Julie..... OMG, a haggis party!!! What is that?? YOu'll have to let us know.....
I know that my brother in law thought a haggis was a scotttish creature like the loch ness or something!!!
Lisa and Jen, yes, i hear u laffing ur heads off!!!! LOL!!!!
Thought the sound it made was 'hhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggggiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssss!!!!!!!'
So may be your friends think they have to catch the same creature!!!! LOL!!!!
It's lovely to read your posts Julie, you are so happy, and it shows!!! Glad you are sleeping better also!!!

Lisa......... How did the swim go? Did u have fun???
You too sound very happy!!!!

I know you guys, got my tx, and i was such an emtional reck.....The hosp left a message fri, which i didnt listen too, til monday a.m and then tried to get thro with no joy..... and i am wondering, what the heck do they want, all i could think was i must be top of the list.... even though early last yr, they said 2.5yrs......
Got thro on tues, and the lady said that they were holding a meeting with PCT about funding IVF in 2008, and that she need to know a few details from me, first..... Turns out we are miles from top of list, and even if we do get to the top, we have to have tmt in 2 diff hosp, one in norfolk and one in cambridge....As u know, we live in suffolk, Ipswich is best for us, but coz of our postcode in suffolk, we have to got to the hosp in norfolk for the scans, and most of the IVF treatment including Egg collection, but on EC day, someone would have to drive my eggs to the clinic in cambridge for the donor sperm to be added for fertilization, and then ET would be in Cambridge.....
How complex is that????
Its so stupid!!!
Oh and when i say some1 would have to drive my eggs, thats not the NHS, thats either your husband, or nominated friend or relative!!! Bad huh???
I mean can u imagine!!!
So right now after hearing that, I think I would rather wait and save and go private!!!!
So i was all over the place, as you now trying to focus on business plans, and i felt like it was all coming at wrong time,
So now heres the plan...... business..... settle down then try IVF in 2yrs, after saving to go private......
If we move out of Suffolk before we reach the top, of list we would have to re wait anyway.....
I am feeling ok, getting my head back to normal...... xxxx

Thanks for all your support anyways!!! xxxx

Hope that all makes sence, I am typing rather quickly....... xxxxx

Hugs to kate and jen xxxx

Hi Nikki

Glad you are getting your head round it and feel better. As for the "collection"....Justin had to go collect his sperm in a gas canister from one clinic and take it to the NHS hospital. Playimg courier they called it. He felt like he had a bomb in the car as it was steaming!!! Imagine if he got pulled....it is mad that we have to do it ourselves.

Will let you know how the haggis do goes. I am puzzled because we have black pudding round here and I believe haggis is similar...thats why i wondered why they have to "catch" it.

Take care all xxx

hello!

Just a quickie as I am feeling rather hungover and need to go home and lay down!

Glad to see that everyone is doing ok and that Julie is taking to motherhood well! Nickie - I think I would do the same as you...what a nightmare situation! As least going private you can have higher standards!

As for me I am alive (only just after the beer I drank last night!!) and well. Had a bit of a nightmare on Wednesday, a close colleague announced she was pregnant and I found it really difficult to deal with. Think it was because it was a complete shock. I know I am going to find it hard with her being in the same department and watching her get bigger and all the baby talk that goes with it. She doesn't know about the IVF but she is one to keep going on and on about babies! Have got my head around it now but there were a few tears on Wednesday!

Anyway, hope you all have a good weekend, will post more later when I am more in the land of the living!!

Hey, it's burn's night!!!! I am so silly, I wondered what all this chat about haggis was all about!!!
I turned on Radio Suffolk, today and they were talking about haggis recipes I wondered and thought I'd some how turned into scottish Radio!!!
I also wondered if they had been reading my post, as a lady on there was saying that u have to catch 'em and they have 2 legs longer than the other on one side!!!!
It's silly huh???
but yes, its like black pudding, Lisa & Jen will probably tell us different, but isnt it all the bits and bobs from the animals.... Heck I dont know Im vegetarian!!!

Kate, honey. It's tuff when collegues are preg, more so than others as its in your face more. A girl at my place was preg n doin my head in, shes gone on mat leave now! Phew!!! I had to walk out of the staff room if she was on lunch with me, It's hard, but your'll find a way to cope with it.... Hugs!!!!
Looking fwd to meeting you next month also. Well, have to sort out the finer details near..... Hope ur hang over is better soon, We are out clubbing it 2mro night, Im driving, so no hang over for me.... But I really dont wanna go, and AF is here too. So i have volentred to drive.....

Gotta whizz, dinner is ready!!
Hugs to all xxxx

Hi guys

The myth is that a haggis is a wee furry creature that runs about the highland hills which is why it has one leg shorter than the other! Hence why they have to catch it!! In fact it is ofal (the name given to the intestines, heart, lungs, kidneys). It is mixed with oatmeal and spices and is actually really lovely altho sounds disgusting. Served with neeps(turnip) and tatties (mash).

Hope that solves it! Will msg again tomorrow. Have to go at mo. Sorry!

Nickie,

Totally understand how you feel...this rollarcoaster is a bugger!! Think you are doing the right thing about going on the pill, even if it only sorts out the 'am I aren't I' scenario every month.

Love the idea about us all meeting up when you get your B & B - you'd better hurry up!!

Looking forward to seeing you on the 16th..hi to everyone else!!

Hi All

Having a very busy week this week. Stuff planned everyday.....my mum is on holiday (again) at the mo so lots to do for my nan too. Taking her to the church panto/play of Red Riding Hood tonight...

The "Haggis Night" was ok. We didn't know anyone there tho...the neighbours we hoped would go didn't but it was nice to chat to others we normally just wave at. We didn't stay long, just enough time to try the haggis which was surprisingly nice as I didn't fancy it.

Nikki, I know where you are coming from re going on the pill x Roll on your B&B!!!

Hope you are all doing ok? xx
