Klinger; I would have been completely freaked out, so there's no reason to feel silly. I'm so happy that your spotting has decreased! Are you getting another ultrasound soon?

**just noticed the notices*** Glad you are getting your U/S on the 29th but it must seem a lifetime away!!
Thanks Sonya! I've got my 4th beta tomorrow and my first u/s this Thursday 11/18 so only a few more day to wait. (I think Crystal has the long wait till the 29th.) I'll be exactly 6 weeks on Thursday so hoping we're we get a good look. And I'm glad your u/s is only a few sleeps away! Hoping we both have AWESOME u/s this week!!
Of all people, why do I keep getting you mixed up on the personals?? Okay, the 18th is MUCH more acceptable!! I still had to wait an extra week though, which I feel is completely unfair. :( hehe I also hope you have the very best of news - our life is going to change yet again in a matter of days. How are your symptoms?

I don't have a lot except heightened sense of smell, some breast tenderness (comes and goes), abdominal tightness/pulling, some small waves of nausea. Even the lower back pain has subsided for the most part.

out of 22 eggs, 18 were mature, & 5 fertilized!!! i'm cautiously optimistic. that is the most we've ever had fertilize. the nurse couldn't tell the quality of fertilization, but just the fact that 5 fertilized, is good news.

et is set for tuesday at 10:30. i have to be there at 10. i'll be taking that day & the next day off. pio injections start tonight. i'm on doxycycline (antibiotic) & methylprednisone (steroid), & the steroid is making me pee every half hour, lol! we may transfer 3, depending on quality!

i'm doing lots of praying & positive thinking & visualization.....

I have to ask you this, my RE called me today and said our embryo did not freeze because it had some - insert complicated term here - but that the good news is that he was the poorest one of the 5 (we put in 4) and he made it to blast with no problem so she thinks the other ones would have made blasts too. Now here is the weird thing. She asked me:
"Do you have any pregnancy symptoms, you would know since you were pregnant with IVF before" My transfer was Tuesday and it was 7DPO she asked, is that weird? There is no way I would have symptoms yet, the baby was not even attached. I said I was tired and in a fog from the progesterone. I do have some peculiar symptoms but they don't come until later. She did say everything went so well and it looks good for a BFP!
Sorry to quote myself but I find that we are so active here that posts go to the back and I was hoping for some input!!! :)

Rio-I POAS 8dpo and 9po both were faint positives...both in afternoon pee. Actually the pee from 9dpo (morning was negative) and afternoon..faint and then 10dpo BFN and today BFN. My beta is tomorrow...not looking good!

So YES start testing that way you know if the trigger is out of your system...bc I am completely confused now..unless it took 11 days for my trigger to disappear? or something else happened..IDK but at 7dpo you know it would be too soon for embryo and most likely trigger. But remember ONCE YOU START.......YOU CANT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck..talk to Sonya she is the BEST!

I need advice!!!

I haven't gotten a call back from my RE office about my fert rate yet. They have always been so good about getting back to me , but I know that they are already closed for the day (at 1PM). Is it ok to call the "emergency line" and ask for results??? I don't want to keep them from someone in a true emergency situation, but I am dying here!!!

What would you do????

well, i know at my clinic the nurses stay after it closes, & make phone calls then. i would wait a little while longer, but if they don't call back, i'd definitely call.

good luck!

That and having just a few symptoms has me rather worried now. To top it off, I noticed that I'm not peeing more than usual, and yesterday I had more energy and was in a fairly good mood all day. Ugh. I know there are a ton of women whom pregnancy agrees with, I'm hoping I'm one of them.

Honestly there's a bit of a sick feeling that something's happened. Im tempted to get another beta on Monday but I'm rather terrified at the same time.
Sonya,

The same thing happened to me. I did another Early response test and the line was lighter. That's right before I heard the heartbeat. As you know, clinically, HCG levels vary during all hours of the day. I really don't have very many symptoms either, Sonya. I have bouts of nausea (very seldom and not very strong) but other than being extra tired, I feel great! :D I know that it is difficult to not look into every symptom but many women have very pleasant pregnancies. Just have faith. I think everything is fine and your body is smoothing out after all the injections and medications. I was in a great mood yesterday too. I think that we are fine and pregnancy is agreeing with us!!! :D :D

Can't wait to hear about your u/s!!!!

