Klinger; I'm so comforting knowing other women aren't having many symptoms, either. Even the pulling around my uterus has eased a bit, and my breasts are not nearly as sore (ok.. it comes and goes). I am still having extremely vivid dreams every single night. I'm not sure if I'm happy I got the final beta or not. I guess I'll know when I get the results in about thee hours. If it's low I'll just have a heads up that much sooner, and if it's high I get to enjoy the final 24 hours before the ultrasound. I kill me. Seriously. I do.

I'm glad the spotting is not worrying you like it was. I have had zero cramping or spotting, but I didn't before, either. With the first b/o I went over a week and then had to take meds to get menses to trigger. Last time I started bleeding just a day or two after the ultrasound. As soon as I get this ultrasound out of the way I'll be worrying about yours! It seems impossible that 18 days have passed since I got the requisition for the ultrasound and now it's tomorrow.

Thanks for all your support! It's already been such a long journey, yet it seems we are not really on our way until we see those heartbeats..

Thanks Ladies :D

I had to be there for you all just like you've been there for me!!

Karian1-Hey I see you have decreased ovarian reserve...if you dont mind me asking what your protocol is bc from the looks of it you got 20 eggs and 10 embies!!!! I dream of that :) Maybe you can help me out. I can PM you if you want? Thanks and cant wait to hear about your embabies!!!

Sonya & Amanda-Woo-hoo U/S are approaching fast! Cant wait...this must be so exciting and nerve racking at the same time!!

Baby-I agree with Sonya..these things happen. I am a Labor Nurse (yea can you believe that) and we see people with histories of things like that...which is almost all cases resolve themselves! Try to just take it easy. Drink LOTS of fluids and stay hydrated!!! Im sure it was scary as hell...but dont stress. Do something that helps you relax for you and your little babies!

Kynlee-GOOD LUCK today!! I am hoping and praing you get some GREAT news!!! Hang in there girl..have some faith its still possible

AFM-yes can you believe I am a L&D nurse..IDK if I told you all that before. So I am heading back to work with all those moms and babies good and bad. Its so funny bc when Im going thru this (as the patient) I am clueless..LOL I will be calling the RE office today...I have to form a list of questions I guess...like why did I have such a poor fertilization rate..is it normal to have 13 follies of good size and only come out with 7 eggs? IDK if you ladies have any suggestions let me know :D

I got the call!

Sooooo sooooo happy. I started my estrogen tablets.... I take 3/day and go back in one week for another SnS. In my past FETs, I've done 2 weeks of estrogen before adding progesterone and doing the FET. so here we go!

The Rx the doctor gave me is for progesterone suppositories. I actually have a preference for the progesterone in ethyl oleate - so I asked for the injections instead. The nurse thought I was crazy. But after being through this several times, I prefer one shot in the butt instead of mess all day in my underpants. The pessaries/suppositories are GROSS and I hate them. So I'm the weirdo who *prefers* the IM injections....

Sonya - I hope your beta came back good. I don't understand why I feel anxious about it - of course you're beta will be good. Onlyone more day until ultrasound!

Lauren- wow, that must be so hard to work in L&D. I have a friend who is a genetic counselor who works with women who get bad prenatal diagnosis. She is 18 weeks pregnant (we had been due teh same day - April 14) and SHE got a bad 1st trimester screening (1 in 160 for T21). Luckily, her amnio showed that everything was fine - but it's really hard when you can't escape at work.... I work in a biotech firm - so work is a total escape for me, thank goodness.

Margi- Im' thinknig of doing accupuncture. I'd been interested for years, but the idea of so many needles freaked me out. Now I figure that the needles won't bother me - not after all the injections and blood draws. I'm asking around for a reomendation for an accupuncturist nearby (Jerusalem)

Wow I'm soo behind.
My iPhone wasn't working properly when online so I have
some catching up to do.
I had my ultrasound last Thursday and it looks as good as
an empty uterus can look to someone like me.
I have shed everything on my own thankfully, so no d&c is
required.
I have since then started my estrace 2pills 3x a day, my baby
asprin, and the latest addition prednisone.
So far I feel the same. My next lining check is on the 23rd which
means if things are progressing nicely my transfer will be on the 25th.
I also have to start my progesterone shots three days before the transfer.
Oh joy oh bliss and the doctor is also putting me on a steroid this time
around to see if this helps me to stay preggo. Anybody know anything
about using the blood thinners and a steroid. I'm just going with the flow.
Anyways I hope everyone enjoys there day!
Good luck to all the ladies that are waiting for results I have my fingers crossed :)

Hi Ladies!

