Sassy...good hospital story, thanks. Sometimes I really admire alcoholics for their determination--I'm so lazy at times that I get a little jealous when I see that much gumption! I laughed at your sil---I'm sure everyone is so happy for you guys. How's your dh handling all this? (By "all this" I mean the liter you're carrying around!!!! )

Well, dh is out of surgery and now is in recovery. It went well--the doc said it looked like his insides had "exploded"--nice picture, huh? But it went great so now we just have to get him recovered. I'm sitting here literaly bursting--my breast are so full of milk right now it's ridiculous. Somehow, I forgot about the fact that I can't go longer than 4 hours or so without some relief. Think if I popped up to Labor and Delivery and offered my milk, I'd get any takers!!!!!!???????

Mego am hearing you on the boobs thing. I usually express at lunch but today I had an urgent court application to prepare and missed out on lunch, boobs went bloody rock hard and I felt quite giddy... Glad to hear that DH's insides have been stuffed back to wherever they should be. Hope you have a good easter despite DH's woes. Nogsy is getting quite squirmy now, I turned my back and the blighter had almost wriggled out. He also loves to roll and so finds himself with face planted into the floor on regular occasions....

Sassy, I'm not surprised that DH's family did not believe you i mean come on its an amazing story.

Nickster thank goodness that you will not have to risk the drunk doctor, that's the last thing you need. Your mum's OB sounds like a sweetie, and my what a traumatic birth you had you must have been a tough little thing...It must be wierd knowing what has happened and yet no symptoms. Just another example of too much information that we IVFers get I suppose. I hope things go OK for you in the next few weeks..

TinaO sorry to hear about your flight drama, you don't need that. Yep I will try to post pics of baby I just need to know how to do it, I am so inept! Can't wait to hear what the sex of your baby is, any names yet??? huh???? huh???

Well I'd better go and do some work, I think I will be taking some files home on the long weekend...

Hello all!

Fee - Yes, we have a few names picked out. I liked Savannah for a girl, but my husband says it sounds like a stripper. Hmmm...guess that means we have to discard that name. :? Would hate to start her out on the wrong foot. :) We have agreed on Sienna....like maybe Sienna Grace or Sienna Elyse...not sure on the middle name. As for a boy, we did like Aiden, but that name has grown too much in popularity. So, I think we have agreed on Noah. Perhaps Noah James (James is after my dad who passed away almost 10 years ago). That is where it stands as of now. I believe you think it is a boy, correct? That is your "gypsy" guess, correct? We think it is a girl, but I guess we will know in a week! :) Oh - and I will create a place for us out on photobucket later this week where you can post the pics. It is really easy! I will tell you how to do it later. Again, better get it out there before Brad and Angelina have theirs....

Sassy - I can't wait for your next u/s!! I am sure you walk around most days in disbelief still! If all 5 stick around, I am calling the news stations in advance of their arrival and getting you free diapers and formula for a year - no doubt about it. I will see if they will throw in a van as well to cart the litter around in!! How about that? :)

Nickster - You have such a great attitude through everything. I admire you for that. I know it is tough. I am glad you have the wonderful doctor that delivered you to help you right now. I know that is a relief.

Meg - How is the hubby? Did they stuff the stuffing back in and fix him right up?? Poor thing - that could not have been a fun surgery. I hope by now you are 3 sheets to the wind and little Lucy is sky high from the whiskey. If not, Sassy's idea of the rubbing alcohol might sound kind of inviting to you right now. I still have this picture of you walking around the nursery at the hospital holding your boob in your hand looking for any takers!!!

Ok, better actually get some work done. I wish I could just quit my job some days....however, my hubby is in school FT right now so I have to bring home the bacon...thankfully, I don't have to fry it up in a pan...since I can't cook anyway. Ta ta for now!

Ok girls for your viewing enjoyment I have posted 2 pictures on the ivf photobucket site. The one that everyone here uses. Have a look when you get a chance. User name and pw are ivfgroup. I put one from yesterday so she is a little over one month and the other pic is a few minutes after she was born.

We are headed out of town. Everyone have a good weekend and happy easter!
Jenn

Well dh and I had an EXTREMELY interesting day to say the least! I'm back to needing your prayers girls! Here's our crazy Thursday story (it's kind of a long one!)....

