Hope you all are having a nice evening. Thanks to all who wished me good luck tommorrow...yes, i'm hoping that they get more than they've seen before and they merrily fertilize like there's no tommorrow! I'm thinking about each of you as well and how were kinda at various stages, but all in this IVF world together, one BFP at a time, hopefully. Will do personals tommorrow after ER.

babyloves Hoping all the best for you today as I know you are scheduled for you ER. How exciting! Please let us know how you are doing after you are feeling up to it.

jharris I do not know what the halo term means...I actually never even got my E2 numbers last cycle - they never once told me what they were, and I never asked! But, I do know that some people start out slow, some fast, and that things can still change a lot for you at this stage of the game. Sounds like you have lots of follies in there! I am hoping all the best for you and you are in my prayers!

hoping Sorry to hear about those headaches! I think you may have mentioned it before, but how long will you be on the lupron? I don't take that because I'm on a short cycle.

cocosmomma Hope all is well and that DH is recovering well!

Valerie You have so much PMA it is just wonderful! All of your posts have such a positive tone - thank you for that!

kate21, karen, suekiwi hoping you all have a wonderful day!

As for me, I'm doing just fine. No side effects to speak of from the estrace, just eager to start the stims next week! Last cycle, I actually had no side effects from any meds except for a follistim headache the first few days. Other than that I wasn't even bloated - but remember I only had 3 follies! Anyway, I heard a lot of people talk about whether they are telling people about ivf. Last cycle I was so excited and just thought I was basically garaunteed a baby, so I told so many people. Then when it ended and I was completely devastated I regretted that so much. Because now people are asking me about it and I don't want to talk about it unless it is my close family. I basically just told people I'm not doing it again to avoid the whole thing! It's funny because my plan was to not tell anyone, yet I told everyone! oh well! That was also before I found this message board, so I was so needy to talk about it.

JDC-glad to hear the estrace is going well and you start stims next week!
I told too many people this time....well everybody at work knows, since I am in a small office and have to come in late and take off so much. I don't like everybody knowing. On the flip side, my family doesn't know. My in-laws do but not my side. I too thought it was a guarantee that it would work the first time and actually had my mother ask me why we would waste money trying again!!! Now you know why we didn't tell her!

So thank you ladies for all the PMA, I don't know what I would do without you.
Hope everybody is doing well.

Hey ladies! Hope you are all having a wonderful day!

valerie: Thanks for your message. I'm really not stressing the med increase. I had wished it would stay constant to avoid having to buy more meds, but I am truly at peace with this cycle. I gave myself my shots last night for the first time! And I just feel so positive this time! Reading all your posts definitely helps the PMA, too! So thanks! :D

babyloves: Once again, just want to wish you dozens of eggs today! You are leading the way for us!

JDC: I never ask for my E2 either, it's just on the message in the afternoons with my instructions! I'm not starting quite as slow as last cycle, so for that I'm grateful! I'm glad you aren't having any side effects! We were the opposite, we didn't tell anyone with our first cycle. I knew there was no guarantee, and I didn't want to have to keep everyone updated. We have told a few more people this go round though, it's good to have a little support!

hopinginpa: It's hard to tell family about this stuff. I'm glad our family is supportive, and I have you wonderful ladies to share this with! :D

How is everyone else getting along? Well I hope! OK, time to get back to work. Thinking about you all!

Good afternoon,

Well, I went to work this morning and had to turn around as some storms just popped out of nowhere. The streets were flooded and I did not want to take a chance for an accident. It's much needed rain but it really puts a stop to my work. I just wanted to get things accomplished before my ER so I could relax more. Oh well, I guess I'll work this weekend.

jharris~ I'm so glad you're feeling positive !! I understand about buying more meds :? I got the call yesterday from the pharmacy and my Rn ordered 60 vials of Bravelle. Ouch !! They will start me at a stronger dose right away this time. I feel like a horse getting ready for the race of his life. With so much meds I'll just jump out of there like a shot!
I know you'll do fine...I've got a really good feeling for you.

