(It's time to pull out the blinkies I think)

Rio: Lots of love your way. Hoping you are feeling good today. Sending you strength for u/s on Thursday. ImageImageImage

Katie: Thanks for the silly joke!Image

And I like the one day at a time mentality—it is still just so hard to WAIT. And your beta is on Friday….that is 3 more sleeps. How are you today? I have heard of a lot of women getting some spotting, so it is probably nothing, but I can completely understand how it would make you worry. Is it better today?

Ginger: Congratulations!! You are PUPO! :D Rest up and let those embi-babies snuggle in! You are: Image

Ana: U/s on the 28th! Excellent. Just one week away!Image

Dahlias: Welcome…although, sorry to hear about your BFN. :( Good luck at your appt on Thursday, but in the meanwhile, take time for yourself and hold DH close. (((HUGS)))

Nwquiz: Good luck tomorrow with IUI!!! You will be: Image

Pauleen: Thanks for the BFP vibes. I will take any and all that anyone wants to send my way. Sorry about the difficulty with adoption. I understand how much of a nightmare it can be—and it is such a shame. You and DH did a wonderful, selfless thing. It is sad that you have to go through so much struggle to “make it official.” Good luck tomorrow with your appt. Ask questions! I have never been lucky enough to have any frosties to do a FET, but my understanding is that they have pretty good success rates. Ask what your clinics are. And, I know that desire to get “sticking” is strong—not as many sticks for FET, however. Hope you won’t go into withdrawal…I have some extra sticks to pee on if that will give you something to do?!

Kildean: Ooow….that sounds very promising! Can you take a photo and post it for the other addicts to see? And, what is this about waiting until FRIDAY to test again!?!? 2 days away?! That isn’t how a POAS diva behaves (lol). What is that? Self-restraint? Never heard of it. Image

Heather: Yes it is early. And I guess I can respect your DH’s desire to be there and all. I suppose you are married to him and not us crazy POAS addict ladies here. BUT. Can we be the 2nd ones to know? LOL. And yes first morning urine (FMU) is the best, but if you are able to just hold it for like 4 hrs during the day, it is almost as good! Any other lessons you need for POAS class? Oh, what tests are you using?Image

Kari: I think it looks good!!! :D :D Can’t wait to hear your beta!!Image

Lou: Thank for the vote of confidence! And let us know when to get on our AF dancing shoes and we will put a hole in the floor for ya! And—you’ll of course have to wear white, and sexy panties and all the other things that make AF show her evil face.Image

Leora: I am peeing as hard as I can to get that BFP for you…uh, I mean ME! So, you better do the same your turn soon.
Image

And, congratulations on submitting your paperwork! If you need a note from a shrink vouching for your sanity—give me a call! I’ll keep the POAS addiction out of my letter. Seriously, I am hoping that you get bumped way up that list. What is the next step in the process?

ME? Hanging in there...going crazy exactly half way through my 2ww....some mild cramping and twingy.

Margi- Oh my gosh I love the "whizzing on a stick" blinkie LOL Im using internet cheapies. They claim to be 10iu. Anyways Im 10pdo today and did poas this morning and think I have a very faint line after it dried. So I dont know. I have some electronic epts for Christmas eve and day. Anyways, I tried to take a picture but you cant see anything. But I did keep it and it still has the faint line. So Im cautiously optimistic LOL Isnt it possible to show a false faint line after it dries?

Margi - are you sure you are qualified to write a "she's normal" letter, Ms. Blinkie-Craziness? :D Like everything else in infertility, the next step is waiting.... lots of waiting. They will call us for an interview with a social worker. I asked "when". The response was "depends on the case load of each social worker". I asked for an estimate and got "I don't know".... Just more and more and more waiting. But in the vein of taking things one day at a time - just 6 more sleeps until our next RE appt.

Heather - I really really hope that's a real line! I'm so obsessed and desperate - I see lines that are never even there.... don't lose hope yet - I got a BFN at 10dpo and had a beta of 350 only a week later! It's so nice that your hubby is around this time. For my first IVF, my DH was in basic training (Israel has mandatory army service, since we moved here and were still young, DH had to serve for 6 months of mandatory service - he was stationed in a recruitment office and did nothing!) and it was SOOOOOO lonely to do this myself. My MIL came with me to my ET.....so lonely....

Rio - I'm so sorry for the loss of your twin, but hopefully tomorrow will show that all is well with your baby! You are getting good and far along, you should see little baby arm/leg-buds - maybe s/he will be waving hello!

nwquiz - keep us updated on the IUI! Maybe you'll be PUPO really soon!

