gi - oooh, can you send some of your apple crumble over here? I've had a craving for rhubarb crumble for a few weeks now, the kind we got at school dinners when we were younger, but I just can't find any nice ones to buy, and I'm still not really up to cooking unless it takes less than 30 minutes! Hope your last drip goes well today.

Positive - I'm a big believer in things happening for a reason, like me losing my job just as all the IVF stuff really started kicking off for DH and I, so I was able just to focus on me for a while. So I hope in a few weeks you find out the reason why those jobs just weren't meant to me. Going to the south of France sounds like a great plan to me, can we all come too???

Katie - thanks for the list, you're a star! That's going to really help us all keep track of each other. How are you doing today, is it a good or a bad day for the m/s?

Hi all! Can I join, too? I've been posting to the Oct Mommies board but this one seems to be the active one! I'm Merri. Just had our 2nd ultrasound at 8 weeks yesterday. Everything looks great. HR at 169 and baby measured at 8 weeks and 1 day. We're delighted. I am released from my RE now! Hurray! Can anyone tell me when the dr's wean us off progesterone? I'm still doing PIO shots nightly.

Steph,

My stomach dropped when I read your post. I am praying your baby holds strong and will be waiting to hear from you today.(((((HUGS))))))

Merri,
welcome to the thread! I am so glad to see you here! :D

Katie,
Thank so much for the list. It was getting hard to keep track of everyone. I still loving spending time with the horses, but really miss riding, however this is so worth it!. Has your m/s gotten any better?

gi,
I am with you about the sweet stuff, ugh!. Give me some meat!

PostiveT,
Yes we are on the right track. Remind me I said that when I am heaving my cookies in the next couple weeks....and I will remind you too! Cannot wait until your u/s to see how many babies you got in there cooking! I am so sorry you didn't get the jobs and your unemployment ran out. F*CK is the right word for that! Hopefully something will come your way. So you are from France? How cool!

Hazel,
It is interesting that each RE has a different answer to the pelvic rest issue, would be interesting to know if there have been any studies done. Glad to hear you have gotten your maternity pants. They are so much more comfortable. I am hoping I don't have to go into maternity pants for awhile yet, at least until I have enough belly to hold them up. Make sure and take some time to rest! you sound busy.

Hope,
HURRAY for a strong heartbeat! I am so happy for you! :D

Steph- I'm sending you positive energy for peace of mind and strength for the little ones. All will be ok no matter what. I know the scarey feeling, so know that we are thinking of you and DH! (((((hug))))

Katie- tomorrow I have my official first OB appt. Based on the IVF.ca due date calculator for twins, my EDD is Oct 4. I get released from my RE tomorrow, as well. That's all I know for now! Thank you for building our group chart. You are the organizer queen! You rock momma!

Hope- yeah for HB! wooo whoo. I hope that gives you a bit more peace of mind. Have you told anyone yet that you and DH are expecting?

Lou- I bought 3 prenatal workout tapes after my BFP. Of course, I kept the receipts knowing it is early and anything was possible. I ordered the tried and true Kathy Smith Pregnancy workout. Fitmama Pregnancy Prenatal Workout by Leisa Hart and a 10 Minute Solutions Prenatal Pilates. I have only done the Kathy Smith and Pilates once...and know I'm kind of just doing my own light stretching and walking the dog until my OB clears me for exercise. I found many other prenatal DVD's that I wanted to get, but I was afraid of going overboard.

I hope that everyone else is having a "feeling good" day. I feel much more normal today...so far anyway. hehehhee. Definitely going to have to go get some maternity jeans. I tried mine usual one's on yesterday with the ole pony tail holder as the extender and they were tight! ugh. So they are officially retired until I can fit in them again!

Steph Oh, honey my heart just sank when I read your post. I'm sorry that you're going through this. I can only imagine how scary that was. Thank God for a strong heart beat, I'm only hoping that the other one is in a hard to see location. Thankfully you'll have answers today. I'll keep you in my prayers that the bleeding stops and maybe the they'll see both HBs later. Hugs and prayers to you & DH

Ktelise Thanks! that did help alot. I broke down and asked Ghost and he said the same thing too. I just dont get how my RE is so fixated on having it rise to at least 60 though? how are you feeling? When is your next appt?

Gi Ack! me too! keep the sweets away from me - no thanks. But I'm very interested in things salty, and meat - weird huh? Hi to your Mam

Hazel I was getting worried about you. I'm so happy to hear that you have managed to be up and about finally! You've really been through the wringer with extremem m/s. So glad that its more under control now. How is Carolyn doing? I'll bet she is exhausted and ecstatic! How adorable are those two little babies? I'll bet they are too cute for words! Our time is coming soon enough!

