IT LOOKS LIKE ALL CLINICS HAVE DIFFERENT VIEWS TO TOP DOSES EH?? MY CLINIC ALSO PREFERS TO USE MENOPUR FOR OLDER LADIES - I HAVE NOT BEEN ON ANYTHING ELSE.
WITH REGARD TO THE OVARIES - THE CONSULTANT TOLD ME AT MY FOLLOW UP APPT THAT THEY COULDNT ACCESS ONE OF MY OVARIES BECAUSE APPARENTLEY ONCE THE OVARIES HAVE FOLLIES IN THEM THEY DROP NEXT TO THE UTERINE WALL WHICH MAKES ACCESS EASIER. BUT APPARANTLEY ONE OF MINE DIDNT DROP AND HAD BLOOD VESSELS AROUND IT WHICH HINDERED ACCESS!! JUST MY BLOODY LUCK!! 3 EGGS WASTED!! BUT NETHERTHELESS THEY STILL TRANSFERED 2 GOOD EGGS WHICH IS ALL I COULD HAVE ANYWAY. HAVING SAID THAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE HAD A COUPLE OF FROSTIES!! WOULD HAVE LIKE TO HAVE TRIED FROSTY ROUTE!! SEEMS TO WORK FOR SOME PEOPLE EH.

WHEN I ASKED WHY IT DIDNT DROP HE SAID THAT IT COULD HAVE BEEN BECAUSE IT WAS ATTACHED TO SCAR TISSUE OR SOMETHING!?!?!
THE PLOT THICKENS!! HA-HA. YOU HAVE TO LAUGH EH OR ELSE YOU END UP STRESSED!!

Hi, feels like I've been gone forever instead of just 2 weeks.
I'm pretty much mentally and physically over that last try. The mc lasted 12 days which surprised me and we've just decided against a medicated FET, despite our consultant's advice. We're both of mind to reach closure asap. We'll go natural and just have a scan on Day 10 of my next cycle (v.early May), use ovulation tests to find O-day and wait for the thaw. We've got two frosties, one of which is the lowest grade to freeze. We're not remotely optimistic and are only doing this FET as a means to the end (sic) to use up the final embies. Over, finito, no more, sick to death of the whole horrible game. I'm itching to move on, to clear the loft and give all the baby things away, start to clear some mental space and stop thinking about 'what if' as we've done every single day for nearly 2.5yrs.
Sorry I've not been here to cheer or commiserate. I know it's been a dismal time all round pretty much, except Lara of course - best of luck with your scan. Ladies about to cycle, I wish you nothing but the best. Every year a couple of us from this side squeeze through and make it to the other side, it's way overdue that one of us did so.
I'll come back if ET goes ahead.
hugs
Debra

Game Over.
Dates: Aug 02 - May 06
Tries: 5 fresh + 4 frozen.
Results: 1 daughter, 2 m/c, 1 ectopic.
Debra, I've missed you, thanks for checking in. I am totally with where you're at, I get it. It's absolutely exhausting, and there comes a point where you just want to chill out and live a bit. If this doesn't work, ie if I m/c yet again, I'm so out of here. It's amazing how you can't imagine you'll ever feel like that, but then you do feel like that, you just let go because you absolutley have to or you'll die.
All the very best with the frosties - I've a friend who's boy is a frosty she'd had knocking around in the freezer for years - so there you go.
Thanks for all of your support on my past IVF cycle.
I just wanted to fill you in on my pregnancy test. I got a BFN today. I knew it was going to be negative, since I took a HPT yesterday. We still have 4 frosties, but I don't know what we are going to do with them yet. We will have a post IVF conference with our doctor in a few weeks and can discuss the frosties at that time. I don't have high hopes on 4 frosties, when 8 fresh eggs (5 embies) could produce no pregnancy.
For some reason, my body just cannot get pregnant.
I do know that we are proceeding with the adoption. If all goes as planned, DH and I will be going to China next June to bring our daughter back home. We have decided to name her Elena.
Jo: Good luck on your follies!
Bev: Good luck on your cycle.
Lara: Good luck on your scan this week. We are counting on you!!!
Take care all,
Tammy

