Rio- So glad you got better news today... (hugs) So far I am doing really well My Estradol today was 588 so I am still in the safe zone for OHSS but I am feeling alittle sick today not sure if its from all the meds....I started drinking gatorade just in case

Greekchick- ER wasnt to bad except for the OHSS i had after... All I remember is closing my eyes and waking up :)You will be tired but other then that the next day I felt ok... Good Luck

Katie- I had to go to both FETS alone since no one in our familys no what we are going through... This time since I will be under My DH will have to call in sick so he can be there with me since I wont be able to drive... We will have to get eachother through the 2ww I will be praying you get the call on the Job

AFM- Had U/S today I had 6 nice size follies ranging from 13-20 on my left side and 1 large on my right side... The nurse said I have quite a few under ten on both sides so they will probably catch up soon... Next U/S Saturday hopefully things will look good so I can get ER soon Cant wait

And regarding flying with a little one--I think what SD said is probably true, depends on if she could be easily distracted/entertained by movie or something.

Greekchick: Welcome!!! As has been said, ER isn’t a worry..you sleep through it and yes, that is when DH “does his thing”...and yes, the GonalF pen is for stimming....it is very easy to use and barely hurts at all. Feel free to ask any question at all!

GreekChick - welcome! Athens? How cool! We just vacationed in Rhodes, but my guide book was for Greece and I read the whole section on Athens - I definitely think Athens will be our next vacation! I'm in Jerusalem, Israel. -- the ER isn't so scary. You'll be put to sleep (which can be scary if it's your first time). You'll wake up disoriented in recovery about an hour later and you're all done! My hospital makes me wait until I feel better and have eaten/drank something and used the ladies room before I leave. I get to the hospital about 7am, ER is around 9am and I'm home by 2pm. Good luck!

Anton - yay! ER is sooooo soon! Whippeee!

Sunshine 12 - I'm glad your lap went well. In some ways, it's disappointing when they don't find anything wrong, because then there isn't an explanation of why this is happening. Then again, nothing being wrong is a good thing. "Unexplained" is soooo difficult. We have a diagnosis, which makes things a bit easier to understand.

Katie - so cute about your daughter asking for Tylenol by name! I hope she feels better soon. Less than a week until you are PUPO! I love your PMA! nice ticker!

Lauren - poor puppy in the crate! Our puppy sleeps in our bed with us too - so I know that not only is she missing you, you are probably missing her! A speedy recovery to her!

Kynlee - grow follies grow! I hope the smaller ones catch up so that you have lots of healthy embryos to choose from.

nwquiz - I'm so sorry for your BFN. We have male factor also and when ever DH starts beating himself up about it (this is all my fault, etc) I just remind him that I want to have a baby WITH HIM, not just have a baby. He is the light of my life and *we* want to be parents TOGETHER. ---- also, that news about the progesterone shots (P17, for lowering the chances of PTL) is RIDICULOUS! WTF? Sheesh. I'll be taking them, but I have complete health care coverage here, thank goodness!

Carol - SIX? WOWOWOOWOWOWOW! WOOOhooo! This'll be your BFP also! good luck at the IUI tomorrow morning!

Kat - I hope April speeeeeds by so that you can be pregnant in May!

longtime IVF - FETs take many fewer appts, so you might still be okay even with the new work schedule. Enjoy your trips (I hope pleasure, not business - but even if business - try to enjoy anyway!)

AFM - thanks ssooooo much for all the congratulations. We are still a little bit in shock. I keep looking at the u/s pictures and counting. - "one.... two.... what?!?!". My biggest fear is carrying these babies long enough that they get to come home with me. I really hope they do. Now, I'm on pins and needles waiting for next week's u/s. It'll still be early (6w2d), but I'm hoping to see 2 heartbeats.

In other news - I found a new job! The pay isn't great, but the job is with a non-profit (so no one makes money!). It's an organization that works on empowering women through self-defense and martial arts. Not really something I've been involved with in the past, but sounds good. A friend works there and helped me get the job. I start on Sunday - so fingers crossed! I feel guilty starting when I know that I'm going to need time off because of this pregnancy, but.... I really don't have many choices here!

Hi everyone!

Nwquiz- thank you for your kind words dear! I totally understand how your DH feels. this is exactly how mine feels and expresses the same way everytime we get a BFN. Be supportive and let him know that you are with him for good and for bad and that you love him and nothing is more important than him, and having a baby will just be a bonus. You and him is all that matters...well, this is what I tell my DH...Its hard though, I know. never stop hoping! Both of you take a break and breathe life!

Greekchick- Don't worry for not speaking the IVF language You will learn....actually I hope this time is the ONE for you and you won't need to learn how to speak IVF. But until you get your BFP (Big Fat Possitive) feel free to ask anything and the ladies of this board we will do our best to answer. About ER like the other girls well said, you will not feel a thing! You will sleep and when you wake up your eggs will be at the lab playing around with your DH (Dear Husband) swimmers! When are you planning on having your ER (Egg Retrieval) Your RE (Endocrinologist) must have told you based on the size of your follies. By the way stiming = Ovarian Stimulation and aka Stims. Good luck with everything and keep us posted on your progress! By the way if you don't mind me for asking, how come you are doing IVF?

