Hi Beachbaby, glad to see some old faces here!!, yes I am ready to start a new cycle, I want this baby so bad, and I am not too good at waiting. So even though I am sad about what happened the last time, I still want to be able to be a mommy as soon as I can, so let's hope this is the one!!!, when is your FET??

Welcome Steph!, I also have male factor infertility, and had ICSI done for the first time in November, I became pregnant but unfortunately I had a m/c at 7weeks, so that is why I am here now, getting ready for my FET.
Good luck to you and happy you found us!!!

How's everybody doing?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Post by WISCONSINGAL »

HI EVERYONE:

CHARITY: HOW DID THE ACUPUNCTURE GO? I DID MY FIRST ONE DONE TOO, I THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY FUNKY. HE PUT THEM ON MY HEAD, EARS, STOMACH, KNEES, & FEET. HOW ABOUT YOU? I WAS CHARGED $85 FOR THE 1ST TIME, AND THEN $65 PER EVERY SESSION AFTER THAT.

OH, I DIDN'T TELL YOU YET EITHER......WE'RE GOING FOR OUR SECOND ATTEMPT. I'M TAKING THE PROVERA RIGHT NOW, SO I SHOULD START MY NEW CYCLE NEXT WEEK. THE FLARE PROTOCAL IS SCARING ME MORE SO THAN THE 2 IUI'S AND 1ST IVF......WE STILL DON'T KNOW HOW WE'RE GOING TO FORK OUT THE $$$ YET.....YIKES!

SORRY FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO RESPOND TO EVERYONE'S POSTS....BUT I'M PRAYING FOR YOU ALL AND GOD BLESS!

Wow! We're getting busy!! Love it!! I've got to be quick, as I have to finish a project before I can leave tonight (vacation day tomorrow)...But just wanted welcome both our newcomers...Love new faces!! Equally as I love the veterans!! Each of us have such a range of circumstances, backgrounds, lifestyles, reasons for IF, but we all come together to this awesome place and support one another. Thank you all for being here...Okay...Last BCP was Tuesday, so getting a little PMS'y...

Tammy (WIGal)...Have my first acu tomorrow...Little nervous...My rates are $60 for the first & $45 after...Not sure if that's good or bad...Not a lot of people available in my area or covered by insurance, so options are a little slim...Maybe the rates are lower because they are "in-network" and are contracted for that..? Not sure, but hey, gonna give it a shot regardless...I am so excited for you!! A new cycle hon!! And we'll be doing it together!! I can't tell you how happy I am...I just wish we could have our one day of terror together (until the call from the lab). At least we'd have each other, ya know? They'd have to shut the board down for the day cause we'd be taking up too much bandwidth with our tension! Better make sure I schedule an acu appt that day FOR SURE!! So, when you said you're starting after af, do you mean you'll be starting stims right away or going on the BCP for a few weeks first? Have you seen the drugs yet! I took a look at the needles for the one I have to do some mixing with, and they're huge!! Yet, they say subcutenious (under the skin)...The length of those puppies looks like they're going a little deeper than the skin! Probably just can't see it well through all the plastic wrap and safety lids, so it may not be that long in reality, but through the foggy view they are a little scary...Okay...A LOT SCARY! But all for such a good reason, so I could give sh*t less how long they are...We're gonna get our babies...All of us!!

I'll talk more later, but "the man" is holding me down, so gotta get back to the grindstone... Hate being a grown-up sometimes...Having to work sucks!! Later Gators!!

Nerms...Just missed your post...If you right click on any of the pics you like and then go to the properties and copy the "http/www...gif" and then paste it into your own post body...Then, just put the following characters at the beginning and the end, you get the image to show up...

Beginning [img]
End [/img]

I have to put the quotes, otherwise you won't see the characters I'm putting there...You can do this for any picture you see on any website. The only thing is, I think, if the pic gets removed or moved from the original website, then your link will go bad in your "historical" posts...Not a big deal though...Talk to you more later gator...Gotta run before I get caught! SHhhhh...

