Suga--I will say this about teething....it SUCKS!!!!! Your girls are definitely showing signs. But, you're right...it might take a while for teeth to come in. Your girls might definitely be waking at night out of pain. Totally possible. Freeze some wet wash cloths, have some toys they can chew on, get the tylenol and ibuprofen ready. Oh, and teething tablets worked well for us early on. They're some sort of homeopathic thing. My kids won't take them now...but here we are at 20 months, and we're STILL getting teeth. This bout has lasted more than 2 weeks. It HAS to end soon!

Kholtan---your pregnancy sounds like mine! As summer got closer, I wanted ice cream ALL the time! No worries, like you said--the weight will come off eventually. Oh, and come on over for cookies ANYTIME!

Buckeye: What are teething tablets? Like the cookie things?? They suck on those more than chew on them and I have to still hold them for them as well...they try but they still do not have great control.

Kholtan: I am sure they will be late with teeth as well since they were preemies but you never know! DH mom said that he had teeth at 4 months!! Same for his brother. I was lucky that I did not want sweet during pregnancy.

I have to talk to our apartment land lord tomorrow. There is mold everywhere on the windows and I think it is in the air conditioning unit. UGH. I need them to do something because it is affecting me and my breathing so I am sure it is doing the same for the girls.

Ok ladies, it is official. I have to go and buy a.......pregnancy test.

Yesterday was finally where I needed to know. I almost feel like I did when I was pregnant. I do not get a lot of symptoms BUT my uterus feels hard? Can this happen when you are about to get a period too? I asked DH to feel my uterus (not saying why) and he was like...its hard. So I know it is not just me. Plus it feels weird when I bend over or lay on my tummy. So, test time. I mean I am sure I am not pregnant but if I were, we would say it is a miracle since I had a hard time ovulating with drugs!!! So we do not think we are pregnant but we want to see for sure.

Suga~ Just FYI, I had never had an egg reach maturity on it's own before IVF, I only have one tube and it's flat as a pancake. . . SOOOOOOOO you never know!!! IVF has a way of jump starting bodies I hear!!! I bet you are!!!! I am secretly, ok not so secretly, excited for you and dh!!!!
Also, don't get too worked up about teething yet because you never know how the girls will do. My kids are not bothered by it at all oddly enough. Other than the chewing on everything, drooling, and having their hands in their mouth all the time mine slept the same and never changed their nightime routine at all. Keep your fingeres crossed! God only gave me what I could handle! :D I did the tablets as well and they seemed to work for us too.

Better run before dh comes home and thinks I do nothing but sit on teh computer!

Well kholtan, hate to burst your bubble but I took the test just now and it was negative. :? I will take another test in a week or so just to make sure, of course. I did not think I was, but hey you never know! I will see where I can get those tablets.

Suga -- I tell you, you are very quick! It took me weeks to finally buy the pregnancy test and actually pee on it. You know something about being relaxed about it, too, makes couples after IVF conceive easier. So, you really never know. I also have blocked tube and the other one not working properly, so the doctor who did the laparoscopy said you can have as many children as you want but probably through IVF. SO, I really wasn't expecting this baby AT ALL. My babies are teething again now. They eat less, cranky wake up in the middle of the night. I think the worst of all is around 2 years-old where they grow molars. Sean was just miserable and woke up many times screaming. Not to scare you and others! Oh and you can buy the tablet in regular grocery stores, too, at least around here.

Kimberly -- I am happy to lend you Alyson, just let me know a good time :D ! Warning: she's loud! Everone that meets her says "wow, she's really loud!" I just went to the OB and the doctor says "this baby's really active!" I asked him if thinned skin makes me feel the baby more and he said "not really". So, it looks like we'll have another active little girl. Enjoy your ice cream! I was same as you, never was into sweet stuff but pregnancies changed everything! I am hoping I will return to normal post-baby. We'll just work out afterwards. Right now, I think there is a reason for the craving -- either wanting extra calories, blood sugar, or need for relaxation... I am just letting my brain and body have it now. I will deal with it later!

Buckeye -- I am somewhat relieved that your cookie scene is not serene as I imagined. But really, I think it's great that you work with kids in the kitchen. I am worried about the mess and clean up that follows and I know I shouldn't be. Glad you got the TV that hangs on the wall. It's on our list but will be way way in the future. I am tired of my kids patting on the TV screen and opening and closing the entertainment center doors. Aggaahh!! By the way, do you have a kitchen aid style mixer? I am considering putting that on my Christmas list (I am already thinking about it -- my list that is).

