so I only check once or twice a day.

I've officially moved from a Nov FET to a Dec FET.... hopefully. Sheesh. I'd better get AF next week and I'd better get a FET this month! I'm so sick of waiting! Day 3 of 5 for my progesterone suppositories, AF had better show her ugly ugly (18mm lining ugly!) face on Sunday or Monday next week!

Tammy- Im really not sure what the cell count was when they Froze, they told me but that was in Aug/Sept and at that time all they had to say is you have 14 eggs to freeze and i thought I was golden, then after 1st fet I came to realize I was totally wrong... :( (I lost 6eggs the first round of fet) When I went for ET the 2nd time they had told me that day they were 6 cell and in the good column, but again I am clueless... When I see my DR she gets into what everything means, thats what she did when I saw her last and I noted everything from the 1st cycle... With this all being said, I am now thinking my 6 cell isnt so good????

Kynlee...I really dont know what to tell you because I dont think that I understand the whole story. I am sure you are just fine...because your doctor told you they were in the good column...so no worries. No stressing! Maybe someone else can help.

Sonya...Sorry about the stupid nurse, that was completely uncalled for. Thanks for all of your poas help...but it was an evap line that I saw yesterday as today there is nothing. I do not have that "I am pregnant feeling" as I always get either. My couple of signs were flukes or my head messing with me. I never got all of my signs and strong either. Yes, it could be too early still this time (every cycle being different)...but for me I ALWAYS have my positive by today. So I know I am out. I will keep testing till Friday morning at 13dpo and call and ask for an early beta that day so I can stop meds. AF should be here by Tuesday, and I'll be back on stims by Wed....my last ER will be approx. Nov 28th.

Good Luck Lauren...I hope your line starts darkening now.

Karian – Good luck with ER today! Let us know how it goes when you can. I know it’s going to go great!

Sonya – UGH, what a ***** that nurse was! I’m sorry you had to deal with someone who couldn’t find it in themselves to be the least bit encouraging. Your betas are looking great and I just know your u/s is going to be a wonderful one. I think the only question will be how many you’ve got cooking in there (I vote for 2.)

Tammy – I’m not counting you out yet. I’m hoping it’s just too early and you’ll get that beautiful BFP very soon.

Rio – YAY for being PUPO x 4!!! Hope you have a couple lazy days planned.

Lauren – Can’t wait to hear your next POAS results! I got really early BFPs and my first + on a FRER was so faint there was no way in hell it was going to show up on a camera, but it was there. Next day, it was dark enough to photograph so hopefully yours will be dark enough today.

Margi – YAY for starting stims yesterday!!! WOO-HOO!! I’m sure it was nothing you did, but if you have the chance to take it easy for the 2ww, it certainly can’t hurt.

Ryann – Wow, you have so much going on!! I hope Friday’s appointment brings you good news so you can get this FET underway!

Gi & Amesy – Thanks for the itchy skin & rash suggestions. It’s so annoying!! I’ll be interested to hear what the dermatologist has to say on Friday, but I think it does have to do with all these hormones.

Kelly – Glad the trial transfer & saline u/s went well yesterday and YAY for being on track for 11.18! My trigger was in my belly but I know quite a few who have done the butt one. As you’ve probably noticed, RE’s do things differently, that’s all. So I wouldn’t worry about one being better than the other.

Baby_blu – How are you feeling with your twinsies?? I’m sure you can’t wait to see them again next week! I can’t wait for my u/s! Hopefully after tomorrow’s beta they’ll tell me my official u/s date & time (so far they had just said “on or around 11.18”).

Kynlee – Hoping those embies are snuggling in nicely!!

zen_scrapper - YAY for starting Lupron today! Hope your first injections go well!

Karin – I’m feeling great (except for the itchy rash)! Anxiously awaiting the u/s next week! ED goes back today right? Hoping her follies are looking great and hope they give you more information this time on her progress.

Leorira – AF better get her ass to your house pronto!! I really hope the progesterone does the trick!

jennieswa - How are you doing? Are you still on tap for your FET tomorrow? Let us know when you can!

I've got to get ready for work so I don't have a ton of time and you guys are all three hours ahead of me..... so there's a lot to catch up on this morning!

Lauren and Tammy - remember that early testing is for entertainment purposes only. You are both too early to know if you have a bfp or not. At this early stage, a slight change in the concentrate of the urine will make a huge difference. At this stage you have perhaps less than 10m/u of hcg in your system..it's gonna take TWO days for that to double. Rest easy, ladies... don't put too much in store with the sticks, and Tammy.... I have 20,000 for a beta and I still don't really 'feel' pregnant.

