I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday. I am a little sleepy here. My dh and I spent most of the night Monday in the emergency room. He was diagnosed as having meningitis. So, we are dealing with that right now. Fortunately it is viral and not bacterial.
I got my drugs on Tuesday but am a little worried. I am supposed to be on the same protocol as I was last time, but the medicine is not all the same. So, I have put a call into the doctor, with no response yet.
Got really excited yesterday as I had finally gone two days without bleeding...well, just as I was thinking about it I started bleeding again. This is day 12 of being on my period. then I am to go off my pills and have another period here in 6 days. Poor dh:(

Jenn - I am so glad you got your drugs as well. Now, when do you start them all up? It all just seems so much more real when they are sitting there looking at you.
I too know what you mean about keeping it a secret. I really wanted to, but I seem to be telling more and more people. I really only ant to keep it from my sister, as last time she announced it to everyone in a Christmas card letter.

TansRn- I am so jealous of how far along you are in this whole process. Are you still feeling okay? I am sure you have tons of follies swimming around. Keep us up to date.

lwalker25- So glad to hear that you and dh are getting a little vacation. It is always nice to just get away and get your mind off IVF for a little while.

I know I missed a lot of other people, just know that I am thinking of all of you. I anxiously await when we all start so we can be filled with BFP. I just know this group will have a bunch:)

Hi girls,

Sorry sorry sorry for not posting for so long. I've just been caught up with work and life and I've been trying not to think about ivf for a while. I was kind of dreading starting the whole process again. I spent half of last year doing one iui cycle after another (4 in total) and was down regulated the whole time. I was so blue for the whole process, partly through those horrible negative results but partly just living without my own hormones. Anyway then ivf came in Feb which I was so excited about and that was negative too. After getting over that one I've actually been feeling good about life for the first time in absolutely ages which is probably mostly due to being drug free. Soooooo I was really dreading being down regged again and just tried not to think about it as it was approaching.

Well I'm back and back on drugs! I've felt fine mostly but do have horrible negative waves of worry that I don't normally get. I have to wait until May 16th (my 4th wedding anniversary) for my scan and then will hopefully start stimming on 17th.

I've tried to catch up with this board but it has moved on so far so I'd just like to say hello to everyone who joined since I disappeared. I see some of you are stimming already, lots and lots of luck to you. I think I'm somewhere in the middle of this group.

I'm off to visit my bro and wife and their new arrivals (twin girls from ivf no. 4) in nyc next week. I can't wait to meet my little nieces.

I'm still on the caffeine and weekend drinkies at the moment but will be giving up for my cycle. Do you all give up the booze and caffeine completely? When you start stimming or sooner? I really missed my morning coffee last time but didn't give up tea as I take it so weak. My accupuncturist said that de-caff was worse as it contained so many chemicals. Would love to know what you, your doctors, accupuncturists, etc think.

Anyway I'm off for a nice hot bath before House comes on the tv. DH is reading over my shoulder and giggling at my post so I think it's time to sign off.

Julie-Welcome back!!! I am so sorry to hear about the horrible ups and downs that you have had to undergo in the past year. I am proud of you for jumping back on the wagon though.
I like you love my drinks...just caffeine, no booze. I have given up my morning coffee, but have not yet given up my cokes:( I tried, and was successful for 2 days and then back on I went.
Last time I did IVF, I gave up ALL caffeine the day they implanted. But, I am going to try to give it all up before then. I don't drink much water (almost none) so I am working on that.
Just wanted to welcome you back.

Thanks for your lovely welcome back hrobinson! You're good - no booze! We've got a pretty active social life where the wine is always flowing, it's terribly hard to resist! I've got things on the next 2 weekends and then I'm going to attempt to avoid nights out and be out of temptation's way! I reakon I'll give up the caffeine when I start stimming - do people know if this is soon enough and if I can keep sipping my weak baby tea?! I am a good water drinker though (my only saving point!!) and have about a litre and a half a day. Call me fussy but I absolutely love Evian and drink it all the time, any other brand and I just wouldn't bother, maybe you just need to find the water you love!

Jovigal, that's exciting that you're stimming so soon, I wish my time would hurry. I dreamt last night I'd done the transfer and my accupuncturist (who was Sarah Jessica Parker in the dream!) refused to treat me any more! You have a little girl, how lovely. Did you have help to have her or did she come along au naturel?

Well I must get on and do some work.

Jules :)

Hi, me again!

I've just done some back reading of the board as I missed so much when I wasn't posting and I've seen some of your lovely congrats at me becoming an auntie to my brother's little neices. Thank you all so much. I'm touched! As I said in my previous posts I'm flying to nyc to meet the little ladies on Sunday! Can't wait! Oh and Sophie, they're both absolutely fine now, all anaemia gone.

Sophie, thanks for your concern at my clinic not freezing my embryos, I've got my appointment with a dr next week so will be asking lots of questions as to why. Your info on embies is very useful so I'll be going in with that, thanks. I'm down regging for so long simply because it's the national health and the next time they can get me in for ivf is 16th May and they always down reg us on day 21 of our cycle! It's such a pain and we definitely don't get treated as individuals but hey, it's free for 2 cycles so I can't say anything. This is my last go on the nhs so if it doesn't work I'm going private next time so it should be better.

Must go now and pack for nyc. I'm working all day tomorrow and out tomorrow night so have to do it now.

