Margi - Congratulations!!!!! That is awesome!

Ahhh! My little dog should have gone to the vet early today but the asshole I work with decided to play sick and had to leave. I could not leave early since I had to do her job. My DH took her after he got out of work and long story short her intestines came down. If the wound opens she could die. Surgeon was not in cuz after 5. He had to take her to Boston where they will sedate her, keep her over night, and then do surgery in am. They will keep her again Tuesday night and we can get her Wednesday. I have never cried once with any of this IVF crap I have gone through, but I was balling my eyes out driving home from work!!! I will never forgive myself for not leaving work early today if anything happens to her! My other poor dog has been at my parents. I have to keep them separated for 2 weeks when she gets home! I feel terrible right now!

Carol: So sorry for all ther confusion . . . I hope this cycle is not a bust =( Wonder why they weren't checking your levels mroe carefully . . . =(

LongtimerIVF: BFN's suck. That's all I can say. They are evil =(

NWQUIZ: see above =(

Rio: Hope you feel better soon =)

Leora: That job sounded like BS . . . something better will come along . . . good things come to thsoer who wait, right? =)

Kynlee: Trust your RE. Sounds like he knows what he's doing . . . Good luck =)

Shell (Justsolost): Congratulations!!!! Enjoy your BFP!!!

Kerri: What did Leora say? New clinic brings new luck. Good luck =)

Lauren: Poor puppy. Hang in there =(

Margi: Great news and congrats on being PUPO! Stay inside today! It looks windy and freezing outside! My acupuncturst recommended staying away from cold food and drinks . . . and lots of pineapple and walnuts to make my uterus extra sticky =) Have a safe flight home =)

AFM: One of students wasn't paying attention and plowed her body right into my tummy today . . . for a split second I was panicked, but then realized that the little peanut<s> are safely tucked away . . . but still, for that moment, AAAGGGGHHHH! Other than that, trying to look past the fatigue and cramping and mood swing and anything else the PIO shots copy for pregnancy symptoms . . . I do have a runny nose, but that could be from a cold or the estrace, I supposed . . . I supposed I should discount any pregnancy symptom during the 2ww, but it's so much fun googling 8dp3dt symptoms =) AAARRRGGGHHH! Beta in three days =)

Lyd: The 18th...that sounds like a wonderful day for a u/s. Hang in there....can't wait to hear your good news. I will say some prayers for you. And 5 isn't so crazy given my age. Despite the fact that they grade good, they could still have chromosomal issues. But I am staying hopeful!

Deftonesmo: Ouch! But no worries...as you said, your bean is in there tightly safe and sound. Praying for a positive beta for you in just a few days now!!

Ryann: Thanks!!! I will probably POAS at about 7 dpo to make sure my trigger is out....2 days without any peeing, and then....watch out!!! Hope you are feeling ok....I know this pregnancy has put a lot of strain on you....take extra care of yourself.

Margi - That is awesome - congrats on your transfer! mama you are brave with 5 embryos going back in! This time is going to work for you!!! Rest up and enjoy your last couple of days in CA

Leora - so happy to hear about your confirmed BFP! Good luck with your US this week - looking forward to more good results :)

Lauren - that sucks! poor little doggy - good luck :(

Carol - that is crazy - hope everything works out ok. I would be so annoyed with your dr's office right now - they should have been monitoring you closer. Hang in there and have faith it will work out.

I can't remember who was saying about seeing all the different nurses and having them not know their situation - I have felt the same way about my clinic in the past. At the end of my last cycle I really connected with one nurse who was very empathetic with my situation and frustration and seemed to have some good ideas for what we could do differently on future cycles. She told me to request her when I checked in for my appointment - it never occured to me to request the same nurse each time. This cycle has been much smoother so far and I don't feel quite so much like a number - so don't be afraid to ask if you can see the same nurse each time. It can't hurt to ask!

AFM - on Friday they were suprised to see 5 follicles so far - it's not a lot but pretty good for me and considering that I had just been on clomid at that point; I've been doing injectibles now since Friday and this morning they could only find 3 follicles but they are growing well so far. Not sure why the # of follicles dropped (were some hiding or different equipment??) but they still seemed very positive with how things are going and my estrogen levels are looking good so far. I go back again on Wed and then plan is for ER on Friday and ET on Monday.

