Brilliant news, Ang! Wow, 24 follies! No need to be greedy now!!! Well done. Are you feeling bloated yet with that many? I had 15 and felt like a whale. You're right about every stage being a hurdle, there's a lot more involved and hurdles to cross over than you'd originally think. Not long til EC now. You can lie back and enjoy falling asleep. x

Staci - so glad you're still alive! Heard about it on the news and all the damage it did. Definitely wouldn't have been a good time for a trip to the hospital eh :!: I went to Florida a few years ago and there was always a hurricane/tornado watch. I suppose you get used to the possibility of having a tornado pass your way? It was quite exciting and different, so unlike our British weather forecasts - rain, showers, oh and maybe some drizzle! Good luck x

Alicia - best of luck for your ET. Will be thinking of you x

Happy cycling to everyone,
love Jeanie xxxxx :D

Candy
Did you have ET today ? If so hope you aaare ok

Angela

Well done on 24 follies it sounds like loads don't forget to drink loads and loads and loads. I think with that amount of follies it is normal to have some twinges but speak to the clinic if you are worried.I hope those oliies now produce loads of lovely eggs for you.

Staci
Glad to hear you are ok it must have been really scary for you.I just can't imagine what it must be like.I hope things are getting back to normal now for you.

Keep strong all those on the 2ww I know it is easy for me to say as mine is nearly over (well the worst part is still to come) Keep away from those hpt's as they really are no good.

Hi Guys, Hope you're all well.

Angela, 24 follies WOW - no wonder you're feeling a bit achey. I'm feeling pretty rough as well today - definitely a bit hormonal, teary and v. tired!

Staci, Glad to hear you're still in 1 piece - from the pictures on the news it looked very scarey. We whinge about the weather in this country - but at least we don't get hurricane's very often.

DH and I had a MASSIVE row last night - he went to the pub after work and came home after 11pm - he does my injections so this meant I couldn't go to bed and I was soooo tired - and he really didn't get what I was stressed about  . I know I'm a bit hormonal but I don't think I was being unreasonable. Luckily we're talking again this morning!

I go in for my scan tomorrow - I'm really hoping that the higher dose will have worked and we will get a few more follies/eggs this time.

Hope all you 2wwers are doing ok. Sorry if I've missed anyone

Hi Dolly
hang in there. I think the stims part of the IVF is the worst as you are in limbo almost in between scans and waiting for the follies to grow plentifully. Glad you have made up with DH but it must have been hard waiting for him to come home for the injection. I'm not good at giving advice except keep positive, it will be worth it.

Wendy congratulations on your big fat positive.
Ellie - I don't know what to say to make your situation any better except a big Hug and see what friday holds
Angela : hang in there, your symptoms sounds awful but hopefully the EC will make up for it, keep drinking the water

Hi.

Thanks to all of you who sent messages yesterday. Am typing this at my mum's house. She came round ours & picked me up in the car. I am typing this after my egg collection this morning at 09:30. Went well. Was very sleepy afterwards so took a few hours to come to properly before coming home. No pain, just a little bloated & so far no bleeding again, (didn't bleed last time either), very lucky. Was glad to have Trevor the bear to cuddle when I had the injection, but after that was a breeze, don't remember a thing which is why Trevor (hubby!) said he wouldn't stay with me as I didn't know he was there last time. I was a bit disappointed, as only got 8 eggs again & was expecting more this time as they had increased the dose of drugs a lot more this time, but everyone says that quality is more important than quantity, so here's hoping. Just sitting here waiting now till tomorrow when I will find out how good or bad they were & how many are useable. After I get the phone call to tell me will try & get round mum's if I feel up to it & let you know the latest news.

Is this the way I get added to the August Cycle Buddies List? I would love to keep in touch & find out how all of you are getting on too.

Am being waited on hand & foot at the moment & milking it as much as poss. Trevor keeps asking if I'm OK. Mum is at this minute downstairs making me a smoothie with kiwis, 1/2 a banana, a nectarine & a few strawberries so that should be good. Felt a bit sick when first got home, but fine now, just a bit dizzy & sleepy still, but trying not to sleep again now, will just have an early night tonight.

