Good luck to all the mommies to be who are having ER/ET this week. I have everything crossed for you'll. Just remember, no pain, no gain.

Just a quick update on me since I don't get to post as much as I'd like. I am still on BC until 12/24. I go for my injection class and Mock transfer on 12/18 and start injections on 12/22.

I plan to order Meds tomorrow so can't wait for that bundle of you to arrive.

Although I am not afraid of needles, I am somewhat fearful of the unknown. I guess it's only natural.

Quick question - Did most of you do your own injections just incase there are times when DH just can't be there to help out. My DH want to be there for me every step of the way but sometimes things take unexpected turns and the process can be lengthier than planned.

He travels alot with his job but has made a promise that he would work around our IVF schedule. Just still wondering should I just start out doing these injections myself and just use his help when I'm tearful or really need him to. Ladies, any advice?

BFPs!!!! To all of my Baby Makin Queens who are in ER/ET this week and the weeks to come. I'm rootin for ya!!

RAH!!!!! RAH!!!!! RAH!!!!
Me, 40 - DH, 47
IVF #1: POSITIVE - Michaela born 9/19/08
IVF #2: Consult on 10/13/09 - Start BCP Dec since clinic will be closed for the Holiday.

don't have time for a big post (sorry  .....i SO promise i'll be back to my normal self next week).........

wanted to let everyone know i was keeping tabs on everything....am still reading daily --- and we have SO MUCH GOING ON!!!!!!!!!! thinking of you all........... :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

washington --- injections..........my WONDERFUL dh did ALL of mine..... i don't do needles (i know, call me a big WUSS!!!! :? ) but my dh doesn't travel for work.........he does however get up at 4am to leave the house by 5am ---- so all of my a.m. injections --- yeah, i had roll my a$$ out of bed, half asleep to get poked!!! ALTHOUGH --- i do think having gone thru this once that i could pretty easily do on my own........ but it kept dh involved and close to the whole process --- they kinda get left out other than being on the receiving end of our hormonal roller coaster -- poor dears!!!! so -- good luck!!!!

higgins --- where did you go????? hope all is well........

pumma ---- darling......haven't heard from you ---- everything ok?????

lisa (LB) --- thinkin of ya today hun!!!!

neffi --- you asked how bad the pain was after ER........i honestly didn't take a single pain reliever!!! and i had a script for vicodin or some "really good" stuff........didn't need it.......i was more tired than anything..... emotions so intense leading up to that moment -- i just wanted to go home and SLEEP!!!! (and have a beer while my little eggies were fertilizing!!! ) by the way ---- AF rear her ugly head yet???

esperanza --- thanks for your thoughts girl!!! right back at ya!!! you get thru your finals so that you can concetrate on makin' babies!!!!

ct michele --- YEAH on getting 9 eggs!!! looking forward to hearing your fertilization report!!!!!! SO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tali --- how's that puppy doing?????? heck -- how YOU doing?????

hellokitty -- i must admit that i am SO jealous of your "my left ovary has tons and my right has 10"!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!! i don't remember your full history ---- were you a poor responder to producing follies based on other med protocols??????????? only asking as that was "my issue" -- i didn't respond well during first round......had only 4 follies to work with... hoping this round ends up like yours!!!!!!

i know i missed some ----- am very sorry!!!! but i'm thinking of you all and getting more and more excited for all of our BFP'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello all-

I am at work, but have been dying to have a chance to tell you all the good news!

My dh got the phone call this morning with the fert. report. Out of the 9 eggs, 8 were viable. They found 8 moving sperm and injected them yesterday via ICSI. This morning there were 5 embryos! They said they will pick the best 2 to put back in on Friday! I am excited...and hoping everything continues to go as well as it has so far.

Washington- My dh did all the shots except the last stimming one. He had to work and I figured by the last one I could handle it myself. It wasn't so bad.

Neffi- I was in quite a bit of pain immediatly following ER, but my clinic had prescribed percocet ahead of time, so once that kicked in, I felt better. After the first hour or so, the pain subsided and I just felt bloating. This morning, for some reason, I did get stomach sick, but I just think it was because I was rushing to get to work on time...I feel better now after some crackers. Just take it easy the day of ER.