Lou - I'll be dancing with Margi! Come on, AF! Amazing how on any given day we either REALLY want a period or REALLY don't?

AFM - since I self-elected myself as listmistress, maybe I should ask what you, as my loyal subjects/minions/constituency want you want with the list. Should I post it under every one of my posts (which fluctuate in frequency, depending on how much I want to say and what is happening in my life)? Once a day - even with no changes? Everytime there is a change? Once a day, only if there is a change? Let me know your preferences.....

Crazy busy week for me - our opera opens next Tuesday night! So lots of rehearsals this week - and in my "free time" I'm the assistant costume mistress, so lots of last minute hand-sewing and emergency repairs....Luckily, my work is in a business that deals mostly with universities, so work is kinda slow from now until after the new year. I'll post pictures of me in full costume if you'd like. We are setting our opera in the Roaring 20s - so lots of flapper dresses and short wigs! Fun!

Margi - Can I just say I love you! I love your blinkies it makes me smile - I am ok today - the spotting which so minimal has stopped still some weird cramping but I think we might be ok - DH husband and I prayed all night long & pleaded with god or whoever & our precious little beans to stick, stick, stick! I couldn't stand it anymore so at 4AM POAS a digital one and it poped up so fast pregnant (in about 20 seconds) so that gave us some peace & allowed us to sleep for a few hours. I will keep you updated I am keeping the faith & by this time tomorrow I will be that much closer to my beta on Friday morning.

Kildean - I think the test last night you can't count on because after the test time it can be a evaporation line - but the one this morning that is all yours baby welcome to the 2ww POAS addicts BFP group! Now just keep on peeing and let us know

Heather - You are becoming a POAS addict please, please, please go to the store & buy two more for tomorrow and Thursday! Inquiring minds want to know (that would be me) I am happy that you got that one now lets just see them get darker - happy sticky baby thoughts coming your way :P

Dahlias - Welcome to the group! this is your year & I am sending baby making thoughts your way -

Leorira - I am so proud of you! You are so strong & so young I wish I had 1/2 your tenacity at your age! You will be a wonderful mother & know one deserves it more than you! When we adopted out DD we had to get reference letters from friends, family, co-workers etc.... I would be honored to write one for you if that is required....

To everyone else where ever you are in your journey know we are all right there with you cheering you on, wiping your tears, hugging you or laughing with you --

Leora – I’m so sorry for the BFN. It’s just not fair. Now about your friend…I think it’s amazing that you want to donate for them. I would do it in a heartbeat. My whole outlook on fertility has changed since starting this journey 3 years ago…how time seems to disappear. With all that you’ve been through, you’ll be an amazing support for her and she could turn into an amazing support for you. It’s a super personal decision, but I would do it. I’ve even thought about doing Egg donation after this, but given that I still am not pregnant, by the time I give birth, no one will want my eggs!

Kat- welcome! I really hope this is the perfect cycle for you this time!

Margi – Hi! I definitely remember you. We did make it to Arenal, but didn’t go to the hot springs. DH isn’t a huge fan of hot tubs and he thought it would be one giant hot tub. We had an absolute blast though. Arenal was gorgeous! Congrats on being PUPO!!! I hope this is it for you too!

Annashope – I would definitely recommend Costa Rica. There is so much to do there! It’s not like most warm places I have been where you sit on the beach the whole time…we were super active and the jungle is amazing. If you’re ever thinking about going there, PM me. I can give you some good advice  Oh my gosh and congratulations on your pregnancy! How amazing!!!!

Ryann – I am so so very happy for you! Look at all of those wonderful betas!

Nancy B- We’re all going to pick you up and get you back with some positive energy! I know how hard this is and I’m so sorry that this is so stressful on you. I know it’s a huge financial pressure and hopefully this FET will work!

Hi Sunshine!

Meinemo – welcome! Are you using donor sperm or someone you know? Sorry if that’s so personal out of the gate here.

Tammy – I’m so sorry about your m/c. This is just terrible. What the heck are they saying?

Lou – you’ve been on my mind as well. Always thinking of you and cheering you on. I can’t believe you had surgery. I’ve been away from the boards for awhile and had no idea you were doing that! Oh my. I really hope DH is taking great care of you. How was CA? Costa Rica was amazing. It was exactly what we needed!

Karian – Can’t wait to cheer you on!