Babyloves~ Thinking about you!! I know you're probably sprawled on the couch totally drugged up from the valium....boy do I hate that!
You're probably wondering how you're going to make it to your pc and tell us the wonderful news :D

JDC~ I always ask for my E2 numbers but this time I'm wondering if should just not ask, that way I can't worry about it. I don't know, that would take a lot of willpower from me to do that. We'll see. I think we know TOO much. Ignorance is truly bliss sometimes.
If I just heard: everything looks great Valerie...than I would just feel great. Buuuut! Noooooo...I just have to know every little detail everytime.
I'm glad you're feeling well...one day at a time getting closer to that BFP !!
Thanks for the compliment...I've been called an eternal optimist at times. Most of the time my glass is half full, no matter what. The only thing is that you can't be half pregnant...so in that case I have to see the glass totally full!

to_have_fun~I'm glad you found that free gym. Take advantage of it as much as you can, it will help with the stress and make your body healthier.
I'm letting go, but that doesn't mean I won't be crushed and upset if I get a BFN or canceled cycle but the PMA gives me a different perspective.
More shots, more money but a baby is priceless. I tell you when those credit cards bill come along, I just cringe but I know I would not want it any other way and I probably would not spend this much money so willingly for anything else...unless I won the lottery, than I would help you girls as well!

SueQiwi~ Patience, patience...you will be there soon too! I know that time seems to be at a standstill sometimes. Keep yourself busy with lots of fun stuff. I'm going to look for some books about Buddhism, I think I might like that!

Rinnie~ We have not heard from you in a long long time and I hope you're doing well.

Turtles, Mztia, Bell-02, Muggsey, Heather, Mally, Lovesme4me how are you girls feeling? Just to let you know you are in my thoughts. We'd love to hear from you!

Time for me to go...lots of baby dust to all...

Hello Ladies

Sorry to have been absent there is just nothing going on here. I have been waiting 2 days for the nurse to call and clarify my meds. I still have 2 AF's to wait for. Sigh all the waiting. I had AP yesterday and yet again it was quite painful and made me cry(I feel like such a baby.) My AP thinks I am just hyper sensitive t the needles and I should eat before I come in.

I just wanted to say Hi and wishing that your ER went great Babyloves, I look forward to hearing about all the great plump eggies you got.

Woohoo to the stimmers I just know we will be starting off with lots of BFP's.

Have a great Day!

Hi Everyone,

Babyloves - Hope you are doing well after ER. Since you are the first on this board to hit ER, it is up to you to get the ball rolling for all the BFP.

JHarris - I definatly can understand the meds part. I have magabucks in the fridge in Follistim and now my RE is also adding Menopure and Ganerielix. So now I have to buy more, I am just praying that this will be enough to make it through the cycle. It will be all worth it when we get the BFP. When is your next U/s and b/w?

Valerie - I do agree that the amount we pay will all be worth it in the end. I just hate it when the credit card bills come in. I won't complain because I am lucky enough that I am covered under 2 insurance policies and with the both of them, it should cover this IVF cycle and it also covers 50% of some of the drugs. I know a lot of ladies have to pay all out of pocket, I just don't see how I would ever be able to do that.

MzTia - Glad to see you are doing well. I probably missed it but why do you have to wait for 2 AF before you can start a cycle?

Af came to visit today so I get to start BCP on the 17th, I will take them till Aug 6th, go in Aug 8th (my b-day) for u/s and b/w. Hoping and praying that everything is good then so I can start stims. Who has been on menopure and ganirelix (sp)? I was just wonder if you new the drug cost. I haven't gotten them approved through my insurance yet so I don't know what I will be paying. Also, does menopure come mixed or is it one of the drugs that have to be mixed? I haven't mixed any drugs yet so that should be interesting.