Bye for now.

Good luck again to all, especially those having egg collection etc this week.

Keep in touch.

Love, Mandy.xxxx :) 8)

Mandy, glad EC went well. I know its easier said than done - but don't be disappointed with 8 its a good number - and you're right it is quality rather than quantity. They have upped my drugs this time as well (got 8 and 6 eggs on the last 2 cycles) - but they did warn me that upping the dose wouldn't necessarily increase the amount of eggs - so I am pretty much expecting the same this time.

Glad to hear you're being spoilt rotten - you deserve it! Take care and hope you feel less bloated tomorrow.

Love

Mandy ... Glad you had a successful EC. 8 eggs is great, so don't you worry !! Just make sure they all keep on pampering you. You need to get as much rest as possible between now and ET, to get your bod as well as can be.... oh, and keep slugging the water back !

Hi Girls,

Wendy well done on the BFP. Ellie hang on in there for now if they want you to come back for another test.

Staci glad to hear you are in one piece, but sorry to hear you can't start whil Jan what a long wait, when will you have your fibroid removed? You'll recover very quickly from it had one remove in April and it wasn't too bad.

Well I spent all weekend in and out of the hospital having scans as AF turned up before they thought it would and my Consultant said if the cysts had gone down enough then I could do the flare protocol, but they didn't so have to wait another month, but at least by then they should have gone and I can can get going properly. And people say third time lucky so lets hope.

Probably time i signed up to the Sept budies list but I'll be keeping an eye on how everyone is doing.

Cheers,

Jane

Angela,

Sorry you're having a bad day. I remember being quite uncomfortable during the last few days of stims. and kept hoping for EC as soon as possible. Glad you are being good about drinking lots of water.

Mandy,

Sounds like EC went well and it's great that you are getting waited on!
(I think my DH needs to take some lessons from the other womens DH's on here as he never does very well with the waiting on me part of things).

Jane,

I'm actually getting the fibroid removed tomorrow morning. I figured it'd be one less thing to deal with and that I should probably just do it now while DH has time to drive me. He'll be traveling most of Sept. and Oct.
Jan. is certainly a long way off. :( My plan had really been to start downregging in Nov. and do the transfer in Dec. but, since my clinic doesn't do transfers in Dec., I guess I have no choice.

Did you have your fibroid removed by a hysteroscopy? Were you feeling fine the next day?

Staci,

I also had two fibroids removed by hysteroscopy when I had the tubes removed. The whole thing was not painful and I recovered in a couple of days. I did take the pain medication, though. As you've read on here, don't wait until you're in pain before taking it.

Good luck on your surgery tommorrow. I know January is a long time to wait. Hopefully you'll have some fun over the holidays and will forget all about it until then. Maybe you'll have a precious Scorpio baby next year!

Shannon,

So, you're at that hot shot clinic in Colorado. So naturally we'll be expecting a BFP from you on the 19th! You're so lucky to live in the area of that clinic! Hope your next few days fly by as much as possible.

Caroline,

Where are you? We miss you and hope all is well and that you have been able to continue your tmt.

Jeanie,

Hope the 2ww is treating you well or at least not going by too slowly. Not long now.

Dolly,

Sorry to say, I think fights with DH come along with the territory. At least you two make up quickly. I think that helps a lot. Good luck for your scan tommorrow. Hope everything is progressing nicely.

Chubbs,

Good luck for your ET on Monday. I hope they can get a few more to fertilize, although one good one is so much more effective than many not so good.

Jane,

I hope your cysts melt away quickly so you can get started again. I wish I had some help to offer there - I guess rest is the best thing?

Angela,

I also get nervous on every visit, blood test and scan, since I know they can stop the process at any point if the numbers don't look good. I feel like every small success is a milestone. I hope your day is going better.

Candy,

How did your ET go? Do I have the dates correct? I think it was Monday? Did they let you look at the embies? That is my favorite part. They're just a few circles, yet strangely, I feel love for them. Maybe I'm just a silly, sentimental girl

Mandy,

Welcome to the August Cycle Buddies. I've added you to the August testers list too. Best of luck for many eggs to fertilize and for ET!