Amanda – Hi! 3rd time will be a charm. Are they changing your protocol at all?

Rio- I just am in tears for you right now. I’m so so so very sorry for your loss. Big giant hugs to you.

Dahlias – we are using donor sperm too, so if you need anyone to talk to about it, let me know! Are you going to go back to IUI then first? Or IVF with DS?

AFM: Okay, I’m so sorry, I’ve been MIA for the past week. Since coming back from vacation I’ve been totally swamped at work. Then we had to drive to the inlaws last weekend for x-mas, then on Sunday I had a baby shower…I know we’ve done a lot of bitching on this forum about baby showers, and we’ve all heard it a million times, but I’m still going to *****. Not fun. Hated attending. My sister hosted the shower, which made it worse. She was drunk a few weeks ago and said it too, she said, why am I not hosting this shower for you…it’s just not fair…so my sister is definitely in my court and understands how hard it is for me to go through this shit. I stayed after everyone left and helped my sister clean up the shower and we had a few glasses of wine and I totally broke down. I know how silly this is, but I have to put together my xmas card to send out and last year I was thinking…okay this will be the last year that it will be just us in the photo…here I am a year later and I’m just so devastated about it. We’ve decided to wait until next month to save money, so I should be starting around Jan 18 with my IUI around Jan 31. This will be the 4th one. God, please just let this work!

I love all of the familiar faces, as there are many of us that have been on this journey together. Seriously…this has to be it for us. I will not ask for anything less.

Tiger04 - Welcome back! We missed you and your awesome sense of humor! Thank you for your sweet words. 2010 will be the last year without a baby in the picture, PMA, it will work!!! Sorry about the ignorance but how much does an IUI cost vs IVF? Where did you get your DS and how are they screened? I always had so many questions about IUI... Happy you are back and this will be your year!

Heather - are you all better from the flu? How is the aiming going ;) ? Thank you again for being so sweet.

Katieb - I am glad your spotting has stopped and a lot of women do experience that, so your bean should be just fine. I have done more praying these past couple of weeks than the entire last year! Every waking moment so I understand! Praying for a super beta on Friday! Thank you for the laugh!

Leora - I love the listmistress! Great job keeping it up, it is no easy task! I would love to see pics of you in costumes! May I ask that if you are having to wait so long to adopt, would you be interested in embryo adoption? As an American could you adopt a baby here? Have you considered DS? Sorry if these are to personal. I know those are hard decisions to make. Thank you for your good wishes!

Margi - blinkie queen! I love them! 1/2 way through 2ww, woohoo brace yourself for a huge BFP! I hear ya on having to work at work, what a drag... ;) I got too much on my mind to work!

Kildean - congratulations!

Lou - doing a super AF dance for you, sucks it all has to be timed or you miss a cycle. I am still amazed at your FSH drop, congrats! Got DH on super vits also?

nwquiz - you should be hopefull and happy! You will be PUPO soon! Let us know!

Lauren319 - I was thinking about you! So glad to see you here!

Lauren1171 - how are you doing?

SDtrying - our resident doctor! I love your pics, one cuter than the other!

Bakers - how are you doing?

Jenmkink - good to see you here! I hope this Re is the one to give you a BFP!

Dahlias - I am so sorry for your BFN, huge hugs. Will you do IUI or IVF with DS? What is NOA? You had a great number of eggs so hopefully the cycle with DS will work and you will get your BFP!

Pauleen - bless your heart for adopting this little girl. 9 frosties is great and I hope you will get your BFP very soon, bring those popsicles home to mommy!

Kariberri - Congratulations!

Anacris - Wishing you a super awesome US on 12/28!!

Mishell Sending you huge hugs, I am so sorry for your loss and your BFN, sometimes life does have a way of testing your strength. I hope you get some answers at your WTF appt.

txcp - congrats on being PUPO! And frostie insurance! Awesome!

I think I got everyone! If not, I am still thinking of you and sending you major BFP. Sorry that I keep stalking this thread but I really want to see through all of your BFPs - cause they are coming! I guess you girls really can't get rid of me ;)

Good Evening Ladies!!

Dahlias - So sorry to hear about your BFN.

Margie - Girl you went Blinkie CRAZY! Wowza! Made your post super fun to read!

Leora - I too wanted to say Thank You for managing our list. There isn't a time it is posted that I don't smile at where I am on it. I personally, think either once a week or whenever there is a change is often enough to post it. Again, just my opinion. And I would love to see pictures of you in the opera! Sounds like so much fun! I've always wanted to go to an opera. It sounds so romantic.

