Babyluv – I am finally able to see your pictures because I logged on with my DH’s laptop instead of my work computer! And, I have to say you have some very good looking kids! Your older two are going to be some heart breakers … lol. And, I know the twins will be too! Congrats again!

Good morning ladies!

Katie-I love the pics of you, Chris, and Ryan!! Thanks for sharing your labor story and yes there was definitely some DRAMA!!! I would totally freak out if I felt the scalpel as they are about to cut you open!!! Thank goodness they put you under or else your BP would have been through the roof!!! Please spend as much time as you need staring at Ryan and savoring every moment of this joyous miracle!! I know you talked about trying again soon for another one-I know it's early but have you thought of a timeframe? I also want to try right away so I have two close in age but that could change once Flick arrives!

Babyluv-look at that amazing head of hair on the twins!!! Love the pics of the four kids!! Can't wait to see more. Yeah for losing so much of your weight and your stomach will shrink in no time. My BF who is literally 90 pounds warned me of the flabby stomach but says it goes away quickly

Angela-glad that Gabriella's stomach grew and you don't have to go on BR! When do you go back for another measurment. It's so nice you have a definite date to look forward to. That's the hardest part about this-not knowing when the Flickster is going to arrive!!!

Gi-i love hearing the stories about Jason bribing Kayla to come out!!! Every time I call my DH on the phone he thinks it's time for delivery!!! You better learn how to post pics in the upcoming week so that we can see your baby bundle once she arrives!

AFM...Had the best time at our maternity shoot! I posted some pics (they are all belly covered but I will soon add the just belly shots for you as well). After our photo shoot we met up with friends and I literally went home and passed out at 8:00!!! I am definitely feeling changes-lower pressure, cramping, lower backaches and just hoping this is a good sign that Flick may arrive a little early! I go to DR tomorrow morning to see if there is any progress! xoxo

So sorry I haven't been on here sooner to say a huge congratulations to babyluv and Katie. Your photos of the totally gorgeous babies have put a big smile on my face in what has been an otherwise sombre week.

Katie - I swear, you and I have had such similar pregnancies/births! Both similar pregnancy issues with heartburn, both growing big boys, both induced 11 days overdue, both needing more epidural (for me, the drugs were simply ineffective until they topped them up for the fourth time!), both needing assistance for the delivery after going through however many hours of labour and both not having effective pain blocks initially in theatre (my anaesthetist thought I was being silly when I asked when the spinal block would take effect, just as the surgeon was getting ready to do the episiotomy cut, because he said it would have already taken effect - I panicked him by lifting my legs off the table to prove otherwise!). I'm sorry you had to end up with a c-section, but I know that it was all totally worth it for you to hold Ryan in your arms. He is just the most precious thing, I'm so pleased that it's all going well for you since getting him home. What a wonderful and blessed thing motherhood is.

Babyluv and Steph - I'm amazed at how well you are both dealing with the demands of twins. I can barely keep my head above water with one baby, let alone contemplate life with two newborns and with older children at home as well. Well done SuperMums!

Angela, gi and others - I'm so happy to read that things are going smoothly, not long until there are more thread babies!

Claudia - amazing pictures!

AFM, it has been an emotional couple of weeks. Dad's funeral was last Thursday, and Mum and I were overwhelmed with the number of people who came to pay their respects. The love and support we have both received from family and friends has been very humbling. Mum then came home with us on Friday and is staying for a week, but after that she wants to go back to her home had start dealing with things at the house. She's also going to take one of the dogs with her for company and cuddles, which I'm really pleased about. Before then, I'm madly trying to go through all the paperwork for the bank accounts and bills etc, as everything was in Dad's name and needs transferring over so that the house can continue to run without things getting cut off etc, plus I'm the executor under the will so I'm trying to deal with the estate as well - it hasn't been a good time for George to decide that daytime sleeping is totally for wimps, and that he'd prefer just to stay awake and be carried around by Mummy all day! I'll miss Mum when she goes back home, and so will George, who has totally fallen in love with her! He's doing well, and growing like a weed. He's now 7 weeks old and already nearly filling his 0-3 month clothes with his feet! I'm going to try and get him weighed this week but I think he must easily be over 12 lbs by now- my arms certainly ache carting him around!