Thanks everyone! The doc just called and said she decided to do the surgery now (10:00 PM) rather than wait for morning. She was supposed to leave work at 10, so I guess it was bad. I am worried sick and praying!!!

Margi, what awesome results! I will be following your every post! With 5 baking, at least one has to get fully cooked!

LYD... good luck on your u/s next week.... I hope it brings good news.

Lauren... poor puppy... I hope she gets fixed up and better soon... they are so pitiful when they are sick or in pain, yet they still have the energy to show love!

Deftonesmo... its amazing what those little beans can endure.. can't wait to hear the wonderful beta news in a few days.

LongtimerIVF and nwquiz.. so sorry... this whole process just sucks sometimes... praying for better news real soon.

Leora... don't take less than you are worth... but maybe kharma isn't quite ready for you to go back to work... she wants you home baking those little beans

Hey Amanda (klinger13).. congrats again on that little girl!

AFM.. got a does of ganirelix in me this evening... just praying it keeps the O away for a few days and gives my follies some time to grow. I still can't believe their ignorance especially since this was exactly one of the reason I left the other RE and this RE agreed to follow me better so it wouldn't happen. Oh well.. its only thousands of dollars worth of meds, my emotional stability and the future of my family that is at stake... why should he care? ughhhh.... things have to work out sometime, right?

Margi - YAY! Image A blinkie just for you! :D Those sound like awesome embryos. I've never had blasts on day5 (only morlas)..... here come's Margi's baby! Also - lucky St. Patty's day for your beta - yay!

longtime IVF - I'm so so sorry. BFNs are absolutely awful. There is a new experimental treatment being tested in clinical trials right now, where women are given a small endometrial biopsy in the cycle before the IVF. Since my doc is friends with the doc who pioneered this idea, he offered it to me. I have no signs of endometrisis, so I didn't need the biopsy, but they did it anyways and just threw away the sample they got. Took just 5 mins in the RE's office (but hurt like hell!). I'm not sure if it helped or not, but it's worth a try. The theory is that the uterine lining has to 'heal' itself, which produces proteins and chemicals that help the embryos stick.

Lou - yay for a happy bean!

Anton - thanks - I'm not eating *that much* tuna - but the little picture of Nemo and his friends will totally turn me off from eating fish for a while!

Carol - ughhhh UGHHHHHHH UUUUUGGGGHHHHH - I'm so sorry this is happening to you too - especially right after Tiger had a busted cycle. Why can't these doctors watch you more carefully?!?!?! I really hope you stopped your ovulation on time.

LYD - I'm soooo glad to hear your beta is still rising. I really hope your u/s is fantastic! Just a few more days to wait.

Lauren - oh your poor dog. I'm so glad she is getting the surgery she needs and I hope everything goes fine. She is really really adorable.

deftonesmo - as much as it sucks - all the symptoms of early pregnancy are ALSO symptoms of getting AF and/or the PIO. I really hope you get your BFP. Just a few more days!

kbillsy - even though my clinic is really small and all 6 nurses know who I am - I get along really well with one in particular and always ask if she's around. They don't mind and it makes things so much nicer. She always tries to be the one to call me (she called about the BFP!) You are so close to your ER/ET! Yay!

AFM - 5 weeks today! OMG! :D So far, things are looking great - I've had no bleeding or cramping or any signs anything is wrong and my appetite is quickly disappearing and being replaced by constant nausea. Yippeee! No puking yet, but I'm sure it'll come soon.

Don't worry y'all - not too much tuna eating going on. In fact - today, tuna bagels sound gross. Oh my poor DH who has to figure out something that I'll eat every day! Also, the tuna I was eating was mostly mayonnaise and pickles with a few flakes of fish --- cheapy bagel places!

I can't wait until Thursday. We had more bad news on our "pregnant after treatment" board - Lost Girl is dealing with a blighted ovum (ie, empty gestational sac). How awful. Now I'm nervous again, but trying to stay optimistic.

