No I will not separate them. Honestly there is just no room plus I do not want them to get used to it. I mean they are pretty used to one another when they cry it is just nap time that I may eventually separate them when we get a house. Night time they are ok at though.

We have a Montesori schools here...they are expensive though!

I don't get it...I don't keep up and then I realize that Tolbee is going to give birth in May, and Kholtan, you are 18 weeks along...
That is such lovely, joyful news for you both!!!

No challenger programs in the D.C. area...
I think the education type of decisions are incredibly difficult to make...I know they will be here in the District, with private schools as our first option...and those are difficult to get into...the better ones, at least!

My twins will be 10 mos on Tuesday...where does the time go? They are crawling and standing and trying to climb...yikes.
My daugher is so even...always smiling, my son is a BOY...wears his heart on his sleeve and wants mommy to hold him. A lot...he is a lover boy...
wishing you all well!

The girls are 6 months on the 5th...it is odd because I still think of them as little babies but they are not! 15 lbs and 14 1/2 lbs big! 23 inches long. We are getting their pictures done on Sat so that will be interesting to see if they can get better shots since they can sit up more on their own. Brooke is really trying to crawl. I put her down and she lifts up her head and just tries to scoot. Something so small trying to move is too cute.

They are starting to get a little bit better with being sick. Brooke was up a lot last night. They are napping better though today! They are not waking up all of the time and sleeping the whole 2 hours! It is nice because I got a good nap in this morning!

Hi Woodcilff! -- Good to hear from you. Yours is 10 month already? Wow, it just seems like yesterday you had them as newborns. Thanks! I am excited have another one but scared at the same time! My son also is very much a huggable guy who makes the cutest lower-lip-sticking-out face before he cries. My daughter is a happy go luck type and always on the go. Fun to see those personality differences.

Suga -- you sound really happy in the last few posts! My kids are still cold free but I think they are teething. Aly didn't nap much yesterday about only 30 mins and Noah skipped the afternoon nap. Hope they keep the good naps streak going for you. I love it when my kids good naps. It definitely does affect my mood.

Well, gotta bathe my babies tonight, it's the bath night I dread! I am still bathing them in the infant tub thing. When did you guys move on to the big tub? I am afraid they'll try to stand and hit their head when falling. But they are definitely outgrowing their little infant tub. With Sean, I used the bath sitter chair thing but with twins what to do?

Anyways, have a good evening ladies! Oh and it looks like our C-section is on 4/27! I picked the dates because Sean's is on 2/27 and easier to remember!

Tolbee--we did use the little bath seats for the kids. But, DH and I ALWAYS bathe them together at the same time....The seats are not fail safe, and I'm a worry wart around water. I can't remember exactly when we went to the big bath tub, but I'm thinking around 6 or 7 months? Maybe?

Kimi~ We went to the tub around 10-11 months. My kids fit in the baby tub together until that point and then we bit the bullet and went to the tub. I bought one of those matts to stop them from sliding and that helped but wehave had our fare share of bumps in there. I'm a nervous nellie with water as well but my kids either want to play forever in there or get out right away. Good luck! I am super excited for teh new baby! Any closer on names?

Twinmommy~ Who knew sleep was so great??? So crazy they are almost 6 months!!! Seroiusly think some one is messing with time!

Kim~ Anything new and exciting? Thanks for the input on the school. Open house is Thursday so I'll have to report back. I know that traditional education is everywhere but it has different names all over. The IB program is the high school version here and out east but not sure what they call K-8?? What a leg up you and twinmommy have being teachers!

Woodcliff! So nice to hear from you. Your pics are so great to keep up on in your blog! Has the city re-cooped from the inaguration?

Over here, we had a house guest all weekend and that kept us pretty busy. Luckily she LOVES the babies, and babies in general, so my kids were showered with lovin' all weekend. Sadly, this little twin girl that I only read about in blogs(it's a crazy, feel like you know people when you don't world) passed away from cancer Friday. For some reason I can't even talk about it w/o crying and it just has oddly deeply upset me. I know I am pg and all but it just has made me so sad to think of a twin minus their other half. Kind of look at my kids bond a little different now and appreciate it so much more. No one has to comment on this I just felt the need to share that. Sad thought.

I'm off to bed~ finally! :D

Tolbee/Kimi I am so excited for you and for Kholtan (tried to find your blog, but it would not come up...thank you for your comments re: my family blog!)...I just can't imagine what the two of you are going through...and am so, so happy for you both.

It sure is fun to see the personality differences...

I am still wimping out in the 'baby blow up with the squeaky duckie' bath tub...only bathing one at a time...
I have not graduated to the 'big tub'..
my babies are way too active for me to keep up! One face plant in the tub (both have done it) and into the water is enough to make me frightened of the water! (I was sitting RIGHT THERE when they both did it!!!!)

Not to mention the HARD spots in a bathroom...ie: little boy bonked his head on the toilet while I was, again, right there!...oy.

Love to you all...

Kholtan, I meant to say how sorry I am re: the twin who is no longer here..it kills me to think of that. On the TWINS board, a woman lost her identical twin son at 5 mos to SIDS...it still breaks my heart to think of it.