Sara, babyluv and Katie,
Your babies are gorgeous!!!!! I am so happy they all came out to meet momma!

gi,
you are next my friend. I will be waiting on your news.

Claudia,
You are getting close and your pics are great!

afm,

ok, call me crazy girls, but my dh has an appt with Urology to talk about sperm aspiration......we may decide to do one more cycle. We have some insurance coverage and tried to push it through this year but labs shuts down 2 weeks in Dec/Jan. so now we are unsure (deductible was meant for this year, so out of pocket would have been minimal, of course I am sure Dh's procedure will not be covered). So now we have to decide if we do another cycle after the first of the year, new deductible etc. Part of me so wants to cycle again and part of me doesn't want to. I wonder how much of my desire is fueled by what would have been my EDD in 6 days. So my dh has an appointment on Nov 30, 2 1/2 hrs from home (Urologist ofc is right next to IVF ofc). soooo, we have a little bit to decide what we are going to do, or even if he is going to keep his appointment. Part of me feels that I would be pushing my luck, maybe its not in my future to have a third child (seems greedy I know). Sigh, I am emotional mess.

miss you all,

Ronda

Hi girls,

Hazel such tough times for you at the moment but i am glad little George is there to pull you thro, also i am glad to hear you mam is taking one of the dogs for company they really are a mans best friend and might be a teeny bit of a distraction. George sounds like he is flying along cant believe he is 7 wks!!

Katie ah you and your family are gorgous and ye look just so happy, i just cant wait for that feeling too hell i am already getting emotional thinking about it. Thanks for asking i am feeling great a little bit slower maybe but thats all I honestly thought i would be feeling more "heavily pregnant" than i do now so i reckon i wont mind too much if she is late...hmmm though ask me that in a wks time!!

babyluv your kids are just gorgous and i am glad to hear all is well and you are recovering well.

Claud love your pics!! Jason is gonna try email me my pregnancy photos tomorrow and i will try again to download them i swear i am crap at these things even though Steph gave me instructions a while ago. Less than 3 wks for you girl how are you feeling???

Angela thank goodness Gabriella has had a growth sprout and all is still well if we can get you to at least 36 wks so the chances of the Nicu is slimmer would be great.

Steph ah the night feeds much be so much rougher with twins, i understand that Andrew needs to have sleep we will be in the same boat jason has very early morning starts usually between 4am -6am and works 12 hr days so I will be doing the night feeds during the week and he will take over at the weekends. Also he has a tendancy to sleep walk and chat away to you but never remembers so not sure i fully trust him with a baby  I am such a light sleeper any way so i may as well be up.

Ronda just saw your post. Will be thinking of you over the weekend as we were due together along with lou. Dont feel that its greedy to want a 3rd child its only natural and I am sure after such a late loss you feel like you are missing something. Go with whatever your heart wants, have no regrets, maybe one more cycle will put closure on ivf .....or give you another baby and a bunch of frozen ones

AFM so last wk for a day or 2 i thought i was finally starting to feel "heavily pregnant" but the last few days i feel great and feel i will be able to cope well if she decides to stay in for as long as possible, as long as she keeps moving around i am content. Have an OB appt tomorrow so Please God all is still well, i reckon they will get me back next wk and then give me an induction date. Have to admit i am getting a bit bored though after 9 mths of sick leave and taking it easy i feel sooooo ready to be a busy Mom

gi xx
7th IVF finally our precious miracle girl Kayla born 24/11/10, 8th IVF FET Sept 2012 BFP!!!

Hi girls,

Katie -- Beautiful pictures. Ryan is just perfect! Congrats.

babyluv -- Congrats x 2  Your babies are gorgeous.

Sara -- Congratulations mama!!!

Gi -- You're next woman! So excited for you. Wishing you a wonderful birth experience. Thanks for crashing the Fall thread and thinking of me.

Claudia -- I'll be thinking of you Thanksgiving weekend for sure. What does your gut tell you? Girl or Boy??? I'm gonna guess BOY!

Ronda -- Hi sweetie! Thanks for thinking of me. Meds would be great... I'm hoping someone from the Fall thread will come through. I did get a bit of Follistim and a few vials of Menopur though. How are you?