Debra,
I so totally understand and am in the exact same place. Our transfer is May 2nd and I found myself feeling optimistic for a moment today and scolded myself for doing so. I just can't afford to be the emotional wreck that i've been with my last 5 cycles. I just want it all to be over and don't really expect it to work but we have these 3 left. So what's a person to do. Can't destroy them......what if 1 of them ISN'T chromosomally abnormal and just might be our son or daughter? So i'm hoping for the calendar to go by rapidly.
Lara,
I do envy you and can't wait to hear the results of your first scan.
Tammy,
You out there? How's it going? OK?
Hi all, just popped in to see how everyone is getting along.
Lisa, glad you seem to be coping a bit better now, and good luck for your FET. You are right, one of those little frozens may be the one. Hoping that you get lucky this time. x
Hey Tammy, so sorry that this didn't work. Thinking of you at this difficult time. You say that "for some reason my body just cannot get pregnant". Is there any reason why you think this, could it just be that your eggs are of poor quality like mine. Sorry if you have been through all this in the past and I have not been around when you discussed it, but have you thought about egg donation? With younger eggs you may have more of a chance. Just a thought. I am pleased that you have your adoption to focus on, at least that way, you will get your little girl. Elena is a lovely name. Take care honey, and you and DH look after each other. Lots love x
Lara, am waiting with everything crossed for you for a successful scan on Thursday. Laugh, your description of your friend's son makes him sound like a popsicle from the 70's. Bless, it just goes to show, there are no sure fire rules in this game.
Debra, good to hear from you. What a time you have had, 12 days! Wishing you all the luck in the world for your FET. Take care and lots love to you.x
Jo, good luck with those follies. What a bumper crop.
Caz, have lost track of things lately, where are you with your treatment. Did you say that you have 3 eggs, after one ovary didn't drop! If I've got that right, when will you go for ET? You don't seem to be on our list at the moment.
Jules, any news?
Hey Kat, sending you lots of love.
Hi to everyone else I have missed. Take a few days away for whatever, and it is so hard to get back in the loop. Sending love and PMA to all out there.

Tammy, sorry about your BFN, I really am. Major drag. Maybe you'll try your frosties like Debra and Lisa - you just never know. I know you'd prepared yourself for the neg but it's still a wretched blow when it comes, I know so well. Thoughts with you, and hope for the next move, when it comes. Also, yes, Elena is a name full of light and hope.
Bev, great to hear from you. You've got to wait til day 19, have I got that right?
Brave people on this list - very brave and positive and strong, but feeling it all as well.

Sorry not been around much. Have been going to interviews. Which was far easier than this roller coaster.
Lara all the best for your scan, lets hope the picture is a truely wonderful one.
Tammy so sorry to hear of your BFN. I really hoped that with 5 at least one would have become comfy. Glad you are still going for adoption and Elena sounds fantastic. Take a little time and then try your frostys, I sure would.
Caz I had Menpur 600 and didnt have a good response but I think thats just me. I have one ovary that is difficult to get to, a result of a c-section & bowel opp producting too much scar tissue. Hope your cycle goes better than mine and that a big smile is due your way.
Jo fantastic crop good luck with the follies hope you have a big smile soon too.
Debra glad you are feeling better and good luck with your FET. I think I would take same route. I am sure we will give one go at donor and then seek closure.
Lisa so glad you are looking forward hope the time passes fast and that you have good news soon.
Bev Kiev sounds great could do with a few pointers as I think we will go down this route. Is Kiev cheaper than Spain. We have info re Barcelona.
Best of luck and hope the days pass quickly to your stims.
Anna how are you?
PMA to all and sorry if I missed anyone.
Regards
Gail