Take care all.

Hey ladies

How has everyones week been?? Mine has been very busy (again!!) and ive not been getting home until about 7ish every night. Then we looked at another clinic in London, then we started moving dh’s daughter into her new house, and today dh had his op to have his gall bladder removed. So its been pretty hectic here!! Anyway, they let dh out today and he’s sat next to me in the armchair fast asleep so I thought I would catch up with you lovely ladies!!

Tans – woohoo on starting stimms on Monday. How is that going?? Sorry to hear its been stinging, is it any better yet? Did you have your follie scan today?? How are your follies doing?? Oh and about the not telling thing. Completely know what you mean. With my first ivf everyone knew, and I mean everyone!! This time we’ve decided we telling hardly anybody!

Hrobinson – have you had any news on why your drugs are different yet?? Wow, sounds like you got a good deal on them!! Sorry to hear about your dh, what a thing to go through when you have to go through this as well!! Hope he recovers very soon!! And thanks for letting me know that you think once a week on the list is ok. And thanks for understanding on the job!!! Lol

My2 – hows the stimms going?? Thanks for your well wishes for dh and the info on how you felt afterwards. How you feeling now?? I brought him home today from the hospital and he’s very sleepy, bless him. Am a firm believer in sleep is the best medicine!!

Arizona – How have you been?? Dh and I definitely need some quality time together but we’re going on holiday in a couple of weeks so that will be great. Your nights sounds great – we went to a 70s party on NYE which was such a laugh!!!

Jenn – how did your interview go?? Sorry to hear about your dh…hope he’s not playing you up!! Lol…oohh, how exciting, getting meds!! Doing a double AF jig for you now for end of next week:

ImageImage

Carolyn - hey hun!! So sorry to hear your cycle has been pushed back!!! What a bummer!! But if its good money then what can you do!

Lwalker – woohoo for starting your cycle! Its so nice to get started after all that waiting isn’t it? Oh, god, sorry!! Just realised we haven’t included you on the list!! So so sorry, hope you haven’t taken offence!!

Julie – hey not to worry about being MIA!! Think we all need a break at some point and just try and forget about it all and try and get back to normal for a little while!! Nice to have you back!!

Jovigal – hope AF shows soon for you!!!!

Souris – do you still start downregging tomorrow?? If so woohoo and good luck!!

Sorry if ive missed anyone but hope everyone is well!!! As for me, waiting on AF as I’m figuring the sooner this AF shows the sooner my may AF will show and I can book in with the clinic. (but sort of hoping AF wont show at all, if you know what I mean!! Lol)

Any updates on the list – let me know!

To all that have only 10 more days to go for egg collection. This is my first cycle and very keen to get to know all those ladies that are going through the "lovely" injections... but only 6 more shots - day 2 is over, thank the Lord. Luckily my husband is kind / courages to give me injections.

Let there be loads of juicy eggs growing out there...

Good luck to all.

Hello
I went for my u/s and blood work. Everything looks good-After four days on the meds I have 4 follies that are about 10 and 16 that are just under 9. Not bad. I had no idea what to expect this early in the game. I am just starting to feel twinges. When I bend over it is starting to feel tight. Not overwhelming yet but I know that it is coming. I was happy to see that things are going well. As soon as she put the "wand" in, I was like is the medication working? LOL She said for me to come in on Monday for more of the same!!!

Souris
I hope that things are going well in your new apartment! Hope that you will be able to call it home soon!

Jolis
I do understand the loads of eggs comment. Bring it on body!!!

Shantala
I havent told hardly anyone. I have only told my two close friends and DH!!! LOLOLOLOL It will be easier...just in case but hopefully it will be a surprise to everyone when I get my sticks back with two red lines!!!!

Jul
That dream was funny! Sarah Jessica Parker! Isnt great that it seems so real when we are dreaming it? I loved that story! Not much longer for you either-Only a couple of weeks! That is great. Stay positive now! Your day is coming.....I give up the booze totally but just a little caffeine. Working nights it is really impossible unless I want to chance killing someone with the wrong med or something!!!

Angela
Thank you for the well wishes You will be starting so soon! May 1st will be here in a flash and we can complain together!!! LOL

Jovigal
Not much longer for you to start your stims!!! That is awesome!!! I hope that you get to start....

Hrob
That really sucks about your period...That is way too many days to bleed. Just way too many. Poor DH is right!!!! I got different drugs this time around as well although they said that it would be the same. Who knows what they are trying to do to me....LOL Good to check on it. Thank you for asking about me. It is going well although just now starting to feel bloated just a little and twinges....hum fun fun.

Hope the rest of you are doing OK. I will be in touch...

HELLO EVERYONE...I'M BACK!!!! It took me forever to read everyones's posts. Y'all have been busy. Lots of you stimming...I hope that is going well. I've missed reading everyone's posts. I actually tapped into the internet briefly on the ship to catch up once, but never posted.
Well, bad news for me...AF came 5 days early while I was on my cruise, so I obviously couldn't get my baselines down on cycle day 3. So, now I have to wait for my next AF...BUMMER!!!! So it looks like it won't be til the end of May, beginning of June. I went from one of the first ones to one of the LAST!!! Thats okay..I will cheer all of you on and be one of the last ones to test!!! Just don't forget about me!!!

Will write more later...hope everyone is doing well. Lots of love...Jen