Pumma- Hope everything is ok, were waiting to hear!

I will keep everyone updated, and I will probably be around a lot in the next 10 days as I try to get through my 2ww, but I know i can do it with everyone's support! Thanks again!

Hello girls,

sorry, this is going to be quick - Work is crazy..

Washington - I did my own injections, my DH sometimes works really late and I did not want to rely on him. The first few nights he sat with me while I was mixing everything, then I got the hang of it and was fine by myself.

Michelle - that is great girl.. Way to go!

Angie - Girl good luck with the deadline - I hope the week is over soon. Puppy is doing much better, even allowed to play a little. He is bouncing of the walls though since he has been cooped up for a few days. I am doing great. I must say, having all these distractions has actually been good for me. Not obsessing over IVF so much :D

Lisa - Thinking of you girl. Let us know how things go.

Neffi - Yay - AF has arrived! One step closer

Esperanza - Girl good luck with the finals - Almost over, then you can concentrate on IVF :)

Pumma - where are you girl? how did everything go? we are all dying to here. Hope you are well.

BFP and baby dust to all.
Tali

i am back!!! sorry, it took me so long, but i was pretty busy this morning and yesterday: i took a three hour nap (it was so great) after the procedure.

thank you so much for your encouraging words everybody; it's a blessing to have you all.

here is my update: everything went well, they retrieved 12 follicles, not sure about the quality, but i am hoping for the best, so i am very happy about that. the procedure was fine, not too much pain after the retrieval, i only took some tylenol at the clinic and that was it. today, i am a little bit bloated, but i am drinking a lot of water and gatorade. tonight i'll start progesterone shots and prometrium while still taking all my other meds. transfer will either be on Friday or Sunday, but i am guessing Friday since my last two were also day 3, which means i'll only have to take 1/2 day off from work, which would be nice. i am actually pretty excited, for some reason i really think it is going to work out this time :D :D :D

Keisha: i think it is a really good idea to have your follies frozen to wait until your estradiol levels will come done. last time i had one frozen embryo, which thawed perfectly and made it to a chemical pregnancy, so i would not worry.

Michelle: congrats on your follies; everything looks perfect.

Lisa: good luck today, we look forward to your news.

hello to everybody and much baby dust. i'll let you all know tomorrow, when my transfer will be.

Last post for today ladies, I promise  !

esperanza - Thanks for the encouraging words! And yuck to statistics....remember those days. AND yes, I sucked at it big time :P !

Neffi211 - Yeah the evil witch showed her face  ! Last time, I had egg retreival, I was in pain for three days! I had a mild case of OHSS so I wasn't a happy camper, not to mention I am a big wussie!! So, you pretty much can't go by me.

washingtonda - I give myself all of my shots except for the PIO. I haven't figured out how to do those myself.

ICSI GIRL - Sounds like you do have a huge project going on. Hope it is over for you soon. Wow, I really am a big wussie because I took every drug they gave me after retreival. My folly count is high but only because of the PCOS. I would love to have your 4 follies. My follies end up being immature due to the PCOS so I am praying for at least one good embie. So, have another toast for me to have better follies this time around!

Tali - hope works slows down for you. I have 1 major thing on at work but I get to skip the worst part due to retreival. I will take small blessings any place I can get them :P !

Welcome schel67 ....how are you dealing with 2WW...I know I will go nuts!!

As for me, I got the official word today. I will trigger tonight with hcg at 10:20 p.m. Retreival is Friday at 9:30 a.m. My E2 levels fell and I may not have to freeze! So excited....but if they have to freeze, go right ahead....rather have that than have to cancel any day!!

To all my ladies in waiting, still thinking of you all.

helloKitty,
I'm doing great with this 2 week wait cuz I'm visiting with my folks and keeping myself busy. This board helps alot when I'm thinking about my little embies inside. I also look at several day to day pregnancy calendars to see what may be going on in my uterus at the time. It's all good :D
