Good Mornign Ladies.... just checking in. I want to say thank you ladies for all your replies. I guess I was in denial, but now after reading your thoughts, I guess I was right on how I was feeling. I really do hope I get a BFP with this FET ... it will still leave me with 2 fresh cycles either way. but for sure my next fresh will be at a new clinic.

Mjay & dtao.... Sending you lots of luck and prayer in hope that u guys get lots and lots of beautiful eggs to work with. Good Luck.

fitz... GL at your REs office tomorrow. Hope your follies are developing well.

wolffie... Glad u can get on your computer now. Too bad for me, mine still has a virus. So since we have wireless, I go online thru our WII system, but its not good for typing. It will take me all night just to type one paragraph..lol. Oh well, that is why I just wait till I get to work.

shelby... Yep, the pains, don't u just love them??? Well, at least we know something is going on in there...

J&C... Glad your "Baby in a Box" has arrived.... that was cute!! Dont u love going thru your meds over and over and over again. Its fun.

mjay... Glad u got your clearance with no problems. U see, it all works out. As u get closer to ER, they ovaries become more sore because they are getting reading to burst. That si why they need u to do the HCG trigger shot at the exact time they tell u.... because 36 hours later when they do th ER, the eggs are in there final stage. If they go over the alloted time, then the eggs can release on there own and nobody wants that to happen. Good luck again hun.

karling... your so sweet. I am glad we can make u feel like that. I myself love these forums as well. Glad we have somewhere we can turn too when we need advice, support, answers or just to vent a little. Hopefully we can share our PG sysmptoms together as well. :) As far as being stress free... I dont really know the answer. IVF actually adds on a little bit more stress to your daily llife... I guess we just hvae to take it one day at a time. It is exciting and scary... and your DH may also get the affects of you as well... but I guess just put your feet up and remind your DH how u cant over due yourself, so that he can help u with the dishes.. OHSS is "Ovarioan Hyper stimulation Syndrom" ... basically when u start stimming, u produce alot of follies that grow fast... when u get OHSS is because there are alot growing and growing too too fast. It can be fatal if it gets out of control, but that is why they have u come in every other day one u start stimming cuz the purpose is to check the ovaries. If they feel u r getting it they lower your meds or can stop u completely depending on how bad it is. But nothing to worry about hun, u will be fine. I just hope i didnt scare u. Gatorade.. something about the sodium in it, plus fluid... all i know is that u want to stay hydrated especially after ER. The way I would remember to take my meds... I bought a little pouch where IU carried my needles, alcohol pads and meds when I wasnt going to be home for the evening. I would set my Phone Alarm at the same time every day witha reminder. SO where ever I was at... I would go to the Bathroom and TaDa!!!. After a few days, trust me, you will be a Junkie, it becomes second nature. I will be taking baby aspirin as well as Heparin Injections. Pluse Estrogen Injections and POI. Basically the only ijnections I am missing out on are the Lupron and Stims, which I would prefer cuz of the size of the needles. Good Luck hun.

AFM.... I am on CD28... last BCP was on Sunday the 16th and still no AF :( Ladies, please do the AF dance for me as well. I had a dream last night and I dont know what it means.... all i remember is going downstairs to the basement and my DD today was sleeping on a bed and I went searching for my DD and I went into the laundryroom, and there she was sleeping in a crib only she was about 1 yr old as I remember her at that age. I woke her up and she was happy to see me, and I took her out and told her to sleep in the living room in the basement floor and I told my DD today to get up so I can put the mattress on the floor so that they can both sleep on the matress to gether. Then I went upstairs and woke up... !!! Weird. But it felt so strange and I woke up emotional. Any dream experts? What could that mean?

Hi everyone!

How have you all been doing? I've been reading but not posting, all the waiting is starting to take a toll on me, between 2 cancelled cycles & the meds he had me on before june, I've been waiting since May! I'm kind of sorry that occured to me, as now it will stick in my thoughts! Totally off topic but we are under a tornado watch. Are they kidding? Ok thats a new one on me. I'm sure its only the weatherman ( wrong as usual, I hope!) I had to go get yet another pack of BCPs today ( I swear these things bother me more than stims do!) At least its not for too much longer!

Mjay / Dtao -Hoping that both of your ERs went great today, let us know how it went & how many eggies!

prayin / lady j / karling - doing the AF dance for you all! She never shows when wanted - I will never get used to actually wanting her to show

cheryl - a lot of women complain about breaking out while stimming, as if theres not enough going on already!

wolffie - yes, we are out of pocket on everything for ivf, it justs adds more stress to the cycle, although whichever way this one goes, its the last for awhile. How is school going?

shelby - Hope that all is well with you & yours!

michele - you poor thing! you must be a cooking fool this week! Cant wait for pics of the birthday girl!

