Stephanie - Ethan and Angelina are absolutely gorgeous!!! Congratulations!! I know you and DH are just beside yourself in joy. :) :) :) :)

Katie - how's it going??? EDD is rapidly approaching, my friend. How are you feeling?!!!?!

hope things are going smoothly with everyone else - I'm sorry I've been SO bad with keeping up. I just don't know where you all get the energy. I will keep checking in as much as possible tho. Looking forward to seeing tons more beautiful baby pics out there!!!

things are going well for us. showing no signs of coming on her own, we're still sticking with the plan of C-section on 11/3 at 9am. Working on schedules now for family to take care of DS and to make sure they know how to get to the hospital and maps so they don't get lost inside it - it's dreadfully difficult to navigate in this crazy hospital. every time i go there to visit someone i get lost. trying to get my gifts in order for baby from DS and vice versa. nursery is finally starting to take some shape. still tons of other furniture in the center of the room, but the walls are painted (lime green, took only 1 of the 4 stupid gallons we bought... any one in need of lime green paint with primer inside?!) and my mom finished the curtains. opted for the cute IKEA children's fabric rather than the Eric Carle fabric - just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for the fabric! have 4 paintings completed and almost done with the fabric/needlepoint hoop hangings... i am working 4 days next week and then I'm done. so i'll have a few more days to finish up and spend some quality time with DS before he becomes a big brother. whew.

hugs & love to each of you!!!

Hope - Glad to hear things are falling into place. Not too much longer until you have your little miracle in your arms. Wow, everyone is just getting so close. As long as it seems to have gotten here, things sure are moving fast all of a sudden aren't they? :)

Angela - Darn those cramps. I am glad they went away, but talking to your OB about it isn't a bad idea. Half days sounds like a good thing and better for you.

Pa - Can't wait to hear how your shower goes. My friend has one the same day and I am not sure yet if I will be able to go. Can't exactly take the twins and I'm still healing. I am helping out with it though the best I can. I feel so bad that her host dropped out last minute. Anyway, good luck, have fun and then relax. :)

Katie - Where does the time fly? Your ticker might be off by a little due to a site glitch. I had the same thing happen to me before. It corrected itself in a day or two. Now we are all just waiting for you to pop. lol Alex is loving her baby brother and sister but too nervous now to actually help. Not that I ask her too do anything with them, but she is on top of helping get me things when my hands are full so it all works out. :)

Bei - You are very welcome. I am glad I could help, even if just a little bit.

AFM - Sorry I am making this short, but I am so tired. lol Andrew took the babies to the doctors today and convinced me to stay and get some sleep. Boy did that feel good! I don't think that I slept that soundly in 10 months. :) Angelina did great! Passed with flying colors, she gained 2oz in 2 days. We weren't really doing anything different either so I guess the weight loss was just a fluke? Eh, either way we finally got cleared and don't have to go back. Well, not until Ethan's u/s appt. Since he was pulled out breech they want to make sure his hips are ok. I can tell they are, but whatever they say right. lol Anyway.. I completely spaced it yesterday... I wanted to mention Andrew's unit. They denied his leave. They are only letting him take his 10 days, not the extra 20. The commander says that he has had enough time off. I am livid! Each time I need him more and more for something, the more and more they take him away. Home from the hospital they make him go to work for half days, come home from major surgery with twins, they take him away all damn day! I really hate this!! Nothing else to really say at this point unless everyone cares to hear me vent about how much I hate his unit. Take care baby mamas! I will be back often to check on when Savannah decides to come out and play and everyone else's progress. Much love!

Lightning quick post from me as George has been a grumpy baby the last few days and needs a lot of distracting at the moment, otherwise there's a lot of shouting and screaming! I think he's having his six week growth spurt 10 days early as he seems to want to feed ALL the time at the moment! I just wanted to check in and let you know that he's still doing well weight-wise, and weighed in at 10lbs 10oz yesterday (at 4 wks 5 days old). I also wanted to attach a couple of recent photos, taken at 4 weeks, as I'm conscious that I haven't posted any since the early days. He's smiling a fair amount now, but it's difficult to catch on camera. He's looking happy in the first photo, but serious/grumpy in the second (it had probably been a whole hour since his last feed and he wasn't in the mood to play model!!).

Take care everyone, I'm still keeping up with all your news as best I can. I'm watching out for your news, Katie!!!