So I got my call, but it was not good news. Only 1 egg fertilized. I had a feeling this cycle was off. Anyway, they asked me to come in and transfer tomorrow. I'm not sure its even worth it. Out of 18 follicles, 10 were retrieved, and 1 fertilized. I can't imagine that it will be of any good quality.

I'm devastated. Any advice on whether to transfer the one or let it go and try again in a couple of months?

Sorry sorry sorry Rio!!! It's odd that your RE asked you that, I agree!! I'm glad she gave you some hope, though. Unlike my ratty clinic nurse  The trigger should JUST be gone from your system. I had a line at 7DPO, very very very faint at 8DPO and darker on 9DPO. Take it easy for the first three months at least - just let things settle in and don't take any chances. No vacuuming, no reaching for high things, no running, no chandelier sex..... I'm excited to see your BFP - have your camera ready to take pics to share - we LOVE hpt pics!!!

I'm sorry that you are so down... but what to do with that one emby if you don't transfer it? Just.. let it go? You never, ever, ever know and I have heard of tons of BFP's from one embryo! It only has to be 'good' quality to have a good chance. You might not have as high of odds if you had more eggs to choose from, but you don't... and so this embryo is your BEST chance. I vote to transfer. (((BIG HUGS)))

Hi All,

I came across your board a couple weeks ago, but I was in an extremely nervous place so I didn't write anything. A lot of you were in the same ER/ET (10/14; 10/19) timeframe as me so I was getting advice from (and calmed down by) your posts. So, yes, that makes me a huge lurker 8) . Anyways, done lurking now because I see a couple of you (Kynlee and Anna) are worried you are late for a BFP. I NEVER got a BFP with my early strips. I told my nurse I didn't even want to do the blood test because the urine was still BFN that morning. Hot damn, my first beta at 9dp5dt was a 32. I will call it a P since it was low enough to still scare me and felt nothing like a BFp. Needless to say, I was soooo worried it would not double properly. I said my prayers and freaked out every minute until it was over 1,000 (32, 78, 248, 2120, 5148). I cried on Friday when we saw a little HB on our first ultrasound at 6w1d. My doc said I wouldn't get to keep looking at it if I couldn't hold still cause I was heaving with tears. So... just because you don't have an early BFP does not mean you will not have one!

Klinger, I had some light brown spotting last Sunday and this past Friday. I also have been cramping sporatically. Sunday I got a beta to make sure all was ok, and it was sky high (for me). I coincidentally had my ultrasound scheduled the next day of cramping, and I had an HB. It doesn't have to be the beginning of the end. This is my first BFP so I can't even imagine what you have gone through previously. But it can be normal so I'm thinking about you until you get confirmation that you guys are ok.

ester - WOO-HOO for your 5!! I know you were saying the most you've ever had fertilize was 2 so 5 is such great news!!

Sonya - It's ok - there's so many ladies on this list now I feel like I'm constantly mixing people up. Still not much in the way of symptoms here either. My waves of queasiness come and go, I get the pinchy/pully feelings down in the uterus area, and over the last couple days my boobs have gotten a bit sore but that's it. I'm not tired and I'm not peeing all the time. Maybe my lack of symptoms this time means this one is going to work! :D

rio - can't wait to hear you have your BFP!

cheri - Sending you huge hugs right now. I'm so sorry that only 1 fertilized. Whatever you and DH decide to do, we'll be here to offer support, cheers, and a place to vent - whatever you need!

Lauren - I'm hoping you're going to get wonderful news at your beta tomorrow! Those sticks can be evil and wrong so I'm still hoping for you!

annashope - While blue-dye tests seem more prone to show false positives, 4 of them seems really unlikely. So I'm thinking you're going to have some good news!

osi - I'm so sorry you're feeling depressed. My heart was just breaking reading your post. Do you have someone close to you that you can talk to about things to help you get through this difficult time? Sending you huge hugs and I truly hope that December's FET brings you that baby you've been waiting so long for.

cass - what a wonderful story!! That will bring tons of hope to those who may not get that BFP prior to beta! And to have seen the heartbeat...so exciting! Thank you too for telling me about your spotting. If mine happens again, I just have to remember that it can be normal and it doesn't have to mean the beginning of the end. Thank you!
