cocsmomma~ I was a snap-n-go girl myself. I figure you have to have infant car seats and I needed something easy to use with them. It folds up great and was easy to sell to another twin mommy when I was done. Now for a side-by-side I have a McClaren and it's fine for stores and stuff but I LOVE my double BOB jogger stroller. Well worth every penny for outside use and I purchased the cup holders attachment for it. I seriously think with twins you just need two strollers for different reasons. My McClaren stinks in grass or at parks with rocks but the BOB is a dream. Good luck and be sure to read as many reviews as you can and to fold them up yourself for trial and error.

Kim~ I may be baby crazy but I think with a little time we could have you talked into it! Do you have the attachment for your Kitchen aid that stops stuff from flying out of the edge? That's my biggest issue???

Suga~ Naps??? It's so hard to say because my kids were lovers of their naps. Looking back I THINK I just kept trying to keep them on the three hour thing because they eventually got a great rythym down. Mine napped often though for about an hour a shot for a long time. I mean like 5 naps a day easy until about 6 months. It's so hard to recall??? Good luck!

Speaking of teeth. . . I was tickling Bodie tonight and he has another molar already cut and the other will most likely cut tomorrow! That's four in two weeks! They look so big in his tiny little head! The other thing is that I think I love 18 months the most so far. My kids are sooooooo funny now days. Today I would close my eyes and make a kissing sound and one or both would run from different places in the room to kiss me and I would pretend to guess who it was. . . We were laughing so hard! Plus, when I ask them something they answer now. "Bodie, would you like to get cleaned up?" and he drags out this "Ummmmmmm. . . SURE!" with a head nod. Annelise just spends her day bossing us around and telling us what things are all about. She is such the informer! What a sweet age!

Better run~ Nighty night!

Ugh. Mackenzie woke up AGAIN at 5:30 this morning. I am going to die here shortly. I think, honestly, it is because she is not napping well during the day. So I am going to play around with the 4 hour schedule. If it gets worse, then I will revert back. How much worse can it get though, seriously lol. I mean, cranky, not wanting to sleep, their eyes are blood shot they are so tired...ugh.

I mean this morning I went ahead and got them up and fed them at 6:30. They were ready for a nap at 7AM so I put them to bed. (Mind you they had been up since 5:30ish). Then Mackenzie woke up at 8AMish and puked all over me in my bed...I was trying to get her back to sleep without waking up her sister. Did not work. So I cleaned up the puke and put her in the swing. Brooke was awake now pooping. So I cleaned her up from the poop and Mackenzie was rubbing her eyes and Brooke was making her tired noise. I put them back to bed (it is now 8:50ish). Brooke screamed for like 2 minutes and is now passed out. Mackenzie is talking in there, I am making her stay till she falls asleep lol. They are due to eat at 10 but I will let them sleep if they are still sleeping. I will feed them at 11 at the latest. I am going to try the 2 hours awake 2 hours asleep thing. We will see if that works. Baby Wise says at 6 or 7 months they are ready for the 4 hours (if they are sttn, which they are, kinda...dream feed still). So we will give it a try.

I am jealous of those out there with their mixers. I have wanted a 5QT FOREVER but we just do not have the money. Once the hubby goes full time, I think I will ask for it for Christmas this year
:D I think it should be illegal to charge that much for a mixer. But I want all the attachments, the pasta maker and such.

Buckeye: The schedule is (was they are not following it!)
Wake 7AM and eat
Nap 8:15
Wake and Eat 10:30
Nap 12
Wake and eat 2PM
Nap 3:30
Wake 5:30
Eat 6PM
Bedtime 7PM

I think I will try to go to 4 hour to see if they are just not staying awake long enough? Good idea or bad idea? (starting at 7 of course)

Suga~ Don't know what to tell you at all! Sorry! Whatever you do try I would say to try it for a week or so at least though. It takes a while to develope a pattern for them. Sorry I'm no more help.

Funny story about the mixer. . .when my Dad was 8 (57 years ago) and living on their farm in Montana in the middle of nowhere, my grandma was making something in her Kitchen Aid mixer and got her hand caught. It nearly ripped her hand off and my Dad had to drive her (yes, at 8!) clear in to town to the hospital to have the mixer removed. Well, my Uncle still has that mixer and uses to this day. My Grandma used it ALL the time! It's a vintage white one that has NEVER broken down and it's over 60+ years old! I would say they are an investment for sure. What other mixer can say that???

Kholtan--funny story! My grandma's mixer outlived her....she passed away a few years ago, and my aunt STILL uses her mom's mixer! BTW--yes, I do have the spill shield. Came with mine. Although, I tend to not use it that much...kind of gets in my way.

suga--not sure what to tell you. Here's a rough schedule as to where mine were around that age (I'm going by memory here, so don't shoot me if I'm off a bit!)