CJ -- Soooo glad you got a dose of Ganirelix in you ward of "O". I'm still really pissed at your clinic for letting this *almost* happen. Considering your history, they should have been on the lookout.

longtimerivf-- I'm so sorry for your BFN. I know how much it hurts. We're here for you.

LYD10-- I've been wondering about you! And I'll be praying for a good u/s for you ont he 16th.

Lauren -- I"m so sorry about your little dog. How is she doing today after surgery?

kbillsy-- Good luck on ER on Friday! I"m sure the other two follies are still there hiding somewhere.

Leora -- Two more days hun. You WILL see that heartbeat.

AFM -- Today is the saddest day of the year for me. It's the anniversary of the day my mother passed away. After work I'm going to go to the cemetery and bring her some flowers. Other than that, I physically feel pretty good. No morning sickness or fatigue or anything. If I hadn't seen my little wiggling gummy bear yesterday, I would swear I wasn't pregnant.

I have a question to the board. since this is the first time I doing the antagonist protocol and using these meds, can someone tell me, on which day of stims do you start the Ganirelix? I have googled it and I found that is around the sixth day but I wanted to hear the personal experience from a cyber buddy. :D

AFM- I had my LH test today and the nurse told me it was very good. She said it was around 3. So I am not starting Ganirelix (Orgalutran) yet. I am having u/s tomorrow morning to see how those follies are growing and we will take it from there. :D Can't wait to see how many are growing!!!! today is day 6 of stims and my head is going to explode! Man!!!! this is crazy! the headache I am having these days is the total of what I had in my life so far! this Folistim makes me want to bang my head on the wall or something! I told my nurse (I see the same nurse everytime) today about the headache and she told me that it shouldn't be the Folistim and it must be the other one I am taking to improve the quality of the eggs called Omnitrope. Well if is this one then Thank God this is the last night I am taking it!! :D Other than the headache I am doing great! just waiting for my BFP! :D

Baby dust to all of us!!! :D

Anton, I truly love your PMA on this board, it's a reminder that it's not about what happens, it's HOW we react back. Many blessings to you and keep on shining like a ray of sunshine! 8) I wanted to ask about the quality if eggs, was that just based on the LH test? My doctor has told us about a new way called DHEA where during an IVF cycle goes in to remove the eggs and test them before implantation. Said the testing could take 24-48 hours, so the best quality ones would be reserved for a FET cycle. Wondering if the Omnitrope med would be something I might suggest to my RE? Sunshine1576

kbilsey: Getting closer now...very exciting!! Grow follies grow!! And yes, sometimes they can hide, and sometimes they are squished, so it isn't really a perfect science. Hoping for a wonderful next u/s for you on Wednesday!!

Carol: Whew. I mean. Really. Hang in there...do you have another u/s tomorrow? Today?

Leora: You are 5 weeks pregnant!!! How wonderfully fabulous!!! I am still so giddy and happy for you...can't wait for Thursday's u/s for a glimpse at your little growing bean...I am hoping I won't be too far behind you.

Lou: So very sorry about today's "anniversary" for you. I hope that you are able to feel some peace and her loving spirit.

Deftonesmo: Beta in just 2 more days!!! yippee....and yes, I am eating "warm" foods...soups...teas (decaffeinated of course)...my acupuncturist said the same. :D

Anton: Thank you for my fabulous blinkie and for your even more fabulous energy!!! You have a super dose of PMA which is just what you and everyone else needs....keep it up!!! This is your cycle!! And things are moving along just perfectly! Can't wait to hear your next u/s. Sorry about the headaches, but hopefully it is from that medicine you just stopped taking and they will be better soon. Lots of Baby Dust my friend!!!

AFM: Not much to report....just hanging out in hotel room...trying not to google too much....has anyone used guided meditation tapes? I have some, but didn't even think to look into ones specific to IVF (Duh). I see Anji has some popular ones...anyone recommend them?

Margi congrats on transferring 5!!!! I cannot wait to see those positive sticks as soon as you start to get them!!! So excited for you!! I know you mentioned something about meditation and one of the girls on the feb/march board does them a lot and loves them. You should check with her to see which ones she (blissful) recommends. Good luck!!
