Hi Joannet,
so glad to read that all went so well with both of your tests this week. Sounds like all is looking good for you and I am really happy to hear that. I hear in your voice how much you really do love those little babies, and that is so nice and really put a smile on my face.

Wishing you a quick 2 week wait for your results, which I hope reinstate that both babies are developing well.

I have to look and see if some sort of anatomy scan is something they do here, and if so, when. It sounds really amazing what you can see.

Enjoy your long weekend, ladies. We also have a long one that starts tomorrow and I am really looking forward to it.

Take care,
xx summer

Hello all, sorry I have being missing. I have just read all your posting and I am glad to hear you are all doing great.

As for us we have had some high blood pressure and our one our glucose scan came back high so we are now doing the three hour glucose.

We have decided not to do the amnio since we would have to do it three times since we are having triplets and the risk go higher each time you do it. We are just going to have faith that the will come out healthy and strong. I am getting my cervix measured every two weeks and we are having our anatomy scan June 7.

I am getting bigger than a normal 17 week belly and boy is it getting heavy. As far as the sex goes they see one boy and possible two girls. We will find out more later.

I am finally not as nervous as I was at the beginning and I am actually starting to get really excited about have three. For a while there it was touch and go for Baby C but it seems she is going to be our fighter.

Thanks for listening,

B

Dear Barb,
so nice to read your post today! I am so happy to know that things have settled down a bit and that you and your triplets are doing well! Have you been able to work lately? I know you said you wanted to get in a few weeks of work, if possible, before being put on bedrest. Have you been keeping a photo record of your expanding belly? I am sure your little ones would love to see where they all were, before they were born.
Take good care of yourself!

Big hello to all the other october moms2b! Hope you are all feeling good and are enjoying the nice long weekend!

xx summer

Hi everyone,

I hope that you are all having a great week. We have had quite a week. While we waited for the results of the amnios to come back, I started bleeding on Tuesday and spent most of the night at the Emergency Room. Turns out that the babies are fine. The Drs could not figure out what caused the bleeding. So we are just greatful that it has stopped and that the u/s showed that the babies are doing great.

We got the results of the amnios today, they showed that both babies are perfectly healthy. We also found out that we are having two girls. So we are joining Molly in the girls club.....

We are pretty excited. Both my husband and I cried when we found out. It is such a relief not to have that hanging over us.

I hope that everyone else is doing great.

Have a great weekend.

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been MIA. I check the board daily on my cell phone but it's difficult to post on it. Sounds like everyone is doing well. We officially found out we're having a boy & a girl 4 weeks ago! Super excited about that. Anyone have names yet? We're 90% set on Oliver & Lucy. We like older/unique names. My anantomy scan is on June 10th...can't wait for that. They stopped measuring the babies during my ultrasounds so it will be interesting to see how big they are. How's everyone doing in the weight gain department? I've gained 16 lbs so far. I'm not even eating that much. Hopefully it's just the babies/placentas/amniotic fluid :) I've been feeling pretty good other than this new super annoying back pain. It's my upper back & ribs. Weird! They really start hurting at the end of the day. I went to the pool yesterday & it felt great to be in the water & have some of the weight off my back.

Barb: I'm so glad to hear all 3 babies are doing well! Hope you passed your 3 hr glucose test & your blood pressure has gone down.

Joannet: I'm glad the bleeding wasn't anything. How scary! And congrats on the great amnio results! And yeah...2 girls!!!! I bet you're excited :)

Molly: Congrats on the 2 girls! Have you had another u/s to confirm?

Summerbaby & souxsie hope you are enjoying the weekend & feeling great!

Summerbaby- Were you ever able to find out if they do an anatomy scan where you live? It is basically where they just check the full anatomy of the baby to see if everything is fine. A lot of people refer to them as the gender scan, since that is most likely when you find out the gender.

BarbD- It is so nice to hear you finally get to relax a bit and enjoy your pregnancy. Like you we decided against an amino since it would have to be more then once, which doubles the risk. That is so exciting you are having two girls and a boy. Have you decided on any names yet?

Joannet, Congrats on having two girls and two healthy babies. I am so happy to hear your amino went well. Have you picked out names yet?

Shelley I love the names you picked out, and it sounds like your pregnancy is going well. Good luck on your ananotmy scan on the 10th.

As for me I cannot believe I am almost 20 weeks pregnant, and I really do look it now. It took me forever to show, but now it is kicking in. I still have not gained to much weight, but my doctors are not concerned about that. We confirmed that we are having two girls, and we think we will name them McKenzie and Madison. I still have not felt them move yet, but I am eagerly waiting. Anyone else feel their babies move?

