Hi all! I had my ET this morning - we transfered one beautiful Grade A that was already hatching and another really good looking Grade B that had started hatching in between the time they took the picture this morning and when they went to put it in. DH got to look at them in under the microscope and told me #2 looked almost as hatched as #1 at transfer time. I'm excited but nervous about the 2ww!
Good luck to the ERs and ETs this week! I'll be thinking of all of you!!!

I am over my Lupron Dilemma from this morning. I posted so quickly in my concerned state that I didn't get all the details out. You may recall that I posted last week inquiring if anyone had travelled on an airplane w/ their meds/needles, etc... anyway all went fine for our overnight trip to Charlotte, NC for a family reuinion- until this morning I open the small in- room fridge and realize the diet coke my husband wanted was frozen, but the bottled water on a different shelf was not, so I decided to check on my Lupron on a shelf on the door in a baggie and sure enough it was ice. I got it out and it defrosted quickly, but I knew it was a problem. So while waiting to hear back from nurse I posted.
BTW- thanks sportsmom- you are great! if I was in town it would have been a great idea-
Anyway- long story short before hearing from the nurse- I found a walgreens in Charlotte that had a 2 week kit of Lupron and thankfully was with my dad (urologist- btw intersting fact ~ found out he treats prostate cancer patients with Lupron) and he wrote me a prescription; which I wanted to avoid hated having to spend more $$$ -So my Lupron had been replaced by the time my nurse called back @ lunchtime. I was airing on better safe than sorry attittude. She said that if I had not had a way to get a prescription then they would have advised I continue with the defrosted lupron and come into the office first thing Monday morning to talk with RE, that most likely it would have been ok. Apparently I got super lucky- the nurse was suprised we found lupron in the correct dosage w/out a specialty pharmacy- which most are closed on Sundays. So "yay" for Walgreens! I have never been so thankful for my dad's occupation & Walgreens- I would be on eggshells right now worried that the lupron was not working correctly and that I would ovulate overnight and ruin the chances of this cycle. Thanks to all for the support.
Good Luck to Faith03 on your ER Monday (I will want to hear all about it- hopefully mine will be this week) and all the other apointments, injections and test result waiting for everyone!
Morning ladies! Sportmom Thanks, and yes 5 days Faith 03 poor DH doing the hcg I'm thinking of you today and praying that everything goes well on your ER and noup! no accupuncture. Faith77 Wow, you're Lucky. But that's good that you can have peace of mind Statsgoddess That's exciting!!!!!!! Good Luck on your 2ww, I'll join you tomorrow When is your beta? and one question: For ET did you still feel bloated from ER?
AFM The RE called yesterday right after I posted and said that from 14 fertilised eggs, 10 were doing great and the other 4 were growing too slow. So I'm good for a 5 days transfer tomorrow at 10:30am yooohoooo!!!
Estrellita-- great news! 10 good embies is great! You'll have some good frosties for later
AFM-- 12 follies that look good...I will probably trigger soon. DH and I found out we will have cobra til the end of the year so we dont have to rush anymore, if this cycle doesnt work then we will have time to do our 2 other cycles after the summer.
Me 32 DH 31
DS 3rd try
8 failed cycles
No luck with adoption
DS 7/23/14 IUI after Celiac diagnosis
estrellita - great news on all the embies! i felt pretty good by ET - it was more or less like a more awkward pap smear, LOL. I slept well last night and am still super exhausted today, but it could be all the progesterone in my system. The cream might help with the actual shots, but I am freaking sore on both sides from all the IM shots. Ick. My beta is May 13 - the wait is going to kill me.... We had two good frosties from this cycle, so we were happy about that.
faith77 - thank goodness you were able to solve the lupron problem!

