deftonesmo - I hear you with not bearing the results... this is my 5th fresh cycle and I've always poased hoping to see the second line... but I've never seen it... so this time I've been too scared to not see it... I'm tired of all this... although I say this everytime... I really think if I don't see the + this time... I'm done and moving on... It's been 7 years...

rio - I like your attitude!!! just not sure I'll keep any PMA if I see snow white on my pee stick!!! You have a nice heritage background... but... how did you end up in rio???

The boards are very quiet... what's happening??? did everyone have a wonderful romantic friday evening and saturday morning is for resting??? hope you did...

AFM - My dh left for work early so I've been up for a while... the last 72hrs of the 2ww are getting to me... I'm now feeling very sad and thinking it didn't work... and no... I haven't poased.... will do it tomorrow... 14dpo... it'll be definite...

First of all - Thanks to everyone for the congrats! I know that I should take the advice that I always give which is to relax and enjoy. But somehow that's much harder to do than it is to say! I've worked so hard to get here that I'm going to concentrate on the fact that today I'm pregnant and for that I'm grateful. All of your warm wishes really touch my heart. Thank you all so much.

Kat - Hurray for AF! kittens are soooo cute! Enjoy him! Our puppy is now 3 years old. Sometimes I get sad that he isn't as 'curious' anymore, but he so much less destructive! Enjoy the 'kittenhood' because it'll be over too fast.

WaitingKay - When do you get your beta? I got my first BFP on a HPT at 12dpr - or 7dp5dt. Maybe you could take a pregnancy test at 9 or 10 days after 3dt, but that might still be too early.

Carol - I'm SOOOOO glad the stims are working! YAY!

Margi - 10 fertilized! Woohooo! That's better than my cycle -- nice going!

Anton - I take Orgalutran and yes, it's the same as Ganirelix. I'm so glad your cycle is going well. You too will be PUPO before you know it!

Tiger - OH MY! I'm so so sorry hon. One thing that I like about my clinic, is even if my cycle isn't going well, there are 6 nurses and all of them know me on sight. They all know my story and remember me, which is really nice. Maybe it's time to find a new clinic. I have no idea what went wrong, but it shouldn't. How awful. I definitely do NOT think this is your fault, definitely a problem with the clinic. What were you taking to make sure you didn't ovulate? (Lupron/agonist or Ganirelix/antagonist) -- Maybe changing clinics, even if it's the same, will just make you feel different. There is a saying in Hebrew that "Change locations and change your luck" (it sounds better in Hebrew!). Sometimes just changing a little thing can change your attitude. - BIG BIG HUGS - this sucks...

Sunshine 1576 - so glad to hear surgery went well. Have a speedy recovery and feel good.

deftonesmo - 4dp3dt is way too early for anything! Hopefully those embryos are snuggling in tight for the next 8 months or so.

Rio - thanks for the penguins! So cute! - btw, you are almost 40? no way! Happy Birthday!

nwquiz - I'm sure you are just too early. I got BFNs at 10 and 11 dpo -- but got my BFP at 12, and that is still super early. I know, we ALL want to be the one who gets a BFP at 8or9dpo, but most don't. Hang on - just a few more days!

Amanda - soooo glad to hear your mom is doing well!

Kristin - I'm so sorry for your loss of baby B but a huge congrats on a healthy baby A!

Kynlee -- YAYAYAYAY! You go stim girl! I'm so happy we are finally in March for you!

longtimeIVF- I'm actually suddenly unemployed (big layoffs at my old firm) and now have a ton of time to sit at the computer and obsess about my cycle, which isn't always the best thing! The 2ww is absolutely awful. I spend the whole time violently oscillating between believing that it worked and being convinced that it didn't. Just a few more days! I always POAS, but I do believe that waiting for a blood test is best. That way you have a 100% answer... I hope you can hold out!

Shell (just so lost) - I thought you had your beta already? I'm confused - sorry! How are HPTs treating you? Any second lines yet?


AFM - sorry for being MIA - we were away for the weekend. I've gotten the 'queasy's in a big way - ICK. Hopefully it means our little baby is growing big and strong. I can't wait for u/s on Thursday.... I know it's too early to see much, but I'm still excited to see that things are progressing correctly. I still can't believe this actually worked.

List mistress- I did. My beta was the same day as yours, Thursday. I've been POAS secretly and obsessively since Tuesday. I told you guys I've got it bad. I went into the store and bought 3 boxes and the only reason I bought just 3 is because the store had no more. But I will stop once I run out. My next beta is on Monday. So list mistress, move me on down because I'm PUPO!!

Kynlee- Congratulations on starting stims! I had a headache again after my shot last night but it wasn't that bad. As soon as I had it Boom! it hit me! but after a while I forgot I had it and it passed...

Sweetpea- Looks like you have a good plan here! I wish you a great start on your next cycle! I will be here to cheer you on your BFP!

Katieb- I am praying that this is IT for you my friend! What we all go through IVF is pretty rough but we keep on doing it and hoping/praying for a baby. I could never stop trying...when does one knows when to stop? what if the next time is THE one! one will never know if we stop. I know, its hard. Hang in there! PMA! PMA!

Longtinerivf- Thank you so much for your kind words my friend! and don't Don't be scared! Everything will be OK! and feeling nothing can be good! So, Tuesday is your beta day right? I'll be praying for your BFP!

Deftonesmo- I am exactly like you with sticks. I POAS on my ivf#1 and that was it for me! never again and sure on my 5th cycle now Sticks are no good for me! Bad for my PMA! I admire the courage of those who do POAS though!

