Hey Aunty a kookaburo is a meat eating bird with a very famous laugh, mostly heard in any jungle movie usually mistaken for a monkey cry. The kookaburo is from the kingfisher family, which means it hunts for its food. it usually preys on small rodents such as mice or rats, it has a long narrow beak that it catches its prey with then it will fly up onto a branch and flick its head to slap its prey's body onto the branch, after killing its prey it will then swallow it whole. Another cool things about kookaburos are that the male bird also takes care of and feeds the family the partners stay together for life and the older offspring will also help feed and care for their younger siblings. they are really cool birds

OK ladies I have a  question about sex shhhhhh  ...... lol.
Now I know that my clinic says no intercourse for 10 days after the retrieval and then even longer after the transfer.... BUT I read somewhere god I can't remember where that sex right before transfer is good>>>> Have any of you heard this?????..... I am so sure that my DH is willing to take that for the team and he is so hoping with crossed fingers and toes that one of you have heard or read that to. Thanks again

My hey there...yes tell hubby i have heard that too my clinic don't like you too but the thinking is if you where ttc the old fashioned way then you would have had sex right so maybe having swimmers in the womb mimics the environment there would normally be??????

hope that helps....love Aunty

My... not only did my Dr. tell me to have sex the night before transfer, but it's on the calendar they print for me! It is supposed to mimic the natural conception environment. Have fun!

Gotta tell you, girls, these tabs are VERY small--- was quite an interesting experience this morning getting them up to cervix... dh offered to help "push them in further". what a prince, always lookin' out for me! heeheehee. i know, i know, WAY tmi  .

A good evening to all....

yeah, as for dh, he just walked in room and offered to help me again tonight... said he is willing to "take on for the team". What a dear lol! I jokingly told him maybe that wouldn't be a good idea to get estrogen all over his willie... and asked me what would happen. with a straight face, i told him he might grow bbs... you should have seen how pale he turned!! i think since i am in the medical field, he actually believed me for a few seconds! heeheehee, wicked i am

Hey guys
Just wanted to let you guys know that I had my transfer this morning and it went well. We only had one embie make the thaw but thats ok I am still hopeful as the RE said it was a 4AA blast which is the best at my clinic so I am happy about that and I am just sitting here officially in the 2WW and hating that part...I just want to know if it worked or not!!! I am so impatient!!! Oh well part of the game. Just wanted to pop in and let you all know.....

hey ladies

its a just a quick one for me as i have to go and get my hair done...

jodic - what a relief!! i'm so pleased its all still going ahead. thinking of you lots!

tans - well done on your ET. your baby is home!! take good care of yourself and cant wait to hear your BFP!!

hopeful - thanks for posting sassy's stuff here. OMG i couldnt stop laughing!!

my - i'm thinking of your embies!! not long till they are home sweet home!! x

ange - glad your rash is sorted out and you have a cure.

mominwaiting - loving your PMA, keep it up girl!!

aunty - how you doing?? i'm a bit confused about this whole blast transfer thing?? can you please explain what the difference is between that and a "Normal" (i guess) transfer is?! sorry...

raintree - well done on your ET!!! 2 is fantastic and please just remember it only takes 1!!! keep up that PMA and we'll see that BFP on here very soon!!

sorry if i've missed anybody but gotta dash. wish i wasnt going out as AF arrived for me today and my IBS is really playing up (i think its coz the open day is near and the whole IVF thing generally is getting close) so i'm in lots of pain today as you can imagine. AF pains AND IBS!!! lol. the fun and joys of it. hey, at least i'll have a tiny insight into labour pains!!  (doubt it very much)....so after i've had my hair done, i'll be back here on the sofa with my heat cushion catching up with you lovely ladies a bit more. sorry for the whinge!!

Tans- congrats on your transfer, 1 perfect beanie on its way for you!!!!
keep up the PMA and keep busy to make the time go by faster!

Shantala- a blast transfer is on day 5 after retrieval at my clininc. it gives the embies a chance to show the doctor which ones are a better shot of growinging into a little pumpkin, sh it helps in the selection. BUT the process between day 3 and day 5 when the ferlilized egg grows into a blastocyst is in a clinic. not in the moms womb so there is a slight chance that an embie that would have made it to a blast in the womb doesn't in the medical womb. At my clinic they will only try for a blast transfer if you have atleast 6 embies at a certain grade. i hope this helps!

Raintree- 2 is a beautiful number, and lower grade embies turn in to screaming 2 year olds everyday, keep up the PMA, miracles happen all the time!!!!!

Rachel- hope the flushes and headache has subsided a tad!
you are on your way!!!!

Ange I can picture your calendar with a image of two people going at it hehehe! crack me up!

MY- my clinic never recommended intercourse, they always said it was how i felt. on my other ivf attemps we did, and we had nookie about a week after transfer, all with BFN. this time we didn't have nookie for about a week before retrieval and not until after we found out i was BFP? one thing too that i noticed, THIS MAY ALL BE COINCIDENTAL!!!!! but when i had nookie before retrieval We got about 6-0 eggs.
If we didn't have nookie we got about twice as much.. coincidence I don't know, but this is just my own little research. again THIS IS ONLY ME, do whatever you feel comfortable doing, that is the MOST important thing thru this whole rollercoaster ride.

SS-ooh hawaiian dinner- YUM any hot hula guys serving the food to you or is that just my own fantasy! hehehehe
Happy birthday to your mom!

Well it is saturday morning 5:15 and my snoring dog woke me up and that was it! hopefully i will sneek in a nap today, my best friend is coming over so I can give her a massage, and then a birthday party tonight! Thank God nothing is planned for tomorrow! alright have a great day ladies!
love bec