I got to the point in the last day and a half or so with still no cramping and no sign of me having this miscarriage on my own to wanting a d&c tonight. Now I have told you my doctor is out of town starting today and the good doctor is covering until tomorrow am. So I told dh when I woke up today, I just can't do this anymore. So I went and had my hcg drawn this morning (which was already scheduled) and my boss from work called a couple hours later and said "I can't believe this, you're hcg went from 2712 to 4879 in two days". So of course I had a little glimmer of hope but I still know that's low for where I should be...but it doubled!!! So I called the nurse practitioner at my dr's office (which is actually someone I used to work with) and told her. She said well I can still get a hold of him so let me call and see what he thinks. She called me back and said he is sure this is a fluke and sometimes the placenta continues to release hormones for a while. He told her to tell me to start my meds back up if I wanted (he told me to quit taking on Tues.) or to just leave things be so things will happen and he will do another hcg next Tuesday. He basically had no hope for us. I asked her if I could get another ultrasound. I'll make a long story short, only because I know her, I'm sure, she got me in to a perinatologist clinic by my house today to help ease our minds so we can get off this roller coaster and not have to wait until Tuesday. So we went there had an ultrasound. They saw both babies, yolk sacs and fetal poles, and both had slow heartbeats!!!! Now they advised us they are slow and the babies are small but they said there is definitely life in both of them and no sign of bleeding or problems with me.
We just can not get over this!!! I know things don't sound the best but we sure have a lot more hope than we did last night. And thank God dh is a lot more positive than I and made me wait until this hcg to get a d&c!!
We don't know what to think but for now I will steal our Sassy's terms and say we are just living in the moment and hoping those babies continue to be strong!

Nickster, that is an amazing story, i just can't believe it. I will spend the whole of the long weekend hoping like mad that your twins are OK. They are little fighters for sure. I sure hope we get an Easter miracle for you. So when is your next test?? I am on the edge of my seat here....

Tina saw your pic on photo bucket, you are looking very glam, doing the sisterhood proud. Sorry about the job situation , what is DH studying??? Love the names that you have in mind they are cool.

Jenn, Anna is an absolute cutiepie, well done and thanks for posting the pics. I will try to post my little bloke some time this weekend. Don't hold your breath I am technically very inept.

Well have to go the little bloke is whinging ...he takes after his father.

Nickster: Wow. Just Wow. Hoping like crazy for your little ones! When is your next US or blood???? Do tell.

Mego: how is dh holding up?

Jenn: Anna is a doll! Thanks for posting the pictures.

Tina: Fabulous belly shot. I'm just hoping I look as good at 18 weeks....

So I was feeling all smug... my "morning sickness" had been quite manageable. But no longer. About 4 days ago I started getting much sicker... praying to the porcelain god on a regular basis, losing weight and having trouble keeping enough fluids down. Nothing I tried did much good. So I started on Z.ofran yesterday. I would like to kiss whoever came up with this fabulous drug  . My nausea has decreased back to a manageable level and I haven't vomited in 24 hrs. What more can a pregnant woman ask for? I feel like I am now back among the living.

US on Monday afternoon. Curious to see how many of the little buggers still have heartbeats...

hello ladies - hope you are all eating lots of chocolate - I am ! Everytime I want more chocolate and DH tuts at me, I say the baby wants some! Ha ha! -Mind you will probably regret it - if I don't already - I am already finding dragging the extra 6 kgs around with me very tiring but OB says I am on track with weight gain so far - 10 to 15Kg total is what we're aiming for.

Nickster - I really hope there 's a miracle in there for - there have been many on this board and hope you are next.

Tina and Jenn - love the photos - Tina your hair looks so beautifully coiffed I can't compete - I seriously need a root touch up - so will have to wait until I look more presentable - probably in 2015!

Sassy - glad the drugs kicked in fast - I guess nausea not surprising given the multiples - signed up any magasine deals yet???!!!

Fee - how are you out west - your boss sounds like a slave driver - it's sucks you have to go back to work to prove you can work part-time. How's little Nogs?