Wake--around 7ish. Had a bottle.
8sh--Breakfast, playtime...lots of tummy time!
Nap--around 10ish.
Usually woke around 11:30 or so. Ate lunch soon after.
Nap--around 2:30 or so.
woke up around 4 or so.
Snack--bottle and something simple.
Dinner--around 5:30 or 6:00
Bedtime--7:00 or 7:30 (bottle before)

Don't know if that will help or not. It worked for us.

buckeye: Yeah mine are not ready for only 2 naps a day. That does sound good for when they are ready for that though!! Why did you do bottle then breakfast an hour later though??

Well I will ask for that for Christmas then. I need to start making dinners and such so we do not eat out. I want the girls to be raised health conscience. My mom has a mixer from like the 70s?? It is still going strong as well!! They are a great investment. We just need the money to invest haha!

Well they have napped a little better today, speaking of, nap time!

Suga~ I nursed my kids before breakfast as well. I don't know why but I just thought that the milk was the most important thing to get in them and if I spaced it out just a little then the babies still ate a ton of solids. I also nursed them a little afterwards thinking that they would like some milk to sort of "wash it down". This is my hairbrain theory and not based on anything other than gut instinct.

Away for a day and I miss so much!!

suga~I know with my boys the napping is horrible if they havent slept well at night. When they are fussy at night I know the next day is shot. Maybe if you solve the sleep at night first, the naps will follow naturally. Just a suggestion! Also, somedays I throw the Babywise book out the window! For example, the boys were overly tired from last night...so I skipped the second waketime and they napped the whole 2.5 hours. Major no-no in Babywise world, BUT we know what our babies need!!!!

kholtan~Love, love the mixer story!!! That totally cracked me up! So, DH makes the comment a couple of nights ago he would love to have a little girl. ANd that has got me thinking, something I should not do!!!!!!!! But, I would love another...I always thought I would have a family of 5! Only problem, I have the worst eggs and no frozen embies from IVF!! Hopefully some of this 'natural' baby dust will spread to the Southeast!!!

Cocosmomma~I have the Graco double stroller, that the car seats snap in. I wouldnt have it any other way in the beginning. The babies are so small it is hard to get them in and out of the car seat. But, I am about to upgrade to the BOB. kholtan has me convinced, and I want one that is more all terrain. Congratulations and welcome to the group!!

tolbee~thanks for the comment about our house. It is a work in progress. I know Seatle is awesome, but I need to be around the sun!! Speaking of, it was 80 here on Tuesday and snowed today...UGH!!!

I was looking at the calendar this week, trying to plan a vacation, and realized that Mother's Day and my 30th birthday is the same day!! What a big day, my first mother's day and the big 3-0. I am so excited for both...as my cousin said last week when she turned 30, 30 is the new 20...just less stupid!!! LOLOLOL!!!!

Courtney: Mine are the opposite. If the naps fall in line then the night sleep falls in line...they sleep horrible if they are over tired and did not nap well that day. I too let them sleep 2.5 hours if they need it. What was your fertility problem again?? Something wrong with your eggs? In my case, they had a hard time getting my eggs to maturity. My birthday sometimes falls on Mothers Day (I was born on Mothers Day) May 11!

Hi All!

I am hoping my babies will be kind and give me some moments to post! oh wait, Noah's crying... oh that's because Alyson's pulling his hair. Now, they are chasing each other and giggling. Ok, that should last about 30 secs.

I am sold guys on mixer! So, by the sound of it, you guys recommend a large size? We have four kids, so I am thinking it should be large. Which color do you guys have? There are so many colors, I guess us girls like having choices! Suga, the money is the reason why I've postponed buying one, too. I've been wanting it for years! My husband got a nice bonus for some kind of achievement award thing, so maybe we can finally buy one!

Suga -- sorry about the drama in the morining. That must have been hard. Yeah I think that is a good idea to play around with their schedule to see if it needs adjusting. We went through many of those. I think they'll probably change soon. Mine are not necessarily on the same schedule nap-wise during the day. Sometimes, Alyson skips her second nap but I decided not to stress about it. They both sleep well at night anyways. Let us know how you go.

Kimberly -- oh my gosh your poor grandma! But that same blender still works huh? That is some history to a little kitchen appliance! I will remember to be careful with that story! I sometimes have a vision of sticking my hand in the garbage disposal when it's running! Odd things I imagine...