Photobucket is being weird, and keeps chopping the top of George's head off in the first photo, or at least that's how the picture appears on my screen! I've given up trying to reattach it as he's now screaming for food/entertainment/something - I can only cope with one thing at a time...

Oh, George is really cute! His eyes are very impressive that touches our hearts! The picture says- he barely talks this time- but the baby will be the cutest one after few years from now.

Steph - YAY for Angelina gaining weight! Andrew is so wonderful for taking them to the peds office so you could sleep. I bet that felt like heaven!! I don't know why I still get surprised when I hear how awful his unit is being about the time off. I mean seriously?? I wonder what the deal is. Does his commander just not like him, not like kids, what? UGH!!

Angela - If you are wearing out easily, I would definitely ask your OB to recommend you for 1/2 days. You've come so far with this pregnancy, there is no sense in pushing yourself now. BTW, I noticed your ticker...that's how far along my friend was when she had her twins and they are great now! Just thought I would share :D

Katie - YOU ARE SOOOO CLOSE!!! I cannot WAIT until we get the update that Savannah is here!! How are you feeling?

Claudia - Wow, that fall is so scary!! If Flick was moving around I'm sure you're golden. How are you feeling now?

Hazel - George is so cute! almost 11 pounds already?!! Can you believe that Scarlett was only 12.5 pounds when we got her at 6 months?? She was sooooo tiny, DH thought he was going to break her!

PA - Have fun at your shower this weekend!!

Sara - How are you feeling? Grrr, I hope they keep your c/s for the 29th! What is that about, changing it on you? COME ON PEOPLE!!

AFM - Yesterday was pretty eventful. As you know I was getting really uncomfortable and was in a lot of pain. Well, Wednesday night I had a really difficult night, every time I moved I was in pain, and it kept getting worse. I called my OB yesterday morning to see what I could take for it, but he sent me to the hospital instead. After being on the monitors for awhile they saw I was having a lot of contractions. They really didn't hurt because I was just in constant pain from all of the pelvic pressure. Got an IV, some Visteral for the contractions, and was 1-2cm. They kept me another two hours to see if I was dilating anymore, but thankfully not. Had I been, they would have admitted me. I still had contractions, but there was no pattern, so they sent me home with a script for Visteral and I have to be on stricter bed rest. So basically I'm homebound from here on out. That's ok, the pressure I've been having makes me not want to do anything! If I start having more contractions than normal, then I'll see my OB on Monday (or have to go back to triage if it's over the weekend), but hopefully I'll be ok until my appt on Tuesday. So, I'll be interested to see what happens! Not thinking I'm going to make it to my c/s, but hopefully at least another 1 1/2 weeks so I can hit 36 weeks.

Bei - Thanks honey, I'm due on Sunday but have a feeling we'll be late :? How are you feeling twin mama?

PA - Happy 3rd Anniversary!!! Have a great shower weekend and enjoy time spent with your friends! And, yes, the 4 months left will truly fly by!

Angela - Oh, honey please take it easier. If your job would allow you to do just 1/2 days I think that would be a great idea. And not to scare you but keep in mind that the discomforts just get worse the farther along you get. Hope they'll let you do that. and, yes, ummm silly DH! if you really want to see how many times a pg lady has to stop on a long car trip...

Hope - Me too, no signs of labor at all- sigh. Whew, glad you're getting the nursery finished and just in time too!

Steph - Aw that was so sweet of Andrew to take the babies to the Dr for you, so you could rest. I thought that Angelina wouldnt have a problem regaining weight, she just has a dainty appetite is all! And I'm sure she'll catch up quick, but Ethan is a good eater isnt he? boys and their bellies! lol.
Aw Steph, you've got to be kidding WTH??? Why is his command so ass backwards all the time??? Umm, gee 2 newborn twins and a wife recovering from major abdominal surgery?? umm, sure who needs time off to take care of his family?? Good Lord that is the kind of BS that will drive someone crazy! is there any recourse on that decision? Grrr! so does that mean that he is halfway done with his leave time already?? Argh I hate the idea of him going back full time before you're healed properly, you're so right - SHOCK COLLARS PLEASE!! ummm, me? yes, maam I'm ready to pop like a balloon! sigh - much love xoxoxo

Hazel - Aw, your George is such a cutie! I cant believe that he's 10lbs 10oz already - he's BIG George now! Glad to see that you both are having fun and getting all settled into a routine. bet he'll sleep almost through the night soon! Love the pics and cant wait to have some of Savannah - whenever she decideds to come out that is.. - much love honey - xoxo

Babyluv - Aw honey I'm sorry that you're having a rough few last weeks, its almost over. I know how that pressure feels and you've got it twice as bad with two in there. You're so close to the finish line, can you just hang on for another 10 days? I know being on bed rest sucks, but its got to relieve some of that pressure you're feeling lately. You can do this! Thank god for you Mom being able to care for Alex & Scarlett, I cant imagine how you could have gotten through this without her! be strong honey - xoxo

Gi - Where are you mama? miss you lots!