Meg - I hope your Easter wasn't too stressful and DH is recovering well.

Well DH is banging away - we have finally started fixing up the room which is to be the baby's room. Being ever cautious and not getting too carried away, no nursery themes in the decor - just a nice clean neutral colour but I am looking forward to buying lots of accessories, curtains, trims, toys etc.

Oh by the way Tina - we were supposed to be betting on boy/girl - I am saying boy for you. (I also have a strong feeling it's a boy for me too but as you know we didn't find out -waiting for the surprise)

Have you looked at strollers yet - have our eye on the new Phil and Ted model - looks pretty cool, light and easy to manouvre but it's not in the shops til April - they better hurry up!

Ok - off for some more chocolate - back to work on Tuesday - then 9 more weeks at work - YAY - the countdown begins!

Hi all...hope everyone had a good Easter.

Tina~ Thanks for making "our" photobucket spot. I was just getting ready to ask "how do i find these pics". I am so dumb sometimes when it comes to things like that! BTW...You look AMAZING!!!
I like both your baby names. I guess we'll find out Friday whether we have a Sienna or Noah! (My vote is still Sienna)

Meg~ How's dh and his recovery? I've been thinking about you, Lucy's teething, and dh's recovery. That's a lot for one sista to handle! I hope it's going ok.

Sassy~ Can't wait to hear results of today's us. I'm glad to hear that Zofran came to the rescue quick. I've heard that's a miracle drug for early pregnancy.

Angie~ Sounds like you did some major indulging this weekend! Good for you! Hope that baby room is coming along.

Fee~ Please post us some pics on the new sista spot that Tina made. I really want to see the little guy.

As for us....we have another hcg tomorrow and an ultrasound at the same perinatal clinic on Thursday. Right now I don't have any symptoms of anything, just a little cramping that I've had pretty much since the transfer. We just dont know what to think. I told dh we have been through every emotion and back again! It's still hard for us to believe that it's even possible that everything could be ok. We are just hoping and praying that this miracle continues!

Nickster - Good luck tomorrow and on Thursday We are all rooting for you! :) I keep praying for you!

Angie - I also blame everything on the baby - esp my oreo cookies that I can't get enough of lately! And honey - you are doing well if all you have gained is 6kgs. I believe that equals around 13 pounds for us and I have ALREADY gained that. I BLEW UP this past week like a hot air balloon. I went from no one noticing I am pregnant to EVERYONE noticing!!! Yikes! I just posted a pic from Easter yesterday on photobucket. Oink oink!!  Amazing what a difference 1 WEEK makes!!!
I guess as soon as we find out what we are having, I will start looking at strollers and such!

Sassy - Anxious to hear your update today!!! :)

Meg - how is the hubby??

Jenn - Hope your Easter weekend was enjoyable! How far did you travel for the weekend?

Fee - My husband is studying Finance - yuck! I am in Sales, much more my cup of tea! By the way, let me know if I need to fly out here and kick your boss' a--, I need a vacation anyway. :) I just heard from my new client that they want to keep my pregnancy a bit of a secret for now from their teams. Guess they have not realized that in 2 weeks I blew the f-ck up, so they can't hide this any longer!!! Geez....

Ok ladies - back to work. Yuck...

Hey girls... I am just jumping in for a minute to update before hitting the pillow (since my bed time now seems to be 8:30!)

First of all... Nickster: best of luck on your US tomorrow... will be waiting for your report...

So we still have five heartbeats. I thought for sure we would be down to four today, but Runt is quite the warrior. I am going to post the US picture right now on our photobucket site...

And good night! I'm exhausted!

looking good Tina - looking good! And Sassy I just checked out your litter too - go those 5 little peas in a pod

I just got back from a shopping trip - I have never been so excited about purchasing a black pair of track suit pants - I am SO looking forward to wearing these comfie items if it ever cools down here. Plus I bought a nice red patterned scarf - I decided since my staple preggie wardrobe is going be black and charcoal I can at least brighten it up with some nice colourful accessories. Oh and I bought some huge T-shirts to sleep in - DH will love them (NOT!)

All the very best for the scan tomorrow Nickster - I am hoping you get great news.
