Kala, I have a cough too and it is making me very nervous with all the strain of coughing. What did your Dr. tell you to do? Can you take anything?

lisa-this is one of the worst colds i have ever had....between the coughing and sneezing and blowing my nose...im worried that it might hurt my growing baby too. The doctor assured me that nothing good hurt it. He or she is nice and cozy and growing everyday. The dr. said all I can do is use a humidifier, Netti Pot and take tylonol if needed. A friend told me to take Vics Vapor rub and that would be ok. THe dr talked about antibiotics...but I absolutely refused. I just got off the phone with DH and was crying my eyes out. I want him home so bad but I have to wait 1 1/2 hours

Thanks Kala. I am actully pretty surprised to be BFP since I was coughing so much during the 2ww. DH admitted last night that he thought the same thing even though he told me had had such a good feeling about things to keep up the PMA. (He likes to use my abreviations now. I should tell him BFP.) Anyway, he hates coughing and actually he never coughs, so he is very frustrated by my coughing. I'm so glad to hear your Dr. doesn't think it can harm anything. I kinda thought of it as morning sickness and heaving, and that doesn't do anything. I've been using the netti pot and trying not to cough. Mine is that tickley cough. I guess that's all I can do.

Congrats to your DH coming home soon.

Hi everyone!
Sorry once again for being MIA. Ever since I went back to work, I can't keep up with anything. By Beta was a BFN on Monday. I'm glad I POAS so I was able to be prepared for the results. AF came the very next day and I am already on my 3rd cycle in as many months. We decided to try Follistim and menopur to see if it would do the trick. I already have a 10.5 on one side and some small on each side too. I'm hoping we don't end up with a dominant follicle again, cuz switching to IUI's is out for us. We can't use BCP which help control dominant follicles because of my low ovarian reserve, so not so sure what to do next if this cycle makes another dominant follicle.
I'm so sorry for no personals again today. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
For all the BFP with AWESOME beta's, I'm so truly happy for you!

For those with BFN, our time will come. I know it.

I POAS this morning and NO line....I guess I had high hopes for this canceled cycle turning into IUI but I am now looking forward to starting the next cycle. I go in for b/w on Monday so that will be when I can officially go off prog if it is in fact a BFP

Hey ladies, sorry to crash your thread, but I've been keeping up with your stories.

I wanted to respond to lisa about the coughing. I just got over the most horrific virus (it turns out I had three different consecutive ones!), and I had the worst, non-stop coughing EVER!!! I was told by my OB that Robitussin (just plain Robitussin) was safe, but it did not do the trick at all. My regular doctor had me call my OB after a week to have him call in something for me, and he called in prescription cough syrup with codeine, which worked much better. BUT I was in my 2nd trimester. With you in your 1st, I don't know if you could take a prescription. Call your OB (or have your regular doctor call) and see what can be done. And to others of you who are sick and worrying, I too was scared to death that my violent coughing was going to harm my baby, but no, all was well. They really are well-protected in there!
