Hi ladies, hope you're all doing well. I was able to catch up on the last couple of pages of updates and see a lot has happened since I was on the board last time.

Karen, congrats on your special early delivery and can't wait to see pictures of Nathan!

Bell01, congrats on your great news. So happy for you!

Foreverlove, best wishes to you on 8/26. Not too much longer now!

Chris, I'm sending you all of the PMA possible. I so hope you get your BFP this time. Any news since Friday?

Gina, I got your message and so sorry I haven't had a chance to call you back yet. You are so sweet to check in. I'm wishing you the best with your upcoming c-section and can't wait to hear your news once he's here. Keep me posted ok?

Hi Wishing, Lynnie, Babyhope, MuchHope, and everyone else.

Just a quick update from me, I was induced on 7/1 due to preeclampsia and had our beautiful Caitlyn Grace on 7/2. She was 7 lbs, 7 ozs and 19 1/2 inches long. We're doing well and learning as we go. I will try and post a picure on photobucket. Hugs to you all!

Wonderance -- CONGRATS on the birth of you little Girl. YEAH!!! Can't wait to see photos.

Gina - not too much longer. Will be keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes well with your C-section.

NY4thtry - haven't heard from you in awhile. How is it going with you?

AFM - Not looking good. Cycle is probably a bust. I had 5 eggs retrieved, 3 were mature, 2 fertilized. Today is day 5 and my embryos are not in the blast stage. They are going to check tomorrow and if they aren't blast by then I am not transferring anything. I guess better to do that then go through the 2ww and get another BFN.

Now I am trying to figure out what to do next. Do another cycle with my eggs, and do DHEA and not tell my RE, or go with DE. I have 1 cycle left that my current insurance will pay for and my insurance will cover medical expenses for DE. After that I can switch policies and possibly get more coverage but it wouldn't cover a whole cycle. Also my DH has a new job so I might get more coverage out of his insurance in a few months. So technically I could try one more cycle with my eggs and still do donor egg and not pay out of the butt for expenses. I just don't know if mentally I can do another cycle with my eggs.

Why can't anything be easy????

Chris --- Did they make it to blast? I was just where you were. I had one more cycle left and was trying to decide if I should donor eggs or my eggs and I did my eggs and it worked! I got so lucky with the right egg.

I was reading a thread where people go to Europe for donor eggs...dunno if its cheaper or what, but barcelona sounded super fun! Nice vacation while making your baby!

Let us know what happens. I vote another cycle with your eggs..you can do it...we all somehow find the ability to keep going...crazy stuff!

I also switched my DH's insurance to get that last round!

lynniecat - No my eggs didn't make it to blasts, so i had no transfer. Now I am stuck with the decision of DE or my eggs. I started taking DHEA yesterday. I know my clinic is against it and believes it hurt the eggs more the helps but they way I look at it, my eggs can't get any worse then they already are. Plus, if CCRM is using it and they are one of the top clinics, I can't see where it can be too bad.
I will have a follow up with my RE, after that I will probably make a definite decision on DE or my eggs. Right now I think I am leaning more toward my own eggs and then try and scrounge up for a cycle for DE if that is needed later on. If I use DE, time and age is not so much of an issue so I could take a break for a while and not feel guilty about it.
Yes, a vacation in Barcelona does sound nice, but I can't get DH on a plane.

I am so sorry Chris, I want this for you more than anything. You have been through so much. I think you have made a great choice in the timing, your eggs now...then if you needed to, out of pocket the DE cycle. I paid for mine out of pocket, it didn't work remember. However, ARC is a nationwide group that your clinic may point you toward that assisted me with a loan for IVF at 1.9% interest for 18 months. since this is their business they get the procedure at a discounted rate. So I believe it was 10,400 instead of 12,800. Plus the cost of meds. They had a deal too where you can pay $5K for a refund if you buy three cycles and it doesn't work. But enough of all that, you will not need this info anyway because it will work...I will pull some strings in heaven for you! Besides, I have great hope, great "babyhope" for your next cycle! Just know we are always there for you.

