Hello ladies. I have to admit I am in need of PMA right now. Just got back from my 4th day in a row at RE for blood and scan. Follicles are still growing, and I had 1 at 18, so ER definitely won't be until Monday, maybe Tuesday. However, RE said my estrogen levels aren't as high as they should be (500 after 8 days of stims), and my LH was pretty low (I have no idea what those levels should be). He upped my Repronex - which has LH in it - last night so he says he is hopeful that my bloodwork today will show higher estrogen and LH levels.

Rinnie - thanks for the estrogen info. However, anyone know if there is a minimum number it needs to be at to go forward? I am so scared of cancellation again.

Also, RE said that I still have more follicles than he would have thought after having the drilling surgery. I was "normal" at first, but then I "bloomed up" again. He is still planning to trigger with hcg, but he thinks I will overstimulate. There was a resident with him today and he said I have one of the 10 worst cases of PCOS that he has seen and that my ovaries are a "challenge." Wonderful!

I am just nervous as to what all of this means.

SDtrying (and hubby) - glad things went well!

Rinnie - glad you are slowing down - we are on a very similar time frame!

Turtles and jharris - here's hoping for good estrogen levels for all of us - we too might be going at the same time - hopefully!

Sorry if I am a downer, I just don't know if I can take more bad news.

LB, I'm right there with you! I need the PMA myself. My message lsat night said my E2 went up to 510, which made me feel better. But when I went in for my 5th day in a row of bloodwrok :!: and then got an US, if I heard her right, it sounds like I only have 3 follicles on one side and 4 or 5 on the other. And they are all still under 13mm. She said we would just have to wait and see what the BW shows. And they haven't been leaving the message until 5pm the past couple days! So I will get to stress about it all day until then. I am on day 7 of stims. Obviously they haven't given up hope on this cycle yet, but she didn't sound very reassuring today.

SD & Hubby: Congrats to you!! When is the ET?

turtles: I'm sorry you are having to wait to get your new numbers! I went in for the 5th day in a row this morning. Once again, it still amazes me how different all these doctors handle things! Oh, and did you hear about the woman that put 2 back, and ended up with 2 sets of identical twins? And I should be working right now, but obviously my mind is elsewhere. I can't wait to hear my BW results this afternoon. I hope it doubled again.

Rinne: Thanks for that info. But I am actually taking a low dose Ovidrel (Lh) with my Gonal-f (FSH) and have been since the start of stims. They just started me on a low dose of Gonal-f. I started at 150IUs, and they have me taking 450IUs now!

So I have a question, how many follicles did you all have? And what stim cycle day did they start growing? HELP!!!

LB - Sorry to hear you are down...keep the faith and I hope your cycle moves forward...the waiting for results is so hard but think good thoughts!!

jharris12 - I think 8 or 9 follicles at this point is not bad at all...day 7 of stims still leaves alot of room for them to grow and get more sine I think 9 or 10 days of stims is the "norm"...usually by E/R a few more pop up...hope the wait flies by for you! In answer to your follicle question last cycle I had 14 the day they told me to trigger but they retrieved more than that so definately more grew from the HcG trigger shot...Good luck!

SDTRying & Husband - Glad to hear retrieval went well. Keep us posted!

Rinnie - thinking of you! Let us know when your trigger is!

Sorry I don't have time for more personals but hope everyone is moving along in the right direction!

My status- day 3 of Lupron waiting for AF to show Sun/Mon...

Hello everyone! I think this board should be called the "coasters". I too have been taken off Follitism as of last night. They called me in today as well, and I might go in tomorrow. It's an hour and half drive one way...so I am tired to going; especially since I am not taking off of work and making my appointments at 7 am.

Mt RE is worried about my E2 being too high. I am at 1700 right now. My last cycle was 2100 and I had the OHSS. So I am waiting for the phone call to see if I trigger tonight, or they try to coast me until Sat. to trigger.I have lots of big Follies, a 21, a few 19, 18, 16,...but then I have some 12 and 14's.

LB As a fellow PCOS sister, and someone who had OHSS I can say three things. 1. Its complete HELL, 2. It's doesn’t stay forever (even thought it will feel like it.) and 3. I am willing to do it all over again if it means I have a baby in my arms. Don’t get too stuck on the OHSS. As far as everything else, stay strong, sweetie.

Adsgirl & Rinnie Thanks for thinking of me. I have been thinking about you both as well. Ads, thanks for the list!!

Rinnie Looks like we are in the same boat. :( I too hoping that each day they keep me coasting helps the quality of my eggs.

Ok, I should not have sent my last post...my clinic just called and I am triggering toight. My E2 went up to upwards of 2200, same as last time, and they are worried about me Overstimulating...which I will, but again, if I have a baby it would be worth it. :? Have I convinced anyone else yet...I am not sure I am yet....hehe.

I am a little sad....my nurse said I have a lot of follies that are ready so not to worry, and that quantity doesnt always mean quality...which is true. So I am going to trust her.

2ww here I come!!! I'm scared!