AFM -- Wondering if this will ever happen for me. I get so depressed sometimes especially as my due date was 11/17. I wish we weren't self pay. Then we could afford more cycles. Even if I just had the meds covered it would be a BIG help. Send me some left over baby dust... will ya girls? I can't cycle again until January because I'm travelling for work 12/5-12/9 and my clinic closes the last two weeks of December. So it will be a January cycle for me, unless.... all this "trying on our own" happens to actually work. RE gave me 5-8% odds of that happening each cycle but I'd like to think with the acupuncture and supplements we're taking that maybe gets me to 10%... that means over three months, we've got about a 25% chance. That sounds A LOT better than 5-10%, doesn't it? Love you all. XOXO

Babyluv- sorry I missed you on my last post. Your twins are beautiful and so is your DS and DD. They look so happy to be holding their new siblings. What do they think of the twins?

Katie- phew what a story! I read it to DH and cried.

Hazel- You have had such a few rough weeks my friend. I am glad your mum took a dog for comfort. Here in the states they use dogs at some nursing homes and such to lift spirits. I think doggie kisses can cure lots! Big hugs for you honey.

AFM- OB apt today. Up 2lbs since last apt. That still leaves me at 4lbs down since I got pregnant. No protein or sugar in the urine. GTT is scheduled for next week. Everything is looking good. Right now baby girl is breech but the Dr said that was fine and she has lots of time to flip around. Then he asked me how I felt about being induced. He is worried about DH being on a flight when I go into labor or there being a bad blizzard. Last year at the same time we got one of the worst blizzards on record. I guess I feel ok about it. So let me ask you ladies...especially those who have had more than one. Do you think there is a big difference in being induced or going naturally? My fear is going into labor in the middle of the night, during a blizzard with DH not in town. UGH.
Well, that's it for me today. I STILL have to start painting the nursery but I am getting all of the scrapbook supplies boxed up. :? I hope you are all doing well. XOXO

Claudia – you two make such a great looking couple … I just love your pictures! Your countdown is on too so I’m not surprised that you are starting to feel symptoms of your impending delivery! You already pasted 37 weeks … whoo hoo!!! And after seeing your pictures, I think you are having a boy!

Hazel – It is great to hear from you and once again I just want to say how sorry I am for the lost of your dad. I know this is a really tough time for you and your family but please stick together and lean on each other for support. It sounds like George is growing like a weed. I know you are just so proud and happy to finally have him in your arms.

Ronda – I have to say that reading your post brought a big smile to my face because you are seeing your dreams out. No, I don’t blame you for seeing where this road takes you and I will be here cheering you on all the way. I really hope you get good news after your appointment. As I have told Lou, I would suggest taking some time to yourselves on your due date because it can be quite emotional. I was warned for both of my ectopic pregnancy and my stillbirth and I didn’t listen and my day was an emotional mess. I went to work anyway and cried all day. I wish the both of you a lot of peace on your EDD but remember we are always here for you!

Gi – Yes, I agree with you, if I can keep Gabriella in there until at least 36 weeks, I will feel much better. I know how you feel about being pregnant for so long … I am so anxious these days because I feel like I have been pregnant for two years straight because I was just pregnant with Ashley last year until 21 weeks. So I am definitely ready to meet Gabriella sometime soon!

Lou – I certainly understand the feeling of depression when it comes to having a baby and I want to warn both you and Ronda that I would suggest taking some time to yourselves on your due date because it can be quite emotional. I was warned for both of my ectopic pregnancy and my stillbirth and I didn’t listen and my day was an emotional mess. I went to work anyway and cried all day. I wish the both of you a lot of peace on your EDD but remember we are always here for you!

PA_FA – I am so glad that your OB appointment went well and yeah for no protein in your urine! My urine showed up with a small amount again but my OB isn’t too concerned because my BP has remained normal. I have been induced once and it wasn’t too bad. Towards the end I felt the contractions because they were coming back to back and I think the epidural wore off. But then again she only weighed 8 ounces, which is a big difference than having a 7 or 8 pound baby come out. From what I hear from other women, the biggest difference is the fact the contractions can come more often and stronger but remember that can be adjusted with a changed of the Pitocin drip. If I don’t go into labor by the time I reach 39 weeks, I will too be induced.

Annashope – Congrats on being PUPO! I have been following your story too! I can’t wait to hear about your positive results!

