Hello ladies!
How are you doing? I'm in good shape! It's always exciting to start a new phase of the cycle. This morning after I gave myself the Lupron shot, I could not help but start dancing in front of the bathtub as my DH was getting out of the shower, singing on the Guantanamera song "Half-dose of Lupron! I got a half-dose of Lupron! Half dose of Luuuuuuuproooooon, I got a half-dose of Luuuuprooooon!" Tee hee hee... I'm still planning on starting the egg food tonight.
I read the IBS-help website more carefully and really, the stuff there kinda rocked my world. I had no idea that there were so many universal trigger foods for IBS. It gives me GREAT hope and I've started to make rather radical changes right away in my diet. I had not been eating much anyway since Wednesday because whatever I ate, I got symptoms and/or crises! So I figured what the heck... I'll do their "calm your gut down" protocol the best I can without compromising my diet too much (I'll start growing my babies tonight after all) and I'll re-integrate some foods gradually following their guidelines. We'll see how it goes.
Aunty: You might want to check that website anyway dear; their guidelines work with both types of IBS... the D and the C... I'll let you figure the letters!

And you might definitely want to check it since you use the high bran diet, because it's all in the
way you use it that can make all the difference in the world. Eating All Bran cereals is radically different from taking Metamucil for example, and I had no idea it made such a difference until I read that website. And thanks for the PMA; I'm not really worried about IBS misbehaving during my pregnancy, because I got the D type... I'm more worried about it right now as I take all kinds of meds that definitely have an impact on it. About my PM; did you get it? I'm glad to see your ticker change every day; egg food is approaching! I send tons of patience your way!
Nouna: thanks on the wishes! Let me know how your suppression check went!
Fed: hehehee I didn't know there was an eggie-grow dance! Ooooh sounds fun!

Thanks for your wishes sweetie! Congrats on giving yourself all the shots, what a trooper! Woohoo!

I'm sorry to hear that your skin reacts that way to the Repronex shots... have you tried the strategies on the IVF hints website?
phx: Congratulations on your 11 eggs fertilized! Wow! sorry to hear that you're left in the dark like that; must not make the waiting process any easier!

The answers will come, they will, and in the meantime I'm with you in thoughts! Either way, your perfect little embies won't just be left there; they will find their way back home one way or the other!
jodic: what a
terrible couple of days you just went through! Poor thing; I shuddered when I heard your story; it sounded so painful! You also sounded very brave through all this despite the pain and worries. I read that nausea/vomiting and ovarian torsion are possible "side effects" of OHSS... I'm so sorry! I really hope the meds they gave you will help you control the pain better! Please keep us posted if you can; I feel for you, big time (your story reminds me of when I was in pain like you but because of three abscesses the size of grapefruits), and you have all my sympathy and thoughts. I hope the situation clears out soon.
SilvaCharm: you will know today about your transfer date, right? I think it's amazing that your clinic has the skills and equipment to let your embies mature as much as they can. You must be looking forward to have them back home! Keep us posted; I'll check the board often to have news from you sweetie!
cookholmes: hello darling! Thanks for the good thoughts!

Wow, look at that, 24 follies! No wonder you're a little bloated! tee hee hee... I've kind of lost weight since the beginning of this adventure, or so it seems when I look at my tummy in the mirror, and it's hard for me to imagine that in a couple of days, I will be all bloated again! EC on Monday, wow, that's coming! How are you preparing for it? I'm with you in thoughts.
Haylie: thanks for the thoughts; I'll tell you tonight.
Macca: grow follies, grow! Hang in there, it's almost time for EC! yippee! Those numbers look fab!
Shantala, my sweet, as always, first thing is a *hug*! And thanks for your good thoughts! Glad you're looking at the website; I'd like your impressions about it when you have a second. oooooooooh the possibility you might start in Feb is sooo exciting! When will you know for sure? I think your attitude is the best, preparing for March anyway, but gosh... that must be whirring at the back of your mind all the same! I really wish you to have a nice surprise! *jumps up and down*
To all the others, I hope you're doing okay and are in a good mood! Gotta get my next patient...
Take care guys, and have a lovely day!
Sophie
