Hey all.. just happy that 1st trimester is OVER!! and only 2 more days of the PIO!!! YEAH. I didn't have any appt this week but go to my regular OB on Monday. Super excited though. The last U/S we had (last Friday) baby A waved at me and baby B (now nicknamed Boxer) was doing exactly that kicking and punching with everything he (or possibly she) has! I laughed and said. "go ahead and get it all out now while I can't feel it" The MS is finally starting to wean down and I can eat more things now. I still start feeling sick if I don't eat quick enough or if I choose the wrong food. I am happy to say I can eat certain sweets now. LOL (They seem to like lifesavers though!)

Hey everyone,

Acornmom, great that your babies are doing well!! That's really exciting! and wonderful that your nauseau is going away also. Good luck on Monday.

AFM, had my sequential screen today with an u/s. It went well, the babies are doing great and are measuring appropriately with good HBs. the only negative is that I have a subchorionic hemorrhage which caused me to bleed for two days when I was 10wks. It seems to be decreasing in size from 6cm to 4.6cm today, but it still puts me at risk for preterm labor/other complications. Im trying to stay positive and am taking it easy with bedrest as much as I can. I have not had any bleeding in the past two weeks but I know it can start up again any time. Just have to take it one day at a time and be thankful for every uneventful day!

How is everyone else doing? Did you guys do the sequential screen yet?

Hello ladies! I'm so sorry it's been so long since I've posted! Life has gotten so busy and I haven't been spending as much time on the computer. We were traveling quite a bit too. My DH got his PhD after 6 years of working towards it!

It sounds like everybody is doing well and finally starting to feel better. That is wonderful. For those of you who have had the sequential screen, what do they look for on the ultrasound? I have mine on Tuesday.

Are Julie and I the only ones with singletons?

Julie, have you noticed changes in your belly at all? I just feel like I'm getting fatter right now (could be all the extra food I've been eating that I probably didn't need!). Some of my pants are starting to get a little tight, but I feel like it's too early to start wearing maternity clothes...I am super curious to hear what you are experiencing! I did go an buy one of those belly bands, so I'm trying it out for the first time today. I went and bought some maternity pants for work as well. I knew I would need them eventually, so I thought I would get prepared. It feels weird actually buying maternity clothes when you don't feel like you look pregnant!

AFM, I have been doing very well. I have been super lucky in that I haven't had any morning sickness and I haven't really been more tired either. I don't know how I ended up being so lucky, but I'll take it! I had my last U/S with my fertility clinic about a week ago. It was so amazing to see how much the baby has grown. Our baby was moving around so much; it was so cool to see! The nurses doing the ultrasound really enjoyed it too because they don't typically get to do ultrasounds on a 10 week pregnant woman. My husband was desparately searching for a penis too, which was quite amusing. He used ultrasound on the hearts of mice during his PhD research, so he can see everything right away on the ultrasound. He is so afraid of having a daughter (the whole dating thing later)...it is pretty funny. He refers to our baby has him until otherwise proven. Truly, he will be happy if it's a girl too; I think most of it is an act!

This week, I go in for my first appointment with my regular clinic. I'm really looking forward to that. Finally, it won't be 1 1/2 hours of driving to go to the doctor. Tuesday I have my sequential screen. My husband will be going with me (I'm sure to keep looking for a little penis!); is it a typical transvaginal ultrasound for this screening? Then after these two appointments, I think it will feel like FOREVER until we are able to have another ultrasound. I've been quite spoiled with virtually weekly ultrasounds up to this point.

Are you guys feeling "safe" in your pregnancies? I had no idea how worried I would be about maintaining the pregnancy. I keep waiting for each week to go by. First the goal was 8 weeks, now for me it's 12 weeks. I am just wondering when the fear will go away? Anybody have any insight? I know many of you have already passed the 12 week mark.

I hope you all have had a nice weekend. Again, my apologies for taking so long of a break. I will try to be better!

Hello Ladies!! I am glad this board is back a little bit. I think all the slow days means that everyone is happy and healthy!

DH and I decided not to do any screening. After 4 IVF's and 3 years of trying, it wouldnt change anything- so if something comes up later, we will focus on it later. Right now, we are just excited about being parents :)

Someone asked about the swine flue vaccine. I will not be using the regular vaccination schedule because of the links to Autism. Valid or Invalid, we are researching more about a delayed vaccination schedule, rather than the one that is commonly used now. So, our children will still be vaccinated by the time they enter school, but I wont be giving my child an STD vaccination the day its born like what is currently reccommended by the CDC.

So for me the swine flu vaccine is out for now. Maybe when they are older :)

ok, I know everyone is busy but hey... let's keep this post alive here huh? LOL how is everyone doing. I went to the doc yesterday. I thought they would do an u/s but they just checked for heartbeats (150 and 160) and said everything looks good. I have the "extensive U/S) on Sept 17th to which we will know the sexes. Yeah!!!
M/S is over, I am just very stuffy now. My belly is getting much bigger but I have only gained 8lbs I think so far.

Here is the survey question for today... what is your favorite snack/food to eat now in the second trimester?
Mine has been pb crackers, chex mix or pudding

Hey everyone! I havent been on in a while but thats because I didnt have much to report! Lol. (which is good, no news is good news). Today went for an u/s and found out we are having B/G twins! Really excited. DH was happy because he wanted a girl so bad! Everything else looks good too.

No m/s symptoms. Feel like I can eat all the time! Gained about 6 or so lbs since the beginning of pregnancy which is good. I dont want to gain too much even with twins since Im already on the heavier side. But the hunger is definitely always there. That, and I feel like I have to use the bathroom every 20 minutes.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Keep us updated!

Anyone going for a 3d/4d ultrasound? I got my first done at 15 weeks. They saw Id twin girls and a little boy but I will confirm that on the 14th since I still don't believe it. I have also been contracting. I was bleeding with clots last Sat and they put me on the monitor and my uterus was not calm at all. I am going to my appt now every 2 weeks so if there are any futher changes I can get my cervix stitched. I am currently 16 weeks and 5 days pregnant and have not gained weight. Pretty good for Triplets right?
IVF #1: Oct '08- BFN
IVF #2: Feb '09- BFP (Chem)

Hope every one is going well. Went last night for my 18 week u/s, and I too are having boy/girl twins! Feeling still in shock!

Last night we went to Target and found little outfits that read "Monkey" and "Love Bug". My dh calls me Love Bug and I call him Monkey, so it was perfect!

Are you guys getting big? I feel HUGE! Sleeping is the worst! Plus, to top it all off, I have a bad cold- I teach HS, so I am used to being sick, but sick pregnant SUCKS!

Hope you are all well!!!

Hey gals! It sounds like everybody is doing really well...that's so wonderful! How exciting is it that so many of the twins are boy/girl twins. Talk about the best of both worlds!

I'm jealous of those of you who haven't gained much weight. I'm having a singleton and I've gained 17 lbs (and I'm not quite as far along as you)! I think my downfall was lack of nausea in the first trimester...I just kept eating and eating (afraid that if I didn't I would get nauseous).

Anyway, AFM, I've been feeling great. I am really looking forward to my 20 week ultrasound. Both my DH and I think we are having a boy, so we'll see if we are right! Right now I'm focusing on trying to feel the baby move. How would you ladies describe the feeling? I think I may have felt movement a few times, but it's a stronger sensation than I expected (like a brief gas pain or cramp). I really look forward to feeling the baby move...it will make this all feel a little more real to me.

Keep up the good work ladies! Make sure you are getting the rest you need, especially all of you twin mommies!

Take Care,
Alexis