I will also be starting my 3rd cycle in June. I have a very similar story. The first attempt was bfn and 2nd was bfp, but we never saw an embryo. I hope everything goes well for both of us this round.
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!

jharris- i'm no expert, but i think your follies sound like they're doing okay. I heard that they grow an average of 1-3mm per day (most women 2mm/day) and that most women stim to between 8-11 days. So according to this information- you're right on track.

Lovebug- we were in a very similar situation- my E2 was 3400, they were worried about overstim, but everything so far has been fine. i triggered Monday, had ER yesterday (retrieved 15 mature eggs, 2 intermediate ones, and 2 small ones). I'm waiting for the call from the embryologist. It just takes one right?! Hang in!

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement, I will try to stay positive. It would just for once be nice to hear that everything is going well! The resident that my RE had with him this morning stayed after he left the room to try to tell me to stay positive, etc. and all I wanted to do was rip her head off because she had no idea what I have gone through so far!! I know, I am awful, she was just trying to be nice!!

I am also sick of the nurses who leave my message every day telling me everything looked good on my b/w, if the levels aren't right!! They have me taking more Repronex tonight so I am guessing they still want the estrogen and LH to rise - and of course, back tomorrow!

What I find interesting is that they are worried about me overstimulating because of my number of follicles, when it sounds like others of you they are worried because of the high estrogen levels (which I don't have).

Love Bug - thanks for all the OHSS info. At this point, as much as I know it will be bad, I am willing to risk it to get hcg this time. I had "empty follicle syndrome" the first time (30 follicles and 1 egg) and from what I have read most of the time it is caused by incorrect dosages (or lack thereof as in my case) of hcg. Good luck with your trigger tonight!

SDtrying - great report - almost 100% - how awesome!!

jharris - huge doses of positive energy headed your way!! Sounds like you are moving along!

I will update tomorrow after my appt - have a great night everyone!! I am headed over to see a friend's new baby - maybe not the best time for it, but what can you do? At least a few of us girls are heading to a child-free dinner after!

Second shot to belly and I am still here! In fact, DH has become so confident with the injections, he is swaggering around like John Stamos on ER!

First off...CONGRATULATIONS to SDTrying! 14 is terrific. Are you going to do a 3 or 5 day transfer?

LoveBug...Good luck with your trigger tonight. Keep the faith and I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Wishing you oodles of mature eggs.

AdsGirl...When I am on the treadmill, I will flip on Millionaire Matchmaker or Housewives of New York City. I am not proud...but for some reason the 60 minutes goes so much faster when the show is super cheesy. Sounds like we are on a very similar schedule. I will be glad to have you as a tww buddy!

KimmySq...My RE is super strict about number of embies. I think the max she will put back is three (which is FINE with me).

LB and JHarris...I am sorry you are both feeling low...I wish there was something I could say or do that could help you through this. Be kind and if possible try to take a "worry vacation" even it it's only for a few minutes.

Rinnie...You're slowing down faster than a paranoid teenage driver with a cop on his tail! Imagine those eggs growing big and chubby!

LoveBug...Tonight you TRIGGER! COngrats! I will be thinking of you.

KyW...You crack me up! I wish I had tan lines, bizarre or otherwise! 5 minutes in the sun and I am practically in the burn unit.

Cocosmamma...let us know how the accupuncture goes!

SueQiwi...This is my first time, too and I am a MAJOR scaredy cat. However, DH and I buckled down a few days ago and did our first injection. Truly, the anticipation is MUCH worse than the actuality. Try to stay calm and keep your sense of humor.

IRISHHOPE...I'm Irish, too by the way! I am on day 3 of Lupron as well!

Okay...I've got to run...DH wants to go out to dinner....Have a great night!

Hi Girls...I trigger tonight!! 9pm... for ER on Sat morning.

They couldn't slow me down any more...I still have 10 follies, but a couple are 22, so ready to burst. Est is 3484 & lining is 9.

SoLoveBug it's you and me!! We can't start a group called the coasters :) But your est seems good. Mine was 2700 last time and I was fine so maybe est isn't the only indicator for OHSS. If it is I'm in trouble
I'm nervous too....it's so hard not knowing for sure about anything.

LB I have no idea what a minimum number would be, but hopefully the repronex kicks it up. I was really slow last time...triggered on the 12th day. So you still have time..I'm pulling for you!
The OHSS has to be somewhat better too with the drilling but it's tough & scary not knowing. But you don't have high est, so maybe there are other indicators for OHSS...nobody's said a word to me about worrying & mine's up there.

jaharris12 I think 8 follies is good at day 7. I had that last time at 13mm & them some more sprouted. So there's time. Your est is going up & that's the important part. Hang in!

SDTrying Congrats to you & dh ( what a great guy!)...14 fert is sooo good!! Wow. I'm glad you're well & keep us posted. Are you going to go to 5 day blast?
Glad to hear your est was 3400 & you're ok...i've been worried.

Turtles I hate waiting!! I'm nervous about twins or triplets too...wow....I can't imagine.

Irishope Thanks for the good thoughts...go AF!

brit1612 Welcome to the board!! All the best for this round!

Maggie They're BIG, they're Chubby :) Thanks!