I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow, and then another ultrasound next Friday. I love having ultrasounds once a month, and love seeing them. Last time they were both sucking the

How exciting, what a great combo. Oliver and Lucy are sweet names.

Several people have advised us not to share our names. Apparently, people can be thoughtless and always want to tell you about the mean girl in grade school with that name. But, I feel brave and have been soliciting opinions. Here are our top contenders at the moment:

Darby
Kendra ranks 236 in SS index
Lorna
Sadie ranks 109 in SS index
Sylvia ranks 559 in SS index

We’d like it too be a little unusual, but not so unusual it’s confusing or mispronounced. Our last name is very common. I’m a little worried that the ones that rank in the top 1000 in the US social security index may be too popular. http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/

Molly23
Good luck tomorrow and Friday.

I am feeling what I think are little movements. It’s not as obvious as a kick or anything, just like a little rumble low in the pelvis. I’ll confirm with the dr. that this is what I think it is.

I like your names also.

Summer
Thinking of you and hoping everything is still going well for you. I think you still have another week until the amnio results?

As for me, I have my regular check up this afternoon and the anatomy scan tomorrow morning. I’m excited as I haven’t seen her for over a month. I am showing, but the maternity clothes still hide it pretty well. I am having trouble adjusting to sleeping on my side and haven’t been sleeping very well, but am still so happy that this is really happening.

Have any of you started thinking about birthing yet? DH started asking if I want to go natural or drugged? I really don’t have any idea. I guess I need to start researching.

Hi ladies -

It has been a really long time since I have posted. I have quickly scanned over all of your posts and it sounds like everyone is moving right a long!

I have not done any testing at all. I feel that I will have whatever the Lord gives me which by the way is a girl. Sounds like October is the month for girls!

Her name is Mary Grace. (we like the older names too)

Glad to hear everyone is doing well.

siouxsie- How did your last doctor's visit go?

I am getting rumbles too, and the other day I was sitting at work and I swear I felt a kick. I have not felt anything since then though.

Tburks- It is great to hear from you and I am glad to hear your pregnancy is going well. Keep us updated.

I have another ultrasound on Friday, and I always love going to see my babies. Baby A did have some fluid in her kidneys, but they said it is not serious and they are keeping a close eye on it. I am hoping it has improved on my ultrasound on Friday.

Thanks for asking. Everything went fine. The anatomy scan was a bit anti-climatic. For most of the time, he had the screen turned away from me. He did a lot of measurements, and said everything looked normal. Interestingly, he said the scan is a requirement of my state. Based on the measurements, the computer calculated my due date a little later 10/25 (vs. 10/21), but he says it’s plus or minus 10 days either way, so I guess we’ll just wait and see. At the end we did get to see her for a little while. DH really wanted to see her suck her thumb, but she wouldn’t comply. Oh well. Still, amazing.

My next appointment isn’t until 7/2. So I have a wait ahead of me to see her again.

I’m still feeling her movements, but it’s not consistent yet. I am getting bigger by the minute. I think I believe this is really happening.

Good luck with your u/s on Friday.

Tburks
Glad to hear everything’s going well.

Hope the rest of you ladies and your babies are doing well.

Hi October moms,

So glad everyone is doing so well!

I must say, I really do like the names everyone has either chosen or are thinking about! We are still going back and forth!

Molly - how was your most recent u/s? We will have the anatomy u/s on the 25th. I am looking forward to it.

I have no idea if what I am feeling is movement or not, but I think it might be? I hope in a few weeks it will become more consistent or more obvious. DH can't wait till he can feel something. I am certainly getting bigger, even if the scale isn't showing much. My doctor said it was fine if I gained more weight than I already have. Been trying to add more healthy calories to my daily intake.

We did finally get the results of our amnio today and everything is perfectly fine. We are so thrilled and have finally spread the word to friends and family, which felt great!

Does anyone read the WTE website/forum? I've been reading along on the October thread for a while. I just think those ladies can be so funny and often offer up some great candid advice.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and have a great week ahead. Hope each and every one of us continues to do well over the coming weeks and months.

Summer,

Glad to hear everything went well with your amnio. I was a little nervous for you since you’ve been so quiet. Now you can really celebrate!

I haven’t read the WTE forum, but I do follow along in the book.

Wishing all of you the best.

Hi Siouxsie,
We were also getting nervous, since I kept calling the doctor after waiting 2 weeks and she didn't have the results yet. Then finally, we got a letter on a Saturday from the lab with the good news. We all cried, we were so happy and relieved.
My next scan is this Thursday. I think I have started feeling the baby this week! I am also following along with the WTE book, which I like very much.

How are you feeling these days? All going well for you? Have you started buying anything yet?

Hope all the October moms2b are doing well!

Take good care,