AFM - I'm still waiting for something to happen and it doesnt look like anything will today, I feel pretty darn good considering how huge I am now! I changed my u/s & OB appt for tues instead because hopefully this will be my last appt, and it was with the comedian OB and I just didnt want him to be the one to to choose a date to induce ( if need be) but it sure is looking that way lately. So tues I'll see the HR OB who is now my favorite, I dont need an OB to be super friendly, but answering questions is way more important to me, so I like him alot now. I hate to say this after hearing Steph's bad news about leave time, but Chris has the kind of union that if you dont use your vacation time by the end of the year you will lose it, so he "cashed" it in and will be home for almost 3 weeks. Now if only the baby would show up... I'll post more later,we're off to run errands and walk like crazy, hopefully it will help?
hugs & prayers to us all - xoxoxo

Hazel-I could just kiss that cute little face all day!!! George is just so beautiful

Katie-Are the walks helping?! I've got my fingers, toes, legs, and arms all crossed for you! Come on Savannah-it's fun out here

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weekend. My DH is coming to have "date day" with me so I'm going to get spruced up (well, as much as I can) since I haven't attempted to fix my hair or put on make-up in over a week! I'm a scary sight-like I'm wearing my homeless rag-a-muffin Halloween costume all the time! I'm counting down the days til Thursday when I get the final call on due date and see how the babies have grown.

Love to you all! Take care,

Stephanie – I am so glad that you were able to get some sleep while Andrew went to the pediatrician’s office! Yeah for Angelina gaining weight!

I can’t believe they denied Andrew’s leave!!! What the he**? I am sorry that they are so insensitive and did not extend his leave. Oh, check your inbox … one more message for you.

Hazel – George is absolutely adorable. I think he looks so much like you as you are just beautiful! I hope things are going well with you and your DH also. I can’t believe it’s been over 4 weeks already!

Babyluv – Thank you so much for telling me about your friend … that made me feel a lot better. I even told my DH and he was happy to hear that! I am so sorry that you are in so much pain but how you described it reminds me so much of how I feel once I come home from work! So now I will be very cautious and really pay attention to those aches and pains! I surely hope your contractions don’t increase and you can hold off for a little bit longer but you are almost 35 weeks, which is great news!

Katie – You are so right about the discomfort getting worse as I progress in my pregnancy! I can’t believe how uncomfortable I am now even compared to just a couple of weeks ago! Oh I am so happy that Chris has almost 3 weeks off from work; that is fantastic news! So does that mean he is off right now or does that start after Savannah is born?

Gi – I am so glad that your mom was able to post for you because I was beginning to worry about you! I am so glad that you are doing well and it was just an internet issue. I hate it when my internet is down because I feel so disconnected from the world!

Sara – Date day sounds fabulous! I really hope you two are able to get some much needed time together! I know you are super anxious to for Thursday to get here and so are we so we will finally get to see the twins after they set a definite date…

AFM – We made it to our destination last night like I posted before and I didn’t have to go to the bathroom every five minutes like I thought I would. That is probably because I didn’t get a chance to drink a lot of fluid until I got up here because of working late on Friday. I have spent all morning relaxing and sleeping in … the bed is so comfortable! Well, I hope you ladies have a great Saturday and I will chat with everyone tomorrow!

Gi - Aw thanks for updating for Gina, Joan. I was getting a little concerned where she was. You must be so excited to know that you'll be meeting Kayla soon! You get to hold your grandbaby in a few more weeks! I've been telling Savannah to hurry up and come out, but so far she's not having any of it, but I hope its soon. much love to you both - & J too! - xoxoxo

Angela - Have a safe trip and try to get to relax some this weekend. Enjoy!

