Hi to all you wonderful eggheads.
Sorry, I didn’t mean to introduce myself and then disappear again totally. Thanks for asking after me Jen. The past 2 weeks have been so busy with visitors over the weekend, more friends to stay since Monday and a hectic time at work trying to get my work done before my holiday. I’m exhausted and so looking forward to getting away from work and being able to concentrate on just us.
Our friends left yesterday, the first thing I do when I’m home is to turn on my notebook and see the Rebecca’s BFP!
Rebecca – that is simply fantastic news. And maybe it’ll be twins too! If I had more time and was better on the computer I’m sure I could come up with a wonderful flashy glittery message but I hope your fine with these =>

I’m thrilled to bits for you. Not long now til your first scan.
Jen – congrats with the embie quality. Will be thinking about you over the next days… Take good care of yourself xxx
Gill – yeah, ET is so close – wishing you and DH all the very best and that all runs smoothly on your very important mission to Barcelona.
Hi Caroline – I just love your sparkly posts. Thanks for all the reports on the books too. I should have ordered some for my hols. Good luck with all your preparations and hope time goes by fast until your first flying visit to Barcelona.
Happy Birthday, Anna!!!! Hope you had lots of fun on your birthday night out with DH.
JenB – congratulations on starting treatment. So we can both celebrate, I’ve just started on meds too. I knew we’d end up cycling together. Sorry to hear about the course of antibiotics but I think you’re nearly finished, aren’t you? ..and glad the acu is doing you lots of good.
BigJ – Sorry that you’ve been having such a tough time. Hope you are doing Ok and can soon start focussing on your next treatment.
For Caroline, Anna and all those interested in why we chose the clinic in Poland, the main reason was a recommendation from our consultant here in Germany. The Doc who runs the clinic is very hard-working, dedicated and really “fights” for each pregnancy. After reading some reports and getting all our remaining questions answered at the first visit, we’re even more confident about our choice. The clinic has a very good reputation for treating male factor problems so the donors are young women who are going though ICSI and agree to donate some eggs at ER. So it’s all a bit different to Barcelona or donor egg treatment in the US.
Glad to hear everyone is enjoying the acu. I’ve got 2 appointments per week sorted for when I’m back from holiday. By the way, has anyone heard of drinking raspberry leaf tea to help the lining develop?. I read about it on a German web site and have been trying it over the last week or 2. Tastes a lot better than the Chinese herbal stuff. On the packet it says it’s recommended for pregnant women just before giving birth.
On Tuesday we got our final go-ahead from the clinic to start on the meds(yesterday). AF should arrive in about 10 days and then I’ll be on the transfer cycle. I’ve got a big box of meds to take away with us. We’ve rented a little house on the north coast of Germany for some serious relaxing before the real stressful time prior to ET begins….
I’ve got the day off work today and just had to post here first. Must get a move-on with the packing now though, else we won’t be leaving tomorrow at this rate.
I’m not so happy about being away from the boards again for the next 10 days or so (!!!!) cos it’s my lifeline, especially with me coming up to the final run, and I’ll probably miss the next BFP (JEN!!!). Will be thinking of you all lots and lots, and looking forward to catching up with you again around 15th Sept.
Sorry to all the people I’ve missed. There’s so much going on and so much to catch up on. Love to everyone and lots of luck.
Sonia