Sorry been out of the loop several days, after my D&C last Tuesday I kept having very bad throat pain. Come to find out during surgery I had an allergic reaction to something and my throat swelled around my air tube. They gave me benedryl and when it was time to pull my tube I was still swollen so he tried to pull it out carefully and ended up scratching up my throat pretty bad and so now Im on medication for a throat infection. Pretty sad when you have to take pain and antibiotic medication for something you didnt even have surgery for. UGHHHHHH!
Still no AF for me. waiting............

Good luck to all those with upcoming beta's and ultrasounds. Fingers are crossed!

HI girls,

I just wanted to pop in and let you all know I'm still reading and being a cheerleader.
Work has been busy so I haven't been able to post much.

AFM -- Roxy's leg is doing better. She touched it to the ground (no weight) for the first time yesterday since she had the surgery a week ago. The bill for the surgery was $3,480 plus we have to go back for x-rays in a few weeks. DH had his appt with the urologist who seemed very optimistic that repairing his varicocele would improve his motility/morphology (his #'s are good). So that is scheduled for 11/24. I am just waiting for AF to schedule my HSG. I'm on day 28 of my cycle and I am normally only 26 days but I think maybe progesterone on my last BFN cycle threw me off a bit because I ovulated on day 16 vs day 12-13. I've been charting BBT's, CM, CP, etc to hopefully give us the best chances on our own these next couple of months. Still looking at an IVF cycle in January. Here is my chart if you are interested. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/277431

Good luck to all!

Leorira, I am with you on the suppositories! DH is home 1/2 the time so then I get the injections; when he's gone, I do the Crinone. I don't like the injections at the time, but at least it doesn't eventually creep down my leg :? . I wonder if I'm losing too much of the medication when it does that? Gross, I know. But, yes, I prefer that darn shot so don't feel any weirder than I just declared myself.

Lauren, I had exactly 1/2 as many eggs retrieved as follicles seen on U/S the day of my trigger. I've read that's common, but when I was expecting a BFN and gearing up to jump back in, my IVF nurse said I would maybe have a different protocol to get more useful follicles. Definitely ask if there is a protocol change that can be made for that.

Heather, that is a crappy topping to all you've been through. Hopefully this gives you an excuse to eat a boatload of ice cream!

so i'm officially PUPO!!!

we transferred 2 8-cell embabies. they rate them based on their fragmentation w/ 1 being the best & 5 being the worst. both were rated a 4, so not that great. that seems to be our issue...the fragmentation. we originally had 5 fertilize, but a 6th caught up. they're not all that great (1 7-cell/grade 4, 2 6-cell/grade 4, 1 4-cell/grade 4). they will wait & see how they are on day 5 & decide if they'll be doing any freezing.

my et sucked!!! i started getting weird pains last night....it almost felt like someone was tugging my insides around the belly button area. then constipation (probably due to the pio) set in & uti-like symptoms. this morning i was better. i did have a bm last night FINALLLY (sorry, tmi) & the uti-like sumptoms were gone, but the tugging & fullness were still lingering. well, needing to have a full bladder for the et made it even worse. it was hard to walk & bend over, & they had to let me empty my bladder 3 times b/c i was in so much pain.

the et itself went fine. the re said i have some ohss. originally, he scared me b/c he said they'll normally freeze the embies ^ do a fet in the future once the ohss has gone away. but he said that our embies weren't necessarily of freezeable quality, so we should just got ahead & do the et. i had mixed feelings b/c he was basically telling us that the embies weren't that great (although he was just being realistic & honest). he said that if i do get preggo the symptoms might get worse. i will take that chance.

so now i'm in crazy town until the 27th. at least my beta is on a saturday...

i'm off today & tomorrow.

Hi Ladies!...

I have lot's to catch up with!... I'm PUPO!!!!... Congrats to the other PUPO Ladies as well!...