Rio - GREAT job on the personals. That had to have taken you forever. I wish I had that type of patience and memory. I take notes sometimes and DH thinks I am loco!

AFM - My mom is out of the hospital! Thank goodness and let's hope she stays out! DH is off with the boys tonight. He shoots trap weekly - Little clay bird thingys. So I get my Winter Cycle Board time and TiVo time. Yay! We had a little SNAFU with my PIO IM injection tonight. DH accidently stuck me twice. Luckily it didn't hurt too bad. He felt soooo bad and I tried to reassure him that it was ok. He has been doing such a good job.

I think I might run out of PIO before my beta. Not sure if I should go ahead and order more or see if it lasts. The nurse told me that I should have enough for the 2ww. I haven't opened the second vial, but I might have to tomorrow night. I just want to get through next Wednesday and we can pick more up from the pharmacy in St. Louis when we go for our beta if we need it. I know its early on in the PIO IM injectiosn, but they really aren't that bad! I had them made out to be the devil.

9 more sleeps til the beta!! I want to POAS so bad, but I don't want to go against DH. UGH!!!!

OH......I do have one question for you ladies. Once you get your BFP...when do you plan on telling people? We have our beta on 12/30 and I want to tell our very small core group of family and friends what those results are. Again, it's a very small group. I know it's not a good idea to tell people too early, but they have been cheering us on though all the doctors visits, shots, and IVF in general. I don't mind waiting to tell the general population, but the core group I want to tell the news as we have it. Thoughts? Experiences?

Haven't checked in this thread for a while. Sorry to hear about all the BFN's and happy to hear about all the BFP's! Wishing all the strong ladies on the board a very happy holiday season despite of all the heart aches and pains. By any chance, did any of you catch the lunar eclipse last night? It was beautiful! DH and I drank hot chocolate on our patio and saw the moon change colors. We even videotaped it and joked about showing it to our great great grandchildren :P

AFM, I just ordered my meds from the pharmacy today, which will be delivered on Thursday. Even though I haven't started my AF yet, I figured it could help with the taxes if we purchased it before the end of the year. Besides, it is starting to feel a bit more realistic now. I'm thinking my AF is 8 days away IF I'm picking up on my body's hints correctly. I'm putting myself to the test. :]

I'm so jealous you saw the eclipse! I was up at 2am looking for it, but it was too cloudy/foggy here. Nothing to see. I was so disappointed.

I remember being so excited when my meds were ordered and arrived. Its the start of your journey! Good luck!

Thank you all for your kind words. I'm just amazed by the outpouring of support that has come through my online community. It's so incredible to have been able to connect with so many strong women.

Rio - NOA = nonobstructive azoospermia. DH has a very rare condition that causes him to produce such a small quantity of sperm that it doesn't even come out. His hormone levels are all normal and no blockage exists... it is truly an anomaly that even the best of doctors are unable to explain. IVF was our only hope at having children that are biologically both of ours.

I have never had the opportunity to try IUI due to DH's condition so we figured we might as well give it a shot with donor sperm. I responded very well to the IVF drugs and ovulate regularly. I have been assessed by two RE's who both believe me to be "a good responder." Though my FSH is slightly elevated at 10.21, I'll have age on my side for just a little longer. So, that's where we're headed, though my RE might have a different plan in mind when we meet with him tomorrow.
Me: 33, uterine septum successfully resected 9/10, FSH borderline high (10.21)
DH: 41, NOA

11/10 - IVF #1
Beta 12/20 - BFN, no surprise - probably moving on to DS

Wow, there have been some bursts of BFPs since I was here last. I couldn't go through all of the previous posts, but congrats to everyone. As for the rest.... so sorry... I am sure it sucks. I've been at this trying naturally and with helps of stim meds for almost 3 years and know how disappointing every AF can be. DH and I have decided on one last "big shot" at ttc and will do IUI next cycle. I just started this one on Sunday, but this cycle is out. I need to "collect" my meds as I am able to afford them and then hopefully have enough by the end of January when next cycle begins. I've had one BFP and I know both tubes are open, its just a matter of catching the "one good egg." Unfortunately I picture all of my 44 year old eggs with liver spots and walkers, so that is definitely going to be a difficult task. I respond pretty well to clomid, so I am hoping with some injectable stim meds next cycle I can produce about 20 just to get one good one! LOL Trying my best to stay positive!