Positive Sorry that the job interviews didnt go well. Try to not take it personally, the job market is extremely difficult as you well know. Maybe its for the best? Lets see how many beans you've got in there first. Oooooh, the South of France sounds wonderful! how are you feeling mama?

Merri Nice to see you again! I was told I'd be on PIO until 12 weeks, but the estrogen and baby aspirin will most likely be stopped at 10 weeks. How are you feeling?

Ronda Me too! Its all about meat for me lately - especially steak - yum! So no trip to TN anytime soon, I guess? I'm dying to go back for a visit (we were married there) but I dont see any vacations soon - not after all that was spent on ivf! Eeek!

Karen Hooray for being released to the OB! Did you pick one already? Good luck at your first appt! I cant wait to hear all of the details - I'll bet since you've got twins that they;ll do a u/s at the first appt - lucky girl!

AFM So far it looks like a m/s free day - but that can change quickly. We finally have some warm weather so I'm excited for that. I havent eaten chicken pot pie since I was a kid - yet I've been thinking of it for the past few days now - So I'm going to attempt to make it from scratch - wish me luck - baking & pie crusts are usually a disaster for me - oh, well we'll see

hugs & prayers to us all - xoxo

hjw - Thank you for asking but I am doing great...no spotting, mild stretch like pains, no cramping. The spotting I had was very little and my doctor did an exam and it was coming from a side of the cervix. He said that the blood flow to the cervix has increased and cause irritation to the veins. No big deal...I have had 2 m/c and this spotting was very different and I am feeling confident. I do still have dizzy spells, headaches, and am a little nauseas in the evenings. Other than this I am well. Are you going to be finding out if you are having a boy or girl? If so, this may soon...how exciting!

Stephanie - OMG...I am sure that the one bean with the strongheat will make it, for sure. I am praying that all of your questions are answered today and that you find the peace you need to move forward. I have come to learn that we are not given more than we can handle and I believe this. It took me a long time to realize this but look at all of us...we have made it and we will each have a happy ending in the end and this will all be worth it! I can't wait to hear your news today.

Katie - My next u/s is on 3/24 so you can add this to the lovely list you are compiling. Also, I am feeling good. How are you feeling...any symptoms?

Stephanie -- Oh no... I'm so sorry about your ordeal last night! That sounds absolutely terrifying! I'm going to pray with all my might that nothing will happen to your healthy little bean. Keep us posted after your u/s.

Gi -- How was your St. Patty's day? I sure enjoyed my corned beef and cabbage dinner! When is your u/s? Katie's list says 3/29, same as mine, but has a :?:

Positive -- Sorry about the job interviews. :( I was hoping you would get one of them so you wouldn't have to look while "showing". That said... I'm totally jealous about you possibly taking off to the south of France for a bit! What town are you from? I bet it's beautiful.

Merri -- Welcome!! Congrats on a healthy heartbeat! I cannot wait for my u/s for piece of mind. I feel waaay too good to be pregnant...lol.

Karen -- Thanks for the pregnancy workout DVD tips! I'm going to check those out and pick up a couple. Fitness is a big part of my life, but I want to do it right while being pregnant.

Hope -- Congrats on a healthy heartbeat! Hope the Zofran is working for your nausea. I felt so bad when I read that. I haven't been hit with m/s yet, but I'm sure it's coming soon.

Katie -- Glad I'm not alone in wondering if the baby is still in there. And your list is awesome! Very helpful. Love it! Thanks so much!

Hazel -- Thanks for the advaice. I'm considering more acupuncture as well. I really think it had something to do with my BFP, so I'm definitely a believer! I am jealous of your mommy spa day! Can I come too?

AFM-- OK, I'm overreacting to everything. Last night I had lower right abdominal pains. Not too bad, but quite persistent. I ended up convincing myself my pregnancy was ectopic when in fact.... turns out I was just constipated  . Anyone else suffering with that? What are you doing about it? I've tried increasing fiber and drinking more water. I'm considering Milk of Magnesia or even prune juice... yeck! Other than that, I just can't wait for my u/s. I really need to see this proof before I get attached.

Hi everyone -

Steph I've had you in my prayers all day honey.

ktelise I've got the usual symptoms: exhaustion, on & off nausea, OMG do my boobs hurt! tender abdomen, stretchy, pulling sensations and the most fun of all - moodiness. It could be much worse, but I'm not complaining - certainly not after it taking 7 attempts to get pg! How about you? it seems like some of us are doing really well with the m/s I think!