HI

Post by WISCONSINGAL »

I DIDN'T ORDER THE MEDS YET....I HAVE TO TIME THIS ALL OUT REALLY GOOD THOUGH. THE LAST MEDS WERE $3000.00 BUT THIS TIME WE'RE NOT DOING THE LUPRON I GUESS.....SO INSTEAD OF THE LONG DRAWN OUT VERSION....I GUESS THIS ONE GOES QUICK. I HAVE SOME OF THE PROGESTERONE VILES AND NEEDLES AND THEN SOME ESTROD. PILLS I DIDNT GET TO USE LAST TIME......BUT THE NEEDLES FOR THOSE PUPPIES ARE HUGE......AND I'M NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THEM AT ALL. I DIDN'T MIND DOING THE FOLISTEM SHOTS IN THE STOMACH EVEN THOUGH I WAS BLACK AND BLUE ALL OVER MY TUMMY, THAT SEEMED TO BE THE LEAST OF MY WORRIES. WE HAVE TO HAVE OUR MEDS CONSULTATION NEXT WEEK THOUGH, SO THEN I'LL HAVE A LITTLE BIT BETTER IDEA OF WHAT TO EXPECT WITH THIS "FLARE" PROTOCAL.

HOW'S YOUR PUPPY DOING?

Well...Just got the news that my insurance is maxed out, and dh and I are too, so looks like no cycle for me gals & guy...I'm just devastated right now, so I probably won't be back for a bit, but just wanted you all to know that I'm wishing you all the best. Maybe after talking to dh we'll come up an idea on how to get me covered by his insurance, which is through Illinois that requires infertility coverage, so maybe down the road he can add me, but since they took so long processing the claims, it may be in 2008 before I can be added...The $6K in drugs put me over the top, and they apply that to the infertility cap on my policy...Darn it! You ladies take care, and if anyone wants the roster to carry on with keeping track I'll be happy to email it to whomever would like...Take care again, and love you all...Your babies are waiting...Keep your eye on the end result and it will come...

All my love...

Charity, I'm so sorry. I've been reading your posts and have to say
that your presence will be missed. You have obviously spent a lot of
time helping others on these boards and you deserve to have better luck!
I truly hope that you can work something out with your insurance.
Take the time you need away from the boards but you will be welcomed back whenever you are up to it. Fee

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies. It helps keep me sane (somewhat!!) to know there are other people out there going through the same thing. I had my HSG this afternoon and I must admit that the anticipation was by far the worst part! My RE said that everything looks great except one spot where she couldn't tell if my uterus was dipped a little or if maybe it was a polyp (sp??)

So...now I have to go have a 3-D pelvic ultrasound next Wednesday. Aren't I so high-tech! I was hoping I could start popping those Provera tonight but I guess I'll need to put it off b/c don't think I will be getting an ultrasound with AF in town. I may be a little sneaky and start them this weekend just to get ball rolling. I'm just so anxious...excited...nervous...and the list goes on!

Charity: I'm soooo sorry to hear about your situation. I just joined this board and can tell that you are a big part of what helps everybody through their down days. You will be missed for sure and I hope that you and DH can work something out. Isn't insurance the pits?!?

Well I'm off to make dinner and have a relaxing evening with DH. We are a bit mad b/c we heard today that our favorite teenage drama the OC was canceled!! That was one of my favorite guilty pleasures... how dare they! Do they really expect me to watch grown up shows?? :)

Hope you all have a lovely evening!

Charity,
I don't know how to tell you how sorry I am. I can only tell you that i to would be devastated. I am at a loss... I also don't know how I will survive without you on this board. I can tell you that it won't be the same without our cheerleader around. You have done and said so much that has heped so many of us. I know I am speaking for everyone here.

Please keep us posted on your situation. I am going to my RE tomorrow to see what the next step is. We have not yet gotten our bill for our first round and I have a felling my DH is going to freak when we do. I hope something can be worked out for you. I really do Charity. Please let us know what happens.