Thanks so much Babyhope. Right now I am thinking of doing 1 more cycle with my eggs. I feel really blessed that I have had insurance to pay for all of this crap. I think through 7 cycles I might have had to pay $3500 out of pocket. So if it ends up that I have to do DE, we will just have to suck it up and pay out of pocket. Thanks for the info on financing. It might come in handy later on.

You are so lucky you got pregnant without doing IVF again.

Thanks for being there for me. I am sure you all are tired of hearing me gripe. I don't know what I would do without all my cyber friends. DH just doesn't even realize or could begin to understand all the crap that I have running through my brain. Sometimes I don't think I think about anything else but IVF.

Don't ever feel we are putting up with any crap...we all rode this emotional, financial, physically draining roller coaster. That is what we are here for, to be each other's sounding boards. We all fully support you in your journey. Yes, it is very consuming, I could tell when I make mistakes at work (I do accounting so they are all clearly pointed out) because it is mentally consuming, every day every follicle, every measurement, it is always on your mind, the top of your mind. We are always here to listen. A friend once told me that things work out in the end and if they haven't worked out yet then it isn't the end. It was advice I took with a grain of salt and a grunt at the time but has some truth, it will work out for you, your dreams will be fulfilled, I certainly believe in you. Anyone that has the courage and strength to put their body through that 7 times is absolutely the strongest and most motivated woman I know.

Hello ladies. I hope that everyone is doing well. I just wanted to log in quickly and do a few personals because I don't have much time.

Chris I just want to say that I am so sorry that the cycle didn't work for you this tme. I was really hoping and praying that it would be a success. I know that this may be emotionally and finacially draining for you but you are such a strong person to keep going. After all, keep pushing for what you want! I will continue to pray that the next cycle is a success whether it's with your eggs or DE.

Gina Glad to see you checking in. I know exactly how you feel by staying busy trying to get everything in order before the birth of little eric. I know we may not hear from you until after his birth but I wish you, little eric and DH many blessings. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing the pics after you've recovered.

Wonderce Good to hear from you. Congrats on baby Caitlyn, she was a big girl. I know that you are enjoying her. I also had complications from the onset of preeclampsia and had to deliver early. Congrats to you and DH and have fun enjoying your baby girl.

Elida It was good to read that things are going well for your baby girls. I could only imagine how busy you and DH have been running back and forth to the hospital and I know that its hard leaving them there everyday. But I am so happy that Arianna will be joining you guys at home soon and I am sure Angelina will be joining you guys soon after. I will continue to pray for you and your family.

As for me, I delivered 7/11, three weeks prior to my scheduled C-sec due to problems with preeclampsia. All of a sudden last week my blood pressure went up and I headaches that wouldn't go away even with Tylenol 3 given to me at the hospital so the doctors became concerned. Initially I went to the hospital for observation but when the headaches would not leave they felt it was best to deliver my baby girl early. Although I was having problems, thankfully she wasn't affected at all. Talyah was born 7/11, weighed 6lbs. 8.7 oz and was 18 inches long. I am adjusting to being a mom and I am loving every minute of it. I will post pics as soon as I can.

Hello NY, Kas, Karen babyhope and everyone else. I hope all is well with you.

NY4THTRY- you don't know me, but i can tell you're struggling today. but the keyword is TODAY. you are very strong and courageous to remain hopeful and positive through the roller coaster rides of infertility. you are down for only a moment. it will pass and you will get back to the PMA that you need to give it a go again. until then, i'll have PMA for the both of us! i totally understand how you feel about being secure in other aspects of your life. sometimes i feel guilty for not being content with eveything else i have been blessed with and for being OBSESSED with IVF. and this is just the beginning of my journey, BUT, i have faith that my journey will be a short one and yours will be about to end-both with BFPs!!!! You can do this!

NY4thtry - (((HHUUGGSS))) -- I am right with you. Will this ever work? You never know but we have to hang in there and keep trying at least until all the funds run out and we can't try any longer. You have some really good embies that are frozen and hopefully you will get more with this cycle so I think you have a really good shot for a BFP. I am wishing you the best of luck and no you are not being selfish. Post whenever you need to. DH's just don't understand what we go through and that is why this board is here so we can share in the laughs and the frustrations.
