Hi, everyone.

Haylie, great news that everything is progressing nicely.

My2, take care of those precious embies...keeping everything crossed for you for BFP.

jodic, Good luck with the 12 eggies...hubby's little soldiers just have to do their jobs now and fertilize all 12. I'm sure they're all getting nicely acquainted and comfortable with each other as I type. Everything crossed for you as well, for 12 strong, viable embies.

Take care everyone!

We had our egg class today and I am excited, we are about halfway through the process! On Thursday, the 18th we will have our ultrasound to see what the follicles look like and then we will schedule the egg retrival.

Whoo hoo!

Sorry i didn't post yesterday - i was so tired by the time we got home!

Well, we got 19 eggs - i am amazed! Ems, it gives u some postive hope because they told us we had 14 follies and prob only 5-6 were big enough to get eggs from!

I thought i was dreaming when they told me - i'm so pleased but obviously, we still have a long way to go!

I feel a bit tender still so just resting!

Thank-you to every1 for all your good wishes (it obviously helped!) & Ems, let us know how the scan goes!

Vickie, honey! I am sooo pleased for you. Well done! I really do need some hope.

Had my 2nd scan this morning and I now have a fibroid, although they say it won't affect the treatment. Great! Just one more thing to add to the list of things wrong with me :x Still no follies on my right, and on my left there are 5 which are looking good. I am soooo disappointed and have been sitting in the car park crying. I hoped more would have appeared. It really doesn't look good does it? Or am I being too pessimistic...?

Lots of love, fed up Ems xxx

Awww Ems we posted at the same time
sending you Image im sorry it didnt go as expected i know how dissapointing it can be your not being pessamistic at all we all hope for loads of eggs thinking it gives us a better chance...
this may not make you feel better but you sound just like my friend when she went to her scans and then when she only got 3 eggs it really does only take one little fighter and the fewer eggs the less chance you have of too many hormones affecting implantation i think twins will be perfect for you so we are aiming for two very strong embies out of all of this and a happy healthy 9 months to follow...big hugs you still may be surprised at EC i was told 5 last time we got 11...fingers crossed you have some shy follies that wont show up untill EC....

lots of love Aunty

Ems - sorry to hear it didn't go gr8 for u today but, like every1 says it does just take 1!!! Fingers x'd it will all turn out fine and we'll all wander what all this worry was for!

Aunty - we don't find out about our embies until 2moro morning and hopefully, they will give us a time to go back 2moro afternoon to let our embies start snuggling in!

I have a bit of a dilemma tho...coz i didn't think we had many eggies, we said we didn't want to freeze but now, there is the possibility that we will have some spare so i don't know if i've changed my mind? My concern is that its not as succesful as a fresh cycle but, i think it'd b a lot less stessful??...Can u wonderful ladies give me any advice in case we do have any that we may b able to freeze?

Jodic - congrats on ur 12 eggies - when will u find out how many embies u have got and will u have them transferred 2moro?

Lots of love 2 every1

Vickie- I know MANY women who have beautiful children from their FET cycle.
sometimes you have to remember too that only the BESTES embies can even be considered to freeze so they stand an excellent chance of being a great quality embryo to transfer.
I have 6 totsicles waiting to make this baby a brother or sister in a few years... I think It is a great idea. going thru IVF ever time is alot on your body so having a FET is also much easier n you??? just my food for thought!

Good morning ladies!

How are you guys doing? The cold wave hit Quebec tonight and brrrrrr it's really cold this morning! -25C! At least it's not too windy!

IBS did not really calm down; I had mild crises in the evening and on the way back home from work in late evening, I started feeling nauseous... almost heaved when I opened the front door. Felt queasy this morning, too... Took Pepto Bismol again before going to bed. That acupuncturist better do something this afternoon about the IBS, because I really fear it's gonna get worse on Friday! or better, who knows? Maybe it's just the Lupron... the nurse told me that as soon as Puregon kicks in, Lupron's side effects disappear. Becleo, how did your IBS react to the stimming?

Other than that, I still firmly intend to enjoy my day! ;)

Aunty: thanks for answering my question, I really appreciate it sweetie! :D I wanted to discuss a few points; I PMed you.

Vickie I agree 100% with becleo; you should definitely consider it, especially if your only worry is lowering your chances. I've heard many women here mention that your chances might actually be higher with FET because your body is less influenced by all the hormones of a fresh cycle. Food for thought... Congrats on the great number though! :)

EMS I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough time sweetie... but be careful. Having so many people cycling with you here can be good for venting, support, getting answers, advice, and so on. When it serves as a comparison poijt in that way... it's doing more harm than good. Egg count should not be a competition! Not that I think it's the way you see it, but I'm sure it plays a little bit in your mood right now... My two cents.

Jodic Hey girl!!! Look how things turned out after all! That is amazing news and I'm delighted to hear it! Congratulations and I'm sending you tons of lucky baby dust so you have many healthy embies!

My Ask becleo (I think it was you who mentioned it)... she had the exact same symptoms after transfer; felt like AF was coming each time... and the fourth time she was pregnant. My advice is, don't trust the symptoms too much, for they might be very misleading. Trust the blood tests!

Cook: go girl! :D

Becleo Sorry to hear your IBS is having fun as well... maybe we sould introduce them one of these days, in hopes they just fall in love and go live together ELSEWHERE than in our poor bodies and leave us alone... (whoa... that a side effect of the meds?! or just my good old craziness?)

Silva keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you sweetie!

Shantala Where are you my friend? I miss you terribly! Is everything okay?

Have a great day guys; gotta run! Lab meeting!

Just a quick nod to Vickie re: your FET question. i agree STRONGLY w/rachel... look up (www.sart.org)/ask re: your clinic's FET #s. My clinic has 50% "live birth" rates for FETs in my age (35-37), higher than fresh transfers... which is why my RE recommended (and why we did) not do a fresh this time, but froze all ferts and now will do a FET. Having said that, some clinics have very poor FET rates, so that is why it is important to have the info. This is my first FET.. i am one wk from transfer and so far it is CAKE compared to a fresh cycle (of course, i am not on lupron)... much easier on the body and psyche. Good luck!!!

ooooo girls, as an aside.... just looking at the #s i just wrote... 50% live births from FET, and getting the chills! lets say i get some good embs this time (just humoring myself  ). ooooo, do i dare dream that i will be in the "good" 50% this time???? ok, just for a minute!
6 fresh IVFs plus one cancelation
Last Chance FET--- Pregnant with triplets!

Good morning ladies! First of all, I would like to thank all of you for your prayers and well wishes. I have some good news and bad news. Bad news is, only one of our two embies survived the thaw. I guess I sort of expected that, so I really was not too upset yesterday and I think I handled things pretty well. The surviving embie returned to the blastocyst stage after thawing and the embryologist graded it as a B. I think that's good, right? Anyway...the weather held out for us and we made it home just befor elunch yesterday. I have been resting and I am starting to get cabin fever (I am going to be glad to get abck to work tomorrow). I am now on the 9-day wait! I have an appointment on January 25 for Beta. I hope this one little baby decides to stick around for awhile! I have no embies left and the pocket book is empty!

I'll try to keep up with this long list of posts over the next couple of weeks. Thanks again, and good luck to everyone!