Sorry if I missed anyone, know that you are all in my thoughts & prayers!

Hey everyone! I got my schedule in the mail today and I go for my baseline 9/2, start stims on 9/5, scan and b/w on 9/8, ER week of 9/14, and ET week of 9/21! WAHOO!!!! They are starting me on 225 units of Follistim twice a day. That seems like a lot for me because I was only on 150 last time and I thought I stimmed pretty well. They retrieved 18 from me last time, but they could only freeze one. Guess they want to make sure that I have plenty! Fine with me because after I have TWINS this time I might just want to go for #3 later!!! (PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA...)

I have a ? for those of you who have experience with Lupron. I have a 2 wk 'baby in a box'. And I am on 20 units a day. How long has it taken everyone to start their "Lupron bleed" after starting injections? If AF shows in 10 days, I will have enough Lupron to last until 9/1 (I drop down to 10 units per day after AF) and I don't start stims until 9/5. That leaves me 4 days with no meds.... is that right? I didn't start thinking about that until after my clinic closed today so I couldn't call and ask. I also put this out as a new post. Thanks for any help and insight you can give me.

I sure do hope Dtao and Mjay did ok today. I've had them on my minds all day.

I have been using my stepson's computer for the past 2 months because mine has been messing up. When I turn it on the screen is black with a big white glob moving across it and Windows never loads. I sent it off to be repaired and finally got it back yesterday. It worked great until this morning and it started doing the same thing. ARG!!! Sometimes I hate technology!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and we have AF raining down on all those who want it. :D

hi everyone!
well ive been away on vacation for a few weeks and my first day back i get 2 huge boxes delivered to my door from the ups man. i'm not sure what i expected but seeing those boxes made me very nervous. turns out that was nothing compared to the feelings i felt when i opened them up. all of those NEEDLES!!! and meds ive never heard of....oh my...here comes the panic attack. I think i'm going to need help figuring all this out. I was able to figure out which one was the lupron (even though its called something else) and found the right syringes to go along with them. so i start that tomorrow morning and i'm going to ignore the other boxes in my fridge for a while!
i do have a question...does anyone know if i should be taking the lupron at the EXACT time every morning or just as long as its in the morning around the same time? i forgot to ask my dr. and the office is already closed!
here we go.....

Hey Turtle! Hope you had a great vacation! As for the Lupron (generic name: LEUPROLIDE), I take mine in the evening about 8pm. I just got started doing that from my last fresh cycle because I have to call after 6pm the days I have b/w and get my evening dosage of stims. I usually take it with in an hour of 8pm.

Glad you are back!

Hi all!

Mjay and Dtao - I really hope all went well today. I am anxious to hear! Keeping you and your little eggies in my thoughts!

Turtle - welcome back! I take my lupron at night. My RE wants it taken between 6-10 pm. I give my injection around 8ish.

shelby - Yay for a schedule! As for the lupron bleed, I started lupron on the 12th and began my bleed on the 18th. but i was also on BCP and was told that I shuld expect a bleed within 3-5 days of my last pill. So I don't know if that makes a difference.

Katie - i can only imagine how frustrated and anxious you are. I was cancelled once and can't imagine how I would feel being cancelled twice. Hopefully this will be your BFP cycle!

fitz - glad all is going well! grow follies grow!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Good Morning!
At least it was until I discovered that the coffee maker decided to backflow a whole pot of coffee all over the counter. Yep, that sure makes for a fun start to your day. What a mess! I am wondering if the BCPs are making me moody? Well, b****y actually. I feel like I'm biting off DH's head often. Then I feel terrible about it. I know stims can get to you a bit, but bcp's ? Anyone else had this?

cheekyone - so happy to see you here! I've still got my fingers crossed for your FET to happen this month. Will you work on another globe this time around? xoxo

shelby - I'm with you on the "lets have twins" train. Ahh, we can hope, cant we?

turtle - if you are on 1 injection per day, try to keep it to the same time daily ( plus its easier to remember that way!) If you are on 2 per day ( most stims are 2x day) You'll want to do them every 12 hrs to ensure a steady supply of the meds into your system. I set the alarm on the cell phone ( that saved me more than once!) You'll get used to the shots quick dont worry about it, you'll do just fine!