Karen: Congrats on your awesome embie!... My PUPO Triplet! :D

Cheri: I'm so happy for you!!!... My other PUPO triplet... :D

Margi26: Everything will be fine!. Whoo Hoo for trigering tonight.

Klinger: Is it thursday yet?.... OMG... you must be sooo excited!... I'll be praying for you!

Lauren: I'm really sorry honey! Take all the time you need and I wish you the best. Thank God we have this site to find incredible ladies that have been so helpful and encouraging.

Tammy: I hope your doctor finds a protocol that is effective and makes you comfortable... but above all that gives you a BFP!!!

Karin1: 10 embies is great!!!.... now relax and get ready... you will be PUPO soon.... I feel you pain when it comes to the progesterone shots!... my ass is sore too. I'm not really sure why? Its not the actual injection the one that hurts, it seems like the muscle becomes sore over night... IT never hurts the same day, it's always the next morning. I've tried the heating pad without any visible results. At the end it will be well worth it!... Good luck!

Leonira: Sending you lots of sticky baby dust!

Lou: It's good to hear from you!... I'm so happy Roxy is doing much better. Good luck!

moorebaby: congrats on being PUPO!!!

AFM: Et went great!...I was a little disappointed that many of our embies didn't make it. The all looked great at day 3 but on day 5 there were only 2 good enough for transfer, one grade 5AA and the other one was "cav m IV" (I really don't know what that means). We still had 6 other embies that were going to be observed to see if they continue growing so they can be frozen, but the doctor was not too confident about that. I'm waiting for a call to see how they are doing today.

I can't believe i'm PUPO... it seemed so far away when I first started in this journey. I'm not sure what to do... i'm afraid to change positions in bed.... Should I lied down?... can I seat down in bed?... i'm even scared of going to the bathroom or laugh too hard!.... Any comments?... I'm I exaggerating?... I'm not sure.... better not to take any chances.

Wishing all of you a great day!!!! and lots of baby dust!

Leorira: Freaked out by needles? An IVF veteran like you?!?! And, um, someone who “prefers” IM injections!!! Really, acupuncture doesn't hurt—at least the doctor that I go to see. She is soooo gentle and relaxing. She has even left me with some “to-go” needles in the “right” places for a few days. Tiny little needles covered by a little bandage. Who knew? Definitely can't "hurt"--and even if it just helps you relax and sleep better, I think it is worth it. Go get that referral! Hey, is it covered by your insurance? Just curious.

Lauren: You are so strong and so brave. Wow. An L&D nurse. Thanks for all the support, and best of luck with your RE consultation today!

Amanda: Thanks for the encouragement…Thursday will be here before you know it and you can go visit the Pregnant After Treatment board. Then, a whole BUNCH of us will be following behind you soon!! 8)

Sonya: Just one more sleep until u/s!! And heartbeats! :D

Krys: So happy to hear back from you and that you are getting started again.

Lou: So glad that Roxy’s recovery is going well. And really glad that your plan is moving ahead. I will not do an AF dance for you—just in case there is some little miracle in the works. Keep in touch with us!

Heather: Owee. :( That sounds miserably painful. Did they figure out what it was you were allergic to (so you can avoid it in the future?) WILL do the AF dance for you!

AFM: I have an IUI question, if you will forgive me ladies. Did any of you that did IUI get a sns the morning of? I didn't last time, but last time I was feeling really confident regarding the number of mature follies so didn't even think about it. Not that I would do anything different based on the results, necessarily, but I am thinking it could be reassuring to get a count the morning of to see how things progressed?

:? Lauren......I do have DOR....which is why I used donor eggs. I wish I could produce 20 eggs. My ED (egg donor) was 22yrs. My RE saud that I was the kind of girl that doesn't respond well to drugs. My FSH was actually 3.4 which is good. I would actually have more follicle without drugs than with. We went through 4 cycles for IVF before moving on to DE....not to mention everything else. It was a huge decision....but wish now we'd done it sooner. I think u should do acupuncture. I did and it did help me get 3 eggs once. It was the only time we made it to ER. My acupuncturist said he thought i could naturally and that i should be patient. We just couldn't wait around and watch the clock tick. We r praying that this one works for us. Tammy and Rio may have some info for you. Rio has had HUGE improvments from past cycles. You have a wonderful husband....enjoy the holidays and start fresh in the new year.

