Hi Ladies,

So sorry for the MIA - the board has been busy these past 2 weeks. I live in Virginia and we were hit by an Earthquake and then a Hurricane, so I am just getting power and internet service back. It has been miserable! Anyways, should be back and able to get caught up.

Ester - Congrats!!! That is awesome news. I am so excited for you.

Fruit - You snuck in an IUI, way to go!!! Did you break and POAS yet? Ignore how you feel, no AF is a good sign!

Anton - So good to see you back!!! Are you planning to cycle again soon?

WeHaveHope - How are you?

AFM - I am gearing up for an FET next month, I am hoping for mid October but we will see. I had my HSG last week and my RE also did an endometrial scraping to stimulate growth. I showed him an article that discussed the success of IVF or FET after endometrial biopsies/scrapings and he was willing to try it and said it wouldn't hurt. The HSG looked great, suprisingly my tubes are open!! The main reason we started down the road is that my tubes were blocked after having surgery to try to open them. The other reason we are doing IVF is because we are both carriers of the sickle cell trait and the IVF with PGD allows us to ensure that we do not have children with sickle cell anemia. AF started yesterday and I started my Baby Aspirin and Estradiol today. I go in to see my doc next on the 13th. Hopefully we will be all set.

On another note, my insurance company decided to cover 1/3 of my IVF. So I should be getting a refund check from the IVF center since we paid out of pocket for everything up front :D I am hoping to get it in time to use it to pay for the FET that way we will only pay an additional $1K which would be wonderful.

Anyways, sending well wishes to everyone else as I try to get caught up.

Take Care!

Felicia

Lauren319 - Just wanted to send you a quick hug. I know the evil mother-in-law very well. My ex-husband had one and she made my life miserable. It seems the more evil they are the more they have to say and the more they want to but in. You do whatever you need to to cope. Feel free to vent - you know that we are all here to support you.

So good to hear from you. I was updating the Fall Board today and was thinking about you. Can you believe it, there are 23 ladies gearing up for their Fall miracles on the Fall Board. I can't wait!!! I am so happy to hear that your insurance is going to cover at least a portion of ypur IVF. Every little bit helps. Come and visit us over on the Fall Board once in a while. We miss you. It sound like you have a great plan for you next FET. This is going to be it. Sending you lots of love and a BIG hig.

AFM-just started with the Lupron injections. Still on BCP. My RE wants me on BCP an additional week so I just started the extra week of BCP today. Next appointment is on 9-12 which is for the mandatory u/s and b/w. If everything looks good then I will start on the Estrogen patches. I am still a little concerned that I have not stopes spotting since the MC. It's gone from bright red to pink to dark brown and the back again. My RE says he is not too concerned at this point and that it should stop once I go on the Estrogen patches. But if it continues after that then we will need to talk. This time I decided to change some things so I will being doing PIO instead of the vaginal progesterone. I will be using Lidocain cream to numb mu butt before allowing my DH the nurse to give me the injections. I will be doing my FET on 9-30-11 if all goes as planned and it will be with my RE this time. Woohoo, I am so happy about that and we will be doing the FET on a Friday so I can relax the entire weekend plus I will be taking that following Monday off as well. Lastly, we will be transferring 2 six day frosties and their grading prior yo freezing was good. One 4AB and one 2BB. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying real hard that my babies stay with me for the 9 months this time.

Lauren319- I guess Reprogentics sends everything to my clinic. Reprogentics does not call me, but they do call my clinic. Last time my results were still not in as I was on my way in for the transfer. Finally, 2 hours later my RE called me and gave me the info of 3 inconclusive, 3 affected, 1 to transfer, which they mentioned no grade of, I asked if it was a good one and the embryologist said “yes”. But I feel of there wasn’t a “scare” of nothing to transfer then I wouldn’t know anything until I got to the clinic. I asked the sex of the one being transferred, which the embryologist was excited to tell us. They didn’t give me any more info and I didn’t ask. To be honest it wasn’t until after my BFN that I called and asked if my 1 inconclusive made it to day 6 to be frozen, which it did (unknown sex to me). They never even called me with that info. Which deep down I feel is not affected. If they are doing my biopsy tomorrow won’t my results come in Sunday evening? I feel like they could/should call me then. When do you get your report? How does all this work for you?

Madame - My RE calls me almost every day. I get the fert report Day 2, how many made the biopsy Day 4 and then on the morning of Day 5 they call me and tell me the PGD results and whether the plan is for a Day 5 or Day 6 transfer. On that day I get shown pics of the blasts and which ones are affected, etc. I think when the RE called to ask how I was feeling the next day after transfer I asked them about the freezing. I think you need to just demand more. I think they just know that I'm gonna keep calling and asking until I get my answers. I'm rooting for you, hun. We're gonna do this together. I'm looking to you for hope, so it's gotta go well :)

MadameX - I also do PGD (for sickle cell anemia) with all of my cycles. I uses Genesis Genetics out of Detroit. They send the report to my RE who calls me to discuss and decide what to transfer. Like Lauren319 I hear from my RE almost every day with fert report, number for biopsy, and PGD report. Then he checks on me post transfer and then discusses what made it to freeze. I used a different center for my first IVF and they were not as good with communication. I had to keep calling and asking questions and seek out updates - my RE finally gave me her cellphone number to keep in touch  . My new doc gave me a copy of the PGD report from Genesis which I was so happy for! Hopefully you get an awesome report on Monday!!! Keeping you in my prayers, I know how nerve racking this can be.

