Denise - thank you so much for my birthday wishes!! We were away for the weekend but I saw it when I logged on this morning! The US was the perfect birthday present (just as well as the IVF costs have certainly taken their toll!!)
Pixie, in answer to your question, yes the UK healthcare is as bad as they say it is - certainly in London anyway, not so bad in some places out of London, its fairly hit and miss. The worst is that the government are trying to legislate for ALL IVF (private and NHS, if you can get it) to only out one embryo back. All very well if the NHS funded unlimited IVF but quite frankly if we only have a three goes which we are self funding I'm jolly well going to give it the best shot with 2 embryos.
Back off my soap box now!

I will know more about baby B on Friday 11th when I will be 7wks and 2 days, but the nurse seemed fairly sure that the second one was not going to make it because the heartbeat was so slow and the proportions were all wrong. So I may be moving list next week. Jes good luck for Wednesday, I'll be holding thumbs as they say in South Africa.

SJ, fantastic news, you must be so relieved!

Quita, I am totally wishing my life away, the sooner that 12 weeks can get here the better! I sneezed whilst driving today and had some VERY sharp shooting pains in my lower abdomen - this has kept my worry tanks full for the last 3 hours!

Pixie, just hang in there, having just had one previous mc I am obsessive (every time I go to the loo I expect something to have gone wrong), I can't begin to imagine how you must feel. You must make sure you get an extra scan or two to help put your mind at rest.

I am starting to get some queasiness and have totally gone off all vegetables, I usually eat a pretty balanced diet (well especially since doing the IVF thing) the thought of asparagus, spinach or even peas makes me want to hurl now!! Hope this is only a short phase! Anyone else had this??

Hey ladies!

had my scan today and all ok! The wee warrior embryo is now 17mm and saw its little arms and legs! The uterine haematoma is shrinking slowly. Anyway, they said that it should just resolve but I will continue to bleed a little for a while yet and I have to take it easy and no sex (....). They've discharged me but I can have another scan if I want next week (if I'm worried). Am so relieved! I'm also back at work which is better for my mental health...

tams - I'm the same, can't stand veg, queasy all day and only crave cake. I will be diabetic by month 4 at this rate

Quita - how's the flooring? Nesting.... we're trying to buy a place at the moment, better get skates on or it'll be the nativity for us.

Pixiesmom - Happy Anniversary for tomorrow! How are you celebrating? You are right - it is taking FOREVER. I just want it to be 12 weeks now.

Jesjes, Kia - good luck for scans

hazel welcome

Cookholmes - have you heard from your clinic yet? Oh, my due date is the 18th december

Hope everyone else is doing ok??

Right I'm off to put in a bit of sofa time (the cushions have missed my bottom today) with the Super Star Jump bean.

Take it easy
Love, Lola

Hi all,

Well we had our first scan today and all is well, we had to sac’s but only one heartbeat. I felt sad that there wasn’t 2 there but also so relieved that we saw and heard a heartbeat. DH and I just broke down and sobbed our hearts out. So now I have been released into the lovely world of the NHS!!!!!!

Q- house the decorating coming along, totally know where your coming from with the dust from the flooring, DH layed ours just after xmas, he also sanded back the original floor boards in our dinning room and my god I’m still cleaning up the dust!!! How you feeling, has your midwife been in touch yet?? I don’t see mine until after the 12 week point!

As for work, they don’t know yet, I want to wait until I’m 12 weeks, after that I will reduce my shifts times down to 8hrs, see that’s the lovely NHS for you, they work us to the bone, but don’t look after anyone!!!!

Pixiemom – you are so right about the time, and now after the scan they have put me back by 3 days!! I can’t wait to reach that 12 week point, but even then I don’t think we will stop worrying.
PS Happy anniversary

Jes – how did your scan go?

Love to everyone x

Lola that's fantastic news, keep up the good (relaxing) work! Can't believe how big the warrior is already - go hercules!
Kia, congratulations on your healthy heartbeat and bean!!
Quita, very impressed by your nesting and DIY I can barely get off the sofa!

Glad to hear that other people are also off vegetables. I have had some luck with the seascikness bands today - a decrease in queasiness, but I'm not exactly feeling tip-top. I'm off to see my GP again tomorrow, am hoping she'll take the pregnancy a little more seriously this time and register me - off to the lovely NHS as well! I also have acupuncture tomorrow, I'll let you know whether that eases the queasiness at all.

Pixiesmom - happy anniversary! Jes good luck with your scan, I think you had your second one tomorrow? I'll be thinking of you.

hello everyone!
I had my US today instead of thursday, because I was spotting. The DR said lots of people spot, that I probablly spotted because of the prometreum. Anyways, we are having 1 baby. I was able to see the heartbeat. We are so excited, and in shock!!!

I am glad to see you are all doing well....