Buckeye -- So, is the shield guard a must for the mixer? Does it come with the standard purchase? There are so many attachments as well. Do you make anything other than sweets with the mixer? Christamas cannot come soon enough now. When my DH gave me this big box for Christmas last year, I thought it's a mixer and I was alll excited. He gave me a fancy rice cooker and I use it almost everyday so he did well, but I hope I hit the jackpot this year.

cocsmama - I have a Graco DuoGlider that can accomodate two infant carseats and BOB double stroller. I think these two items are must haves in my opinion. It's nice to be able to drop the carseat in since you would not have to wake the babies up when you transfer from car to stroller. It's also compact so nice for mall visits and crowded places. BOB is nice for jogging (I haven't done this yet) and even for hiking. It's built like a mountain bike and just so smooth. My kids love it. Good luck!

Courtney - I want to bottle the tap water we drink and send it to you when you are ready for another one! My neighborhood is full of babies and someone's always pregnant. I was told the only way to have babies is by IVF and look what happened. I recommend BOB, too! It's AWESOME! I bought from eBay for about $60 cheaper than the regular retail price. They rarely go on sale, so you should check it out! What a special day you are going to have in May! Some pressure's on your DH?! :D

I posted on my blog, but I had to let go one of my cats yesterday. :( Sad day for me. We had him for 4 and half years and he started to have behavioral problems after having kids. He was so stressed out and started to have soft stools and sometimes pooped on kids toys and beds... Luckily, the Vet he goes to agreed to take him and find a nice home for him. Being around screaming kids were stressing him out. We are happy, he's not going to be put down and find a suitable home for him. We just miss him a lot... :(

Anyway, I didn't type this at one go, of course. In the meantime, I fed them bottles and put them down for a nap! What a bunch of busy moms we are. Sometimes, don't you want to give yourself an award??

Have a good weekend everyone!

Seriously, tonight I am putting Mackenzie in the porta-crib in the living room BY HERSELF! She woke up last night (well this morning) at 3AM and talked till 4:30! WHY!? Then she is awake enough to where she moves all around in her crib and gets her head caught on the bars (well near them) or a foot or a hand and then needs help....So in the porta-crib there are no bars to get stuck in thus she is sleeping in that tonight in the living room, where I can not hear her over the monitor! Of course, I can still hear her if she cries but she does not cry, SHE TALKS! I even tried giving her Tylenol (bad mommy I know) to see if that would help her get drowsy, NOPE! I thought it was teething, I do not believe that to be the case either. No sign of it. Why is she doing this?!?! I mean she naps great her first nap because of it so whatever. She took good naps yesterday as well, so maybe another day of good naps will help? I dunno.

I have to take the car in today to get the oil changed. Hopefully they do not take forever...ugh.

Ok, I need to vent, and you ladies are my outlet! I apologize in advance!

To start though, I got more sleep last night. However, I woke myself up. UGH! Kenzie was sucking on her thumb at 4AM but not talking, so I went back to bed. I have no idea is she chatted after that as I passed out. Brooke woke up at 6:30 which was ok I suppose. I can tell Kenzie got more sleep though because she was not as tired this morning as she has been in the past week.

ANYWHOO here is the venting. My husband, I love him to death. However last night was just it for me. I came home from the grocery store with a few things that we needed plus a few extras. I wanted Lucky Charms and a Reece's Peanut Butter Cup! So I got them. He gives me the NASTIEST look I have seen from his face. I break down right then and there. He hugs me and says what is the matter and I just walk away. I skip dinner I do not want to deal with it. Later on that night we are laying in bed (yes I finally made the plunge and moved back in our room for good) and he states he can not let me go to bed mad. I say that I am not mad I am upset. He says why...and I tell him that it sucks to know your husband thinks you are fat and disgusting. He does not disagree with me...so that hurt even more. He says, well, what can I do to help? This just upsets me more. To know that he thinks I am fat and NEED to lose weight. He says he knows it is from the fertility drugs and babies and such and harder to lose with PCOS and I just look at him. UGH to me, those should not be excuses. I tell him I do not have any excuses because I am not eating the way I should but when I am stressed I want to eat. And I am stressed lately over not getting enough sleep, always doing everything with the girls on my own, not getting any time to myself, him thinking I am fat...etc etc. Long story shot, he did not come out and say I was fat but every time I said that he thought I was fat he did not disagree. So annoying. Now I just want to starve myself.

