Quick question guys, what can I expect during my baseline?? Also, when can I expect AF? I just stopped taking my BC today, been on Lupron since the 12th. Just fretting over all of the unknowns.

hey ladies

i'm sorry i've not posted!!! just a quick one to say that the open evening went well. was a bit disappointed to find out we cant start with this AF but have to wait till the next one, which means i should start sniffing (downregging) on the 1st march which feels like ages away. however, aftert the initial disappointment i felt much better as we are having a baseline and trial transfer on tuesday (23rd) then we're having a consultation to discuss drugs, etc. on the following tues (30th)...then i phone in with my next AF (due on the 10th feb) and start downregging 21 days later. although i'm a bit disappointed ("another month") after we were told initially we could start in october, i got appointments to break the wait up for me and make sure the "home" is all fine for those embies!!! (hopefully)

i will try and do more personals tomorrow but thinking of each and everyone of you!!!!

Sorry to hear that Shan. I know how disappointing it can be. But thankfully, time seems to have sped up. We are now having full weeks in one day, so it will be here b4 u know it. In the mean time, I'll be sending my prayers to you.

thanks Cinny - its so nice to hear that s.o understands. people dont understand why i'm upset as its "only a month"...but its been "only another month" since september when we first saw the consultant. anyway, never mind...like you said, before we know it, it will be here!!! woohoo! sorry cant help more with your Qs.

Hi Cinny,

After stopping pill you should bleed in a couple of days, and probably only lightly. The base line scan is just to check everything is quiet, ovaries are small, no follies and lining is thin . If all looks good you are ready to start stimming.

Hi Shantala - glad the meeting went well. "only another month!" - it's good that you have a practice ET - I've never had one of those - that's a plus point> Hang in there girlfriend - you will be the fountain of all knowledge by the time your time comes.

Vicky - glad you are freezing - makes alot of sense - my recent FET cycle was much easier than the fresh one. We had 5 in storage and transferred 2 and still have 3 remaining. I was worried about them not surviving the process but it was all good.

Ems - it's not all about the numbers luvvey. I had 20 eggs and ended up in hospital with OHSS so big numbers didn't help me. Quality not quantity!

Aunty - I have my schedule now - very exciting - start synarel (down reg nasal spray) on 31 Jan and baseline on VAlentines Day - (that's a treat to look forward to!!! ) so all being well, should EC and ET in early March - not far behind you!!

sorry Cinny - I think I may have confused baseline with suppression check - I described a down reg check anyway. Hope that helps!

Cinny im a little different to Angies so i think it depends on your clinic normally for me my baseline is called a suppression check...i know i have to be awkward and i only have to have a blood test no scan woohoo...so it could be either way but its one of the best ones because you get to start stimming Grow our babies....i stop my BC tomorrow so we are right there arnt we...

Shantala awwww your not nuts at all any delay once your ready to go is a real knock but like you say at least you can ease into it it really will be here before you know it i promise to keep an eye on your cycle no matter how mine goes....big hugs

I would like to say a big warm to Nouna, how exciting i have heard good things about the meds your going to be taking so heres to a happy healthy embie count, i will be close to you i think im about 5 days behind you on EC, mines looking like 4th ish of feb depending on our follies of course.
i have also had the headaches but my other symptom is bloating i look like a really mad puffer fish....dont worry it soon passes once we start our Egg Food
And EC (Egg Collection) is a breeze honestly hey im about to do it for the 3rd time and im an official wimp really cant even inject myself shows how bad i am, i get dizzy when i have to go for bloods if i look at her putting the needle in so i promise you will be out with the fairys, hey did they say if your going under or sedation? doesnt really matter i have done both pretty much the same just more clear headed after sedation GA knocked me out all day

EMS: sorry to hear about the fibroid... it must be small if they said it won't cause any problems? So your R ovary still not playing ball? Sorry to hear that... here's hoping that like someone said... you have some "shy" ones in there!

AMD: Congrats on ET! Keep focused on that little embryo inside of you. Wishing you all the patience in the world for the 2ww!

mominwaiting: Lupron starting today? woohoo! You are moving right along.

Cinny: so as you can tell, different clinics call different things "baseline". confusing, huh???? I think mine is more like Angie's... my baseline is done usually the same day i start stims... bw and us to look at # of antral follicles in the ovaries, and to make sure there are no cysts. As for AF, i think the average for AF to arrive is 3 to 5 days.

Shantala: ooooo, so glad to hear from you. Been wondering . sorry to hear you are delayed again more than you were hoping. I am glad that you have those appts spread out to help the waiting. Good for you! You are on your way!

Angie: congrats on getting your schedule... isn't it fun??? Glad to hear things are moving for you.

Last, but never least, Aunty: Ahhh, down to a wk now for you. Do you stop lupron then? (sorry, never used it for suppression.. so i am suppression-lupron ignorant !). I am hoping you are almost done so you can start feeling a bit better (well, i guess that is until the stims kick in and you have a boatload of huge follicles each with a totally healthy, strong egg oooo, well then, the pregnancy w/twins might also drain you a bit! ).

hi ladies, im so sore i cant believe it. ugh. well out of our 12 eggs only 6 fertilized. we will transfer sat...probably 2. can i ask......has anyone done this whole IVF thing more than 3 times? i have done a fresh cycle 3 times and 2 FET so i was wondering what are the odds for me now?anyone know??????


vickie, my clinic has a higher sucess rate w/ fet than fresh....so it will be a good fall back if you dont take this time

PMA yeah one more week of Lupron i finish my pills today woohoo they are what have been knocking me out i think as i always use Lupron and have never felt this way before, To be honest i love the stimms part it takes about 5 days to start feeling your ovary's but it's only for another 5 days ish and its so worth it, I'm praying so hard that we manage to get a totsicle or two as back up and i really would take all of this ten fold if i get my blessing bring on the baby sleepy time

Jody thanks im doing really good 6 little embies is a good number, as for the odds i know yours are right up there and lets face it you deserve it so we will go into staurday full of PMA and we shall start talking to yoru little ones every day sending sticky vibes to you...hugs