AFM – Another day down and looking forward for the next 5 weeks to fly by! During my OB appointment, my physician ordered a fetal Doppler flow study once a week so I had to schedule another appointment on top of the 3 weekly tests I already have. Oh well, as long as it keeps her safe and sound, I will do it.

Angela - Sounds like they are still keeping a very close eye on you. All the appts must be hectic but at least you have peace of mind right? :)

Pa - Sounds like you will not have much weight too lose after delivery. Actually, sounds like you might be like me and go down. I lost 40lbs within the first 2 weeks. I want to keep losing but I seem to be stuck there for now. Maybe it has to do with slowing down on the breastfeeding? To answer your question, I have to say as far as the pain goes, there is no difference. There is a chance that you might react differently, some get too many contractions... where your uterus doesn't really rest at all. If that happens though, all they do is turn the pitocin down. Sometimes being induced, labor can go by a little faster than on your own. I wouldn't worry about it if pain is what you are worried about. :)

Lou - You SO have all my baby dust! I know how you feel being all self pay. The only things covered under insurance for me was a few of the meds, like the progesterone with a copay. Stims and everything else wasn't and that really hurt us going through 3 cycles in a row. Thankfully I had an RE with a heart and he credited me a lot of the FET cycle that resulted in the twins, otherwise I would never have been able to do it. I really am hoping for a natural conception for you!

Gi - It is very normal to just want to be done with the pregnancy by now. lol Not only are you uncomfortable many times, but you just want to meet your baby already! :) Soon enough you will be a busy mom alright! I am sure Kayla will not only be a cutie pie but a handful like all newborns. ;)

Ronda - I so hope you can figure out a way to get what you want. I think another try will at least set your mind at ease so that you know you tried one last time. You, Lou and Karen are ALL getting all the baby dust I can find! ;)

Hazel - Glad to hear George is doing well! The twins are starting to become a handful.. or two rather lol since they are staying up a bit more. I think they are just getting spoiled, wanting to be held and rocked. Which by the way, is very hard when they both want held and rocked at the same time. lol My heart still goes out to you in regards to your father and the loss it is to you and your mum! I am sure with everything on your plate that you are super busy! I bet it is great to have George smiling back at you each day!

Claudia - Gorgeous photos! You are so tiny with such a perfect round belly! Can't wait to see more!

Babyluv - It is hard to keep both babies on the boob isn't it? lol I still stick them on from time to time when I know they just want a little and it would be pointless to make or heat up an ounce of food. I love the pics! The ones of all four are so cute! I can't believe how much hair the girls have! And don't worry about your belly. It will still shrink. Might not be what it use to be, but there is plenty of weight to lose the first two weeks especially. I lost 40lbs so if you have any left over, it might just be the last 10 for you. I had just one hormonal breakdown I think. That was in the hospital right after Ethan came back from getting cut and he was in pain and hungry. So when I tried to nurse him he was hurting and couldn't nurse well and I just felt so bad for him, I bawled like a baby. lol How are you healing? Do you have the tape on now that the staples are out? I hated those damn things! The sticky stuff he put on my belly to make them stick was a pain in the ass and then the tape themselves held a stench that I was so not happy with. I was glad to finally have those all fall off!

Katie - Ryan is such a cutie! His hair looks just like Ethan's, same blonde color. Chris looks like a natural and you, well you just look amazing! I wish I could have looked so damn good while in the hospital. lol I couldn't even get into the shower until the day I left. You are so much stronger than me. I set an appt for Ethan and Angelina for tomorrow. I think she might be spitting up and being so cranky because of some congestion. Last time I had a baby with congestion, it resulted in a hospital stay for three days. So I am hoping that they can just make her boogies go away and it isn't something serious. Ethan has an issue with his left eye that is bothering me. The doc at the 2 week check up said he probably just scratched it and it will be fine, but it keeps leaking and crusting up like pink eye. I know it isn't pink eye though, his eye looks fine other than the leakage and the other eye isn't effected at all, neither are anyone else's eyes. Hopefully they can give me an ointment or something for that. Plus, I would like to get a second opinion on his pecker. lol Hope you are healing well! How are you feeling?