Talk to you soon!

Quita, I wish I could be swimming right now because it is about 80 degrees out here, waaay too hot! But our pool looks like a yucky swamp, it is green with weird growths, DH needs to give it some TLC before I will even think about swimming in it. LOL

LolaJones, I am glad to hear it! No I have not heard back from them except this weekend they called in a prescription for me, but I am still calling them everyday in hopes that they get it together soon.

PixiesMom, Happy Anniversary 18 years is wonderful!!!Image

Doddo72, I am sorry to hear about the spotting, but it is great news about the healthy beanie!! Congrats!

:D  :D Ten long weeks and one very long day :D  :D

HELLO EVERYONE.

Is anyone else getting full on growning pains every now and again. I don't know if it is because I am small and I am having twins so a lot of growing is going to be needed to be done. But yesterday it was full on all day and kept me awake last night - very disconserting - but today I feel normal again.

Also my hromones have been really raging the last couple of days feel very emotional and last night couldn't eat much then had any upset stumach an hour later. Felt better after that however.

God I can't wait for week twelve AAAAAHHHH

just 13 days to go.

Seeing midwife next tuesday at home which is rather exciting and I should get my second scan somewhen between 12 and 14 weeks.

Denise 80 degrees Ah sweet can't wait till we go to Zante for some sun!

Doddo Sorry about spotting - but great about baby!!!

Miss Piggy I love accupunture had some today. Heaven!

Tam I think if your doc is still crap tomorrow you should think about registing with another practice I did that recently and new one is so much better. Went with a list of 20 preggie questions yesterday and she sat and answered everyone thourghly and paciently.

MRS B you sound very grown up with your computer name! The flooring is fantastic its looks like ive got all new furniture! Wish I was 11 weeks!

Kia so pleased about your fantasic little bean! I'll be 11 weeks on mid wife visit. Don't let them work you too hard get your gp to sign you off for a week if you you don't want to tell them and if feel you and bean need to rest. Iam so bossy!

Lola Jones are you married to Indiana with that worrior bean must be a girl! Ps we have got a shed you guys could sleep in Christmas eve LOL

Tam tell me about it. scared of my own shadow!

Quita thanks for your advice, luckily my GP was better today, she was going to wait (again) to register me until after the scan on Friday to see how baby B is getting on, but I said that I'd like her to register me anyway. I'd like the hospital to know that this started as a twin pregnancy even if it doesn't continue so that if I have any bleeding etc they know about the second embryo. Anyway, the referral letter has gone off and hopefully I shall be a bona fide pregnant person asap!!

Donna congratulations on your scan, that is fantastic, try not to worry about the spotting - there is one very healthy bean in there!

Miss Piggy I've also found the acupuncture has helped my m/s, I had a session this am and I've just managed my first proper meal for 3 days (I was subsisting on cereal and marmalade sandwiches before)

Denise, so jealous of your heat and swinning pool, its cold and wet again here - very English!

Jes, any news following your scan today? I'm thinking of you.

The nearer I get to the scan on Friday the more I find myself hoping that baby B will make it. Liz (the sonographer) was fairly convinced that despite the heartbeat this wasn't looking good - very slow hb, very small gestational sac etc, etc. But I'm surprised to find myself willing it on even though I know it means a whole year of sleepless nights and double buggies! I guess fate will decide and if it isn't a keeper I guess its better that we find out now rather than later on.

Hi everyone,
We had another peek today. The little ones were like jumping beans moving all over the place. I had breakfast & drank gatorade so, they would be awake & moving. They were moving so much that the tech couldn't get a good pic of baby B, It's blurry. They are really getting cute.

Tams,
I am keeping everything crossed for your baby B on Fri.

Jes, I am anxious to hear about your scan. I hope all goes well for you.

Denise,
It's hot here too. It was 91 yesterday. I wish I had a pool. That's going to be so nice for you this summer. You can go out looking like a whale & no one will see you. I am jealous!

Quita,
Your 10 weeks!!! Yeah!!! almost in your 2nd tri. Way to go!!!

Donna,
Congrats on your healthy baby, remeber that's all that matters.

Hope everyone else is doing well & thanks for all of the well wishes for my Anniversary today. Dh looked at the us pictures & said "the only gift I could want is right here"

Hi all!

Pixiesmom~ Happy Anniversary! I hope you have a great one! btW~ how far along are you that the babies are moving that much already?

I had my 7w 3d scan today and baby B has a heartbeat and grew. So we definately are having twins. HOLY CRAP! I guess I better get on the ball around here and start getting prepared!

My clothes have decided not to fit anymore. Anyone else have this problem already. Doc said with twins you grow faster but I am busting out of things in the front even though I have lost 14lbs so far this pregnancy.

Hope all are well, I am off to nap, I am beat!
Jessica