Suga~ Oh sweet girl! Your stories are so familiar to me! :D I know the man you speak of for sure but I have to be honest that I created my own monster! Look at it this way, he doesn't lie to you about it and if you don't think you look your best then he probably doesn't either but he obviously still loves you regardless. When I make comments about getting bigger my man usually will make some sarcastic comment like "Me too!" or "Well, you body won't change on it's own babe." My dh isn't about to say he thinks I look good in fear that I will get happy with my body and stay that way. I do prefer the honesty even though it sometimes hurts to hear. Use it as a motivator not a discourager.
You can do it! A little lucky charms won't kill ya either but it certainly won't help. :D When you decide you are going to lose the weight you will but it sounds to me like you aren't really wanting to do it yet?? I think we have all been in your shoes though. Good luck and I'll be needing the pep talk in three months! :D

We had an appointment today and the official c-section is now June 26. Our hospital has changed their policy from being able to do scheduled c-sections at 38 weeks to 39. Let's hope I make it! All is well and this little man is a busy bee!
It's raining and nasty here so I think we wil do a whole lot of nothing for the rest of the day. :D

Kholtan: HOLY COW! Your baby is right around the corner! I hope you make it to 39 as well, if not, oh well! (Well of course, at least 37 weeks!). So did you decide you wanted another section versus V-Bac?? If so, why. I am always wondering what I will want to do if I have a singleton next time.

As far as weight goes, I would rather him be honest as well. It stinks but I would rather him be honest. I think I am still not ready to lose weight because I am so dang tired all the time and do not have time in the day to make me breakfast, lunch, dinner. Now that the girls are napping better though, I can see me having time to do it sooner rather than later. I think this honestly gave me the kick I need. I mean, I have know that I need to lose the weight, but this really did it. It is sad when you do not know the person in the picture because that is not how you see/want to see yourself.

On another note, Mackenzie slept better last night. She was still in the living room. I woke up at 4AM for Lord only know why, so I got up and check on her. She was sucking her thumb. However, when it was time to get up for the day, she was much more awake than she has been the past week so I think she is getting the hint that nighttime is boring and there is no point to be awake. I will move her back in her room once I know she is sleeping through because I do not want to hear her on the monitor!

Anyways, time to make dinner for the adults before the girls wake up from their nap and want their own dinner.

Suga~ I hear ya about being worn out from doing everything for everyone else and not yourself! I started to gain a little weight before even getting pg and I swear I just needed to make the time for myself but hadn't been motivated enough yet. Hopefully after this one is born I won't wait too long to get some "me" time in.
Don't be hard on yourself either. Your body has been thru a lot and you will certainly do it when the time is right. Us women are never happy with our figures but it's important to keep realistic.
Glad to hear the girls are sleeping so much better. MAkes a big difference huh? Are you still thinking you are feeling funny? Any more pg symptoms at all?
I do think that I will go for the c-section though unless I go into labor earlier and then who knows??

I better go for a while because I recently got hooked on facebook and it is killing me! It's all so addicting that if I don't get off the computer somedays I don't get a thing done. Thank goodness the weather is getting better and we are outside more.
Oh, last thought. . . myOB said if I wanted my one tube tied while getting my c-section that he could easily do it?!?!? Torn!!!!!

Suga -- So sorry you are feeling down. I was the same way after having the babies. I always had brownies around and baked them once in three days so I won't run out. If there is another way to release your stress, then that would be ideal so that you don't have to feel guilty about it. But don't be hard on yourself though... Whatever helps to get you through the stressful time, you can always lose weight later! Ok, I am not helping you much am I? But that's the way I felt when I was going through the brownie phase. You will feel amazing energy once you are getting full night sleep. When that happens, you can tackle your weight issue! Maybe you an DH should have a long walk together and talk about it. Glad your girls are sleeping better!

Alyson has this lovey bunny that she just adores. She sleeps with it, but then she tosses it out the crib and screams in the middle of the night for someone to pick it up for her . Do you have any idea what to do about that? My boys do not have strong attachment to things and it's very so cute that she hugs it and rolls around with it on the floor, but hmmm... no fun to go fetch it for her at 3 am like last night. That woke me up completely and could not fall asleep anymore.

Kimberley -- I started to pack up boy clothes for your little one. Some were passed on by someone else so obviously somewhat worn out and if you don't want them you can donate them. My baby and yours are exactly about 2 months different. My scheduled C-section is April 27 at 7:30 am. I am also hoping that I will make it to 39th week! I delivered Sean at 39 weeks, so I think it will be ok. Can you believe it, I only have like 6 weeks left! I look at my 13 month-olds and cannot believe that they are going to be big bro and big sis! They are going to be toughies! I really should buy one of those, I am a big brother/sister shirts for the kick of it. I am on facebook as well. I will look for you and send you a friend request.

Well, apart from sleep deprivation, I am pretty good! Aly is doing well with the tot collar thing and my Varicose vains are a little better with the extremely tight, ugly, Mrs. Daughtfire like panty hose. I am excited that spring is coming and finally starting to see more sunshine and light jacket weather.

Hope everyone's doing well.
