Hey everyone!
Just popped in to see how you're doing... and to wish you luck!
I am still waiting for AF... it never seems to come when you want it to! arrrghhh....
Anyway, I managed to get all my meds in time (it is quite a nerve-wrecking procedure here...), so I am ready and anxious to start again...
For those of you who are in progress, I wish you lots of nice and mature follies, that will turn into great embies!
As for the ones in the 2ww... I hope you have a huge smile at the end of this period and tell us all you can't believe your luck!

Melissa - I am 28 and my clinic will only transfer a max of 2 at my age. If I were you I would just research the complications of carrying mutliples and whatever you feel comfortable with - go for it! I transferred 2 my first IVF and neither stuck. If all goes well with my thaw - we will transfer 2 again. Anymore the 2 scares me though!

Diane - congrats on your ET...glad you are back home and resting! Now comes the hard part...waiting!!! Hope you can make the time pass fast!

Lucy - glad AF finally decided to visit!! Now you can get started! Are you starting IUI, IVF or FET? Sorry can't remember - there's alot of us on here!

I have my E2 and scan today so I'll update once I get back.

Well after a long week - Friday is finally here! I have a scan tomorrow morning and I can definitely feel that my ovaries are doing something - I keep getting twinges on both sides and by belly is swollen. I am loving every minute of it!

Allison - I love the nicknames your dh gave the embies! And I think it is great you are looking at fabrics - you can't have too much PMA.

Angela - glad to hear IUI went well. Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend.

Melissa - I am also struggling w/how many embies to transfer when I get to that point. 2 or 3? It's a tough call. I want to have the best possible chance of getting pg, and i would be thrilled w/twins - but the idea of triplets scares me. I know selective reduction is a possibility but I couldn't bring myself to do that. If I were lucky enough to end up pg w/triplets I would try to carry them to term. I may just transfer 2 to avoid any possibility of trips. It sounds like your dh is being great - good luck to the two of you in making this decison.

Lucy - AF finally arrived - congrats! I was going to stop jigging but I think I will keep it up for Mafalda and the others who are still waiting.

Diane - hello! I am glad everything went well w/ET. When is your test date?

Hi Danielle - like you said, i think I am almost exactly one week ahead of you. I am happy to share my experience with you - let me know if you have any questions.

Helloooo ladies,

Hope everybody is doing really well and welcome new member.

Just to let you know that I was down Reg. & started injection (Gonal-F) on 23/03. No problem with the injection but I’m worried about my egg quality. Last cycle I produced many eggs but poor quality & led to no fertilisation. I really hope I have top quality eggs this time, fingers crossed!

I’m still jigging for magic AF for all of you who are waiting for her.

Good luck to everybody who is going to have next scan, and have follicles blooming with good quality eggs.

Fingers & toes crossed 2ww ladies and get huge +VE.

Hi girls

Well had more good news today then disaster then good again.

Firstly i had my scan, it was all good. Have 10 follies but two are still a little small but i have 3 more days of injections so there is time for them to grow. The scan showed this time around the follicles are better than my last cycle and they are really pleased and very positive. Also had blood taken and they called in the afternoon to say my EC is on Tuesday (ahhhhhhhh) then ET probably on Thur.

THEN DISASTER

I rang the hospital for my blood results and they said about 4 times "we are waiting for the Dr and he will call you". Of course i immediately knew there was something wrong. I pushed her a little to tell me and she said my test results should be in the thousands and mine was 69 . At this point my stress level hit the roof and my stomach hit the floor with worry. Anyway we had to wait for an HOUR for the Dr to call as they decided to retest my blood. During this time i was sure the cycle would be cancelled and we would never have eggs or kids (drama queen)

Finally the Dr rang and informed me everything was fine. She said the blood levels were nearly 4000 and out of all the blood tests today only my result was a problem due to ---------wait for it ----------A BLOODY AIR BUBBLE IN THE MACHINE TUBE.
Of course there were loads of appologies and she kept telling me this had never happened before.

All that worry (as if there is not enough to go through) and everything is fine, thank god. My stomach is now where it should be and i desperately need some acup as my blood pressure must be sky high.

So basically i am in for EC on Tuesday.

Will write to you all soon but am away to relax, had enough for one day.

Sorry I haven't posted much this week, somehow on Wednesday work managed to cut off my internet access, I was probably not suposed to have it in the first place, so I can't really say too much.
I've now changed all my profile to use my home lap top, so although I won't be able to respond straight away I'll try to log on each day to catch up with everyone.

I'm still waiting for AF to show, it's really starting to drive me crazy - had major cramps on Wed so thought would get a show, nothing - had pain last night on right side, similar to that of when they did EC in Jan (my right ovary is high and caused a lot of pain during EC) - wish I knew what was going on in there!

Welcome home Deirdre, glad everything went well and good luck for 28th

Angela - glad you are getting on OK, the 11th will soon be here - good luck

I have been quietly reading - but wanted to post an update...I do my trigger shot tonight and will be going in for ER/EC on sunday the 25th....Hopefully we will do a day 5 transfer again - but I will know more Monday after the little embies have fertilized...

Oh my gosh you poor thing! How dare they make you go thru such panic! I'm glad everything turned out good. Your E2 levels sound great...go follies go!!!

Kelly - I bet AF will surprise you when you least expect it!! I am hoping she comes this weekend so you can get started!

My appt went good today - lining is thin where they want it and they just called me to let me know E2 level was at 37.5 (anything under 60 is good) so I can start the estrogen tonight. So I finally feel like I am getting somewhere! My ET is scheduled for the 11th but I think I am going to push it back a few days just so I won't have to take all that time off from work - only 2 days. Then my Preg. test would be on Saturday which is better than having to work that day. In case it's negative - work is not the place you want to be!
But we'll see! Next appt is 04/04 so I will update the list.

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick post to say thanks for the welcome and really appreciate your company. Especially as I haven't been talking to family and friends up to now about what we are going through.

AF is one week overdue. Rather frustrating when you're used to a regular 28-day cycle. I phoned the clinic this morning to check whether it's normal in my case and was told to "wait another week". As I didn't respond to meds on 1st cycle there's nothing to bring on AF. Logical, I suppose. So I'm jigging for us all still waiting.
DH and I are heading off to Munich for the weekend. I will be taking your advice, Allison, to get AF going, and indulge...

Hi everyone,

Allison - have already had prostrap injection on the 16th (am having FET this time) next is a scan on the 30th and then hopefully begin estradoil tablets.

Jen - what a fiasco! all that worry for nothing!

Have a good weekend everyone! I gave up alcohol for this one so haven't had a drink for over a month, have never missed a glass of wine so much! Am hoping it will all be worth it this time?