Rio- Woohoo! The big 40! Having a 400 beta on your 40th Bday will be absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for your wishes! ...And Andrea!!!! I 'll take this as a great sign for my BFP!! Last night we had friends over and we slept late so not tonight too. Tomorrow we are invited to a friends house for lunch for paelia and sangria...I am looking forward to it cause he is an escellent chef. This is my 3rd day of stims and we are up and running! Mairi Anne (what a pretty name): Sorry you are going through so much. You are clearly such a strong woman. ((HUGS))

Nicole: Thanks for the baby dust! Hope you are having a fabulous trip!!

Tiger: What a confusion! I really don't understand what on earth happened with your IUI. You said that your WTF session went pretty well, but did you get real answers regarding what happened and why? Were you taking Ganirelix? That was my upset during my last IUI--they didn't give me anything to prevent ovulation and because the clinic didn't "see IUI patients on the weekends" I was told to BD in case I ovulated. I was furious. And, I am furious for you. Whether or not to try another IUI or not would really depend--to me, at least--on if they could explain what could be done differently to not repeat what had just happened. I hope that you are having a wonderful trip to the Windy City. Sometimes getting away can give you clarity and perspective that can help you come to a decision. Best of luck whichever path you take next. We are all here rooting for you!!!

Leora: Waiting for u/s!!! Excellent....I agree. Although it will be early to see much, it will be reassuring nonetheless! I can't wait to hear. Sorry you are not feeling so well, though. Take it easy my pregnant friend!

AFM: No ET transfer today....RE called and there are 8 embies going strong! He said he didn't want to put in 8, so we are going to push to day 5. We have 2-11 cell, 1-9 cell, 3-8 cells, and 2-7 cells. I was so excited and nervous when he called that I forgot to ask about fragmentation. But, he said the embryologist was very encouraged and definitely recommended we go to day 5, so that is our plan. I hope it was a good decision. I don't know a lot about cell number (so anyone that does, please feel free to pipe in and give me so info!). My understanding is that at day3 they want 6-9 cells. So those 11s may be "too rapidly" dividing? We shall see. ET is SET for Monday morning at 10:30 PST!!!! My boss isn't really very happy that my trip has been extended, but it is what needs to happen.

I will go straight from ET to acupuncturist that is literally next door to my hotel and then hang out here until Wednesday afternoon when I fly back home. Unfortunately DH HAD to be back to work on Monday so I will be alone.... I will actually be getting pregnant without him...but he will be with me in spirit!!

Shell (JustSoLost) - I know it's hard when other people get BFNs and you want to announce your BFP news - but you should! (for everyone else - she PMed me her good news!) Other people's BFPs are what keep us all going. BFP means that this DOES work and WILL work for us. Congrats hon! You are my new due date buddy! (you are one day behind me. I'm due Nov 8, so I assume you are due Nov 9!)

Anton - funny - this board tends to slow down on the weekends. I guess it's a good thing - means people are focusing on things besides IVF over the weekend! Sounds like you had a fun weekend too! I didn't forget y'all - I just have a slightly different weekend (Fri/Sat instead of Sat/Sun) so I'm usually not here on Fridays!

Sunshine 12 - I'm so sorry that this last cycle didn't work for you. I really hope June is your month! I'll be stalking for your updates.

Kynlee - amazing how excited we get for the days of constant injections, blood tests, u/s, painful ovaries, etc -- but it's all good if it'll bring us our babies! Hope your SnS goes great tomorrow. Grow follies!

Margi - Your embryos sound GREAT! I'm so excited for you! I hope that you have plenty to transfer on Monday AND some to freeze! I don't think embryos can divide "too quickly" and that 11cell on day 3 is a really GOOD sign. Sorry that your DH has to go home before the ET -- but David has NEVER been at the ET when I get pregnant I hope your transfer goes GREAT!

AFM - I'm still tempted to POAS. David has convinced me not to waste any more pregnancy tests - but I still kinda want to! I'm dying for the u/s on Thursday....

and the job searching isn't so great. I had an interview today. They want someone with at least a BA (I have MA), completely bilingual (Hebrew & English, which I am) and full time (8am-5pm) and...... they pay SLIGHTLY more than minimum wage! Almost half what I was earning at my last job! What a waste of time! Sheesh. I told them 'no thanks' and they asked why. When I said the salary was too low, they said that I wasn't the first person to say that. Either they'll find some sucker to take the job at that salary, or will raise the salary. Oh well. I'm just annoyed that I wasted my time with them. I'm desperate for a job, but not THAT desperate! The mere fact that I have a MA and am completely bilingual (which is a big plus here since so much business is in English) makes me expect a higher salary!

Hopefully something else will come along.....

Leorira- I forgot that we have different weekend days ..Yes! I totally agree with you on the fact that we should focus and on other things other than IVF. Mental breaks from ivf are a MUST for keeping our sanity! I wish you all the best in job searching!

Kynlee- Cool! Good for you about not having a headache! If I remember well you take same dosage as I do, 225 I.U of Folistim right? Monday is a bank holiday here in Cyprus (Green Monday), my RE will be on a trip on Tuesday, so u/s for me is Wednesday. I will go on Tuesday only for LH blood test. Cool!

Anton- I am only doing 150 units right now, last cycle they had me on 225 and I got OHSS so they lowered in hopes that I dont get that again and I can get a fresh cycle... My Dr thinks a fresh cycle is what I need...Hopefully when I go Monday I have lots of follies I am alittle nervous since my meds are lower that I wont get as many,but all I can hope for is a few good ones to get me my BFP