I think once you have twins, the thought of one not being here is unbearable.

Wishing you and Tolbee healthy pregnancies! You are both SO LUCKY ... (I know, I know, tired too I bet!)

I am curious about this bath thing. How did you do two at a time in the little bath tub? I do one at a time in there. I can not put them in the big tub yet because they do not sit up on their own yet and they would, well, probably drown with me tending to the other and the other one just trying to swim. I can not wait till they can sit up on their own though and can take a bath together. But if I could figure out two at a time in the small one that may make it easier and shorter at night...

Twinmommy~ My tub had enough space to sit one one the side that reclines and the other in the more open part. My kids were so little for so long that it was easy. I even put the tub over the kitchen sink to do it. Then when they could sit up, we hit the tub and jsut put one of those non-slip pads down that are kind of cushioned. Don't get me wrong, we have had slips and bangs here and there but over all no damage. My kids cried to get in with the other baby when I tried it one at a time so that didn't work for me at all. They adjusted fast though.

Woodcliff~ Thanks for your well wishes! Right now I'm not too tired but all of the sudden I have started to show so at least people may know I'm pg and not just a big beer gal! Not sure why the blog page wasn't working? hmmmm??? Loved your wedding pics too! Beautiful dress!
The family with the twin. . ugh! Cannot imagine but it just saddened more than I would have thought. Sometimes those things really put things into a clearer perspective for us even if we thought we had a decent one already. What a hard road.

We did a major park tour taday and the kids are wiped out! The weather has been so beautiful and we are expecting more of the same! YEAH!!!! The babies love being outside so hopefully this will last for a while!
Better run! Night everyone!

Hey girls....been super busy around here! Ellie and Braeden are busting down the walls of this house! Spring can't get here fast enough....They started their new day care (just 2 mornings/week), and so far so good. Of course, we've had some tears at drop off time, but their teacher says they've been great! Ellie cried when I picked her up on Monday because she didn't want to leave! Ahem.....

Tolbee and Woodcliff...what are your blog addresses? Can you send them my way? I have Kholtan's. Anyone else have a blog? I'd love to see them. Just send me a private message with your address. I'll check them out! Maybe I'll start a blog someday....when they're in college!

Kholtan and Woodcliff--saw your blogs! Great pics! Kholtan, you've inspired me...I'm thinking we'll have to head to Chuck E Cheese this weekend! (I'm sure I"ll see a hundred kids I know from school--ha ha!).

Oh, funny story--some nights we let the kids have "nekked time" to give them a little diaper break (hoping to encourage the love of that feeling...and maybe some potty training?). Usually, they run around squealing with delight...especially B. Well, last night he stopped right in the middle of the living room---and let the hose loose! Yes, my dear son PEED in the middle of the living room! Ellie ran over and was pointing and going "uh-oh, uh-oh"...even the dog ran over to see what the heck was going on! Then, B, started crying...he was a little scared, I think! DH swears that there will be no more "nekked time"....but I know better!

Hi Girls,

I finally have a moment to type this note. It's been crazily busy these days especially because I've decided to cook at least two vegetable dishes for dinner. And then the twins, they eat more solid now so I have to prepare something for them, too. So, more work for me these days.

Thanks for the bath advise Kim, Kimberly and Woodcliff. I am also very nervous about going to big tub especially because there are two of them! I think I will stick to the little infant tub for now at the kitchen sink. That way it only takes a few mins to bathe them also. But must admit, they are bursting out of the infant tub.

Kim, we are in the middle of potty training Sean. My son actually enjoys peeing standing so letting him run around naked is going to be be interesting for us. They say girls get trained sooner than boys so it will be interesting how it works out in twins. You were saying Ellie is bigger than Braeden. Guess what, my Alyson has gotten much bigger than Noah now. Suddenly, Noah looks very small. Poor Noah gets bothered by Aly all the time also because Aly moves quicker than Noah. Hey, I am looking forward to seeing your blog. I will send mine to you.

Kimberly -- sounds like you have a big weekend plans. Funny, I've never been to McCall until last summer when we drove by on the way to Boise. Beautiful place! Very Idahoish. By the way, we are planning another trip to Boise this Aug if the baby is well. Call us crazy, because we are. But we do have certain responsibility to introduce the new baby to Mike's family. I do enjoy though crossing over the Cascades and feel the heat cooking my skin! Enjoy your weekend. Stay warm!

Twinmommy -- how are you doing? Did you go to the Refulx doctor? Hope it went well if you did. Someone from N Florida was saying it wa 19 F one day over there. Is it true? Brrr.. that's cold! Having kids in cold weather is hard. For now your girls are still little but once they can walk, they probably want to play outside a lot. Over here we have the notorious rain all fall, winter and srping so not much options for us in terms of outdoor activities during those seasons... How's their solid going?

Well, I suppose I need to start cooking while the twins nap. I am not very motivated today. I bought Laura's Lean Beef (8% fat) for $2 per packet! I bought all of them on the shelf at Albertsons. So, I guess I will be cooking something with it today.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Kimi