wolffie - thanks! I hope that this time it will be BFPs for everybody!

michele - Hope Ella's big day goes off without a hitch!

hugs & pma to us all!! xoxo

I can't wait to hear the updates from mjay and dtao. Can't wait, can't wait!!! :D

turtle - Our clinic told us to try to take the meds within a 30 minute window each day. I totally understand the SHOCK from all of the meds and needles in the boxes. I still freak out. I made sure everything was there, then I put everything in a drawer/fridge until I need it. That way, I'm not looking at it all of the time.

cheeky - Welcome aboard!! Wow - hooray for your frosties. We'd love for you to join us.

katie - I'm only on BCP right now, and I've definitely been b****y lately. Holy cow - my poor DH. He's really good about it though.

PMA to all!!!

OMG, I'm finally feeling alive again. I don't understand why everyone says that ER is no big deal. Because that's all I've been reading, I went into it thinking it was nothing, and I was actually looking forward to being put under.

That part was fine (I still like it!), but when I woke up I was in a lot of pain. I felt like some really hard cramping was going on down there, and it was really sore. I asked for more pain meds right away, but was given none. Or maybe they did put some in my IV, but I didn't feel it.

Anyway, about 30 mins later I was released with the promise of a pain prescription to be called in for me so I could pick it up on my way home. I felt really yucky, in pain and HUNGRY. So DH went to get some food, which made me feel better after I ate it, but meds were still not ready. I tried to sleep.

Finally around 2pm DH finally went to get the Tylenol+codeine. By that time I was in even more pain than before! Apparently while I was sleeping, a bunch of fluid backed up into my abdominal area all the way up to the ribs. I spent the next 12+ hours in agony (even with the codeine): pain in every position except on my hands and knees, abdomen bloated and hard to the touch, gaining 3 lbs!

I called the clinic and was told to drink lots of fluids, keep weighing myself, and go in first thing at 7am if I don't start to feel better or was gaining more weight. I was dreading a hospital visit because I had read some horror stories on OHSS. I started drinking Gatorade and ate two hard-boiled eggs for protein (advice from the internet) and sometime around 4 am I started feeling better. I peed a bunch of times during the night, and weight dropeed 1.4 lbs. Finally got some sleep.

This morning my doctor personally called me around 7:30. He was concerned I hadn't gone in to see him. I told him I was feeling better, and he said that I will continue to feel better and relax, it wasn't OHSS, just my ovaries leaking some fluid after the retrieval. And he gave me his personal cell phone number just in case.

I am still sore and bloated, but not the kind of debilitating pain as yesterday. I know it could have been a lot worse, and in a way I dodged a bullet, I hope none of you have the experience I've had.

Final count of eggs retrieved was 7 (he had trouble getting to my left ovary, it was hiding above my uterus, so didn't get all the eggs there), 5 mature, 5 fertilized. I was disappointed because I was told there were 10+ follicles, but I guess 100% of mature eggs fertilized isn't bad.

And I am grateful that so many of you had thought about me. ET is on Monday at 1:30. Hopefully I am feeling "normal" by then, since I can't imagine anything poking and prodding around down there right now.

ok...sooo i tossed and turned last night with needle nightmares and ended up giving up and waking up at 530 this morning...then i sat and waited until i could call my dr.'s office so i could triple check with the nurse that i should be taking my lupron in the mornings and not at night like you guys do. she assured me it was 10 units every morning at the same time. so i waited until 9am which seemed like a good time to do my injections each day. i went upstairs and woke up DH so he could help me. i never had to inject anything into my body by myself so once i prepped the syringe it took me a little while to convince my hand that it was a good idea to jab it into my stomach, but i did it!!! woohoo first day down....hopefully this will stop the evil dreams and i can sleep well tonight. like i said from the beginning i am trying to focus on this one step at a time, and i just took one big ol step! :D
i hope everyone is doing well!

hey ladies! thanks for all the well wishes. it really meant a lot. unfortunately, my experience was a lot like dtao. i woke with excruciating pain. apparently it took me 3 times as long as everyone else to come around and use the bathroom so i could leave. i could hardly walk afterward. i made it home and only could sit up to sleep. DH tried to have me lay down and i thought i would die! WARNING TMI...i woke up at about 12:30 and sat on the toilet for about 1/2 hour and passed so much gas! i felt soooo much better. i woke up today with a lot of soreness and it's still hard to move around, but i feel much better. i had 26 eggs, and 18 fertilized! still no word about when ET is, but i hope i feel better by then. if not, my RE said it will be a freeze all cycle.