Courtney -- I can't believe how well your boys are responding to sleeping through the night at early age. Lucky you, but I am sure you put some work into it, so good job! And your house looks beautiful!! As you know Pacific Northwest is dark and rainy most of the year and we get minimal sunshine especially during winter time. I miss having the sun coming through the window like in your photo.

Take care everyone!

Suga~ Bummer! Although you have said you were planning on waiting a while for some reason I want everyone to live in my craziness! You still never know. My fingers are still crossed!

Kimi~ Seriously???? Anytime is a good time for me! Annelise would love to have her as well. She cannot get enough girly time in with her best buddies. As for your crazy baby, in the womb Annelise was soooo wild and Bodie hardly moved. Now they are the opposite since birth. Go figure? With this one, he is pretty busy as well so I'm hoping he'll be mellow too. Can't wait to find out!
The Kitchen Aid Mixer. . . . LOVE!!!!!!!!!!! I have had mine for about 8 years and seriously spit shine that thing and hug it when I use it! Not really but I do love it! My only regret was I didn't get the bigger one. I have the middle version and would have preferred teh bigger one for holidays and maker larger batches of stuff to freeze. Love that you have your holiday list going already! Goodgirl! :D

Gotta run quickly. . ..

I will take the test (I got 2) in another week or so just to make sure. I still feel funky.

Thanks for the info on the teething things. I will have to look into stores around here that have em. Kenzie waking up at 5AM is killing me! And them not napping well is killing me even more!!! Seriously, what happened to them being such awesome nappers?!?!

Hi ladies! I am expecting twins in August. I have some questions about strollers. Hoping someone here can help me. I feel like I have a million questions, so I apologize in advance!

Is it necessary that the stroller hold car seats with newborns/infants? Don't most of them have the head bumpers that can be removed once the babies are bigger? It seems like maybe having them hold car seats is a convenience so you don't have to take them from the car seat and put them in the stroller. Is that right?

I'd like one that I can use to exercise with. The Graco DuoGlider LXI holds two car seats, has cup holders, etc., but is it good to run/walk with? I really like the Bumbleride Indie Twin, but it doesn't hold car seats and I don't know if that's a big deal or not. Both seats do lay flat, which would seem to be a bonus.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated! Thank you so much!

cocosmomma: I know on here a lot we have talked about the notorious strollers so you can look back if you wish. I have a Graco Duo and I would recommend it just because the car seats can go in and out of it. I have to do a lot of doctors appts and errands on my own so I needed that when they were smaller and could not hold themselves up yet. However, now that they are bigger I am most likely going to get a Combi Savvy. As for exercising with the Graco, I can not see running with it. Walks are ok as long as it is not in the mountains on dirt and rocks and such. No off-roading lol. A lot of people like the double running stroller for exercising as most strollers come with the plastic wheels but the running ones do not. I would say it is a lot easier at first, when they are little, to have a stroller that holds the seats but not necessary if you have someone to help you.

But, congrats on the twins!!!

Ok, I need help with naps. All you babywise moms out there! They keep wanting to wake up after 45 minutes each nap. They get over tired after than and it just gets worse as the day progresses. Any suggestions? I think that is why Kenzie is waking up at 5:30 because she had bad naps the day before. I need another room so I can split them up during nap time. *sigh* I can not wait till we get a house!

Kimi--I too, LOVE my Kitchen Aide mixer...definitely worth the $$$$. I have the "regular" sized one. It's big enough for me. I guess it depends on how much you bake. Even at holiday time, it is big enough for me. Oh, and as for cookie making? I ALWAYS do the cookie making on a day when I was going to mop anyway...figure might as well REALLY make it worth it, right?

Kholtan--You crack me up...I seriously think you want all of us to get preggo again! You're a baby nutt! I'm going to stay OUT of that race for a while! ha ha!

Cocosmmomma--Congrats! Like someone said, we have REALLY discussed strollers in great length on this board. I think we've done it two or three times already! Seriously! Take a look back at some of the earlier threads and see if that helps. I know that early on I had the double snap-n-go. I also have a double jogger. I run with my kiddos a LOT (even these days when they're nearly 25 pounds each!), so it's definitely gotten it's wear. These days, I have a Chicco side-by-side stroller. I like it well enough. Lightweight and easy to maneuver. I never got the Gracco duoglide, so I can't help you there. good luck with whatever you decide! I know I saw a REALLY cool one by Kolcraft (Ithink?). It was a front-back stroller, and the seats could swivel and change directions. Never used it, but it looked really cool!