AFM - I think I might have a side effect from the spinal now. My back is killing me! I will wait till my check up on the 22nd to ask about it though. I still get sharp pain shooting here and there and a little sore in my belly. Overall, still healing nicely or so I assume. :) Like I was telling Katie, I have an appt for the twins tomorrow. Angelina sounds congested and I think it is effecting her sleep and causing her to spit up. Ethan has a seepy left eye and I am hoping to get something to heal it up so it will stop crusting over. Andrew had an appt today, they think he might have had a brain injury in Iraq so they want him to get a scan of his brain, he was exposed to asbestos so a chest x-ray while he is there and they gave him more meds. One he takes on even days, the other on odd days. He doesn't know much about it, just that it helps his head. I told him he needs to pay attention and ask questions until he understands everything before accepting meds. He is actually on the couch next to me sleeping. Glad someone is getting rest. Anyway, I plan on taking some pics of the twins and the other pics from when they were 11 days old should be done soon. I can't wait to see the rest! I will post some soon! Take care mamas!!!

Claudia- I had to pop in here because everyone kept talking about how great your pics was and I was confused. I think everytime I log on I miss the very first post I had not read. So today I missed yours. :( Anyhow, I just went back and read it. Your pics are AMAZING! You are such a cutie pie! Your DH looks so happy. Kind of like the model couple that should be on a magazine cover. :P My favorite is the hands on the belly shot. I'm very excited for you to finally meet flick. It's so exciting "watching" all of you experience this. I know DH thinks I'm crazy. Everytime on of you go into labor I cry. Nuts that we've never met but you can still feel so close to someone. OK...off of the pregnancy hormones for me! :D You look beautiful Claudia and I can't wait to see more pics, especially when Flick arrives!

Hello ladies! I have my fingers crossed that this post actually works. I have posted twice in the past few days and got a server error both times. Frustrating

Katie-You need to start your posts with a warning: "Please have tissues handy-you will bawl after reading!" I think you put what we feel very nicely into words. We really are experiencing miracles and I love this group because everyone is so very in awe of it all. We are so lucky  You look great and Chris looks like a very proud papa! Ryan is beautiful-I can't get over his blonde hair. Your delivery story is such craziness-I would have freaked out if I could feel the scalpel! It stinks that Chris didn't get to be in the OR but he got to hold Ryan right away which makes it all better. I hope you are taking care-it is so hard to go slow and not overdo it. My body lets me know though when I've done too much.

Gi-You also need a warning for your posts: "Jason comment follows, be ready to pee yourself!" I of course laughed and it hurt so much I cried. I couldn't run to the bathroom fast enough-all major events after a c-section! I can't wait for Kayla to come and join the group-I know how excited you are and it won't be long now.

Angela-Yeah for no bedrest! I really struggled staying in the hospital for 2 weeks-I don't know how women go in for several weeks and stay sane. Both of our twins had abdomens that measured in the 8th and 9th percentiles. That was right before I delivered and they are both doing great. I am so glad Gabriella is doing well and it is exciting that you have an induction date-let the count down begin

Babyluv-I LOVE the picture of the kids together. It just melts my heart! The twins are beautiful as are your DD and DS. How is everyone adjusting? Do your older kids enjoy helping out with the girls? How are you recovering?

Stephanie-You are super mom! I know you are doing a great job and I feel for you that you have to do so much on your own with Andrew back at work. I think we are experiencing some of the same things right now-my Jake has so much eye crust that I was beginning to wonder about him. The doctor said he must be scratching at his face and irritating his eyes. We'll see-it seems to become more each day and I've tried to keep his hands covered. I also have back pain but I thought it was just from bending to pick up babies and the hunching from healing my stomach. I really never thought about issues from the spinal, interesting?! I can't wait to see new pics of your babies. I hope you are taking care of yourself!

Claudia-You took amazing pictures-so beautiful! My DD found pictures when I was pregnant with her and she thought that was the coolest thing-it is such a special memory to capture. It sounds like you are feeling the end getting near and it really won't be long. What happened with your job? Will your time change after the baby?

