Hi ladies.

Post by JennLB25 »

I just wanted to say hello for the day. Been busy here at the office.

Lady_J: I hope that AF comes real soon and good luck with your RE appointment Friday.

Espinozal23 and Tkat: Good luck with ER on Friday!!!

Well, I have to get back to work. I hope you all have a great day.

Oh, and my second Lupron shot resulted in a bruise. I thought I would be the exception to the rule and not bruise, but no such luck.

to have fun- the only thing we're changing is starting my LH shots with my FSH instead of putting them off a few days. Last IVF we only got 6 mature eggs so they're hoping this will help. Personally, I have stopped drinking caffeine and will swear off alcohol as soon as I get back from New York. I read those will affect egg quality as well.

Lady J- AZ was beautiful. My dad lives in Chandler so we stayed at his place 3 nights then went to an amazing hotel in Scottsdale for 2 nights to be closer to the stadium. It was sunny and a crisp mid 60s while we were there. NY should be nice too... looks like it will snow 2 days of the 5 we will be there and be sunny the rest of the time. I CANT WAIT!!!

Well, like I said, I take my last BCP tomorrow. I cant believe I am back here again, it almost makes me cry thinking about it but I am SO hopeful about this time around. I've been toying with the idea of putting back 3 embies this time to "ensure" a pregnancy since it worked last time with 2 but I still cant get over the idea of triplets?! I dont know if that would be a good situation at all. I have an appointment next Friday to meet with the nurse about my cycle and do B/U. hopefully stims start on the 17th!!

Have a great day ladies! I'll be back this evening.

waiting- I am in the same situation as you. we are on our last attempt with insurance paying and contemplating putting in 3 put don;t know if i could handle triplets. We put in two last time and one took, so I figure if i put in three, one should take, 2 might take but probably not 3...I don;t know what to do, will see what RE thinks. I guess I have to look at both extremes, would I rather end up with 0 or 3? In that case, it would be 3, but god would it be hard!

Hey Ladies,

Just crashing from the OCT/NOV/DEC thread and i recognise many of you from there or previous threads...

I have some leftover endometrin suppositories, its a new box with 21 tablets and applicators. If any of you will be using these and are self pay i am happy to mail them to you if they will help out....

They are from a previous cycle but do not expire till feb 2010. I took (and i'm still taking) the PIO shots this cycle. This new RE never uses the endometrin, so it seems a shame to let them go to waste....

I had to pay for 100% of my cycle and all the meds, so i know how hard it can be financially if you are self pay. For this reason, i would prefer to donate them to someone who pays out of pocket, as someone helped me with this last cycle by donating meds and it made a real difference to me.

Just pm me if you want them they are yours, and good luck and tons of babydust to you all!!!!

I have been very crampy all day today I wonder if its because of the OCPs. I go for my ultrasound next week Thursday. So 8 days left. I am getting all my medication tomorrow. I cancelled my order a few weeks back because I wasn't going to be in the state to recieve my meds but if all goes well tomorrow around this time I should be opening my box full of meds.

Hello again ladies...

Kas101... That is very nice of you re the suppositories. Hopefully someone will take advantage of your genorosity. "Give & you shall receive".... I am blessed with my insurance covering my meds so I will pass. I'm pretty sure someone will take up up on that offer. Thanks again.

Rosario... Hope u feel better soon. Good Luck at your US next week. As for your meds... have fun opening them... just dont get scared when u do see them. It seems like alot but really it isnt so bad.

ct_michelle and waiting... I had only 2 embies last cycle and according to RE and laws, at my age they only do 2, but they will do 3 depending on circumstance. If all goes well and I get more embies this time, I am going to see if they can put 3 back. I will probably plea that they put 3. I figure if I am lucky at least 1 will stick this time and if I am super lucky, then all 3 will. I hope that they will take into consideration that I have been trying for 9 years now. i will ask at my RE appointment.

As for my AF... nothing yet. :( I did feel a little naseau today and I do have minor cramps in my belly and alot of cm. TMI, but I actually felt that she arrived so I placed a pad in my bra today and went to the bathroom, but when I got there it was nothing but cm. So I didnt use the pad and I forgot all about it. I went all afternoon and it was just like 15 minutes ago that I felt something on my bra strap that I looked...oops  it was the pad. LoL, so I guess it is on her way. But when????? It should have been here yesterday. aaarrrhhh. Well, I guess I still sit here and wait, and wait and wait. :(

espinozal23: I'm not exactly sure how the insurance works. I know mine does not cover any of it... bummer. I hope you get your answer and I hope it works out for you. : ) Even more importantly....I hope your ER is a great success!