Hi everyone! :D

MadameX- I am keeping my fingers crossed for you my friend! :D May you get an awesome report on Monday and everything goes well for the next 9 months! :D ...I can only imagine how hard and stressful the waiting of results must be! I am dreading myself that PGD test and what results might bring but hey! we need to stay positive and hope for the best. :D Don't loose your PMA! My prayers are with you!

Lauren319- My prayers are with you too! :D Hope today feels better and everything from now on goes well for you! :D Take good care of yourself honey! You are the most important person to carry your babies and you NEED to stay calm and make positive thoughts! :D ...I know, always easy to said than done but please try! You deserve to be a mom with healthy babies and YOU WILL BE! I sent you tons of positive vibes and baby dust! Grow follies Grow!!!!

Fvrogers- Hello my friend!!! :D So good to hear from you too!!! :D Looks like you’ve got yourself a success plan there! And the insurance surprise! I would take that as a sign for a successful cycle!! I am happy for you and pray for a BFP for you this time!!! Can’t wait to celebrate with you on that! :D ...can you please tell me more on the endo biopsy you did? Is it a mild kind of D&C? The reason I am asking is that this is what I am planning to do prior to my fall IVF. The plan is to make a D&C or this endo biopsy instead in October and start my ivf cycle in November. Any info is more than welcomed! Good luck with everything honey! :D

Sunshine1579- Reading about raining, storms and hurricanes on this board seems SO SO far away from my place! Well it is but having sunshine with 30 c degrees in my part of the world and no sign of clouds feels like I live in another world not just country! I hope your boutique makes super sales today!! :P By the way, about Levothyroxine the only side effects you will get is FEELING MUCH MUCH BETTER!! In a week’s time of taking the pills I felt like I was sleeping before taking them and I woke up! It can only do you good!! :) I wish you all the best my friend and a BFP at the end of your cycle!! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you! you seem such a great, loving person and judging from the love and attention you give to Bells then there’s no doubt that you will make an excellent mother!!!

Wehavehope- Your FET on the 30th is going to be THE one my friend!! :D I am feeling positive about you this time you are taking home a baby! Or two! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you too! Keep up that PMA of yours!! You are doing a great job!!! This will be IT! You are almost there!! :D

Baby dust to us all!!!!

Happy Saturday Ladies :)

Moorebaby: Congratulations - thats just wonderful! Good luck tomorrow and how are you feeling?

Lauren319: How are you doing today?

Madame X: by everyone else's accounts it seems that your RE and the clinic are really not keeping you in the loop. Did you hear anything today?

Felicity; thats great about the insurance refund!

Afm: I'm writing my second presentation in a week - this one on the less than stimulating 'origins of psychotherapy' - I'm fine on the therapy part - I just hate the philosophy part and the audience this is for are tough! However, I'm sure I'll find a decent dvd or something I can show to break it up. I'm feeling good, looking forward to getting back into some swimming next week, pelvis is good and everything I've read says its fine to swim, even in the beginning of pregnancy. It actually feels surreal even saying that. I think you have a special weekend this weekend don't you in the US? Have a lovely relaxing one :)

Ester - wonderful news, congrats mamma! I am so excited for you and DH after your long journey. Can't wait for the next beta, what wonderful numbers! How many did you transfer?

Lauren319 - I am sorry that these couple of days have been tough, you don't need the extra stress from MIL in your life. I am glad to hear the E2 levels were good and more could pop up. I totally understand how you feeling because I am a poor responder myself on top of having MFI but Lou is right, it only takes one little guy or girl and I am here hoping that this is it for you!

Fvrogers and Lauren319 – You guys obviously have way more communication than I do!!

Ninde—nope haven’t heard anything today, but don’t want to jinks it…. lol…. I guess I will be briefed if and when I get there on Monday morning. Good luck with your presentation!

But see here is another thing; I go to a fertility clinic located in a hospital about an hour and a half from my house for the procedures only. My Re has an office locally where I go for all my b/w and u/s. Which everything is done by my RE’s nurse, unless it is the weekend. I am really no one’s patient where my embryos are and where all the calls are made since my RE lives locally. I wonder if my RE is even kept updated or if Reprogentics and the embryologist just work together keeping in touch. Plus, I don’t think my RE or this clinic has had many PGD patients. Who knows? At this point I have to stay hopeful and hope that phone doesn’t ring….. I can’t worry about the ins and outs. Plus, sometimes I want the updates and sometimes that roller coaster of info might stress me worse. As far as I know and what to believe all 7 embies are growing strong and being tested and if the end result is a transfer with good quality embie/s I will be thrilled. I have to trust they are doing everything in my best interest!