The only real thing I am experiencing is breast tenderness, especially my nipples -feel like they've been pinched and pulled by a really ignorant lover. Even my clothes brushing against them kind of stings. And when I move or stretch at certain times, I have a definite tightness or pulling sensation around my uterus. The very early signs - lower back pain, extreme mood swings, have pretty much passed for the most part... but then again I am taking some days off, eating properly and making myself go to bed at a decent hour... so that might have a LOT to do with it.

Klinger you have no idea how jealous I am that you already know so much!!! Jealous for me and HAPPY for you!!! You are going into that with so much confidence... I'm really excited for you. How does your DH feel about twins? Is it something you are prepared for? And I guess you know your due date moves up a full month so you'll be a June mommy.

Leoria; Thanks for the support.... My clinic says there are too many 'unanswered questions' with early ultrasounds. Just because there is a yolk sac and fetal pole does not mean a heartbeat will appear. And if the results are somewhat 'abnormal' early on, early ultrasounds just cause 'worry' for the parents when everything might be totally fine. That's their justification. Seven weeks. Nothing before that. I'm not sure they understand that an extra week and a half of building hope/anxiety for us is pretty much as close to emotional torture as you can come to at this point.... ESPECIALLY for those who have had bad news... ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY for those of us who have had bad news twice in a row. Ugh.

I sure hope things happen faster rather than sooner for you!! And yeah... 18mm lining.. be prepared for Noah's flood complete with critters when those gates are opened. I never ever had heavy periods until I started all the cycling and meds... I used do spot for a day, then get average flow (two tampons a day) for a couple of days, and then light for another two days. And strangely enough, my body shuts right off at night - no bleeding, no pad, nothing. Freaky, I always thought.

To anyone I have missed I'm sorry.... you just can't answer every post every time... but know that I'm reading everything and following along even if I don't have anything intelligent to offer!

I'm really excited for you. How does your DH feel about twins? Is it something you are prepared for? And I guess you know your due date moves up a full month so you'll be a June mommy.
Hi Sonya - Well, baby_blu's had a sneak peek at her twinsies, but we're still waiting for that first u/s to know how many we've got cooking in there (should be around the 18th.) Most of our friends/family are guessing twins, but that's solely based on these first two betas and we know that betas can be all over the board. But we'll be happy with whatever we get (though DH and I do feel a little faint at the thought of triplets.) Guess we'll know for sure next week!

Karen: I'm glad you ER went so well... It made me feel better to know that It might not be as bad as I though. I'm having my ER tomorrow and I was thinking I was going to be very sore and in pain after.

Amanda(klinger): Congratulations on your second beta!!!! that's great news!!! Hope your rash is gone!

Rypell1985: Thanks for the reassurance. It made me feel much better after I read your comments. Good luck on the wedding planning!.... That can be so stressful... I'll pray so you can go to you sister's wedding 6 weeks prego!

Lou: I hope you dog recuperates soon from surgery. Hopefully you'll get pregnant the good old fashion way! in response to your question about getting a HSG, the more you know the better chances you have. Take advantage that your insurance deductible is paid and get it done. Good Luck!

Sonya (DandMe): you POAS stories crack me up!.... congrats on your beta. You are our own HPT Wikipedia!... you are definitely a POAS dealer.... Nurses can be so insensitive!

Tammy: I'm sure Zach will understand everything once he is able to play with his sister/brother.

Riogirl: Congrats on being PUPO! I wish you the best!!!!! lots of stickiness! :D

Sorry I missed some.... this is a huge board and it's hard to keep track.

AFM: I'm going for my ER this afternoon. I stayed up late last night hoping to be able to sleep more this morning. I had a big late dinner as suggested by my nurse. She told me to pretend it was the holidays and have a big dinner late at night so I wouldn't be too hungry while I wait for my ER at 2pm.
Thanks to all for your help and support. (((BIG HUGS)))

Quick post as im at school right now. Had my sns this morning. Re says everything looks good & i have a lot of follies. As he was looking at my left ovary, he said like 5 minutes into it "I'm still measuring!" I'm going back for another sns tomorrow, but he said i will be triggering tomorrow & my er will be saturday! I'm ready. These drugs are making me emotional. I was in tears all day yesterday!
I will do personals tonight... I promise!
Lots of love to you beautiful & strong ladies!