PA-I'm sorry you are so bored-I completely understand! It will be worth it but it doesn't make it any easier. As I'm sure you know after all our delivery stories-everyone is completely different and it's hard to tell you how it will go. I was induced with my DD-I got meds at 8:00 am, had her at 5:21 pm and only had serious pain for 20-30 minutes while I waited for the epidural to kick in. I waited until I was at 7 cm dilated before getting the epidural-I could've gotten it earlier and skipped most of the pain. But, if you read Hazel's and Katie's stories, sometimes being induced is tough stuff. Don't worry-however your baby comes, you will be so in love you really will get over the pain.

Ronda-I can't imagine how you feel as your due date approaches-my heart breaks for you. I'm glad you have started a conversation about trying again-I certainly don't think it's selfish to wish for a 3rd child. Follow your heart-we are all cheering for you!

Lou-Unfortunately we have all experienced that disappointment and heartache you are going through-I wish more than anything that is would be easier for your dreams to come true but please don't give up. We all want to hear the story of WHEN (not if) it happens for you. We are hear for you-cheering you on and reminding you that miracles can happen.

Hazel-You are dealing with so much right now-I am so sorry, I know it isn't easy  You are being very helpful to your mom and she is getting help out with George. I'm glad you've got each other to lean on. It sounds like George is one healthy boy-12 lbs?! Wow! It seems crazy that he is already 7 weeks old-where did the time go? Please take care of yourself-you're in my thoughts.

AFM-Well, I am doing well and loving every minute with the babies! It seems like I'm finally feeling more human these days. Recovery has been slow and rough going at times because of "little" issues I've had come up. I was allergic to the draping they used in surgery so I had a rash all over my belly that burns and itches. My BP is still out of control-my doc. just wants me to watch it because she thinks after recovery it should level out. She doesn't want to put me on any more meds because it may not be necessary and it is transferred to the babies in the breast milk. I pump a few times a day but most of the time we use formula. I couldn't figure out how to breastfeed without feeling like all I did all day was feed babies. I also already got a clogged milk duct-fun times! We got released Thursday last week and the babies went for a checkup on Friday. Both babies were already gaining weight, Delaney had already passed her birthweight and weighed 5lbs8oz. Jake just cleared 5 lbs. Delaney had a recheck Monday on bilirueben because it was slightly elevated but it seems to be okay now. I stare at the babies and take millions of pictures of them together. They do cute things and look so precious laying together-I can't get over how lucky I am to be their mom.

Take care all!

Just got back from the doctor appt for the twins. Turns out they think that Ethan has a clogged duct and I have to milk it and ointment 3 times a day. She seemed irritated when I told her that the other doctor said he must have just scratched it. I was a bit irritated with that too since it seems to have been getting worse... the whole reason for the appt. I forgot to ask about a second opionion on his pecker though. I guess I will just wait till December's check up for that. As for little miss cranky, Angelina seems to have reflux. She had her first dose of zantac for her last feeding, she has to take it 3 times a day. So for so good after just one dose because she didn't spit up once, but she was cranky like she might still have been in a little pain. They suggested a bounce chair for her to sleep in since it will hold her in the right position for the reflux not to bother her as much. This explains why she does better in the swing during the day downstairs, it has the same effect.

Sara - So Jack seems to have the same issue as Ethan? Just one eye? I would get him checked like I did in case it is the same thing. If it isn't treated now and healed by 9 months of age, she said it will remain clogged. This will mean surgery to add a tube later. I had a friend with the same issue, she needed a tube. Without the tube her eye would always leak. I hear you on the whole breast feeding thing. It does seem like that is all you are doing when there are two, unless you can do it at the same time. To do that though requires 4 hands for a while until you get it down pat. Both babies have to latch perfect each feeding without issues and with newborns, it is just too hard. Maybe once they are a bit older? Oh, and I am far from super mom. lol You don't want to know what my house looks like. lol I have had a few offers from people saying they will help with the twins or house clean, but the only time I really need help with the babies is at night and cleaning someone's house is pretty personal. I think I will be just fine, I just have to get Andrew back in the superdad mode. :)

These are the pics I took last night, just playing around. I thought they looked so cute in their little matching pink and blue outfits. :) Still waiting on my neighbor to get the profesional ones done. OH! I forgot to mention that Ethan now weighs 8lbs 12oz and Angelina 7lbs 10oz. Ethan is still a 1lb and 2oz bigger than his sister. lol At the 2 week check up she was 6 even and he was 7lbs 2oz.