Lou he he he ummmm..... yeah constipation. i've looked this up in my nursing school books because the pg books dont explain it enough for me. Apparently we can look forward to this particular joy for the entire pg! Progesterone relaxes the smooth muscle of your intestines on purpose so the food stays in your system longer and the baby receives more nutrients. So your whole digestive system slows down - thats also why you will soon have gas like a frat boy! Oh the fun is just getting started it seems. Isnt it a god thing that my nursing licence is just sitting in a drawer? I was told to try to keep my water intake at 3 liters per day - yes I hunt for the ladies room all day long! I was told Colace is ok, but from my RE not an OB, increased fiber and of course prune juice if desparate. Remember that OTC prenatals are a culprit also (iron content) If I EVER get released to the OB my first order of business will be asking for a prescription prenatals because they contain micronized iron which is suppossed to be easier on your system.

AFM - shopping, then errands, then cooking, baking wasnt happening with how tired i am today ( yay no nausea though!) So maybe tomorrow - sounds like an order pizza night -sigh

Update - I went in for my US and because it's spring break my daughter was with us and not at school. This meant DH had to stay out in the waiting room with her. Boy was he upset, but he got over it and I went back. The techs aren't allowed to tell you anything because they are not a doctor, but after telling her what happened to me last night she was very sympathetic and worded things just right and told me all she could. I started to bawl immediately, she showed me two healthy heartbeats!! Baby A 149 and baby B 130! She told me there appears to be a subchorionic hemorrhage or miscarrying a third embie. I had a doc have a quick look and his vote is subchorionic hemorrhage. He said that it is normal and shouldn't hurt my baby blobs! I will find out for sure after they review the scan tomorrow. I can't believe how horrible of a night we had last night and how awesome it turned out today. This proves to me that miracles are possible! I came out of the US crying, my DH thinking that something must be wrong then I show him the picture of the two babies and I break down even more. So there I am crying in front of everyone in the radiology like a big baby, DH comforting me and laughing. Thank you all for all your support! I don't know what I would do if I didn't have this support system. I am so glad I came here!!

Stephanie - Thank goodness...I knew everything would be fine but you had us all worried! Has the bleeding stopped? It is so stressful to spot or bleed and I can only imagine the night you had last night.

I felt the same way when I started spotting....one minute you think it is all over and the next you see the heartbeat (or heartbeats in your case) and you are on top of the world again!!! Woo hoo....have a relaxing evening and keep us posted.

hi ladies,

Steph i just lit a candle for your little baby and then you came on with your message and Thank God everything is ok, i was so worried for you as i know how scary it is to have a bleed. Your scan looks beautiful and congrats on the Twins!!!!! Lets just hope thats the only drama they will cause you ..... until they are stroppy teenagers

hjw you should goole jamie olivers receipe for crumble i use the healthier one with oats and wholemeal flour and omg its delicious...well it was!! Hows the m/s??

merri yeah you came over missed your posts!!

lou yeah my scan is same day as you, i get butterflies when i think of it!!

katie nice to have another m/s free day?? thanks for the list it nice to see where everyone is at.

positive thinking sorry about the job its tough out there at the moment but if you have twins you are going to be very big tired and busy!! France sounds nice though.

I had my 3rd Intralipid drip today it was nice getting it done knowing i was pregnant. The nurses were so happy and excited for us. I have the scan in 11 days then all going well need more Chicago bloods done in 3 wks time to ck the levels of the killer cells and if still elevated will need another intralipid session. Its a relief that they are re testing me instead of just saying thats it like my old clinic. Anybody else not sleeping well?? though i think the steroids have a side effect of not sleeping though its great i am off work so i am not too exhausted. A work mate texted me tonight and apparently the boss is in one of his moods just ranting and raving what a great feeling it is not to be there  for someone who doesnt mind working i am getting lazy and loving it!!!

Thank you gi for lighting a candle and thinking of me. Thant is sweet! I can't wait till they are drama causing teenagers. lol

ktelise, if this is what you were going through I don't know how you stayed calm. lol

I had gushing and bright red, I was freaked out to stay the least. I showed up to the ER and my BP was 158 over 104. That's a record! I am now what I would consider spotting. It's a little darker than last night so I guess that is a good sign. I was told if it doesn't stop in 3 days I have to be seen. I hope the bleeding doesn't come back, that was WAY too scarey. I am still on edge and not sure I will ever come in off that edge now for a while. I am just so thankful for everything right now. After experiencing something like that, you really count all your blessings.

Steph Oh, Thank God! I was worried and thinking of you all day! I'm SOOOOOO happy thats all it was! - And now its official -
You're having twins!!!!  your DH must be over the top!!!! Yipppeeee!
Go get some rest after a night like that you must be wiped out!

Gi Whew! its nice to not have to listen to the boss rant and rave all day, isnt it? it is a side effect of steroids to have difficulty sleeping, but thats fine, because its helping you with those darn NK cells. I love that your new clinic is being overly catious with you! Grrr! I'm still mad at your old clinic! At least now you are in good hands! Ooooh, I love Jamie Oliver! I used to watch his show all the time
