Lauren - for me, on my first cycle they increased my gonal f by alot since they knew from iuis that I am a slow responder. That cycle I did not get too many eggs and none to freeze. So on 2nd cycle he decreased the gonal f a little and had me mix it with menopur. He said it was to try to get more eggs, which I did And even froze 5! The REs learn from every failed cycle. It sucks, but hopefully next time you will get alot!

Lauren1171 - yes I know the wait is a drag I had to wait the next day for my 2 Beta... boy that was a mess can't wait to her both of you beta's today and Angela and Dr.Boots too. I agree with you that the RE leans every cycle but too bad we are paying for that?? See everyone reacts different so they can't know how we are going to react. But for sure when something works they should not touch it... that's what happened to me they changed my DE protocole and so it didn't work.

Lauren - yes you feel crushed. It's terryble. Sounds like you are pg or were pg but there is something happening down there. Hang on we are all waiting with you girls. It's nice to see your dh so exited. Mine was never exited for any of our pgs.

Me what I have changed is doing Natural cycle. Meds just don't work with me. But don't give up yet... just a few more hours

Amanda – I am sorry about the negative HPT. There is a good chance that your beta is still too low to be picked up on the HPT. I wish you good luck tomorrow for your beta.

Waiting4GodsMiracle – so you decided to transfer 2 embryos or maybe 3 … that sounds good.

Natakia – I know everything will be fine w/ your beta. I’m so excited for you!!! Please let us know as soon as you find out.

Lauren1171 – Oh, how I know how that wait can seem sooooooooooo long. I got so impatient several times while I was waiting for my call that I ended up calling the office myself. My DH just laughed and said you have absolutely “NO” patience! LOL!!!

Lauren – I am so sorry. I know how crushed you and your DH feel. Sometimes we just never figure out why something worked or didn’t work but it could just be a small change in your protocol that makes all the difference in the world. I know it is stressful but sometimes it takes a few cycles to get your BFP. I really hope we can be here for you to help you through this.

Now that I think about it, the changes that my RE made from this cycle compared to my first cycle was that my RE increased my stimming medication a lot and I seemed to respond much better for my last cycle (I produced a lot more follicles).

Helene – I am glad your weekend went very well but I am so sorry your DH and your DD are still arguing. I know that has to be such a stressor for you to be caught in the middle. I know your DH might get frustrated sometimes but I am sure he didn’t mean what he said about the apartment. It might be a good idea to get family counseling because you have so much going on right now that it might help your whole family coup w/ all the changes much better. I have heard from several families that it can work wonders.

AFM – Well, we went to our first u/s this morning and my heart was beating so fast that I thought it might jump out of my chest! As soon as we started the u/s, my RE immediately saw the sac, fetal pole, and the HB!!!!! Whoooo hoooo! The heartbeat is 117 and my RE said everything looks and sounds great. He said I can now call my high risk OB and update them on my progress and maybe schedule an appointment after 12 weeks because that is when I will be released.

Yes not to worry those numbers are fantastic... I am so happy for you girl. It's all going to work you know. So when do they expect that an U/S can show them what they want to see? You don't have any cramping right?

I just knew your beta would be great today! It almost tripled again! I think the beta has to be 2,000+ to see if it is viable (they will be able to see a sac and a fetal pole) but you will be there before you know it! I am so very excited we both got great news today (I saw my baby and heard the HB today)!!

The beta has to be over 2000 to do an u/s. I'm going Wed for beta again and it should be at least 450. So it should be 2000 by next Wednesday! I leave for vaca Thursday night and I get home tuesday morning, so I will probably go back for blood on Wed and hopefully schedule u/s from there.

Angela - I am so happy for you that you got to see everything and hear your baby's heartbeat! I can't wait til I can too. It's so exciting!

Hi Lauren,

Those #'s are great!! They tripled. I wouldn't worry a bit and have a great vacation.

My nurse still hasn't called and I did my BW at about 9:20. I left them a message about 30min ago, saying a have a 4pm meeting & would like a call prior to that. I don't know why it's taking them sooo long (usually never takes this long). I pray my numbers are good!! I'll post as soon as I hear back!

My nurse called and my 2nd beta level is 811 Yea!!! she said it should double & it's definitely doing that. So I go back on 5/24 @ 4:30 for my first U/S...I was hoping sooner...but I guess they want to make sure there is a heartbeat by that time. Also, I go in for my 3rd beta this Thursday!! I'm so excited!!!

I am so sorry and know you are hurting. I wish I could put my arms around you girl. Dear I know you feel all hopes are gone. But there is always a light at the end of the tunnel you have to find the right one... I will continu praying for you girl and one day you will have your BFP I know it... hugs...