Sara - Enjoy your date with your DH, and I hope that you get your official date ( that stays that way) soon. And, no so far the walks havent been helping at all, they only seem to make me tired and my hips more sore - sigh. Try to get some extra sleep if you can, we're gonna need it! - xoxo

Steph - Hows it going twin mama? Are those babies running the whole house yet? Hope that you're feeling better and healing quickly. Kiss those gorgeous babies for me - xoxoxo

AFM - I'm still here and still waiting.. I feel good but nothing seems to be starting yet. If I make it tues OB appt I will see what he thinks and ask if its true that it hurts more to be induced, although at this point, it really doesnt matter if it hurts more or not - its time. Well as of tomorrow its officially time lol. I walked everywhere yesterday and all that happened was I was exhausted. I've been on my feet all day today and nothing. I hope that she's not too cozy in there
I sure never would have thought that I'd be eager to feel contractions, but ummm, yes please, bring them on - I'm ready, now if only she was too, right? hee hee
love to you all - xoxo

Katie - So damn close, can almost smell the sweat of labor. lol Being induced "can" be more painful. Don't worry though, they should monitor your closely to make sure that it doesn't. The reason is can hurt more is because some people react differently to the pitocin and dosage. Some women will experience too many hard contractions, this makes it so the uterus doesn't have time to rest and of course that can be painful. Even the BH that I would get, a few would seem to last 5 minutes long. Although they weren't really hard, they still weren't fun to experience. lol Anyway, all they do is lower the dosage IF something like that happens. It is almost better if you are looking to get labor done and over with faster. Many times it speeds up the process since going through labor on your own may take a while. I think with Alex, thanks to pitocin, I only had maybe 5 hours of labor, only 30 minutes of really hard labor before she decided to come in a quick like hurry. :) The only thing I didn't like (at the time) was I wanted the epidural and labor went so fast that they didn't get to the room in time. I hope you have a smooth labor and delivery. I know you say you are a big baby when it comes to pain so don't be afraid to ask for the epidural if you want to. Do you have a set birth plan? Come on Savannah, don't take about George, Ethan and Angelina! Come on out, meet the world and let mommy heal and rest! :)

Angela - Enjoy your time away! Glad the bed is nice and comfy, you need that right now! :) Take care and relax... you deserve it.

Gi/Joan - Thank you so much for letting us know she is doing well and thank you for the well wishes. It's so sweet that you check in on us! :)

Babyluv - My gosh, I am glad you have bought yourself some more time cooking them little girls! I am sure it is tough to take care of everything at home on bedrest. I really only had to do it for a week and Andrew let me rest where his family didn't. lol I was so tempted to clean up, one because things were a mess and not to "standards" and second things were out of place or not done correctly... again to my standards. lol Like how the t-towels were folded and put away. lol Just follow the rules the best you can and relax that uterus and tell those girls to behave and stay in the oven! :) With as conservative as your ob is, I am surprised that they didn't admit you for at least 24 hours so you could get betamethazone and mag sulfate just in case!

Hazel - George is simply gorgeous! Even without the top of his head in the first pic, you can see how sweet and perfect his smile is. Oh how you must be beaming... at least when he isn't fussing. lol I keep looking at Ethan and Angelina when they are in my arms and find myself telling them over and over how much I love them and kissing their soft little heads and faces as much as I can. :)

Pa - Hope you had a great shower and got many things you needed. Hopefully the flakey one didn't make a mess of things. :)

AFM - Must admit, the breastfeeding and pumping thing is wearing me down. I thought they said it would be easier?? I don't find it being that easy with two. More so, I can't stand how fast I get engorged. No fair! When not breastfeeding it hurts for a little while then you dry up. Me, I can't seem to get rid of the hardness in my boobs. Even when I pump and it seems I have gotten all I can out, a good portion is still hard and sore. I have to wear a bra at all times or my boobs feel like bowling balls and leak. I am happy with the feedings, I just don't like the way my boobs are reacting. lol The lactation specialist said that my boobs would feel normal... still waiting. Oh well, I will figure it out sooner or later. :) As for his leave, to answer some of you... Andrew will be going to try and respectfully talk sense into the commander. Otherwise he goes back on the 27th, two days before the twins' two week check up. That means I have to drag two babies to it by myself. FUN! Unless of course he gets through to the commander. He just had a baby himself, but 10 days was enough for him since his wife didn't have a c-section, therefore not cut hip to hip AND lets not forget they only had one baby! If I had one baby and a vajayjay birth then 10 days would be enough for us too. BLAH! Katie, we are in agreement... SHOCK COLLARS!!!!! Other than that, I went to my friend's shower today. I actually cooked for it, but it was two quick and easy things. Dip was hormel chili and velveta... and chicken tacos, just chicken and taco seasoning. How easy is that? Took my like 15 minutes. lol Anyway, I get there and everyone was amazed at how different I look 10 days post babies. I was looked at with jaws dropping and told how skinny I look. Feels really nice to hear that after being so big for so long. I am not back to normal yet, I sill have a swollen belly of course, but still felt great to hear the word skinny. :) So even though I lost more weight than I gained, I am not back into my skinny jeans yet. lol Ok ladies, trying to get the last feeding down Angelina, the picky eater. Check in later.... especially Katie! Come on Savannah! :)