To Have Fun- I was on and am on ganirelix and menopur again. Ganirelix is $88 a shot and menopur was $57 a vial and you have to mix it but it is easy. I bought my meds from Schrafts. This time around I am trying to buy meds from former patients to cut down costs.

I have to wait 2 full unmedicated cycles since my last failed IVF. I have had AF right after the failed cycle and now am waiting on next AF. Whne third AF arrives I can start stimms YAY. I won't be on BCP's this time around

Hello ladies, I haven't posted in a couple of days but I have been reading. I am still just waiting on AF which is not due until July 24th. Then in Aug. I will start my lupron and from there move on to my stims. I am awaiting a call from my Nurse educator to set up a time for my injection class and all the finanical stuff. My Dr. is not worried because he says I have time. It is so exciting to hear about your IVF journey. I feel it makes me a little less nervous to see others are going through it with me! I can't wait to see the BFP's from our thread! Hope you ladies have a wonderful night = )

to_have_fun~ The menopur cost me $55.00 per vial and the Ganorelix $ 85.00. The menopur has to be mixed but it's no problem at all. You get used to it quickly. The have a little device that you attach to the vial that makes it much easier.
I pay for everything out of pocket  Ouch! Does that hurt!
They're ordering 60 bravelle and 28 Menopur...It will be well over $4,500 in drugs alone. I order from Ascend and have gotten good prices. If you can call that 'good' !

Good luck, I hope they pay for it!

It's late already, catch up with all of you tomorrow.

Thanks MzTia and Valerie.
Valerie I also will go through ascend. Gosh those prices are really high. Right now I don't know what my RE is ordering so I can't even start to guess how much I am going to pay. Oh well guess I will just have to suck it up. I found a video on you tube that shows a lady giving her menopure shots and it doesn't look to hard to mix. Just another thing to worry about. Hope everyone has a good day.

Hey ladies. Trying to keep up with everyone! I posted on another board last night, but then my DH caem home and I got sidetracked before posting to you all!!

valerie: How's the rain treating you today? Wow that sounds like a lot of meds! I haven't used Bravelle, so how often and how much do you have to take to need 60 vials?! WOW!! Thanks for keeping up with me, even on another board! I promise I'm not leaving you all! :D

MzTia: Sorry to hear the AP isn't going well. Hopefully it will be less painful for you so you can get the full benefit. And the no BCP/straight to stim cycle goes so much quicker!!

to_have_fun: It still amazes me how much we have to spend on meds! Hopefully you have all you need! I am one of those that pays completely out of pocket, but I know its worth it. I am so happy some of you have insurance for this. I get my meds from Freedom Pharmacy, and my Ganirelix was like $97 a shot. Yay for starting BCP's tomorrow!! Stims aren't that far away now!

muggsey: Not much longer for you to start your shots! I'm glad you feel a little less nervous going through this with us.

I went in for BW & US this morning. My E2 yesterday was 316, so they kept the meds the same. I won't get my BW results until this afternoon, but they counted about 15 follies today! And measured a few around 11 to 12!! So things are moving right along! :D Hope you ladies have a great day!!

Afternoon girls,

Just a quickie from me to say that I am still alive but just haven't had time to post - work is manic!!

JHarris - excellent news on the E2 numbers, looks like you'll have some good follies!

MzTia - I still sometimes find the needles a little uncomfortable when they go in. But I do find once they are in the benefits are great. I really relax and fell asleep so soundly the other day that I woke up and didn't realise where I was!!

to_have_fun - drugs...they aren't cheap are they? I don't know the break down of my individual drugs but together they cost around £1500 (about $3000?) and we don't get any kind of insurance over here in the UK BUT it will all be worth it when we get our BFP's!!

Muggsey, Valerie - hope you guys are all ok - will catch up properly later.

Not much going on with me, chatted with the woman organising my trip to Sweden. She is so positive it rubs off. I have to say it is so much less stressful this time around, less scans, less trips to see the consultant and I get to have a holiday as well while having EC...can't be bad!!

Catch you later