Ester........HEY PUPO girl! :D :D Relax and let those embies do their thing! I'll be joining you soon!

Lou.....so glad that Roxy is doing better! :)

Sonya......settle down! You r pregnant! :D

Afm.........just praying for my embies! Can't wait for Friday! :D

moorebaby - Congratulations on being PUPO!!!!! I get horrible constipation too and everything hurts, sorry. Don't worry too much about the fragmentation, i have heard of plenty of fragmented embies go on to gorgeous babies! At my old clinic a girl put in 2 - 5 cell fragmented and had twins! Congrats! Are you going to POAS? Image

Cass - crinone is gross, have you asked about endometrin? You should have plenty of stuff inside so don't worry about what went down your leg ;)

Lou - glad Roxy Imageis doing well! Yickes for the bill. Awesome news on DH swimmers! You doing DHEA?

Tammy - thinking of you, AF here yet ;)?

Ryan - how is the puppy?Image

xo heather - ouch , I am sorry that sounds terrible. Doing an AF dance for you!Image

Kris - glad to see you are back and ready!

Leorira - yeay for the go ahead and you are insaneImage for asking for PIO instead of suppositories!

Lauren - I sent you an email, don't fall asleep reading, it is long! You are a super awesome girl Imagefor still being here and so supportive of all of us. Oh I forgot to tell you in my email that the first 2 cycles I was on BCP but not this one. I do think 50% is still normal for follie/egg ratio. What is your FSH?

Sonya - step away from the betas and let us know the good US Imagenews tomorrow!

Karin1 - your Ass is sore for a good cause ;) awesome fert report! Super exciting!

baby- blu - how scary, you poor thing. Sounds like you will be fine and so will the babies, rest up and keep them cozy. Sorry you had to go through this.

Margi - thanks for appointing me the mayor! Let me know on postage ok!

kynlee - praying for a huge BFP!

Cheri - keeping that baby snuggled in?

ImageHey girls! I am officially in CRAZY CRAZYTOWN. I am up and down like a rollercoaster. One minute I am pregnant for sure and the next I am trying to figure out how to afford another cycle! I did not POAS this morning (10DPO) and not sure if I will Image but then again, Monday beta is like 5 million years from now in IVF time. I am having all these pains and weird stuff going on inside, today mostly from gas I think (sorry TMI  ) but yesterday lots of twinges and sharp little pains, different than AF dull cramps. I hope it is a baby snuggling in there. I never got implantation bleeding so I don't expect it. I have been getting dizzy and having some wild dreams. I WANT OUT OF CRAZYTOWN, help me! I am stuck in here! LET ME OUT!

cassmaster- I wish I could eat ice cream but Im diabetic so I have to watch sugar/carbs. However I do high protein Greek yogurt, it has like 11 grams of sugar per serving but in most cases the protein cancels it out since there is 15 grams per serving. I also do soup but you have to watch fat from the protein LOL. So if its not one thing its another.. ugh!! In order for a diabetic to do IVF you have to maintain an A1C level of 7 or under. So its hard to cheat and get by LOL Because that test is a "check up on you" test..

moorebaby- congrats being PUPO!! Just rest and take it easy! Think positive thoughts.

Lou- I think you have an honorary degree in IVF. You are so knowledgeable. Along with Tammy and Sonya.. WOW! My husband and I didnt realize just how much you learn going down the IVF road. You ladies get really scientific and specific. It really helps us newbs. LOL

Karian- also congrats on being PUPO! Again rest and positive thoughts!

margi26- yes I had an allergic reaction to the adhesive on the I guess you call them the heart monitor tabs. I have their little outlines all over my chest where they placed them. LOL Its comical but painful. I also did several IUI's and my doc did a sns the morning of the procedure. Just to check on the numbers. ie, count and sizes.

Karin1-grow embies grow!!!

riogirl71- thanks for the AF dance. Im not sure how long it is supposed to take for AF to show up after a D&C? Praying for your BFP! Sending you positive results ~~~~~~~ vibes~~~~~~~...... :)