TKAT: Good luck on your ER this week! How exciting!!!

to_have_fun08: It's good to know I'm not the only one. I'm still feeling better. I took the antibiotics twice today and so far so good. Hopefully that will continue.

tic-toc tic-toc I'm getting impatient! I'm ready. : )

Hi Ladies,

I realize that I am really late in joining, but I guess late is better than never. Thanks to CT_Michele for suggesting this thread.

This will be my first IVF cycle. My DH has low sperm count. I went in to my RE last Monday for bloodwork, sonogram and mock transfer. I have five more birth control pills (thank goodness) and I am scheduled to start Lupron on the 10th (Sat.). My ER should be around the first week of February!!

It sounds like I am in good company and I pray for each of you to get BFP's!!

KB
Me - 26
DH - 30 (low sperm)
ER - 2/6 ; 5 day ET - 2/11

Hello Everyone

I am getting really excited now. I went under my Hubby's insurance this year, which covers IVF, so I had to wait to order my meds until after the 1st. They should be shipped tomorrow, and that is exciting to me, because it really means we are about to start the process. Now I get to look forward to all the doctor appointments soon, and being extremely bloated.

I wish everyone the best of luck!

Also how do you convince your doctor to put 3 in, instead of two. I think our insurance only has enough coverage for 1 cycle of IVF, with maybe a little left over. So I really want it to work this time.

Molly - I forgot, what is your age and is this your first cycle. If you are older and this isn't the first cycle, you can talk most RE's into putting back more then 2. For my RE seeing that I am old, for a 3dt they will put back 3 and for a 5 day they will put back 2. Depending on my egg quality and how many embies I have I might talk them into putting more back. Though I guess I would have to talk with DH first to see what he thinks.

Brown01 - Welcome to the board!!! Hope you are one of those lucky first timmers. IVF can drive you crazy so this is a great place to vent, ask questions or just a place to make you realize you are not alone. Good luck and keep us posted.

kcraven - You time will be here before you know it. Then you will start stims and time will just fly by. I think having so much on our plate with the drugs and appointments makes things seem to move a bit quicker.

Rosario - Good luck with your u/s and b/w next week. I am, like me you are a little hesitant since you have been canceled before. This is our time girl. We will have our cycles and get our BFP's!!!!

Lady_J - your post on the fish oil made me think a lot about the omega 3 vitamin I was taking. I was thinking while reading your post that I wouldn't eat fish if it came from china. How do I know if the fish oil isn't from nasty fish from China. UUUGGGHHHH so much to think about. i guess I will do some more research.

waiting for 4
- I think I might lay off alcohol for awhile to see if that might help my eqq quality. The caffine part is a little harder. I do try and drink decaf coffee but I also like tea and lots of that has caffine. I also drink soda now and them but that is not very often.
I know it sucks that you are back here again. I would think that after getting a BFP there would be a sigh of relief that you were done with IVF for awhile. Just hang in there, you will get another BFP.

espinozal and TKat - Wishing both of you the best of luck at ER.

I hope you get AF soon. And, if I remember correctly, you have an RE appt tomorrow...GOOD LUCK. I read your post to "ct_michelle and waiting". What if all 3 would stick and then the cells divide to identical twins...you could have 6 babies!!

My RE will only put in 2 because I am 34 (one year away from 35, grrr). We've explained to him that we've been trying for 11 years, but it just doesn't matter. He said it is too risky. GRRR, I don't like other people telling me what I can and can't do when they don't understand our pain and emotions through all of this!! Ok, I will not vent!!! LOL :) Well, good luck tomorrow and I hope AF comes today for you!

KB
Hey, welcome to the board!! Looks like our IVF cycles will be close. If everything goes well, my ER and ET will be around 01/30/09 and 02/02/09. Good luck!!! Baby dust to ya!!!

Tkat and Espinozal23
I also want to say good luck tomorrow on the ER tomorrow!!!!

Molly23
My DH's insurance only covers one cycle of IVF as well. My RE said that because I am under 35 he will under no circumstances put in more than 2 embies. STINKS!! I told him we only have one shot at this, but he just won't do it. He said 2 is the max because I am 34 and because my DH's grandfather had 2 sets of twin brothers, so we have a good chance of having the embies divide, and if both stick we could end up with quads if both divide. Not sure I like the sounds of 4.

Good luck with your cycle!!!

Rosario
I too hope you feel better real soon.

To_Have_Fun
I'm sorry to see that you have had so many cancelled cycles!! I pray that this one will go smoothly and that it will be your last one. I pray this cycle works for you and you get the baby you long for!!

dys24
Good luck on your trigger shot. I hope this cycle is the one!
