Barbara,
Your son was extremely lucky..We have driven through Childers a couple of times on our way up to visit family in Bundaberg, the original building was just a death trap (literally unfortunately). Have you seen it since they've built the memorial?, it's really lovely.
Hope Donna is doing OK, please keep us updated

Hi Bel

Yes we have seen the new/old building We went up there for the opening of the memorial. Brett was overseas at the time, so today will be the first time he has seen it. It was beautifully done with the painting and the photo wall. We haven't seen the new hostel though. I don't think Brett will ever stay in it. He has his 1974 Kombi campervan to stay in this time.

Donna's DH just rang to say her HCG levels had gone up to 3000+ - so that's great.

Take care,
Barbara

Hiya Gals

Been busy for a few days and I have sooo much to catch up on!!

Barbara, great news about Donna. How annoying that the Doc would put her through all that for no reason. I am really pleased that everything has worked out now and the HCG levels sound fantastic. I hope Donna has a stress free pregnancy from here on in...she deserves it. I live in Rockhampton which is a few hours north of Childers. We pass through every time we drive south but haven't really spent much time there. It is a pretty town though. Your family sure has had its fair share of drama! I am pleased that your son is ok and I hope he enjoys the trip. How is your daughter in law. I hope she is well and that all the tests turned out ok.

Deanne, gosh, who would have thought that booking into a hospital would be such a concern. I too have never thought past the treatment so I can understand how this must have come as a bit of a surprise...at least if I do ever get pregnant I now have the heads up. I have one of the few obstetricians in town living two doors up from me and a lovely old hospital at the end of the street....I have visions of myself wandering up the street while in labour and picking up the doctor on the way! Glad that you are trying to relax a bit too....DH is a huge cricket fan, and I have tried (to no avail) to become interested. I would say that football is my thing but I am coming last in the footy tips competition at work...by a long way....so obviously my interests lie elsewhere.

Belinda, the scan sounds amazing. I am wondering if we have this kind of technology in Rockhampton! :D I hope to find out one day. I love my cleaning lady too! Not that she cleans (?), but she does the ironing and is obsessed with washing walls. She is also a bit obsessive/compulsive and tidies things...she has organised all my toiletries by colour and dismantled DHs extensive computer network because she thought the cords were a bit messy. :D If nothing else, her antics are quite entertaining. Oh, and in answer to you question from a long time ago, I am studying communications/journalism to keep my brain active and avoid early onset alzheimers!

How are you doing MissMolly? Not long to go now. I hope DH is taking good care of you and you are taking it easy at work.

Hello to all and have a great weekend.

Cheers
Heather

Hi Heather,

Lovely to hear from you!, communications / journalism sounds fabulous. I finished a management postgrad and have also done my masters over the last couple of years, all very work related. I love the idea of studying just for the sake of studying, would love to do art history to be honest..Maybe one day!!!, also like the idea of warding off alzheimers, some days I already feel afflicted I have to say!!!

Have a great weekend all

Hi Barbara & Donna

Haven't been on the website since beginning of June when I got my BFN - am feeling more like my old self now and am moving on with my life.

Anyway, just logged on today and see that you have great news to celebrate. Hope Donna can now enjoy the rest of her pregnancy.

Best wishes, Pauline

MissMolly,
Sorry to hear your news..though if you hang about this board long enough you'll see that lots of women who have what seems like AF actually go on to have pregnancies..it aint over til the fat lady sings I reckon..Wait and see what the bloods show tomorrow..
Read your post about the Zita book as well..sounds fabulous, did you order it from an Australian web site?

MissMolly, so sorry to read your post. After everything you have been through lately I thought you were due some good karma. This really sucks. Hang in there and take it easy for a while. Although things probably look a bit bleak now, I am positive that you will get your wish eventually.

Take care

Miss Molly, I was sorry to read your post. As B said, there's always a chance it could be a false AF. I'm thinking of you and hope that whatever the outcome you're feeling ok today.

Take good care of yourself,

As expected a BFN :( DH & I are disappointed, but already looking forward to the next treatment cycle. I test with clearplan on the 5th July. Our only hurdle will be that we only have one embryo left - lets pray that it thaws!! Bel - I ordered the Zita West book from Amazon.com. It took a few weeks to arrive. We are seeing the consultant next wednesday, but I also have to see the hematologist - ? going on clexane. I have also booked in for some acupuncture - I figured it can't hurt.

We are upset, but also realise that this is what happens with IVF - you just never know when it will work, so we have to pick ourselves up & keep on going.

Thanks for the kind, supportive words.