Hi everyone -

Ok, so today is my due date, and umm, I guess Savannah either didnt get that memo, or just isnt interested. My ticker is a day fast for some reason. No signs of anything going on today either - so far. Chris was too funny this morning and woke me up say "today is the big day!" I couldnt help but laugh at the look on his face! I've been telling him for weeks now that babies do what they like and will arrive on their schedule - not ours. I guess he really thought that that she would come before the EDD so I had to send him out for shopping so I could have some peace. For the past few days every time he hears me say ow, he seems like he thinks we're off to the hospital - lol. He just keeps looking at me with this expectant look on his face, and usually it makes me laugh but I'm ready, Chris is seriously ready, the house is ready, the nursery has been ready - but Savannah? isnt. Ah, the waiting game continues. And we thought the waiting game ended when we got BFPs? haha. Hardly! Its been really helpful to have Chris home to do all the bending, lifting, dog walking, he's even been helping with cooking! But I have to say that he gets me wound up when he keeps asking (every 30 min!) if anythings going on labor wise - sigh. And i just keep repeating myself - "no, not yet". He found out that he does have to go in for a 18hr day on fri the 29th - so who would like to bet that Savannah decides that would be a good day to come out? As soon as he told me that my first thought was - yeah, thats when it will happen, ugh. And I still feel pretty good even considering that I was up like half the night thanks to reflux and her jumping on my baldder as usual. I remember the clock at 1:30, 3, 4:30, 5, 6, 7. I'm telling you its great practice for when the babies come home. Either that or its meant to exhaust us to the point of desparately wishing for labor pain! lol.

Steph - Oh honey I'm so happy to hear that you felt up to going to your friend's shower! And cooking too! Yay you're healing twin mama! It must have been really great to hear that you look skinny again and so soon after a c section is wonderful. I'll bet that you look a lot more like before pg than you realize. I know how hard it was on you, you must be thrilled to be feeling more like yourself (insert envy here!) Dont worry I think you'll be back in your skinny jeans real soon! I'll keep my fingers crossed that Andrew's commander gets it that a twin pg via c section is a lot more recovery than what his household just went through. I hope that he listens to what Andrew has to say and thinks before he answers. It drives me nuts when I hear things like "he's had enough time off already" umm, who's home with 2 brand new babies you guys or them? You know what I mean. I'd be concerned about you going from having him home and your incision healing nicely to having to do it all by yourself and rushing your healing - thats not good. Sorry to hear that you keep getting engorged quickly. Do you think that means you should add in some extra pumping times each day? maybe a warm shower would help too? and raising your fliud intake couldnt hurt either. Ha, yeah because you must have sooo much free time lately, right? Thanks for making me feel better about the induced labor ( if need be) I gotta say right now, it sounds fine to me! If I last until Tues appt, I get the HR OB (who actually answers my questions- yay!) so i'll be nagging him to death to set a date please! he did say that he wouldnt "torture me" ( his words) to go longer than 1 wk late, so lets get a move on. This is a small Catholic hospital with old school type L& D nurses, so I feel like I'll be pretty well looked after by them. And as far as the epidural? I have been drilling it into Chris that its his job to find an anesthesiologist and drag them to me if its taking too long - lol. Oh believe me I have no problem insisting on one if I feel like I cant take anymore pain. But, yes, I 'm hoping for a quick delivery too. We'll see soon enough. OK, I have probably another dumb baby question for you? If you use the Halo sleep sack you know that wearable baby blanket, do you still use a swaddling blanket underneath it? i know, dopey question, but its been bugging me since last night, and I cant find it on the halo package or in the baby 411 book. Ok, I'm off to heft my XL belly into the shower now. I swear that sitting forward at the computer desk starts to hurt after awhile  much love - xoxoxo