estrellita- hope your ET went well today- keep us updated:)
Neffi211- Do you have an ER date set yet? I think mine will be Friday. I think we are pretty close together on our cycles.
statsgoddess & sportsmom- How's the 2ww, I've been thinking about you both!?
Faith03- how was your ER yesterday?
AFM- I had my 2nd U/S of the week this morning. Follicles look good, the largest is 18 and the smallest are 10-12 many in between, at least 15 total. Waiting for my BW results for the day and they think I will continue injections (luporn, bravelle, menupor) tonight and trigger tomorrow night or Thursday. I am bloated and have a very tender/crampy tummy. Will that go away once I stop the Stim meds?
faith77 I'm so glad the lupron worked out for you. Hey, anytime I can help just call me. We're sisters in all this! I'm still bloated/crampy from all the meds and the ER but I developed mild OHSS so that could be the culprit. Do what I did and make best friends with sweats.
Sportsmom- I am glad I am not the only one wearing sweats, I have worn sweats to both my appointment so far this week. I also have the first pimple on my face since middle school! The nurse that does my bloodwork was trying to console me when I showed her -w/out laughing, b/c it is a big zit, and it appeared overnight. Has to be the meds or extra stress. Anyway- DH and I have found we have to keep a sense of humor about this as best we can; our plan is to take 1 day at a time. Some days easier than others. Now that I am so close to transfer day, I can't help but think wow- this much closer- I pray this works for all of us, but then I have to remind myself- the reality is it doesn't always work. I have never felt so out of sorts- we have no control over our results all we can do is follow directions and pray all goes well and if not pray for the emotional/physical strength and financial situation to try again. Thanks agian for the support! You mentioned OHSS- will that effect anything other than cramps? any different meds?
sportsmom and faith77 - I went out the week before ER and bought a pair of "fat pants" (jeans a size larger than I usually wear). These have been the only thing I've managed to wear out of the house since a couple days before ER. I'm 2dp5dt now, and they're more loose than they were, but all I wanted to eat after the hcg trigger was fried chicken with white gravy, so I may have gained a few pounds from that, LOL. I'm hoping the rest of it is just bloating from all the drugs. Same with the pimples - the week of stims, I hadn't looked that bad since high school, LOL.

faith77 When my levels were elevated during stimming he saw I was definitely at risk for OHSS so he put me on a diet of drinking 3 powerades a day, lotsa water, boost high protein shakes, and low sodium diet. Before trigger my e2 was over 6,000. During my ER and right after my ET, I was hooked up to an IV to help with the OHSS...I think it was called hepastarch (?) or something like that. And I was given Dostinex medication after ER to take once a day for 8 days. The high amounts of liquids and high protein shakes I believe contributed to my weight gain.
statsgoddess- fat pants are a good idea- I may have to find some- DH may get tired of seeing me in my sweats- not to mention everyone else!
sportsmom- while that seems like alot of powerade, etc.. I'm glad your OHSS is under control
AFM- I just got of phone w/ nurse- my BW came back and all is good to trigger tonight @ 11p. My ER will be Thursday morning~ a day earlier than I had thought and I guess ET first of the week. Wish me luck with my trigger... from what I have heard this seems to be the worst part?
faith77 - what kind of trigger do you have? mine was ovidrelle and it was two shots, subcutaneous in the stomach, just like everything else had been so far. i didn't think it was any worse than the lupron or follistem, other than my stomach already felt like a dart board at this point. i think the worst for me was being sore after ER and then getting sore about 4 days into the PIO shots. The numbing cream helps with the actual shot...however the area seems to get sore later and remain sore for a couple days, just in time for another shot on that side, LOL. I'm counting down until those are over with

OK- I just looked at it thank goodness I can use the smaller needle! I called to double check with nurse. Mine is the Chorionic Gonado (HCG) I mix all 10,000 usp units w/ 2 ml water solution and inject only 1 ml. Anyone use this? QUESTION- any info on larger needle v/s small? Is this something that varies depending on the medication or patient specific or dr preferance? As I have mentioned before- DH and I take 1 day @ a time including looking at meds. I took the advise of our nurse and when I received the big box I checked order for accuracy then repacked all until needed. So I hadn't looked at trigger shot/directions until today. I did notice all the talk about PIO v/s GEL/CREME- so I did peak @ progesterone and it seems mine is the vaginal gel. Has anyone used/using this? What is the difference between the gel v/s PIO? Also, when do you start progesterone? after ER or ET? I know I will get more info tomorrow from RE as ER and ET get closer... but you ladies are so helpful, I thought I would find out tonight:)
Thanks all!