Rio- Great news my friend! I happy for you and your little bean! I am also glad that you show trust to your OB! This is very important! the relationship between you and your OB must be Very Good! Everything will be fine don't worry! ...about your touchy question...well, my DH doesn't like the idea (actually he is totaly against it for him self only and not for anyone else that does it) of SD nor adopting...And I don't want to push him for doing such a huge step. In general he is awesome with kids but he feels that if we use SD or adopt is not going to feel the same as coming from him/being a part of him. This is not easy! I don't know...I being positive and praying that everything will be ok and if we don't make it this time to a BFP then at least let those embies reach day 5 safe and sound so that we wont have to worry about that too!. Of course my goal is to get that BFP!!! and I have a feeling this will happen this time but let's take a step at a time. I don't know about the cutoff number--- I think is more that 3-4 I am not sure though. Thank you so much for carring and asking my friend. we are all in this together so there are no touchy questions between us! Our book of life has very similar pages to read! All the best to you!!

AFM- I am feeling bloated and excited! Tomorrow is the final u/s and I will get instructions for triggering tomorrow nigh I supposed and for ER on Monday ...most probably is going to happen early morning but I will know for sure tomorrow. My DH will take the morning off and will inform his students today that he will not lecture classes Monday morning. (Lecturer in University) as soon as i finish posting I will go bake a spinach and fetta cheese pie Its very cold today (and yesterday and at night was 2 C degrees) 8 Celcious degrees now!....Ok for most of you this is nothing but for us here is very cold!! OK!!! :lol : I am sitting with my PJ's next to the fireplace posting and eating my pumpking soup that I made last night and I am waithing for a storm to hit town!! ...A couple, friends are coming over tonight for BBQ and that's about it for today. Nwquiz... I'm so sorry about the BFN and how DH feels... but you need to ask him if it was reversed and you had problems preventing pregnancy, would he blame you? Certainly not... but that is the way I feel sometimes with my DH... I know its my old eggs, and he is young with lots of sperm. But we married for each other, not for a child and that can be a hard thing to remember when we are in pain from a loss or failed cycle. These are trying times that can make or break a marriage. He sounds like a loving man and the two of you will make it.

Greekchick...welcome... I am sure you will pick up on the lingo - we all had to learn it. I have not had an ER before, but I also wondered if it was painful. I am having an IUI tomorrow morning (Saturday). Good luck... when is your ER?

Lauren... I hope puppy is feeling better - she is more interested in your love than her pain... thats the great thing about dogs...they are so self-less and unconditionally loving.

Margi... how are all those babies doing? When does the POAS madness begin? how many "dpo" are you right now? Do you have a stock of hpts or do I have to worry about you buying out all the hpts in NC? Maybe I need to pick up a reserve.....

AFM... triggered last night and can't wait for IUI in the am... all of these cycles I have geared up for IUI but it never happened and now it is.. not sure what to expect but I am not going to freak out about it.

I'm so very sorry. You're right, BFP's are a lot more fun but unfortunately, a lot of us get way more BFN's than BFP's. In the end, the road to get there may be long, but it's all worth it. I hope your next try, whether it be a fresh cycle or donor eggs, is a BFP!

I'm new to this board but recognise many names from my last two cycles.

Leora - A huge congrats to you. Fantastic news and twinnies too. You SO deserve to be a Mummy. Thank you so much for your kind words and support over the last couple of months. It was hugely appreciated and so nice to be able to speak to someone who's been through a similar experience.

Lou71 - yay, yay, yay, yay, yay!!!! So cool to check out this board and see that you're preggas.

Rio - so glad to hear that you're little one is doing okay. Thank you also for lovely words when I first found out about that my little boy wouldn't make it.

Sorry for my lack of personals. I have 150 pages to catch up on. I've been steering away from the IVF boards for a while. My head just wasn't in the right place. I'm on the mend now though. Still feel so incredibly sad but I think a part of that will always be with me. Anyway, onward and upward. I'm hoping to start another cycle in a week or so. I'm still waiting post mortem results from out little baby. They're here apparently but need verifying. My RE is chasing the OBS who's chasing the pathologist. We won't transfer any embies till results are back as my OBS is concerned that our wee boy may have had autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease. So DH and I might need to gave some test done and screen any embies prior to transfer. Day 1 should be next week. I don't go on BCP's because of my migraines. I didn't have any migraines between about week 10 and 19 of my last pregnancy. It was awesome. Usually get them weekly.

Anyway folks, I'm looking forward to whatever journey lies ahead. fingers crossed it'll be a good one.

anton-hope ur well ,i d thought id tell u abit of my history we tried for 3-4years now for a baby nothing happened we had 3 iuis,nothin,i had every test there is and im in the clear but my hubby has a sperm issue hes hes a sally prob with his sperm mobilty and now we r here im on my 2nd day ov gonal-f the doc put me on 225 of gonal(in ivf lingo does this mean stimming?)
not sure when my et is yet i go bk to the doc on monday for ultra sound and a blood test ,im worried if mmy hubby will able to perform on the day he need to tho coz hes really shy lol bless him...thank you again anton...by the way where you from?

Greek Chick - I lived on the island of Zakynthos for 2 1/2 years. What a fantastic experience. Sometimes I wish I was back there so that I could slow down my pace of life and eat all that scrummy greek food again.
